A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 6: My Only Pride: [Part 9]
But before the fight between Rukia and Hollow Kaien, climaxed, Aizen invited him to lead the troops, to destroy the Karakura and harvest the souls needed to create the Soul King's key.
But Gin's smiling face did not show the dismay, he felt inside. For he desperately wanted to see the look of defeat in Rukia's face.
And yet, Aizen was keenly aware of this.
"Why are you interested in her?" Aizen asked Gin. Almost sounding curious, as if he does not know.
At the question, Gin only smiled wider.
"The same reason, you are interested in Kurosaki" Gin answered nonchalantly, as he marched ahead.
At that confession, Aizen's attention was caught, but he just let it go.
For Gin's past is not really of concern to him, now that he is so close to be ripped apart, once he finally found out the reason, he is standing beside him.
"Ah" Aizen just commented.
Because the reason he is interested in Kurosaki was…
He can see his own potential, in Kurosaki.
The unrivaled powers and abilities.

As for Gin.
He sees himself in Rukia.
For he was once like her, a pure soul.
But unfortunately, the destiny played a cruel joke on him, when he had to kill his own family.
For their own good.
To save them.
From themselves.
And because of that traumatic experience, he knew that no one will ever be able to understand him.
No one.
Until Rukia came along.
He had watched her for decades.
Thinking to himself…
What would she have done if she was in his place?
What would she feel?
How will she live her life, after killing her loved ones.

But it's such a shame…
He would not be able to see her expression… as she kills Kaien a second time.
"Rukia"
That name gave him hope.
