Chapter 64-Training and relaxing
Murphy's POV
Murphy swings his sword at Indra. The Trikru leader blocks the swing and kicks Murphy in the leg. Murphy goes to the ground as Octavia takes a swing at Indra. Indra blocks the sword and punches Octavia in the face before she kicks him in the stomach. Octavia falls on her knees. Murphy tries to stand back up but is kicked in the chest sending him to the ground. Murphy lets out a breath. "Time out," Murphy says as he looks at the ceiling. "We will take a small break," Indra says as she puts her sword away and sits down. "You two attack seconds from each other. If you two learn to attack at the same time. You two will be a formidable foe against any warrior," Indra says.
"I think you broke a bone," Octavia says as she pants.
"You will be fine," Indra says. "I could have done a lot more damage," They hear a grunt as Billy is thrown up against the wall in the other room.
"I can't tell who has it worse. Us or him," Octavia says.
"Him, Luna is the only fighter who can match the commander," Indra says. "They trained together as children, but Luna left before the conclave. She founded Floukru a few years later after Lexa had already become Commander, so she was able to protect Luna from Titus,"
"Yeah, he seemed like a real joy to be around," Murphy says.
"He is not," Indra says.
"I was being sarcastic," Murphy says.
"Oh, my daughter trains under him. I only hope she becomes a better flamekeeper," Indra says. "Come on. We should keep going," Octavia and Murphy nod as they stand up and get into a fighting stance. Murphy makes the first move.
Wells POV
Wells has been looking for Ontari for the last hour when he finally found her at the back of camp by herself. "I have been looking for you. What are you doing over here?" Wells asks as he sits down beside her. Ontari looks at him and gives a small smile.
"Azgeda and Trikru do not have the best relationship. I don't want the army to see me and risk a fight," Ontari says.
"Hey, you don't live in Azgeda anymore. You live here with the hundred and Skaikru. If they have a problem with you, they'll have to go through me," Wells tells the Azgeda warrior, who smiles at him.
"It's hard to believe the first time we met was because I was holding you, hostage," Ontari says.
"The first time we met Lincoln, we knocked him out, tied him up, almost tortured him, and he likes us. You didn't do anything like that before, did you?" Wells asks.
"No, not to Trikru at least," Ontari says. Wells stands up and holds his hand out to the Azgeda warrior, who smiles and grabs his hand.
"You are one of us, Ontari. You are family," Wells says. Ontari smiles at Wells and kisses his cheek.
"Thanks, Wells," Ontari says before she walks away. Wells smiles as he follows her. Wells walks to the center of the camp and sees his dad talking to a group of people. Wells walks over to them, and they stop talking when he gets over to them.
"What's going on?" Wells asks his father and the people.
"We are just talking, son," Jaha says.
"About?" Wells asks.
"We think that Billy is leading us the wrong way," Jaha says as he looks at his son.
"He's trying to get peace and save the people in the mountain," Wells says, defending their leader and friend.
"Our kids are stuck in that mountain, and we haven't made a move against them," One of the men says.
"We need a plan. We are also trying to save the grounders," Wells says.
"They aren't our people. We shouldn't be worrying about them," The man says. "We should be saving our own people,"
"The grounders are our people. We would have lost a lot more people if not for Nyko, Roan, and Lincoln," Wells says. "They are family. I trust them with our lives. You gave your leadership to Billy,"
"A decision I am starting to regret," Jaha says.
"Dad, he knows what he is doing," Wells says.
"He has a child breathing down his neck telling him what to do," Jaha says as his voice starts to rise.
"She has been the Commander since she was 12. She united all the clans. She is a great leader," Wells says, defending Lexa. "She's is also a good person,"
"She would sell us out in a second and leave us for dead!" Jaha yells at his son, gaining the attention of the others around him. "We are being led by two children who do not know what they are doing and putting us at risk!"
Billy's POV
Billy, Lexa, Raven, Jake, and Clarke go outside Alpha station after they heard the yelling. Billy looks at Jaha. "Your kids will be dead by the time we get there!" Jaha yells.
"You're wrong. The mountain wasn't harming the hundred in the mountain," Roy says. Jaha ignores him as the gate opens and Byrne and Frank come in. Jaha looks at Billy and Lexa.
"They have let grounders line up at our doorsteps able to kill us if any of them so feel. They are more concerned about saving the grounders!" Jaha says. "The hundred is a bonus!" Lexa looks at Billy.
"I got this," Billy says.
"I was elected chancellor on the Ark, and I gave my power believing that it was the best thing for our people. Now I realize that I have made a mistake. I am the leader of Skaikru. Major Byrne, I demand that you arrest Billy and Lexa," Jaha says. Lexa holds her hand up to Frank, who moves towards Jaha. "Do it now, Major!" Jaha screams at the blond.
"Byrne arrest Jaha and put him into lockup. If anybody tries to stop you arrest them as well," Billy tells Byrne, who nods.
"Yes, sir," Byrne says. Byrne moves towards Jaha. The man tries to swing at her. Byrne ducks and punches him in the face. She looks at David.
"Arrest him," Byrne says to David, who nods. Byrne walks up to Jaha and cuffs him, and takes him into Alpha station as David does the same with the man. Billy looks at the people.
"I promise you we are working to save both of our people. But if we march up to those doors, we will all die, and the kids will never get free. We want this plan to ensure that we can save as many people as possible, including the innocent people inside Mount Weather. We will save our people. Both of our people. Just give us time," Billy says to Skaikru. They nod. "If anybody feels the same as Jaha. Walk into that cell with him," Billy turns around and walks inside Alpha station, followed by the others. Billy looks at Byrne as she comes out of the room. "Two guards at all times. People you know are loyal," Byrne nods before she walks away. Frank walks out of the room.
