The Friday afternoon that Marley and Jillian arrived, Kurt was working and Sebastian was taking a final exam, so Isabelle sent a car to collect them at the airport and bring them to her office. Once they put the guest passes on that Isabelle had left for them, they waited for the elevator. After they stepped inside, Jillian texted Kurt, who left his office to meet them. They followed him back to Isabelle's office.

"Jillian and Marley!" she said as they stepped in. "It's good to see the two of you. It seems like a long time since Thanksgiving, even thought it's just been two weeks." She got up and hugged both of them. "Take your coats off. Kurt's going to take you down where you can watch one of the shoots that's taking place this afternoon while he finishes his shift."

The two of them were in Isabelle's office talking when Kurt went to get them.

"Ready?"

"Sure," Marley answered. She got up and hugged him. "I have a surprise."

"What?"

"You know how I said the school I'm going to has a weird schedule and the semester didn't end yet and that finals are the second week after winter break?"

"I remember."

"My mom helped me win my appeal and I took my finals in the in-school suspension room yesterday and the day before."

"That's perfect and exciting."

"I know." She buttoned her coat and reached for her mini backpack and put it back in her carryon and put the strap on over her head to wear it cross-body.

Jillian wrapped her scarf around her neck. "Let's get going. I'm starving." She put her carryon on over her head, pulled the handle up on her suitcase, and rolled it towards the door.

Marley did the same and followed her.

"Well, everything is ready to just stick in the oven when we get home. We can stop somewhere on the way if you want to get a snack before we head home."

"Is Sebastian home already?" Jillian asked.

"Probably?"

"I'm going to text him and ask him to put whatever it is in the oven."

"Okay." He looked around and didn't see anything laying around.

Isabelle came scurrying in. "I'm done. I'm done." She grabbed her coat and bag. "Let's go." Kurt held her bag while she put her coat on as the walked towards the elevator. Before they got there, she stopped everyone.

"Marley, honey."

"Yes?" she turned around.

"Do you have any other boots?"

"I have another pair at home, but these are nicer. I already told Kurt that I wanted to go out shopping for a new pair while we're here."

"Follow me." She turned on her heels and made a beeline for the room where they kept the items that the designers didn't want returned, but they hadn't done anything with yet. She ushered Marley in. "You two can just wait for us. It's not that roomy in here."

Jillian followed her in.

"So, look through these and pick two pairs that you like. Don't look at me like I'm doing you some favor you don't deserve. Kurt has to find a place to donate this stuff by next week to make room for the newer stuff I need to move in here. Everyone in the office has already taken what they wanted."

She looked through the boots and tried five pairs on. She chose a brown pair and a black pair quickly, but was still wearing a deep red pair.

"You can have those too. I really like them. They're fun. You're only young once. If you like them, keep them."

"Seriously?"

"Yes. Let me grab a bag to put them all in. We'll stop by a place and get some waterproofing spray. Put your old boots back on for now."

As soon as she had them laced, the four of them were back on their way to the elevator.

Kurt wanted to see what was in the bag.

Isabelle pushed his hand away when he tried to sneak a peek. "You can see later," she teased.

Sebastian came to the door when he heard Kurt's key in the door. He took Isabelle's coat and hung it up. She went into their spare room and came back out a few minutes later with her hair in a ponytail, wearing a burgundy Aviation Nation sweatsuit and a pair of coordinating grippy-bottomed socks.

Kurt had taken Marley's new boots out onto the fire escape sprayed all of them while Isabelle changed.

"It smells really good in here. I'm famished. I skipped lunch so I could leave earlier."

"Well, that looks great on you," Kurt said, as he climbed back into the apartment through the window. "I wondered where it had gone." He took the boots and put them in the bathroom and turned the vent on.

She served herself some of the 7-layer dip that was sitting on the stovetop, added some sour cream, guacamole, and salsa, and then grabbed a tortilla and a handful of corn chips before she joined everyone else at the table. "I took it and the other two. They fit so well. And they're not so ridiculously priced that I feel like I can't just relax in them. Plus, we're going ice skating. I cannot possibly ice skate in what I had on at work."

Kurt chortled and about choked. "I think not." He followed along behind her and filled his plate as well.

Marley said, "I really like this. Can I get the recipe?"

"Sure," Sebastian said. "I'll send it to you. "It's great for things like this because you can prep it the night before."

