It was no surprise to anyone at the Playa that Haley had been somewhat of a sobbing mess lately. Sebastian was always in things for himself, and no matter what the case was, he ignored her when she tried to comfort him and offer her help. Taylor took it upon herself to deal with Sebastian, especially after he spilled something very embarrassing about her in front of Alex, but there was yet to be anyone who tried to help Haley in all of this. At least, until Alexis noticed how upset the girl was. She saw her sitting at the bar in the center of the pool, twirling her straw in her cup, and decided to join her. She needed to take a break from taking care of Flint, any who.
"Hey," Alexis greeted the martial artist, sitting next to her in the process.
"Hey," Haley mumbled back to her, not looking up from the glass that was in front of her.
"How's it going?"
"Just peachy. I couldn't be better."
"Okay, the sarcasm wasn't necessary...You just seemed kinda down so I thought I would try to...uh...cheer you up?"
Haley glanced over at her, revealing that her eyes were red from all the crying she had done before. She sighed, rubbing her eyes with her hands, though not changing anything.
"No offense, but how is anything supposed to cheer me up? I mean...my boyfriend thinks I'm completely against him all the time..."
"Maybe you...should...uh...talk to him! Like, tell him that he's making you feel like this!"
"Pfft...he won't care. It's not his problem."
"I mean, it kinda is his problem."
"All he cares about is himself, not me."
"So why are you dating him? There's a ton of other guys who would treat you better."
"But he's the first person to actually spend time talking to me...even though I'm a good for nothing-"
"Haley, come on! You aren't good-for-nothing or a bad girlfriend, you're super sweet! You keep talking yourself down, but its like you're having a hard time realizing all the things that he's doing wrong! You literally said he wouldn't care about how he's making you feel, doesn't that make you angry?"
"...Sorry."
"Why are you apologizing? You don't need to apologize for anything."
"But I always apologize when I do something wrong."
"You're not doing anything wrong though...Haley, you're having a slumber party with me and...uh..."
Alexis glanced around at the other girls, trying to figure out who would be a good fit for the bill.
"You, me, and Anne! Slumber party in my room, tonight!"
"But what's that-"
"We're gonna show you that you don't need him...and also maybe watch some romance movies, and paint our nails, and-"
"I don't think I want to-"
"Too late!"
Without a moment to spare, Alexis grabbed Haley's arm, dragging her through the pool with her and heading on over to Anne.
"Oh, hey, Alexis!" the jokester waved to the two before her, "And...Haley! What's up?"
"We're having a slumber party in my room tonight, us three!" Alexis boasted, a proud smile on her face.
"Uh, but me and Natt were kinda gonna...you know, like date night? We were gonna cuddle and watch more comedy movies, that sort of thing."
"All of our date nights end with him falling asleep whenever we do anything I like," Haley murmured.
"That's horrible!" Alexis exclaimed.
"Okay, okay!" Anne nodded at the girls, "I will tell Natt to postpone our date night and join you in this chuckle party!"
"Slumber party, you mean," Alexis questioned the girl's joke.
"Sure, yeah! But what fun will it be without jokes?"
"Oh, boy..."
Haley let out a sigh, not sure of what was going to be happening at the slumber party, but fearing that it may not be good for her.
