Here's another after marriage Kronya chapter, this was all an idea left by someone who wrote a review, I forgot their name but I'm sure that person knows who they are.

Enjoy.

This wasn't right.

None of this was right.

Kronya was an Agarthan, a sworn enemy of the Church, she was trained to kill, to slaughter any who would dare oppose her or her allies, and later she was to be used as a sacirfice to get rid of the Professor, who wielded the Sword of the Creator.

And who was the son of the father she murdered in cold blood.

So someone like her, the classic villain of the story, was destined from the very beginning to die.

Yet, something happened. Her fate was changed. Instead of dying in a horrific death, she was instead taken as a lover by the very man whose father she killed. She fought against her former allies, the Agarthans, and when all was said and done, that same man; the Professor, took her as his wife and took the title of Archbishop. Now here she stood next to the most powerful man in Fodlan.

And...She was pregnant...

Her...Pregnant with a child, a child that was put inside of her by the Professor, the man who swore his love to her and saved her from her destined death.

It just wasn't right...

She stared into the mirror, her reflection staring back, seemingly as confused as she was. Kronya ran her hands over her stomach, where her child...Their child resided...It had only been a few months, and already a slight bump was beginning to appear. She should be happy, completely overjoyed at this fact...At least, that's what she was told.

Yet for some reason all she could feel was complete and utter dread, and she could not find out why.

"Kronya?"

The girl jumped, spinning around to view the man who called her name, smiling softly upon seeing it was merely her husband.

"Byleth...You startled me..." She said breathlessly, Byleth furrowed his brow at her.

"Are you alright? You look nervous." The man approached Kronya, resting his hands on her slender shoulders. She looked up to him and smiled, her red eyes meeting his.

"I'm fine just...Scared I suppose..."

"Scared? What of?"

"That's just the thing, I don't know. I should be feeling nothing but happiness right now, yet right now I feel like something terrible is going to happen...And it's all going to be my fault..." Kronya placed her hands over her stomach, rubbing it tenderly. Byleth noticed this.

"Are you worried about our child?"

Kronya scoffed. "How could I not be? I'm not exactly human you know..." She stepped back from him. "...Plus...I still don't think any of this is real..."

Byleth tilted his head to the side, chuckling lightly. "Not real?" He shook his head and stepped closer to her, lifting her chin up with his hand and gently embracing her lips with his. Kronya's eyes fluttered shut and she wrapped her arounds around Byleth's neck, whimpering softly.

She pulled away from the kiss with a gasp, backing away once again. "While I do appreciate that...I'm afraid it is not enough to ease my worries..."

Byleth frowned. "Then what can I do to help?"

Kronya remained silent, avoiding looking at him; Byleth sighed. "I understand, I'll give you some space. Just do not hesitate to call on me for assistance." Byleth smiled "We're married now, and I'm willing to do anything to help my lovely wife."

Kronya blushed deeply, smiling and turning to look at Byleth. "Thank you...Byleth..."

Marianne approached the door to the Archbishop's bedroom, taking a deep breath before knocking on the door.

"Come in."

The church girl jumped at the voice. Collecting herself, she opened the door, quickly stepping through and closing it behind her. Sitting at a table by the window was Kronya, a tea set in front of her on the table's surface. Marianne bowed slightly to the peculiar looking woman.

"Y-You called for me-" Marianne stopped short. "Umm... I...I really don't know how to address you..."

Kronya turned to look at the meek girl, her picering eyes looking over her; causing a shiver to run down Marianne's spine.

"Just my name is fine." Kronya said, taking a sip of tea from her cup, steam rising off the top from its hotness. It was well known among the Monastery's servants that Kronya loved her tea; ever since Byleth had introduced her to it back during the time she spent masquerading as Monica.

"O-Oh then um...W-What did you require of me?" Marianne asked timidly. Kronya continued to stare at the girl before finally answering.

"Fix me."

"I-I'm sorry?"

"There's something wrong with me, I'm worrying over nothing, and my mind is a mess." She took another sip of her tea, setting the cup back down on its porcelain plate. "So tell me, what should I do?"

Marianne thought for a brief moment. "U-Um...I believe that if you put your faith in the Goddess then-" Kronya scoffed.

"Oh please, spare me that pointless drabble. I could care less about the 'Goddess' you people believe in. I want actual answers." Kronya filled up her tea cup again "Not fairy tales."

Marianne was silent, she knew there were people who disliked the Goddess, especially the Agarthans, but to experience that hatred first hand was...A little uncomfortable. Marianne composed herself and opted to try a different approach.

"T-Then what is the problem?" She asked, Kronya narrowed her eyes.

"I just told yo-"

"What EXACTLY is the problem?" Marianne interrupted, Kronya raising an eyebrow. Did this girl just cut her off? Doesn't she know who she's talking to? She was above this lowly nun, she was the most powerful woman in all of Fodlan!

No...Don't think like that...She had to be better...For him...For their child...

For herself...

Kronya took a sip from her cup, turning to look out the window. "I'm sure you've already heard the news, that I'm pregnant with Byleth's child."

"Y-Yes, congratulations."

Kronya glanced at the girl, congratulations? For what? Because she got pregnant? Was it really something to be so excited over? She set her cup down and turned to look at Marianne.

"Everyone acts like that, their so happy for me. But instead of feeling happy all I feel is..." Kronya grit her teeth, stopping herself. Why was she doing that? Just say it!

Say it!

"...Dread..." She finally managed to say. "Dread over my own child...What a joke..."

Marianne was silent, not saying anything; Kronya sighed. "What was I thinking...Asking someone as jumbled as you for advice..." She turned away, looking out the window and waving her hand, shooing Marianne away. "Go back to groveling before a statue, forget I called you here." She took another sip from her cup.

"I think...You're worried about yourself..."

Kronya turned to look at Marianne, staring her down, yet Marianne did not falter.

"Kronya, I know you do not worship our Goddess, nor do you believe in her...So what do you believe in?"

The Agarthan thought for a moment...What did she believe in...In the past, she believed only in the plans laid out before her, she believed in the destruction of the Church, she believed in bloodshed. But now? None of that was around, that life of hers was over, all changed by one man.

"Byleth..." She muttered. "I believe in Byleth..."

Marianne nodded. "And he believes in you, he believes that you can change..." She took a step closer to Kronya, who shot her gaze back to Marianne. "I think you're feeling dread over your child, because you believe you won't be able to raise it right, that you won't be the mother the Professor expects you to be..."

Marianne smiled. "But the Professor believes in you so much, so if you believe in him, and trust him and his judgement, then I am certain that everything will be fine."

Now it was Kronya's turn to be silent, simply staring at Marianne with her eyes widened; by now the tea had cooled and Kronya glanced at it, the rising steam no longer visible. She turned back to the blue-headed girl.

"I...Guess you're right..." She smiled, a genuine smile. "Thank you Marianne..."

Marianna smiled back and bowed. "I will take my leave then." She said, turning around and opened the door, exiting into the hallway and closing the wooden door shut behind her.

Kronya took a sip from tea, grimacing at the coldness. She looked down at her belly, tenderly running her hands over it, smiling softly.

Yeah, that girl was right.

Things were gonna be just fine, so long as she believed in him.

In her beloved husband.

In Byleth.

I know it's another Kronya chapter, but I just love writing about her. Plus I found this idea to be very interesting.

Huge thanks to T.S. Atlas as usual, he helped come up with the majority of the latter half of this chapter, hope you all enjoyed this.

Until next time.