Between the five of them, they managed to polish off the whole pan. Kurt put the leftover toppings in the fridge while Sebastian loaded the dishwasher. Marley changed into jeans while Jillian and Isabelle sat at the table and talked.

"Do you think I could wear a pair of the new boots?"

"Let me check." Kurt went and grabbed the can of shoe spray. He came back. "I'm afraid not, but I'm glad I looked. It said to let them dry an hour and then reapply the spray. I'm going to do that really quickly." He walked towards the bathroom. "You'll be able to wear them tomorrow morning."

"Okay." She went back into the guest room.

A few minutes later, they were all bundled up and headed to Rockefeller Center to see the tree and go skating.

Saturday evening, Santana stepped inside and declared, "This party can get started."

"Hello to you too, Santana," Kurt said, as he closed the door behind her. "But we've been partying for about two hours already."

She rolled her eyes. "Now the real party can get started," she repeated.

Sebastian took the she pushed towards him, but he grabbed her wrist as well. He pulled her over towards the closet. "Be nice. Just because someone from Lima is here does not mean that you need to slip back into that haughty façade to hide the person who hated herself." He let go of her and hung her coat up. "You are a Broadway actress and college student. You are amazing and talented and beautiful. Just be yourself. Marley barely knew you. Jillian doesn't know the old you at all."

She wrapped her arms around his neck and hugged him. "Thank you. You're right. I'm not that scared, hateful teenager anymore. I'm 20 years old and I'm not afraid of who I am now. I'm good." She wiped her eyes a bit. "Let's have fun."

Kurt had gone to look for them when they didn't follow him, but he stopped short when he heard Sebastian giving Santana a pep talk. He turned back and started making the face masks. They walked along behind him into the living room. He took the mixture into the living room and started with Marley. He worked his way around and by the time he finished with Dani, Santana had finished her shower and joined them.

"You did make us guacamole, right?"

"I did," Kurt answered.

Santana said, "Good. I don't think I could sit here smelling this if I didn't get some guac afterwards.

"We just had a snack earlier. We're having chicken salad made with guacamole instead of mayo on fresh pretzel rolls that we picked up this afternoon at the bakery."

"Sounds interesting," she said.

"It's delicious," Sebastian said. "I tasted it when we were making it."

When he finished Santana's mask, he went in the bathroom do his own. When he came back out, everyone was sitting in a circle on the floor.

"Truth or Dare?" Santana asked.

"No," Kurt answered flatly.

"No?"

"No, I don't want to play Truth or Dare. If we just want to sit around and ask each other questions, I'm okay with that, but I don't want there to be something hanging over someone's head. And if the person doesn't want to answer, then they don't have to."

"Sure, whatever," she said. "So, Kurt." She paused. "Why weren't you in Mr. Ryerson's choir? I know that Rachel was. Tina and Artie weren't at McKinley yet."

"Mr. Ryerson creeped me out. He always looked at me like I was on the dessert menu. He was also too touchy-feely for my tastes. I looked in a few times and I saw him put his hands on people's shoulders and then on their abdomens and tell them to breathe from their diaphragms. I just couldn't. No thanks."

"I knew he was a creep, but I never saw him actually put his hands on people's stomachs. Eww."

Kurt said, "Marley. Umm. What was your favorite birthday?"

"This one. I finally got to take driver's ed when we moved back to Columbus and my mom was off and in between working on the house, we went for drives and we'd talk whenever we made it halfway through the trip. Each time, we'd pick a small town somewhere outside of Columbus and drive there. So, we'd find someplace to just sit and talk for like 15 minutes before we'd make the drive back. So, the week of my birthday, I had finally driven enough hours that I could get my license. We went in first thing that morning when the line was short. I got my license and we went out for breakfast. We just had a really nice time. And then then Jillian and I came here for the weekend. And I had a lot of fun."

Marley asked Jillian the same question. They all ended up telling about their favorite birthdays by the time they could remove their masks.

Once they had washed their faces, Kurt and Sebastian made sandwiches for everyone and let them put their own additions on. They sat around the table and talked more. Everyone loved the sandwiches. Marley asked for the recipe, saying that she wanted to build a recipe collection before she moved out on her own.

Sebastian got up and pulled their recipe collection off of one of the upper shelves and closed the cabinet door back. He put it down on the table and showed Marley.

