Hello all! I am giving you this mini-chapter containing much drama because the next chapter, chapter is being rather stubborn. What can I say? Some characters are harder to write than others and this is kind of an important one.
I scowled into the darkness as Haldamire continued to focus her entire story of her life here on Tar-Mairon. Fine, he might be better then the Mog since he doesn't like her the same way, but this is ridiculous. Has she forgotten all the pain and suffering inflicted upon us? He broke her damn arm. Ridiculous. He got her a puppy and that was apparently all it took. And her punishment is "rightful". I blew out an infuriated breath.
"what Airawende?" Haldamire demanded at my sudden exhale. She gasped in pain at the movement she made to speak so harshly.
"nothing, just lay back and rest" I sighed squinting for no reason. I knew it was already too dark to see anything at all, but I wanted to try again anyway. Useless.
"Its your fault you know" Haldamire whispered into the darkness.
"what is?" I sighed.
"This brand. He did it because he was mad at you!" Haldamire said venomously. I almost jumped in shock.
"my fault?!" I sputtered in outrage "I didn't make him do this!"
"No, but you kept being your usual self and antagonized him." She said in a coldly furious tone "I will be forever marked because of you! I will always remember the pain I felt. It's not only burned into my skin, but into my mind". I choked on my horror and could not make any words come out. I leaned into the wall as hard as I could shaking.
