A/N Great news, Bianca (blvnk) is back drawing Hinny and this ficlet was based on one she posted several days ago. Enjoy!
Harry Potter wondered if kissing Ginny would always feel like an 'occasion'. From their epic first kiss in the Gryffindor common room, to that wonderful yet poignant kiss on his seventeenth birthday, right till now, each kiss, each touch was etched in his memory.
God knows, he'd dreamed about kssing her (and more) back in his sixth year, before there was a HarryandGinny. But his dreams paled insignificantly compared to the real thing.
He was the luckiest bloke in the world.
Even better, was that he would get to kiss her (and more) for the rest of his life.
"Ahem."
He started, almost expecting to see Umbridge standing in front of him. Instead, Ginny stood there, looking up at him in amusement. The girl had always been too good at impressions.
"Gonna kiss me today, Potter?" she asked.
"Try and stop me...Mrs Potter," he retorted with a smirk.
"Well, get on with it, why don't you?" she taunted, making their guests laugh.
Her eyes blazed with love, for him and him alone.
"My pleasure." This, this, was the kiss he'd been waiting for, for so long.
They each took a step towards each other, entwining their arms around the other and joining their lips, as they had done so many times before, and would do so many times in the future.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, it is my absolute privilige to announce, Mr and Mrs Potter," beamed Kingsley Shacklebolt.
Their family and friends applauded, but Harry and Ginny simply kept kissing.
Standing next to Harry, Ron leaned in and whispered loudly, "Oy!" This too, was something he'd had to do many times before, and would do many times in the future.
"Ronald!" hissed Hermione, standing behind Ginny. "They're having a moment."
" I don't fink they're allowed to kiss that much," whispered Victoire, seeing her papa frowning from the second row. She twisted so her pretty flower girl dress fanned out.
"Nah, they do it all the time," said Teddy, rolling his eyes. He tugged at his tie. "Can I take this off now? You said it was just for the cere- cere-"
"Ceremony," finished Hermione, her hand on his shoulder. "Just as soon as we get inside the Burrow, we can take it off."
The guests were laughing as Harry and Ginny seemed blissfully oblivious to their audience.
"Save something for the honeymoon, Potters," bellowed George.
"Scandalous!" gasped Aunt Muriel, not that anyone listened to anything she had to say.
Harry and Ginny broke apart, but smiled goofily into each other's eyes before realising they were being watched.
Harry blushed endearingly but Ginny took it in stride.
"Time to party!" she yelled, grabbing Harry's hand and they walked down the aisle, hurriedly followed by their bridal party.
They were ready to begin their lives together, and if that meant sneaking off for kisses during their reception, well, it was their wedding and they were Harry and Ginny, and it was just one of those things they did best!
