Chapter 68: A blessed wedding.
Tyson's wedding went smooth. Not many guests were invited. They just included Julia, Raul, Fred, and Zane from Ashlene's side and Hilary, Gramps from Tyson's side. All his teammates except Ray were also invited and they all had come. Especially after Kai and Rose got Daichi, Max and Kenny for shopping, entailing then to buy navy blue tuxedos and getting them clad suavely. Rose choose a simply scarlet red party gown.
Other guests were from Black Chasm, Light Shards, The Saint Shields and Robot Genetics. Tyson called Kenny though and the boy was overjoyed and said he WOULD be able to attend.
The Couple dressed perfectly like how they did the shopping and the basic rituals were over within few minutes in the Church.
Tonight we're gonna drown the sky
Raise your glasses one last time
When we're down from this high
You won't find me by your side
Tonight we're gonna drown the sky
Drown it in the blood-red wine
When we're down from this high
You won't find me by your side
So let's drown the sky tonight
"Ashlene Reynolds, do you accept Tyson Granger as your husband, life partner and promise to abide by your duties and contribute in striving a peaceful life?" The priest asked,
"Yeah, I do," Ashlene smiled, looking gleefully at Tyson who was dressed handsomely in his tuxedo.
"Tyson Granger, do you accept Ashlene Reynolds as your wife, life partner and promise to abide by your duties, protect her, keep her safe and contribute to peace of your lives?"
"Yeah, of course, why not," Tyson was exuberantly happy.
We're stronger
Together
I just wanna say
I think we're perfect and we deserve it We're stronger
Together
The most awaited part was the night party and the stunning couple dances with all types of their all-time-favorite songs. The chosen banquet hall was sumptuous; attached to the another ball hall. The ball hall was drafty palatial, thus cool and serene, and was large enough than the people invited, all thanks to Tyson for spending unrestrained despite Ash's pleas not to spend too much. The banquet consisted of rounds of dinners going on ever since the party started. The lights were closed, and the only source of vision were the cyc, flash lights and fresnel spotlights. The golden colored staging in the ball hall consisted of two royal cathedral-like placements for seating of bride and groom and plump couches, plush teal colored settee and spring green chesterfield couches to add on sides of groom and bride. The background consisted of red roses in floral patterns within the coffered wall and candles lit in middle coffers to sparkle glaze them. Presents were placed behind the cathedral seating, piled one upon the another.
The air filled with agog of excitement and exuberance.
The invitees flowed from banquet to ball hall after devouring to dance. Majorly, people met the bride and groom on the stage, congratulating them, the light music flowing in the air. Couches also were placed in groups circularly on the dance hall's floor near the panel walls.
Done with formal meetings, Tyson and Ashlene landed in the expanse of the ball-hall amongst the various invites, couples and others relishing the songs that have started.
Tyson and Ashlene spend quality time in dim light dances and gorged hungrily upon the dinner! They seemed contended and like everything were achieved.
Ellie was there too and she was just sighting and enjoying, seated with Grandpa Granger in one secluded couch. She was tired after meeting all the new uncles she had seen and was now finely seated seeing that all the elders were involved in themselves, she was getting bored and monotonous. She was excited at the amount of attention she received for being Tyson's daughter and every guest seeing her gave this one comment without miss, 'Wow, you are Ellie Granger? Tyson's daughter? Beautiful! No doubts your hair are just like him.' They patted her and smiled and soon they disappeared and got engrossed with her parents. Among some of the guests, Ellie spotted William and they wasted no time in creating a comical fight. Raul stopped Ashlene from indulging and Tyson was hysterically shocked. Damn, my daughter has got a male frenemy so soon.
Raul and Hilary took care of the two hot headed parties and separated them. Ellie finally went back to Grandpa. "Don't sweat it, kid. That brat is gone," Grandpa glared at William and the guy whooshed away. Ellie scowled at William. She was waiting for Lily who seems to be taking too long to arrive.
Raul was with Zane, enjoying a light hearted simple dance. Julia was finely sitting in one corner accompanied by Tala, after the duo congratulated Tyson and Ashlene.
Hilary danced a little with Ryan after the dinner. Hilary remembered the last time when they'd a dance together and it was few years back at their Fresher's party when they'd become somewhat familiar. Feeling in his arms still felt so right even after so many years and even when those arms struggled to hold her. She couldn't meet his eyes in this close proximity though she swore he had his domineering eyes upon her even in this fragility.
