Delilah's POV
It was finally time for the homecoming parade. I wasn't going with James because Ida had said that what he did was extremely wrong. She texted him for me also, with Sebastian sitting next to her. Why is Sebastian always there? He needs to find something else in his life other than Ida.
When we were walking to the game, (through the wheat fields because Sebastian said he knew a "short-cut) I overhear a conversation between Ida and Sebastian, who are walking in front of me, Daisy, and Abby. Peter has to go early because he volunteered for ticket gathering. Sebastian looks down at Ida as she says, "What are you looking at?"
"You," he replies. I could not for the life of me contain the laugh that had. Sebastian turns to me, and I look at him annoyed. Then I pull Ida away from him while Abby slides in between them. Daisy looks at Sebastian in disgust and I silently think about how, for once, we agree on something.
By the time I get on the float, the parade is about to start. I hop on the float and see Anna, my only other friend besides Ida and Abby. I say "hey" and go over to her. We throw candy out together during the parade. Once it's finished, I tell Anna that I will see her at school and head to the bleachers with my friends. Abby sits next to Peter who sits next to Sebastian who sits next to Ida (much to my dismay.) Daisy, Abby, and I try to infer but Peter pulls Abby away and Daisy leaves to go who knows where, leaving me alone. I end up talking to Ida about James. When the game is over, I am the first to leave. I walk home alone and spot something strange. It looked like Willow and Rosy were on the swings together. I silently creep up to them and see Willow shoot Rosy. I struggle to stay calm and call Ida who doesn't answer. I decide not to call Abby because I'm not sure if she's mentally ready to hear that kind of thing, what with her mom and all. I start to get worried when I hear a familiar voice.
"Well done Willow, Witter will be impressed." It was Isaiah. With that, I sprint home and lock all the doors and windows. I needed help, but who's?