"Frank, how are you?" Lexa asks.
"I am doing good. We were talking about training and trading when this happened. I hope you don't mind, Commander," Frank says.
"It is a good idea, Frank. Just keep us updated," Lexa says to the man, who nods as he leaves. "It seems like we may have some problems,"
"No kidding. Jaha made a scene out there and doubted you in front of your army. That could cause problems between the grounders," Billy says.
"If it does cause problems, I will deal with it," Lexa says. Billy nods and walks away.
Lexa's POV
Lexa was about to head back to her room when Abby came over to her. "Lexa, your mom wants to see you," Abby says to her daughter's girlfriend. Lexa looks at Abby and smiles. She walks past Abby, who starts to walk with her. "How does it feel seeing your mom again?"
"Good. I'm worried about what will happen when people find out about her still being alive," Lexa tells Abby.
"I think the only person who would try to do anything is Nia. I feel like the rest of the clans are loyal to you," Abby says to her. "We'll keep her safe for as long as you want,"
"Thank you, Abby," Lexa says to Abby.
"You're welcome, Commander," Abby says.
"You can call me Lexa, Abby," Lexa says to Abby, who nods as she leads her into the medical tent. Lexa goes over to Lucy, who was looking at the top of the tent. "You seem bored, mother,"
"I am bored. I don't have a lot to do besides talking to Abby when she is in here," Lucy says.
"When Abby gives the all-clear, you'll be able to leave," Lexa says. "We have to make sure you are okay,"
"I know," Lucy says. "Can you find me a book?"
"Yeah, I'll have Gustus bring it," Lexa says. Lucy nods as Lexa leaves the tent and goes outside. She sees Gustus by the gate talking to Niyal and Lena. Lexa walks into Alpha station and into her room, where Clarke was sitting on the couch drawing.
"Good you are here. Sit down," Clarke says. Lexa looks at her girlfriend and smirks.
"Why?" Lexa asks.
"I need something pretty to draw," Clarke says with a smile.
"Then draw yourself," Lexa says as she goes to the bookshelf. "I'll come back after I give a book to Gustus to give to my mother,"
"Maybe I'll be done with drawing by then," Clarke says. Lexa grabs a book and walks to the door.
"You better be," Lexa says before she opens the door and leaves. She walks to the front of Alpha station and sees Gustus, who was walking up to Alpha station.
"Heda," Gustus says.
"Gustus, can you take this book to my mother?" Lexa asks Gustus, who nods.
"Of course, Heda," Gustus says before he leaves. Lexa turns around and walks back to her room, and locks the door. She loosens the straps on her armor and takes it off, leaving her in a t-shirt. She sets her armor down and sits down on the couch across from Clarke. Clarke sets her notebook down and looks at Lexa.
"Tired?" Clarke asks.
"Very much so," Lexa says. Clarke grabs Lexa and pulls over off the couch. "Clarke," Lexa says with a groan. Clarke pulls Lexa over to the bed and lays down. Lexa lays down beside Clarke, who wraps her arm around her girlfriend.
"Better?" Clarke asks.
"Much better," Lexa says as she closes her eyes. Clarke kisses the back of her neck, and Lexa opens her eyes. "Fuck sleep," Lexa turns around and kisses Clarke, who smiles as she grabs Lexa's shirt.
Gustus's POV
Gustus walks into medical and looks at Lucy, who was looking around. She sees Gustus and smiles at him. Gustus walks over to her and holds the book out to her. Lucy smiles and grabs the book. Lucy grabs the book with a smile. "Thank you," Lucy says. Gustus nods as he turns around to leave. "Are you Lexa's second or guard," Gustus turns and looks at her.
"I am her guard," Gustus says to her. "She doesn't need me. She is a brilliant fighter,"
"I suspected as much. It takes a lot to become Commander," Lucy says.
"I have been by her side for many years," Gustus says. "She means a lot to me,"
"Would you like to sit?" Lucy asks Gustus. Gustus looks at her for a moment before he sits down. "Maybe you could tell me about the last few years,"
"Sure," Gustus says as he starts to talk to her.
Claire's POV
Claire was outside of Alpha station helping the grounders when they needed it. Claire looks into the woods and sees a man up there. She looks at the others and walks up to the woods where the grounder stood. She looks at him. "What are you doing up here?" Claire asks.
"I saw someone moving up here. I think they went a little deeper in. I think it was an Azgeda warrior," The man says.
"I'll go get some men," Claire says as she turns around.
"We can deal with it ourselves. It's just one man," The man says. Claire looks at him for a moment before she walks him. She walks with him for a few minutes and stops when she hears a noise in front of them. Claire pulls out her sword as the man pulls out his knife. "Ai badanop ai haiplana," The man brings his knife forward and into Claire's stomach. Claire drops her sword and looks at him. "Yu gonplei ste odon," The man pulls his knife out, and Claire goes to the ground. She holds her hand to her stomach and starts to crawl back to camp. She grabs a branch and pulls herself up. She gets to the edge of the forest and could see camp as she fell to the ground. She hears a yell as she looks up at the sky. "May we meet again," Claire says as she looks at the sky and the sun. She sees the first man as her world goes black.
Thanks for reading. This chapter was fun, and it will now be a two-parts. The next chapter will reveal Claire's fate and how the others deal with it. Roy for sure and how they will deal with the man who attacked her. I'm excited about it, and I hope you are too. As always, suggestions, ideas, and feedback are welcomed. Until next time.