"Hilary…" he asked softly,
"Hmm?" She mumbled, very well aware of this talk,
"Still hate coffees in morning?" he asked,
"Yeah," she replied like it was supposed to be.
"Hilary…"
"Hmm…"
"Coke or Pepsi?"
"Coke,"
"Hilary…"
"Hmm…" she loved hearing him call her name,
"Are summers better than winter?"
"Yeah," she nodded, looking briefly at him,
"Hilary…"
"Hm…"
"Is The fault in our Stars still your favorite?"
"Yeah," Hilary nodded,
"Hilary… can we demarcate bonding and relationship…"
"No…"
That's it. She knew this was the end of this conversation. She sighed jadedly and looked at him with some sort of hidden meaning. They thudded on a couch beside Grandpa's and Hilary introduced Ryan to Grandpa.
Gramps' joys were unbounded and unprotected. His dream, his only wish coming true- watching his beloved grandson getting married finally with the perfect girl.
Ryan greeted Grandpa and bowed a little. Hilary smiled at Grandpa. Grandpa could clearly see Hilary's expressions which were different and mixed with some sort of pride and joys when she was with Ryan.
"How are you, R-Man!" Grandpa asked cheerfully, Ryan grinned, amused at the sense of humor of Hilary's apparent Grandpa,
"I'm Great," Ryan said confidently, "I've heard a lot of you from her. I'm glad to meet you, Sir,"
"Nah, call me Grandpa, everyone does," Ryu winked,
"Grandpa," Ryan nodded agreeably.
"Uncle Ryan?" Ellie asked, her eyes curious,
"Hey Ellie." Ryan smiled cutely at her, "God, you're just like Tyson, see her, Hils!" Ryan was amazed. Ellie chuckled nervously.
"Of course, she's Tyson's daughter, Ryan." Hilary scoffed.
"That's given, kid. When you and home girl will have kids, you will see it too," Grandpa patted at Ryan's back cheerily.
Ryan's and Hilary's eyes widened in shock. Hilary blushed deeply and gulped subconsciously.
"If that happens, and I get a cute cousin, I would love to see her," Ellie mused dreamily,
Ryan blinked unbelievably at Ellie, "I-Is Tyson like that?" he whispered instinctively.
"No, but Ellie is his superseded version," Hilary said snidely.
"Aunt Hils, I'm bored," Ellie groveled on the couch and reached Hilary's lap. Hilary got the little girl comfortable on her lap and caressed her head.
There was silence and Grandpa has lucidly noticed how his words embarrassed and flustered Ryan and Hilary. Ryan and Hilary talked with Ellie, trying to cheer her up. A few minutes later, seeing that the newlywed couple has been surrounded with guests, Ryan and Hillary got up and thought to join them and have a quality talk on this eventful night. Grandpa appeased Ellie and she was left alone and sulked again.
…
Soon, everyone moved on their ways wishing lucks and wishes to the new couple; and Ryan took a chance to give a proper thanks to Tyson for his help.
"Uh, Ash," Tyson called her, "This is Ryan…" Tyson showed as Ryan came towards. Ryan met Ashlene for the first time and they greeted formally each other.
"Oh, Hi. How are you? I hope you're fine with your health?" Ashlene asked,
"Hey. Congratulations!" Ryan smiled warmly, "Yeah, I'm better,"
"Good to know. You can come anytime at our home. You're always welcome,"
"Thanks, Ashlene." Ryan nodded, "And Tyson, thanks for the support buddy,"
"It's a pleasure dude, trust me." Tyson hugged him warmly. "Stay strong. You've Hils by your side."
Ryan nodded. Hilary smiled. "Hilary, won't you congratulate your friend?" Ryan teased,
"I was the first one to say that," Hilary giggled and smiled eventually.
"A huge congratulation to you, Champ," Rose smiled,
"Thanks. Hey, I'm not anymore the Champ anymore. Its-"
"For me, and for the entire world, at least almost, you ARE the champion. Right, Ashlene?" Rose said delightfully. Kai agreed, patting her gently on back.
"Y-Yeah. He knows it. He's just pretending," Ashlene said prettily. "But still its Kai," Ash gave a grin to Kai. The ex-captain almost smirked.
"You want us to battle anytime? We are always ready?" Tyson amiably snaked his arm around Kai and looked at Rose. Ashlene was amused.
"The whole world wants to see you two battle, why not?" The bride said and Rose bobbed her head eagerly.
