Day 2 - 8:00 PM
Night fell around them. They had stayed within each other's arms as the sun set, taking every bit of pleasure they could before they had to put it all behind them. She lost count of the amount of times he had taken her to the moon and back.
The sun had set a while ago, yet still they stayed, embracing their desires. Her head laid on his chest, listening to his slow steady heartbeat. He held her close, an arm around her waist. Neither one wanted to be the one to make the move that would end this all.
The hoot of an owl broke through their silence and they looked at one another.
She could see her own emotions mirrored into his eyes. She wanted more, though she knew she shouldn't. She knew that this was Inuyasha's brother, that the perceived betrayal would hurt him. She knew that she did not know the demon lying beneath her anymore than he knew her. This was an arrangement of convenience, and it just wasn't going to be convenient for them anymore. Still, if only there was a way.
She shook her head, trying to get rid of the hope that would only fizzle out and die.
"Kagome." Sesshoumaru broke the silence. "It is time to go." His arm squeezed her closer to him.
"I know." She sighed and gathered herself before pushing up from him. Locating her clothes she dressed as he watched her. She was just starting to tug on her shoes when he rose as well to get dressed.
Once they were both finished they walked out of the cave, hand in hand and he picked her up. This time though, she did not struggle. She went with him willingly as he took to the skies and headed East.
"Do you need to bathe before we reach the village." He asked. It was clear what he was thinking. Sesshoumaru's scent would be all over her, if she was headed to Inuyasha's, she may have taken him up on that offer, but it was not necessary.
"No. I will be going home, I can shower there." She replied.
"Where is home?" He asked.