"Oh, wow. I want to do this. I've never seen half-size binders before. At some point while we're here, I want to go to wherever you got this and buy one so I can start putting my favorite recipes in it. This is so much better than the sleeves for index cards I saw. I can print them and keep them protected in these binder sleeves."

Once they finished eating, Dani pulled out the movie she had rented for the evening, which was Despicable Me 2.

Marley looked at it. "I've never seen the first one."

"We'll have to remedy that," Kurt said. He got up and grabbed the first one out of the credenza and put it in. "We'll watch both."

Sunday morning, they all got up and shared a loaf of Kurt's lemon cranberry almond loaf, something new he had tried back a few weeks. Sebastian had loved it, but not as much as the lemon poppyseed with mini blueberries. Kurt decided to make another loaf of it and it was a hit with the group. After they finished their cups of tea and coffee, they bundled up to head out to the flea markets.

Mid-morning, Isabelle picked them up in a car and they went out to an estate sale, where all of the girls found things they couldn't leave behind. Kurt found a few really nice vests that had the fabric on the front and the back that he really liked. Sebastian found a puzzle book from the 1930s and bought it.

After lunch, Santana had to head to the theater. Dani, Kurt, and Sebastian needed to study for the finals the following two days. Isabelle took Jillian and Marley to her place for the afternoon.

Marley and Jillian returned from their second day of campus visits not long before Kurt got home from work. He came in and headed straight to the shower. Sebastian was ready to go wearing the charcoal suit that Isabelle had gifted him from the vault that summer. It fit perfectly after Kurt had tailored it.

Kurt blew his hair dry and fixed it quickly. He dressed in a deep navy suit that fit him perfectly as well. They said their goodbyes to the girls and headed to the theater. They met up with Dani and sat with her. When they got to their seats, Mr. and Mrs. Lopez were already seated.

"Kurt," Mrs. Lopez said. "It's good to see you."

"You too, Mrs. Lopez." He leaned back and motioned down the row. "This is my boyfriend Sebastian, and our friend Dani."

"It's nice to meet the two of you," she said. "I'm so excited to see Santana in this. I've never watched the movie. I'm just so thrilled for her that she's getting to perform tonight. Being the understudy is an amazing role, but getting to perform has to be so amazing for her."

"It is. I'm really excited as well. She's extremely talented. And sticking with being the understudy will help her get a lead role eventually, if that's what she wants."

"I was just excited that she's gone back to school to study something that interests her. And she's getting to perform like she loves," Mr. Lopez said. "She wasn't happy in Louisville. She loves it here from everything she's said to us."

Kurt nodded. "I love it here too. Not that there aren't bad things about it, but the good outweighs the bad."

The lights went down and they all focused on the stage.

When the show ended, all five of them went backstage. Kurt, Sebastian, and Dani went first quickly, so that her parents would have longer with her.

Kurt knocked and waited for her to answer before he opened the door. The three of them stepped inside and closed the door behind them.

"You were amazing!" Sebastian was the first to hug her and step back to lean against the door.

"You were." Kurt hugged her quickly as well. "Really fantastic."

Dani kissed her quickly and hugged her. "You were so, so good, babe. I love you. I'll be at home waiting for you."

The three of them left together and let her parents in before Kurt pulled the door closed.

"She was really amazing," Dani said, wiping a few tears from her eyes. "She's going to tell her parents when they go out to dinner."

Kurt wrapped his arms around Dani and held her close for a few seconds.

"I'm going to lunch with her, with them before they leave tomorrow. I'm nervous, but excited too. I know that she dated a girl before, but I get the impression that they never really moved past the idea of her liking girls to the idea that she was actually going to be in an adult relationship with a woman." She took a deep breath. "I just want it to go well."

"You're amazing. Anyone who doesn't like you is just," he rolled his eyes. "Just nuts."

She laughed. She took his hand and wrapped her arm around Sebastian's waist as they left the theater.

Thursday afternoon Kurt came in from work and went directly to the shower, as usual. He ruffled Sebastian's hair as he walked past him reading on the sofa. Since Marley and Jillian were out, Kurt didn't bother to grab clothes to take into the bathroom with him. He dropped his work clothes into the washing machine and turned it on as he came out of the bathroom before he went into their bedroom where he found that Sebastian had moved to their while he was in the shower. He had a huge mischievous grin on his face and his hands were behind his back. Kurt reached for his dresser drawer to get out some boxer briefs and sweats to put on.