"I'd love to see you two battle, and war whoop the entire stadium," Rose said with a small grin.
"You two battle all the time, why not have a battle of Kai VS Rose?" Raul asked,
"That sounds interesting," Zane chirped, looking at Rose who sweatdropped,
"Sounds interesting," Ashlene and Raul cooed.
"We battled once actually," Rose said smiling little nervously,
"Wow!" Hilary looked at Kai, "When did that happened, Kai?" Hilary nudged him. Ryan coughed and patted on her head.
"Actually I suggest the girls should have some battles," Ryan smirked, effectively teasing his girlfriend.
"What does that imply!" Hilary glared at him. Ryan smirked. She blushed a tad. 'Damn, that smirk,'
"That sounds awesome, Ryan!" Ashlene piped in,
"Rose VS Ashlene!" Zeo sang, standing between the girls, ready to start the commentary.
"Woah! Hold on," Kai and Tyson moved back.
"I can assure Rose will beat you Ash," Tyson whispered in bride's ear.
Ashlene raised an eyebrows at him, "You cant even beat me, dear husband." Ashlene droned,
Kai coughed and Rose giggled softly.
"Now, that's called love," Emma nudged Tyson. Tyson flustered and gawked at Ashlene who sided and stood beside Rose.
"I won't let you beat me, Ash," Rose said carefully with a smirk.
"She won't!" Hilary hugged Rose briefly, winking at Ashlene.
"We will see that," Raul shot back playfully countering Hilary and Rose, taking Ash's side.
"Tyson, you just continue standing dead," Ash pinched Tyson's wrist and he flinched back. The crowd laughed,
"Tyson, your wife is an angel. Take care," Emma seemed to dote on.
Rose and Ash exchanged challenging looks while Kai and Tyson sweatdropped at their girlfriends' antics.
"Hilary, you back off. Thank god you don't know blading," Ryan slid his arm round Hilary's slender waist and easily pulled her back from Rose. Hilary rolled her eyes at Ryan. Hilary rolled her eyes.
"By the way, when are you two planning to invite us?" Hilary said to Kai, folding her arms grumpily mimicking him.
"Who? For what?" Rose blinked,
"For your wedding, doofus," Ashlene and Hilary squealed at Kai and Rose,
Tyson flinched back and grinned, "Oh dear Captain, how did I forget that!" Tyson winked at Kai. Rose heavily blushed,
Kai covered her and moved a step ahead, "Stop that guys," Ryan said sympathizing Kai.
"We are just friends for God's sake," Kai said pretending to be addled.
"This semblance won't work," Ashlene laughed,
"Propose her already!" Julia and Tala squealed. Tala who was quiet for long also added. Kai raised a brow at Tala,
"What about you?" Kai smirked happily at Tala,
"What about him?" Julia asked, blinking.
Tyson was slightly bemused and Ashlene as usual was clueless,
"What are they saying and implying?" Ashlene whispered to Tyson,
"Absolutely nothing," Emma grinned, Tyson smirked at Emma.
"Nothing, ask him, Julia." Kai said folding his hands. Zane stared at Julia while Raul nudged her sister,
"Ahmn, brother in law," Raul whispered to Tala who blushed beet. "Thanks for becoming my brother lawfully," Raul tittered amusingly while Tala's face was horrifically blanched,
"Uh, what's wrong, Tala?" Julia turned and looked at him,
"You don't have to worry about him, sis. He's okay," Raul winked and Zane surreptitiously giggled.
"By the way Rose, you know what," Hilary ruffled her hair, "Kai considers you as a red rose of his thorn life." She said impishly and Ryan felt embarrassed at her antics. Here he was, so decent and quiet and Hilary was a waggish bomb sometimes.
Kai slightly had a tinge of pink at Hilary's comment but he shook, "Ryan is lucky to endure your antics," Ashlene laughed.
"But a red Rose decorating on a hard green thorn is so beautiful," Tyson said, devilishly moving his brows.
Kai narrowed his eyes,
"Well..." Rose sighed. Emma hitched at what she was gonna say.
"Say it, Roseflower!"Zeo squealed.
"She's only Kai's flower, keep it low," Tala leered at Zeo.
"Umm, well...I like Kai," she smiled at everyone, a little fidgeting and wiggling her toes. She just wanted to see everyone's and Kai's reaction too.
