CandyLuv99; I honestly wasn't expecting a quick review but appreciate it none the less. Glad you like Sherise's cubs and there's more drama to come.

Here's another chapter, sixty-five.

Enjoy!

The sun shined brightly and bathed the Pridelands with a golden glow and everyone was into their daily routines for the day. Queen Kiara sat on the peak of priderock looking over the kingdom thinking about what has happened since the birth of her nephews, Zeus and Dimitri.

Her own twins were rambunctious, adventurous eight month old cubs. Always trying to out do the other.

Kiara's ears twitched at the sound of her sons in their daily competitive argument. She was concerned, this couldn't be healthy. Which make her think about what her half-sister/cousin, Eshani brought to her attention a few days after the twins was born.

"Aren't you worried about another Scar repeat?"

The gold lioness shook her head to knock those thoughts out. It was decided that both of the boys would rule, it wasn't a law that said there had to be one king.

Kiara stood and headed down priderock's promontory where she came across her sons in front of the main cave in another stand off.

"I'm faster than you!" yelled a eight month old dark gold cub with a black tuff on his head.

"How is that?! When you run as fast as a snail!" a dark beige cub with a dark brown tuff, yelled back.

"Take that back, Askari!"

Askari blew a raspberry before smirking, his brown eyes gleaming. "Make me, Hunty!"

Hunter growled before pouncing and that's when Kiara decided it was time to step in. Just as she saw her oldest son chop down on his brother's ear.

"Hunter, stop bitting your brother's ear this instance!"

The dark gold prince looked up with orange eyes shinning innocence. "I didn't do anything, mom."

Kiara who raised a eyebrow as she narrowed her amber eyes before growling lowly, not enough to scare her son but enough for him to stop the lying. "Do you want to spend the rest of the day with me and your Aunt Sherise and Aunt Eshani?"

Hunter paled and flatten his black rimmed ears against his head. "No mom."

Kiara nodded satisfied with her eldest answer. "Now you and your brother go run and play... nicely." the gold lioness made sure to stretch out nicely.

"Yes mom." Hunter and Askari replied at once before dashing off.

Kiara shook her head with a small smile before heading towards the waterhole where no doubt, her sisters were waiting.

...

A Few Weeks Later

Queen Kiara exited the small cave with a excited gleam in her amber eyes. A large smile spread across her muzzle, she was overjoyed to seeing Kion and Rani's daughter, Anastasia. And now she feels she's ready to make her big family...bigger.

The queen's attention went to the slope where she saw her tawny brother and mate climb up. They seem to be really into their conversation because they didn't notice her until she cleared her throat.

Kovu was surprised but smiled lovingly nonetheless. He walked over and embraced his mate. "What are you still doing here? I thought you were leading the evening hunt."

Kiara chuckled before standing. "I let Sherise take over. Now, follow me. I have something to show you."

Kovu frowned before looking over his shoulder at the tawny, dark brown mane lion who shrugged. With a deep breath the dark brown lion followed his mate down the slope of priderock and into the savannah.

The couple had walked through the Pridelands before stopping at the clearing with a hill over looking the field.

Kiara smiled before looking at Kovu. "Do you know what this place is?"

Kovu thought long and hard before shaking his head. "I have no idea. So what exactly was it that you want to show me?"

Kiara's amber eyes widen before she bared her teeth. "You got to be kidding me! Do you even know what today is?"

Kovu instantly shook his head and quickly regretted it. Because he got a hard hit across his face. "You act like today is a anniversary or someth..." the lion king stopped himself when he realized his mistake. "Oh dear, my love. I'm so sorry. It's been hetic keeping up with your father and grandfather's ways of ruling. But it needs to be done. I refuse to become like another Scar."

Kovu rubbed his head against Kiara's. "I didn't mean to hurt you. I'll do anything.."

Kiara seen and heard the truth in his eyes and words. She nuzzled into Kovu's darker brown mane before looking at him with a seductive smile. "Then you can make it up. I know where you can start,"

Kiara licked Kovu across the cheek before turning and summited into the mating position.

It was late at night when Kiara lifted her head from a peaceful slumber. She looked down at Kovu and couldn't help but smile at the bubbling feelings erupting.

A snap of a dead twig caused the gold lioness to stand in alert. Before she was tackled to hard ground.

King Kovu stood and went to attack the dark orange lion over his mate when a pale yellow lion pounced on him. His head hit the ground causing him to be dazed, he couldn't see clearly and was getting full blown hits.

A loud roar ripped through the air before a blur went pass and knocked the dark orange, orange mane lion off Kiara. When it cleared it turned out to be a very light cream lion with a black mane.

"Leave the lady alone!"

The dark orange lion snarled before knocking the teen off him. "I don't take orders likely, especially from a whelp like you."

The young lion was already dazed from his hit to the face and was quickly knocked down. The dark orange lion bit the young male's throat but before he could do any lasting damage he was blindsided by Jesús who had charged in with Kion, Kopa, Dae, Francisco and Joshua.

"Let's go. Our orders failed."

Kion and Kopa watched Francisco and Joshua chased the two lions off towards the direction of the Badlands while Jesús turned to Kiara and Kovu.

"Are you two alright?"

"Peachy." Kiara snapped before shaking her head. "I'm sorry. I need to rest and see my sons."

Jesús nodded and headed back to priderock with Kiara and Kovu in front of him. By now Francisco and Joshua returned, joined Kion as he followed one of heads of the royal guard and the rulers of the Pridelands.

Kopa looked from the group's retreating forms before looking at the dark beige lion that was also a good friend of his as well as a outstanding guard. "I assume you know who this is."

Dae moved his dark brown eyes to the bloody unconscious younger male. "Bastian. Keres and my sister's son,"

"Sir, any word the Bright Kingdom?"

Jadis looked over his shoulder to see a lion that was a bit older than Scar's last bastard son. Adrian, his strong and trusted warrior.

Before the tan lion could add to the conversation, his attention went to the hill that the creamy, light brown mane lion not too long ago climbed down where there was two lions he and Adrian knew very well. Thamani and Hades.

Jadis raised a dark red eye brow as he moved his focus on the apporching males. "Is the job complete?"

The dark orange, russet mane lion and the younger pale peach, brownish mane lion looked at one another before the pale yellow lion turned terrified pale blue eyes on the large tan lion.

"We failed, my liege. But we did manage to kill...Keres' son...I think.."

Jadis narrowed his brown eyes. "You think?" without warning he back hitted the young lion, sending Thamani sliding across the wet grass. "I don't keep you around for your thoughts!"

Adrian stepped between his leader and the down lion. "Hey, I think he gets it."

Before Adrian had time to react, Jadis struck him across his face. The larger male quickly pounced, pinning the creamy lion hard to the ground. His sharp claws digging dangerously into Adrian's neck.

"You'll know the next time to interfere," with a snarl, Jadis stepped back and pushed his mane back before walking away, leaving Adrian to catch his breath and rethink his choices.