"Nope. You won't be needing any of that." Sebastian reached out and snatched his towel.

Kurt turned to look at him and saw that Sebastian's grin had gotten even bigger. "I won't? Why's that?"

"Marley and Jillian won't be back for a couple of hours. And I took the liberty of turning the heat up while you were in the shower. Come sit on the bed."

"Naked?"

"Sounds perfect."

"But you have clothes on still."

"An easily-remedied issue. Sit down first, please." Sebastian rotated a bit, keeping his hands behind him.

Kurt sat in front of him.

"Close your eyes."

Kurt closed them.

Sebastian let go of what he had behind his back long enough to take his shirt off. He pulled a small box around to the front and placed it between them. "Open your eyes."

Kurt immediately noticed that he was missing his shirt. He reached out and put his hand on Sebastian's chest. When Sebastian looked down at the bed, Kurt's eyes followed his.

"A box of flavored lip balms? Those are cute. Did you get another one? Are they for Marley and Jillian?"

"They're for us. I'm going to put some on and you have to guess which flavor it is."

"Oh, my God! You got the test results? I can kiss you?"

"Yes, and yes."

Kurt swiftly moved the box of lip balms out of the way and kissed Sebastian pushing him backwards with his momentum He straddled his lap and got more comfortable and continued to kiss him. "It's been three weeks since we've kissed," he said as he caught his breath. "My lips have missed your lips." He pressed back in and kissed Sebastian like his life depended on it.

When they broke for air again, Sebastian teasingly asked, "So does that mean you don't want to play the game?"

"I do. I definitely do. I just couldn't wait for you to open the box and put some on." He went back to kissing Sebastian. "I love you."

"I love you too. I'm pretty fond of you jumping me and kissing me."

"I'm going to kiss you as much as possible before they come back." He kissed Sebastian again.

"We're going to need that lip balm then," Sebastian laughed.

"We will." He calmed his breath. "Okay. I think I'm ready." He scooted back enough that Sebastian could sit up. "I'm not getting off your lap though. I'll just close my eyes. You can pick one, put it on and kiss me." Kurt settled in and wrapped his legs around Sebastian.

Sebastian readjusted his legs to sit criss-cross like Kurt. He reached out and placed his hands on the sides of Kurt's neck, and then ran them across his shoulders and down his arms until he reached his hands. "You're so beautiful."

Kurt closed his eyes. 'I want to play your game. Please put one on and kiss me." He reached out and put his hands on Sebastian's waist.

Sebastian fiddled with the box to get it open. He hadn't considered how secure the packaging would be. He started to laugh. "This box is like a mini Fort Knox."

"It's to keep the tween girls from stealing them out of the package. Those big packs usually have flavors that aren't sold individually to encourage tween girls to beg someone to buy the box for them."

"Sounds about right." He finally got the end open and pulled one out. He turned his head to the side and popped the cap off and ran it across his lower lip and rubbed his lips together. He turned back and kissed Kurt.

"Orange."

"Yes."

Kurt leaned around Sebastian without getting up and grabbed the box of tissues on his night stand and put it next to Sebastian. He pulled one out and wiped his lips. Kurt closed his eyes and waited.

Once he applied another flavor, Sebastian leaned in to kiss Kurt again.

"Chocolate."

"Yes."

Sebastian went through the process again and kissed.

"Cherry."

"Yes. You're remarkably good at this, which is actually not at all surprising given the number of things you're good at, Superman."

Kurt laughed at the nickname. "I've had quite a bit of experience with lip balm. I have a bad habit of picking at any dry skin on my lips. I started using lip balm to keep my lips smooth. I used vanilla mostly. Sam introduced me to the crazy flavored ones."

"Sam?"

"Yeah, he had one of those racks that holds screwdrivers in his locker full of different flavors."

"That's hysterical."

"He's a funny guy. I miss his friendship. We've gotten busy with school and we've made a few new friends. And I know he's been busy trying to keep up with his core courses. He's been going to tutoring and getting help for his dyslexia. Sorry. I really do want to play your kissing game."

"We can switch? It will be a lot harder for me to guess the flavors."

"Sure. Close your eyes." Kurt waited and then chose the lemon one and put it on. He leaned forward and wrapped his hand behind Sebastian's neck and leaned in to kiss him.

