It was nearly midnight when the phone rang, sending Holly scrambling off the fire escape and into her apartment. Worried, she picked up the receiver. It was sure

to be bad news. But then she heard his voice:

"Holly, It's Paul. I 'm sorry to call so late but I just wanted to tell you that I love you."

Her heart melted. "I love you, too."