Kai looked at her heartily astonished, "Hn." He grunted instinctively. Everyone took his prominent 'Hn' as 'I love you too,'
Tyson, Hilary, Ashlene and Julia whistled blowing at Kai and at Rose,
"What a confession that was!" Julia heartily hugged Rose, Hilary hugged Rose from behind. Tyson was surprised and staring with dazzling eyes at the trio of girls. Ashlene stole the moment with placing a secret kiss on Tyson's head. He slightly wriggled, wondering how she did. She quickly moved her gaze else where, leaving her husband befuddled for a second.
"The heels," he mumbled astonishingly to himself.
Ashlene pouted but ignored.
"Oh Tyson!" Max came running to him in navy blue tuxedo, looking absolutely adorable. Kenny and Daichi followed. The trio was breathlessly panting, worked up.
"Where were you, Maxie!" Ashlene and Hilary crushed him in a vivacious hug and he almost choked. The girls coughed,
"They were having endless rounds of eating competition!" Kenny said frustrated,
"With Daichi?" Kai asked, shocked,
"Seriously!" Tyson was puzzled.
"Ah yes Tyson! Why can't we!" Daichi asked, his stomach round as watermelon.
"You and I used to have and binge on food! Now you only binge on Ash!" Daichi grinned. Ashlene flushed and gasped!
"You twerp!" Ashlene shouted,
"Of course Daichi, she's my wife now. Nothing wrong with me binging on her!" Tyson hugged Ashlene from back, cutely placing his chin on her shoulder and throwing his tongue at him and then winking.
Daichi rolled his eyes.
Everyone busted out, "Awww!"
"Made for each other!" Rose chirped,
"Tyson and Ashlene!" Hilary squealed and Ryan shook at her flamboyant voice.
"Tyson leave!" Ashlene was panicked-blushed. Tyson left and gave a brawny wink to her. She pouted at him.
"Well, didn't I told ya Tyson that day that you ARE interested in Ashlene the first day we met her at hospital!" Max said naughtily.
Tyson narrowed his eyes at him, "I told him even if he wants to know your name, Ash. He was so helplessly infatuated with you!" Max squealed and Ashlene's eyes widened and she gawked at Tyson,
"He's lying!" Tyson shouted, everyone bursted laughing.
"Oh dear husband, I'm so sorry for keeping you restless and deprived those days!" Ashlene said flamboyantly and had a big grin on her smile. Tyson sweatdropped glaring at Max,
"Now, how much you've eaten, or may I say, drunk, Maxie?" Tyson shot in disdain. Max remarked,
"Dranks six vodka! Didn't we, Maxie!" Mariam tethered towards them and slightly slipped. Max and Ozuma supported her. She was clearly tipsy.
"Six glasses?" Hilary gnawed her lip and Ashlene was grinning ear to ear.
"Oh Zane!" Ashlene hugged her, "How can I forget how much we used to drink and get lost in the world of ecstasy!" Ashlene said dreamily. Tyson almost thought she was tipsy.
"And Maxie, congrats, hic!" Mariam pinched Max's cheeks with a flow and showed her teeth.
"Congrats for what?" Tyson asked half amused half nervous,
"Well..." Ozuma rubbed his head, "Max defeated Daichi in eating competition within four rounds," Ozuma said looking at Daichi and Max who created havoc and disaster at dining table at banquet. Kenny gave a disregarding look to Max.
"Max..." Tyson's eyes widened, "Y-You defeated Daichi?" He asked incredulously.
"Yes he did! So what! But Tyson you can't defeat me!" Daichi said tersely, banging his stomach with fists.
"Cool drum," Zane giggled. Raul simpered at her comment.
"Dear Daichi, there seems to be another round of competition." Raul said closing his eyes and saying with amusement.
"Well, Tyson, go on!" Hilary nudged him and Ashlene chuckled.
"He? He and defeat Daichi?" Ashlene simpered, "No, he already ate too much."
"Hic!" Mariam was half sleeping on Max's shoulder, her figure loosely and dizzily standing, and Ozuma was supporting her.
"Mari, you okay?" Max asked but she gave a low snore. Hilary smirked.
"When did Max kiss Emily!" Hilary impishly yelled in Mariam's ears. Kai and Rose almost controlled their laughter. Kai's lips almost twisted comically.
"What!" Mariam's bleary eyes shot open and she cupped Max's face tightly. Ozuma was super embarrassed. He slapped his face and looked at his teammate,
"How dare you do that to Emily!" She snarled and pouted angrily, "Don't you know Emily and Michael are already dating!" Her voice was dangerous and petulant.
