Note: Alright, here's one of Yamagata's requests. This story is a parody of one of the most popular superheroes of all time, so sit back, relax, and enjoy!
Chapter 68: Super-Marcus
Look up in the sky!
It's a bird!
It's a plane!
It's ... Super-Marcus!
Faster than a speeding laser bullet!
Stronger than an Arwing and a Wolfen combined!
Super-Marcus: Corneria's Mightiest Hero!
A small blue fox was walking through Corneria City while holding a burlap sack over his shoulder. The sack was full of newspapers, with the tod throwing one that he grabbed out of the bag for every few steps. While walking through the city, the boy met up with a red and blue pheasant.
"Hi Falco." The fox greeted.
"How's it hanging, Marcus?" Falco, the pheasant, asked.
"I'm good, and you?" Marcus asked.
"I'm doing fine myself." The avian stated. "However, I admit, it's kinda boring around here now that there aren't a lot of threats to the galaxy."
"I'm sure that there will be another threat to the galaxy." The vulpine said. "Besides, the General would notify you if there was trouble."
All of a sudden, Marcus' ears picked up a noise. It sounded like someone screaming for help.
"And speaking of trouble, I have to go!" Marcus said as he ran off.
"Where are you going, kiddo?!" Falco asked.
"To go get help!" The tod said. He went into an alleyway, making sure that no one saw him. He then pulled off his clothes, revealing a blue, black, and silver jumpsuit underneath. Taking position, the boy flew up into the air and started to fly in the direction of the screaming. Moving closer to the sound, Marcus saw a young doe tied to a chair and surrounded by gangsters. He recognized this doe as one of his closest friends, Francine Hare.
"Help me!" Francine screamed.
"Quite a screamer, isn't she?" One of the gangsters joked.
"She won't be screaming once we get those shoes on her." Another gangster said.
"And you won't be putting them on her!" Marcus shouted as he flew down to the ground.
"Oh no, it's Super-Marcus!" One of the gangsters cried.
"That's right," Marcus said as he cracked his knuckles, "and I'm here to defeat you and save my friend!"
"Try us, punk!" Another gangster screamed.
The gangsters fired their weapons at Marcus, but the blue fox shrugged off the attack. He grabbed one of the gangsters and threw him to the side. Another gangster came his way, but the boy punched him in the gut. Before the other gangsters knew it, Marcus took them down and tied them up with a divider he bent around them. After that, he went over and untied Francine.
"Are you okay?" Marcus asked.
"Yeah," Francine said, "thanks for saving me."
"You're welcome, let's get you home." The blue fox said as he lifted her into his arms, flying off. He took her back to her house, helping her to her feet.
"Well, my parents might be mad at me when they hear about what happened." Francine said.
"Don't worry, they won't be mad." Marcus said.
"I hope that you're right about that, buddy." The doe said before she walked into her house. Once she was out of sight, Marcus let out a sigh of relief. However, his relief would be cut short when he heard the citizens of Corneria City screaming. Looking up, the blue fox saw that there was a meteor falling down towards the planet. Taking flight, he decided to go stop the meteor before it destroyed everything.
"Look up there, it's Super-Marcus!" One of the citizens shouted.
"He's gonna save us from that meteor!" Another citizen cheered.
Flying out to space, Marcus came face-to-face with the meteor. With no time to spare, he grabbed the smoldering space rock and threw it into Solar. The meteor was destroyed by the star's hot rays and lava-covered surface. After that, Marcus flew back down to Corneria City, where he was greeted by a cheering crowd. In front of the crowd was the mayor, who was holding a key.
"Super-Marcus," the mayor said, "I don't do this very often, but here's the key to the city!"
"Thank you." Marcus said as he took the key and spoke to the crowd. "Thank you all, I'm glad to be your hero! Now, seeing as there are no threats present at the moment, I'm going to head home!"
Marcus flew off, with the crowd cheering as he did so.
Later that night, Marcus was fast-asleep in his bed. While he was asleep, his parents, Fox and Krystal, took a look to see if he was okay. The two smiled, looking at each other.
"There's our little hero." Fox said.
"Yeah, I hope that he realizes that everyone knows that he's Super-Marcus." Krystal said.
"They all know that he's the new hero on Corneria." The orange tod said. "After all, his identity would remain hidden if he wore a costume that disguised his entire body."
"Let's just let him do his thing." The cobalt vixen said. "Besides, he's just a kid."
The two kissed before walking away from Marcus' room, leaving the young superhero to resume his slumber. From that point on, Marcus would continue to be Corneria's defender. The blue fox was fine with that, considering how he had superpowers that assisted him in battle. However, he also had martial arts to back him up, as he couldn't always use his powers. Nonetheless, Marcus would always be Super-Marcus: Corneria's Mightiest Hero!
Note: I apologize if this was a little disappointing, I couldn't think of a parody of a SuperMan villain to add. Also, I gave Marcus his own version of the Man of Steel's costume, seeing as he would probably have his own version of it. I hope that you like this, Yamagata. What did you guys think about this chapter? Let me know when you leave a review or give a constructive criticism stating what you like and what you don't like. Until next time guys, this is Newcomer24, signing off. Peace!
