Day 2 - 3:00 PM

Sesshoumaru's beast was seething. How dare his general spy on them and interrupt their precious time together!?

Sesshoumaru's more logical side though, was almost thankful for the intrusion. He had been so close to marking her, so close to making her his in every way. If it had not been for Takashi's timely interuption, it may have already been too late.

"Perhaps we should discuss this more privately, my Lord." Takashi lifted his head up to reply, his eyes moving to the left, where he could feel Kagome popping her head out behind him.

"No." He replied. He did not wish to waste any more time than necessary dealing with this matter. "Speak."

Takashi met Sesshoumaru's eyes with confusion. Was he really expected to speak freely in front of a random human?

"My Lord…" He began.

"Do not make me repeat myself, Takashi." Sesshoumaru interrupted.

His voice held a hard edge. "Of course, forgive me." Takashi cleared his throat. "Lady InuKimi is requesting your presence. The Northern, Southern and Eastern clans will be paying us a visit soon." He said.

"What is the reasoning behind these visits." Sesshoumaru demanded. His youki swirling around him angrily. He could feel Kagomes hands ball up against his back. The tension in the air obviously affecting the little miko. Seeing as how there was no real threat, he decided to let his youki relax. His hair fell around him and he could feel her relax as well. Sesshoumaru furrowed his brows, he did not like how tuned in he was to her every move, especially now that he had to deal with his general and this impromptu meeting. He needed to keep his focus on the demon in front of him, but that was proving nearly impossible to do with the little miko vixen behind him.

"Lady InuKimi has sent for them. The Southern clan is already there." Takashi replied. His shoulders had visibly relaxed as well without the constant pressure of his alphas youki pressing down on him.

Sesshoumaru struggled to keep his composure. Of all the ridiculous reasons to return home...what the hell was InuKimi thinking.

"Leave." Sesshoumaru ground out.

Takashi stood up and bowed. Taking one last look at the blessedly silent miko that still hid from him, and left.

"Sesshoumaru?" Her gentle voice cooled his still heated beast.

He turned around to face her. The moment was gone, he could tell by the look in her eyes. "Let's go." He took her hand and continued to lead her back towards the caves. He contemplated his options on the silent walk, but as much as he would love to ignore his mothers request and continue to spend his time with Kagome, it would not be possible. Having all the clans at his fortress was trouble and he knew it.

There was really only one question he needed to answer now: 'Where did they go from here?'
