Day 2 - 8:30 PM

"Where is home?" He asked. Between all that had happened he only just realized he had not been able to ask her about herself, let alone get to the bottom of all the questions he had.

She stiffened in his arms and he glanced down. She was biting the inside of her lip, contemplating the answer. Would she lie to him? After all this, would she prove herself untrustworthy?

"It's called Tokyo." She said. He smelled no deceit, but he also did not know of this place.

"Where is that." He asked. He could take this opportunity to take her there and see the place for himself.

"The well." She said.

He looked down at her incredulously. "You live in the well?" He asked, honestly confused.

"No...Well, yes?" She hedged.

"Which is it, miko?" His voice was a little sterner than he wanted it to be, but he did not like getting the runaround, nor did he like being lied to.

"I...The well...It's a portal." She finished unsure of herself.

"Explain." He said.

"I can't." She admitted.

"Miko…" His voice held a warning. She would not get away with such an answer.

"Sesshoumaru, please do not make me lie to you. I cannot tell you everything, but I promise, what I am telling you is the truth." She pleaded.

"Hn...very well then. Tell me what you can." He insisted.

She smiled a little at him and then her brows furrowed in concentration. "I am from Tokyo. The well is a portal from Inuyasha's forest to my Shrine. As far as I know, only I and Inuyasha are able to use the portal." She provided.

"Hn." That told him little, but he knew not to press her for more. He would go back to his fortress and find more information on this Tokyo and the power of the well. He still had questions he wanted answered, but they were almost at the well, and their time was running out.

"...I usually bring back gifts for Sango, Miroku, Inuyasha, and Shippou." She started. He glanced down at her as she spoke, her eyes were focused on one of the toggles in her coat. "...I could… If it would be ok with you, I could bring back something for Rin…" She finished.

His youki pulsed in affirmation. The fact that she would go through the trouble of bringing back something for his ward spoke volumes about her. "If it pleases you." He allowed, trying not to let any emotion show in his reply.

She beamed up at him. "It would! I know just the thing too." Her reiki danced around her. How so much joy could come out of bringing a gift for someone else, was something he did not quite understand.

"Um...If it pleases you," She began, using his own words against him. He gave her bottom a quick pinch for being so absurd and she only giggled. "Could I also bring something for...you?" She asked. He could hear how she held her breath, waiting for his reply.

"It would please me." He finally relented. The smile that appeared on her face almost made him falter. It was soft and so beautiful as the moon shone down on them.

"Good." She said.

He rolled his eyes, knowing she would see.