Sebastian responded eagerly and kissed him back. "Lemon. It's the scent though, not the taste. It doesn't really taste like lemon."

"That's pretty much true for all of them. I think we'd have a really hard time guessing if we couldn't smell. Do you want to try another one?"

"Yes. I'm going to hold my nose." He pinched the end of his nose and kept his arm out of the way.

Kurt put on grape and leaned in and kissed Sebastian.

"Hmm." He puckered up again. "Again."

Kurt kissed him.

He let go of his nose. "Again."

Kurt kissed him once more.

"Again." He couldn't quite suppress his smirk.

"I see. You just want more kisses."

"I do. I want all of the kisses I can get." He opened his eyes, stood up as quickly as he could, and finished undressing. "I want to keep kissing."

"Without your clothes," Kurt deadpanned.

"Clothes are overrated," Sebastian teased. "Why do we need clothes?"

"You are are just trying to rile me up so I will tickle tackle you and kiss you quiet."

"Is it working yet?" He grinned.

Kurt grabbed him and pulled him back onto the bed and pinned him and started tickling him. Sebastian started to flail and cackle. He managed to pull Kurt down on top of him enough to wrap his arms around him.

"You're supposed to kiss me quiet, remember?"

"You weren't sassing or anything."

"Marc Jacobs new line is really lame."

"Says you." Kurt kissed him.

Sebastian used the kiss as a way to manage to flip their positions. He pinned Kurt's arms above his head and started to kiss along the back of Kurt's upper arm where he was ticklish in a good way. Sebastian reached over to Kurt's nightstand and opened the drawer to pull out what they needed. "Yes?"

"Yes."

Sebastian laid back down next to Kurt on his side and Kurt turned to face him and kissed him.

"Hop up so we can fold the comforter back. We don't have time to get it washed and dried before they get back."

Marley and Jillian let themselves back in. Sebastian woke up just enough to realize that they had come in when he heard them open the closet door to hang their coats up, but he didn't move in the slightest. He was reclined, not quite lying flat, but close, and Kurt had his arms wrapped around his neck and around his upper torso, lying on him absolutely comfortable in Sebastian's embrace with a slight smile on his face.

The girls came around the wall in the kitchen and saw them.

Jillian's expression softened as she saw the two of them. She spoke quieter than a whisper, "Sebastian Smythe, snuggler extraordinaire. Who would've thought?" She smiled at him. "You're a lucky guy. He's amazing."

"I know."

"Are we still on for the movie?" she asked.

"Yes, of course. That's why were here waiting for you."

Kurt began to stir when Sebastian started to talk. He stretched and snuggled in.

Sebastian ran his hand along Kurt's arm that was around his neck. "Babe, they're back."

"Mmm. M'kay. There's room for them. They need pajamas."

Marley chuckled. "You have to wake up to watch."

He stretched a bit more. "Snuggles. We're all snuggling. Chop chop. Pajamas."

"Sure thing, Mr. Bossy," she teased.

The two of them went to change.

Kurt stretched and scooted up just a bit. Sebastian turned his head a bit and met Kurt's offered lips. When the girls came back in, they were still kissing.

"Oh, my God, you're kissing!" Jillian exclaimed.

Kurt pulled back.

"You got the results finally?" Marley asked.

"We did."

"You've been kissing the whole time since Kurt came back from work, haven't you?" Jillian asked, teasingly.

"Not the entire time," Sebastian said, unable to suppress the grin and the gleam in his eyes.

"Well, good for you," Marley said. "You have to rearrange for all of us to snuggle and watch the movie."

"The Chex mix is in the big bowl on the counter. It has a lid on it," Kurt said. "Grab that first."

Marley grabbed the bowl while Jillian unfolded their snuggle blanket and Kurt and Sebastian rearranged.

"I finished the book before I left for work," Kurt said as he and Sebastian repositioned their snuggle blanket.

"Good," Jillian said. "I knew you didn't want to watch the movie until you had."

Kurt and Sebastian moved the ottoman into the corner, turned the blanket to face the TV and got back in with Sebastian in the corner. Kurt sat to his left. Marley handed him the bowl of Chex mix as she got into the other snuggle blanket and scooted into his side. After she put the DVD into the TV, Jillian brought the remote back with her, climbed in next to Marely, and snuggled close. Once she was snuggled up to Marley and they were comfortable, she started The Immortal Instruments.
