Hello. all, it's me, Michael, here! Since I last updated this thread, Harry Potter and the Yellow Quartet has surpassed 90000 views! (In fact, it's actually over 91000 now.) Thank you to the men, women, boys, and girls who have stuck with me and the Yellow Quartet this far! Much love from Arizona! :)

On Sunday, May 3rd, 1992, Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, Amelia, and Heather were all sitting together at the dining room table at 2 P.M. just causally enjoying each other's company when Heather spoke up.

"There's something that's been on my mind a lot lately, " said Heather seriously.

"What's that, " asked Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, and Amelia together.

"Well, " said Heather in a crystal clear voice, "The Yellow Quartet is the Yellow Quartet, and the four adults here may think of ourselves as a quartet of our own, but let's call a spade a spade here, the eight of us together have become an octet. We are all very strongly bonded with each other. "

"I'm very grateful for that, " piped up Amelia, "I had felt so sad and lonely living alone for those first few months after Susan left Bones Manor. The bond we've all formed here has been really healthy for me. And many thanks to Sirius for having the idea to bring me to live here."

"As you've been my BFF since we were schoolgirls at Hogwarts, I should have made you that offer myself, months before Sirius had even come here, " said Heather ruefully.

"Heather, it's okay, " said Amelia in understanding, " I know how much you had on your plate at that time. If anything, I should have reached out to you myself, explained that I was getting depressed living alone, and asked you if you would let me live here for a while. I would've known for a fact that you would have said yes."

"I have similar feelings to those of Amelia, " declared Remus a nanosecond later, "I've lived alone most of my adult life. The happiness I've felt since I've been here has been the difference between night and day compared to those dreary years of living alone. The resurrection of my friendship with Sirius has been particularly uplifting for me."

"Just as uplifting for me, old friend, " exclaimed Sirius, "The truth is that the eight of us have all in fact become a family."

"My thoughts exactly, " said Heather matter of factly, "The eight of us are a family now. I admit I was reluctant to allow Remus to come here at first."

"It's all good, Heather, " Remus assured Heather, "You are a very wise woman to keep your guard up and not grant access to Abbott Manor indiscriminately. Being slow and careful about these decisions is the way to go. Good on Sirius and Amelia to vouch for me though."

"Anyway, " continued Heather in a hopeful voice, "I have an idea. Since the eight of us are clearly family now, I would like to propose the idea that, after Skyward School of Practical Sorcery opens, that the eight of us all continue to live here at Abbott Manor over the summers and holiday breaks."

Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, Amelia, and Heather all just smiled at each other.

"Scream the word FAMILY at the top of your lungs if you agree to the proposal that the eight of us will all continue to live together as a family at Abbott Manor at times when Skyward School of Practical Sorcery is not in session, " instructed Heather.

Next nanosecond, Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, Amelia, and Heather all screamed the word "FAMILY" at the maximum decibel level that their voices would permit.

"It's a done deal!" said Heather happily, " As Abbott Manor is more than large enough to accommodate all eight of us comfortably and as we've all formed forever bonds with each other, why shouldn't we live together as a family?"

"Fuck bloodlines and fuck family trees!" said Harry fiercely, "The eight of us are all family because of how much we all love each other and care for each other!"

"You're absolutely right there, Harry, " said Sirius seriously, "Affection, not relations, are what truly define family."

"By the way, " said Amelia clearly, "Sirius, I'm still going to have you legally adopt Harry and Amy when the time comes. It's still important that they have their own clear legal guardian."

"It will still mean the world to me to have my godson and my favorite albino girl officially and legally become my wards even if we all continue to live here, " said Sirius happily.

"It will still mean just as much to us, " added Amy, "And I know that in certain circumstances, having a legal guardian is very important."

"And who better for us to trust with those responsibilities than Sirius, " declared Harry brightly.

Sirius smiled at Harry and Amy.

Sirius then transformed into a dog and allowed Harry and Amy to pet him before resuming his human form.

"That felt good!" said Sirius joyfully.

"Not good, brilliant!" piped up Harry and Amy together.

"I'm really grateful for the changes in plans, " said Remus sincerely, "Under the previous arrangements, I would have gotten a place of my own and lived alone starting next summer. I'm truly appreciative not to have to go back to living alone. And, Heather, thank you for the care you've put into my arrangements. I know you've spent a lot of your own money on Wolfsbane Potion."

"No problem, Remus, " said Heather brightly, "The Abbotts are very wealthy. No reason not to spend some of that money on taking care of my friends if they need it."

"As for me, " said Harry genuinely, "I'm ecstatic to know that the Yellow Quartet will be together every day whether we're at school or at home."

"I couldn't agree more, " said Susan glowingly, "I'm so glad we'll all stay at the same place whether it be at school or here."

"I'm overjoyed at this change in plans, " said Amy radiantly.

"The truth is, " said Hannah proudly, "All eight of us will be much happier because of this change in plans and mom knew that."

"Should I sell Bones Manor then?" Amelia asked Heather.

"I'd advise against that, " said Heather in a businesslike voice, "I say you should keep ownership of Bones Manor because that way if anything were to happen to Abbott Manor, we'd have somewhere else to go already waiting for us. Bones Manor could also serve as a place we could go if we needed to evacuate Abbott Manor or clear out of here for a specific period of time for whatever reason."

"Wise words from a wise woman, " said Remus respectfully, "No one will ever catch Heather Abbott off guard."

This family is special!" said Harry emotionally.

And with that, Harry, Amy, Susan, Hannah, Sirius, Remus, Amelia, and Heather all screamed FAMILY at maximum volume for a second time.
