A/N: There is never enough Roganda or Vima, right? Right...
Week 13 (09.29.06) - UDC 1
61. kiss
The touch was tentative, uncertain as she stood there, staring at the still-smoking corpse. The lightsaber in her hand still glowed blue, a glowing reminder of how everything had changed in the ensuing time between her choice to betray all she knew, and this moment that seemed to last an eternity in it's deafening silence.
Had she really changed so much, that she would rush in to defend someone else? To save them?
She took a deep breath as she turned the blade off. "I'm fine."
Han's short of derision was music to her ears.
62. hug
The old woman who stepped hesitantly off of the shuttle, peering around nervously, was not the self-assured aunt she remembered from so long ago. This one... if it hadn't been for the new clothes, her eyes would have skipped right past her dismissively.
Widia nodded to herself. Perhaps that was the point, after all: to go unnoticed by the masses.
They met at the edge of the landing pad in a crushing hug of familiarity. Of family long separated and long missed. Stories would be told and exchanged, but after.
63. smile
He found her leaning against a tree and had to pause to study her. He remembered her smile, though it was a rare occurance, but this... this seemed wistful, at peace. The most at peace she'd been... ever. "Hey."
"Hey, yourself," she murmured back, and pulled him closer. "How was it up there?"
Wes glanced up at Endor's night sky. "Chaotic."
"Was down here, too."
He'd gotten that impression from how long it had taken for the shield to come down. "Roganda...?"
"Can we just enjoy this?" she asked, nodding to the celebration. "You're here, and I'm here. It's enough."
Wes smiled and joined her in leaning against the tree.
64. frown
It had been ten years. Ten years in which everything had changed. Ten years in which she'd managed to almost forget this man who had been her mission partner, who had charmed his way into her bed on a dark and stormy night on a planet that she didn't remember the name of. She wanted to tell him everything, to yell and scream at him when he woke. She wanted to be the one to decide his fate.
Wanted to do lots of things. Roganda settled for frowning at Sarcev Quest. It didn't make him wake any sooner.
65. laugh
It seemed so simple, watching them from a distance while in his arms. Seemed simple, but wasn't. She wanted to laugh with them, to feel the mirth and the release. Wanted to, but couldn't. Not yet.
And then he whispered something ridiculous in her ear, and Roganda couldn't help herself.
Wes smirked and caught Han's gaze from the other side of the platform, noting the approval.