"God! Someone stop her," Rose said shakily.
Max hugged Mariam to curtail her gibberish talks. And everyone were drop dead silent staring at the live romance in front of them. Ashlene almost clung to Tyson in amusement and surprise.
"This is cliche," Julia remarked flippantly.
"This is sexy!" Ashlene whispered in Tyson's ears. A tinge covered his ears and he looked at her nervously.
"Wifey, we have a reserved room, reserved bed and reserved night for us. Patience?" Tyson said sarcastically. Ashlene bobbed with a grin, cheerfully.
Mariam almost dosed into another sleep, her arms clung round Max's torso tenderly. She was wearing a dark blue knee lengthed frock with short fanned sleeves. Max gulped but he knew he had to be braver. And those arms, why were they so suddenly delectable. He cursorily made movements with his eyes saying everyone to be quiet. Before he could fumble up with her, he gently took her to the plush couch and gently made her lie with her head against the couch rest. He couldn't deviate his eyes from those intimating ineffable, well shaped legs. Crouching slowly, he took out his coat and covered her legs with it.
Subconsciously she smiled at him, "Kiss me Maxie!" She whispered. Max beat beet. He gulped and nodded obediently, "Next time, promise," he said and ambled away.
This day seemed to be endless. Max met Mariam, Tala met Julia, and Raul and Zane had quality time together, even though they were together while working each day at restaurants.
"You strut so confidently!" Ashlene whistled at Max as he walked to join the group back.
"The flamboyant bride!" Emma squealed.
"Oh, that is me!" Ashlene winked. Tyson just had to quell down his hilarity.
"Well, so Kai..." Tyson cleared his throat,
"Wait! First I defeated Max, accept it," Daichi interjected and pointed to Max and Tyson,
"We accepted your inadvertent victory, cool." Kenny smirked. Hilary clapped.
Daichi fumed up. Ashlene was bated of his reaction. She curiously rubbed her palms,
"Well, Daichi. Don't mind them, they are jealous," Ryan said politely trying to appease him.
"No Ryan-" Ashlene was cut off,
"Ryan's right," Rose added, "Daichi you're the real champion of food,"
Daichi smiled at Rose with shining eyes,
"Really?" Daichi asked almost in implore,
"If not in beybattle, that is," Kai coughed. Rose sighed as he doused her efforts.
"What!" Daichi growled,
"See Daichi!" Max pointed out at the entrance of banquet, "Another round started!"
Daichi glared at Max, "Nice try, Mustard," he said smugly.
Hilary and Ryan giggled at his words.
"Your teammate Daichi is so antique," Ryan commented innocently with amusement.
"I know!" Hilary chuckled,
"Not more than you," Ryan mumbled but Hilary didn't hear him.
"I'm not Mustard! I'm Max!" Max said petulantly,
"Either you're Mustard," Julia said playfully,
"Or you're Mariam's mustard," Tala added. Everyone bursted in laughter,
"And you're Julia's orange jelly," Raul whispered in Tala's ears. Tala was silenced in horror again.
'What a brother in law!'
"And you're Zane's beer," Julia whispered back in Raul's ears. Raul was dread quiet.
"Did you hear me?" Raul asked astonished to Julia.
"Of course. Tala do you agree to be my jelly?" She asked daringly. Tala's stoic face pinkened cutely in a furious dimple.
"What are you saying about?" Tala pretended,
"Oh well, then I'll be someone else's chocolate." Julia said feigning disappointment.
"No it's fine, we can do that." Tala said in his tough voice, but Julia sensed the warmth in that cold tone.
"You must have been born in ice, ya know," Julia commented rapidly.
"Oh, where is Zeo!" Tyson looked around.
"Oh here he is!" Ryan called out seeing him coming along with Robin and Logan. Johnny and Robert from Majestics also followed the trio. They seemed to be coming from banquet.
"Congrats Tyson!" Robin and Logan said cheerfully and hugged Tyson and smiled at Ashlene admirably.
"Hey Tyson, congrats dude!" Johnny snickered but anyway gave a meaningful pat and hug.
"Congratulations Tyson and Ashlene," Robert said and hugged Tyson.
"And Tyson, where is your lil' daughter?" Robin asked,
"Oh she!" Tyson grinned, "There she is, sitting with Gramps," Tyson looked at one side. "Oh my, she has hair just like you!" Robin said surprised and made his way to Ellie.
