Indigo League Part 2: Ash & Serena's Date

Tevinblair: Hello there everyone. It's been a long while since I've last been in the review section and I will gladly give everybody a explanation on why both Me and Morpho were gone for several weeks on this story and it's because we've gathering very useful information that would end up being incorporated into the overall series especially information that had to do with Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl, New Pokemon Snap which as of today is a couple of weeks away from releasing worldwide and Pokemon Legends Arceus plus there was a few things that needed to be added to the latest chapter here because it didn't feel really ready to be posted during that 3-week timeframe. The appearance of Mr Goodshow in this chapter, Bruno battling against the gang and Bruno having a Mega Steelix and using against Moltres which I'm betting that a lot of you weren't expecting to used in battle so soon was thought up by yours truly with help from Morpho of course with the second and third things. Now I'm sure wondering about why Ash vs Bruno ended up being a draw and the reason is because this is the first time that Ash and Moltres officially battled together and as everyone here has seen, Moltres hasn't gotten introduced or better yet used to Ash's battling style like how Pikachu, Charizard, Venusaur, Blastoise, Primeape, Pidgeot and many other Pokemon that Ash has in his corner throughout this story and later on in the overall series plus the same thing could be said for the Anime Series so if they (Ash and Moltres) had a bit more time for Moltres to train and Iearned some strategies that could be used with the Moves that he knows already, the battle would've been more likely in Ash's favor especially when you consider his unpredictability in battle and his outside of the box thinking. Of course this wouldn't have been easy to do seeing how Bruno is a Elite Four member and has a Mega Steelix which likely had a lot of intense training and battling experience over the years when he was serving as a Elite Four member for both Kanto and Johto respectively. Hello everyone, this is Tevin Jordan-Blair here and I've decided to add the review for chapter 65 below my previous review for chapter 64 because I was very busy at the time so everyone here gets 2 chapter reviews in one today. Now moving on to the newest chapter where we get the return of several familiar faces including AJ, Leaf, Gary and of course Mr and Mrs Fuji who tells the gang the reason behind Mewtwo's creation with the gang in turn tells the couple about the events that happened back in the Mewtwo Strikes Back Movie Chapter involving Mewtwo and Mew and now the gang has a new objective in the future: Find Mewtwo and give him Mr Fuji's journal/diary along with the Mewtwonite X to show him that his family is still alive which will serve as a major plot point in the Johto Story Arc. Now with this chapter being the start of the Indigo League AKA The Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament Arc, we're going to establish some things here like for starters the number of chapters in this Arc are going to be higher than the number of episodes that the anime series spent on the Indigo League so me and Morpho won't be making the same mistakes that the writers did back then including having Team Rocket interfering with Ash's next Indigo League AKA The Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament match and almost getting him disqualified, having Ash use his tired Pokemon (plus you know who) instead of the fresh ready to go members of his team during his match against Ritchie, the sleep rule that Morpho mentioned earlier which I myself glad isn't a thing in this League Arc and future ones throughout the series and of course we should remember this last one Charizard's disobedience costing Ash his entire match with Ritchie which is one of the main reasons why his personality was changed to his Alternate Timeline counterpart so that doesn't happen in this story like it was stated earlier in this story by Morpho. Another thing to note in this Arc is that some of the chapters are going to be a bit longer than others especially for the Indigo League AKA The Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament Matches so we don't end up cutting any important moments or Pokemon in the process because we want to give everyone the full experience of the Indigo League. Next, let's get to Ritchie who we haven't seen throughout this story and yes he will be one of Ash's opponents/rivals like in the anime series however he will have differences from his canon counterpart and expect his and Ash's Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament Match to be very different and much better than the anger inducing one we've gotten originally from the anime series. Finally, expect a surprise or two when we get to the start of the Indigo League AKA The Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament I promise that everyone will enjoy it soon enough. Now I like to ask everyone in the review section a question: Other than Ritchie, who do you think Ash will face in the Indigo League and why? It had been 6 days since the gang arrived at the Indigo Plateau. Ash & Serena had been training for the past 6 days & tomorrow is the day of the Indigo Plateau Conference Tournament.

"Hey, Serena, do you have any plans for tonight?" Ash asked

"Not that I know of, Why?" Serena asked

"Well, we've known each other since we were little & we've been traveling & training together for almost a year & I was wondering if we could like…y'know…" Ash said nervously

"Are you asking me out on a date?" Serena said

"Um…yeah, that's what I was gonna ask you." Ash blushed

"I'd love to go on a date with you." Serena smiled

"Really? That's great." Ash said in relief

"So, what are we gonna do on our date?" Serena asked

"I was thinking maybe we could go on a picnic & watch the stars." Ash said "There's gonna be fireworks from the Preopening Night Ceremony of the Indigo Plateau Conference."

"That sounds like a fantastic idea." Serena said before whispering in Ash's ear "& we should definitely take Pikachu & Eevee with us."