"I can't believe you are really married right now," Zeo said in pure excitement. "Really." He smiled.
Tyson just sighed blissfully, "Ashlene and I've met seven years back…" Tyson smiled serenely and commemorating everything, he continued, "And not instantly, but gradually fell in love. Well, long story," He smiled sheepishly,
"The one who you told was Amelia was this beautiful Ashlene," Rose smiled and nudged the bride.
"Well, thanks," Ashlene flushed.
"Elaborate Tyson," Hilary entailed him.
"Because Amelia means 'defender'. She was my defender always. That's why I'd given her that name, but Ash was my favorite one," Tyson said,
"You have all our blessings, buddy," Logan cheered,
"Thanks buddy," Tyson hugged him slightly,
"Don't make your wife waste her time waking you up in morning," Johnny joked.
"I'm really not gonna wake you up, Ty!" Ashlene abruptly warned,
"Whooa!" Tyson rolled his eyes.
They laughed. Tyson heartily made the aura cheerful.
"Ellie is really lucky though," Emma chuckled, as she glanced at the little girl.
"Of course, she gets the honor of being the daughter of Tyson Granger," Tyson said with pride
Ashlene's lips drooped down, "T-Tyson," Ashlene said with twisted lips,
"Haha, I meant that she's lucky because she gets to watch her parents get marry," Emma giggled,
Tyson's proud expressions faded, "Exactly " Ashlene said satisfactorily.
"Ashlene Reynolds, you're jealous!" Tyson smirked,
"Woah! Why will she be jealous?" Emma said,
"I can still beat you in beybattle Tyson!" The bride said confidently. Tyson slightly flinched at that. Ashlene noted and smiled slyly.
"Well, Tyson, you've your Amelia now, so make sure you take back your title rightfully next year" Logan said.
"Oh we will see," Rose said quickly, protective of Kai.
"I still don't understand the logic behind revealing me as Amelia in front of the entire world," Ashlene sighed, "Would you mind explaining?" Ashlene looked at her former husband,
"I'll tell you," Robert said, "Tyson was protective and possessive of you, Ash"
"Aww, so sweet," Emma teased, "You're scared that some Boris like guy would snatch her from you," Emma nudged him.
Tyson flushed a little seeing his wife curious, "C'mon, all guys are protective of their girlfriend,"
"Seriously? That was it?" Ashlene asked unbelievably.
"Well, truth to be told, yeah." Tyson sweatdropped.
"Boy, you're so sweet at times," The bride mumbled to herself.
"I heard that," Rose teased.
"The entire world would come to your house after knowing that their hero, almighty Tyson Granger got married!" A voice squeaked and Tyson saw a guy of age around his daughter. He blinked.
William... Ashlene seethed silently.
"Hey Kid! What are you doing here?" Tyson asked little nervously.
"I'm William! Your big fan!" William smiled which faded when he saw the bride.
"Hmm, so what do you want?" The bride asked.
"This guy somehow came up," Julia sighed.
"Yes, and he had irked Julia!" Tala added. Kai unhurriedly smirked at Tala while. Tala was grateful that Bryan and Ian were still at the dining table and not here to witness him and Julia together.
"Tala, just mind teaching this kid some gentle lesson?" Julia asked,
"Yeah," Tala glared at William,
"Tell me Ash, I'll get him kicked out!" Raul groaned. Tyson chuckled nervously.
"Calm down Raul." Julia said, "Tala can do that too,"
William frantically sweated.
"Our daughter's classmate..." Ashlene said wryly.
"Oh!" Tyson looked curiously.
"And this is my dad!" Ellie appeared suddenly and held Tyson. Tyson was almost getting this scene as funny. Tala and Julia along with Raul were rooting for Ellie, nodding at her antics.
Everyone were standing in a rough circle with the bride and bridegroom along with their daughter in the centre along with Julia currently.
"Your dad?" William looked unbelievably. Ashlene suddenly realized that William knew Raul as Ellie's dad.
"Yes, I'm her dad. Any problem with that?" Tyson asked with firm expression.
"B-But, " William looked at Raul while Raul was giving the kid horrendous glares. Tala smugly smiled at the kid.
"Well, the kids had fight once and Raul almost bet the crap out of him and he assumed that Raul is Ellie's dad," Julia said with a sigh,
"Oh I get it now," Tyson nodded at Julia, "But how come you got into this party?" Tyson raised an eyebrow,
William blanched and stuttered, "I-I,"
Ellie sighed accusingly, "I was telling Lily about the party and the guy had the nerve to eavesdrop us and follow me,"
"You came alone? No parents here?" Hilary asked shocked.
"Damn today's spoilt kids!" Zeo wiped a hand on his forehead.
"Well well, you kids go and spend time there at Grandpa's." Hilary advised, because that's what seemed right.
"Well, I was so excited hearing that Tyson's getting married. You're my big idol, Tyson," William said sadly.
"Ok kiddo, go and enjoy for now but stay away from my daughter." Tyson warned.
William gave a disgusting look to Ellie and stomped away.
"Kids of today..." Logan laughed.
Everyone started talking once again and Tyson and Ashlene smiled at each other. Taking the opportunity that no one's watching, Tyson kissed his wife softly on lips, sinking in the ocean of ecstasy deeper. Caught in the moment, Ashlene allowed him to take the lead. The shadows and darkness of the ball was taking over and they were unseen for the perfect time, engulfed in the darkness and love.
"You've the whole night today, Tyson. Let's stop now..." Ashlene said huskily. Despite the huge, ear screeching DJ being on and started, Tyson could hear her precisely.
"I can't wait until we sink into each other," he said in the same tone, and kissed on her neck gently.
The shadows moved so they parted and got ready for the dance once again for the last time for today.
Your heart for takeaway, yeah, yeah, yeah yeah
Hey, hey, hey
Where do you think you're going?
It's so late, late, late
What's wrong?
I said, "I can't stay, do I have to give a reason?
It's just me, me, me, it's what I want
They were having a fine time. Ashlene was fine even on those heels on which she previously stumbled on Tyson. More than dancing, it was a beautiful gazing contest in majestic proximity. Away from the worries of world, teammates, battles, college, hospital, patients and all, here they were, together- in a world of calm and glory.
….
Held by the hands that I crave, but won't probably hold me again. Touched by you, but might be you don't belong with me. Here with you, but probably you won't want me. Am I too unrequited?
Hilary breathed in shakily for a second as the thoughts fumbled in her crazy mind. Ryan's hands slowly tightened on her and she looked at him. He smiled and softened.
Hilary smiled back but Ryan could guess how empty it was and then back her eyes which didn't meet his. Ryan softly pulled a tress of her hair, so that he could clearly see her eyes. Hilary didn't object. She could suddenly remember their tryst in cabin before exam. Hilary flushed slightly and Ryan briefly smiled. Ryan leaned in and Hilary's heart skipped a beat. He neared towards her face gently and she could feel his vague breaths on her skin.
"Looking beautiful, Hils," he said softly.
Hilary didn't respond. She blinked with slightly parted lips.
...
Ashlene softly lied her head on Tyson's muscly chest and swayed rhythmically on song's beat in gentleness. Tyson rubbed his hand on her back.
"Tyson, what do you like?" Ashlene asked in a low tone,
"I like the way you breathe..." Tyson replied.
Where the light comes through
And I wanna see it all
From a close up view
So let's uncover me
And then let I uncover you
Baby let's uncover me
And then let I, let I uncover you
"Tyson, did you forgive me?" Ashlene asked as she still lied on his chest.
"I did, sweetheart. Long back." Tyson smiled.
"C'mon, let's dance a little. Quality dance?" Tyson mumbled in her ears.
"Hmm," she held him tighter and declined. Tyson sighed.
The night went on smoothly with romantic air building up, constant kisses, hugs, sweet words, and the cool breezes in all its glory. The invitees caught the newlywed couple kissing multiple times and they only chuckled and commented how cute they were.
Ryan and Hilary stopped dancing when Hilary realized that Ryan must be tired and sat with him on an empty couch silently. Just even sitting with him in space made her feel like he was scrutinizing her. She felt protected, unsure and nostalgic at the same time.
Ellie and William were eventually bored, so they finally took the plunge in talking with each other decently and about how boring the party was. Grandpa took care that the duo didn't start bickering anytime.
Time passed, the party coming to an end, guests gradually leaving and emptying the ball, and eventually the bride and groom left. Soon enough, as the hall emptied, Ryan and Hilary were the last to leave and she took him to her car and drove to Tala's apartment. Tala, Ian and Bryan had left the hall earlier. Except that she had asked Ryan if he was fine to which he replied positive, she didn't spoke of anything else.