"Oh yeah, why's that?" Ash whispered back

"Cause I think they have a thing with each other." Serena said

"Now, that you mentioned it, they do seem to be very close." Ash said looking at Pikachu & Eevee who were playing with each other

"Right, so can we take them with us?" Serena asked

"Absolutely." Ash said

That evening Ash went to the hotel Serena was staying at, he was wearing a light blue desk-to-dinner shirt, black dress pants, & black dress shoes, & he was holding a rose. Pikachu was wearing a navy blue bow tie with thin yellow stripes & he was holding a small bouquet. They went up to her room & Ash knocked the door. When Serena opened the door, she was wearing a red date night dress & red high heels, she was also wearing light pink lipstick, a little blush on her cheeks, & a little mascara. Eevee had small pink flowers around her right ear.

"Hey Serena, you look beautiful." Ash complimented

"Thank you, & you look very handsome this evening, Ash." Serena said

"Thanks." Ash said

"Pika Pika." Pikachu said as he gave Eevee the small bouquet

"Eevee." Eevee smiled

They went to the lobby & saw Brock

"Hey Brock, thank you for coming to watch over Meowth & Togepi." Ash said

"No problem, you two." Brock said as Serena gave Togepi to Brock & Meowth climbed up on his shoulder

"You be good while mommy's away." Serena said as she booped Togepi

"Toge Toge." Togepi cooed

"Have fun you guys." Meowth said as Ash, Serena, Pikachu & Eevee left

When they got to the spot where they were having their picnic.

"You know, Ash." Serena said "I kind of feel bad."

"About what?" Ash asked as he set the picnic blanket on the grass

"About Meowth & Togepi, I mean, I wish we could've taken them with us." Serena said "But Meowth doesn't have a date."

"That's true, since Meowth got over Meowzie." Ash said "But I'm sure Meowth will find someone one day."

"I hope you're right, & I hope Togepi will be fine with Brock." Serena said

"Don't worry, Brock is a great babysitter." Ash said "Remember, he babysat his younger siblings while his parents were away."

"Oh yeah, that's right." Serena said

After they ate, they began looking up at the stars.

"It's a beautiful night, tonight." Serena said

"Yeah." Ash agreed "I was told that if you connect up the stars, you can see the image of a Pokémon."

"Really?" Serena said curiously

"Of course, can you tell me which Pokémon you see over there." Ash said pointing at the night sky

"Hm…hey, that looks like a Jigglypuff." Serena said

"Right." Ash said

"Tomorrow's the day of the tournament, Ash." Serena said "Are you nervous?"

"Pretty much, I'm hoping to win, but I'm not sure how far I'll get." Ash said

"I believe you will win." Serena said.

"You really mean that?" Ash said

"Of course, you just have to keep believing in yourself & your Pokémon. If you believed you would win those badges, then you will no doubt win the tournament. No matter what place you'll end up in the tournament, me, Brock, your brothers, your parents, & your friends will always be proud of you" Serena said

"…Thank you, Serena." Ash smiled "I'm glad I met you."

"No, I'm the one who's glad to have met you." Serena said "You inspired people & Pokémon to be the best they can be including me. You're smart, kind, brave, creative, & very helpful."

"Yeah." Ash said "Serena, what is your dream?"

"Well, I don't really know what my dream is yet." Serena said

"I'm sure you'll find out what your dream is someday, trust me." Ash assured

"You know, that incident with Mewtwo was some experience." Serena said "It was very scary & dangerous at the same time."

"Yeah, not to mention I risked my life & came back & prevented Mewtwo from ending humanity." Ash said "Somehow I get the feeling that's not the only trouble we're gonna run into."

"You really think so?" Serena asked

"…Sort of." Ash said "Anyway, I'm glad you're traveling with me, Serena."

"Me too, you remember the promise we made?" Serena asked

Flashback

A six-year old Serena & her mother were getting ready to leave.

"Are you sure you have to go back to Kalos?" A six-year old Ash asked

"Yeah, but I'm sure we'll see each other again." Serena said

"Ok, maybe we can travel together when I become a Pokémon Trainer." Ash said

"Sure, it's a promise." Serena said as she held out her pinky

"Promise." Ash said as he wrapped his pinky around hers

Flashback

"Yeah, I remember that day." Ash said "But I certainly wasn't expecting you to come all the way here to Kanto, not that I minded it."

"I didn't mind it either." Serena said

Just then the fireworks started & Ash, Serena, Pikachu, & Eevee stared in awe & amazement. Meanwhile in different locations, Brock, Meowth, Togepi, Gary, Leaf, Mr. Goodshow, A.J., his Sandslash, Keith, his Farfetch'd, Corey, Neesha, & Fergus were also enjoying the fireworks. After the fireworks, Ash & Serena went back to the hotel she was staying at.

"Thanks for watching over Togepi, Brock." Serena said gratefully

"No problem, she was really well-behaved along with Meowth." Brock said "I have to go now, I'll see you tomorrow."

"Okay." Ash said as Brock left

"I really had a great time, Ash." Serena said

"Me too, I'm glad you enjoyed it." Ash said

"I hope you sleep well." Serena said

"You too, I'll see you in the morning." Ash said

"Pikachu." Pikachu said

"Eevee." Eevee said as she & Pikachu nuzzled each other

"Goodnight." Serena said "& Ash?"

"Yeah?" Ash said

Serena leaned up & kissed Ash's cheek.

"Thank you." Serena smiled as she went into her room & closed the door

Ash stared for a minute & smiled, then he went back to the hotel he was staying at & went to his room getting ready for the tournament tomorrow
