The 90 days were up. It was time to catch the mole, or leave NCIS forever. Hetty had a plan in place, and it was a bit of a complicated one.
1st, it involved getting 3 of her agents out of harm's way for a bit to keep them safe. So, she hid a dead body in Sam's car, and told IA that there was more Deeks was hiding about that dead cop from a long time ago.
The plan hit a major snag early on though, when her partner was attacked and almost killed.
The real surprise of the day though, was the annoying man who questioned her at the start of the whole mess, offered to help!
Things were back on track, until nightfall came, and FBI agents came to the boatshed. And Duggan was shot and killed.
Which meant she and Kensi had to make a quick getaway using the secret way out.
She and Kensi later got to a safe place for the night.
As she dried off (and mourned the loss of one of her outfits which sadly was ruined by the swim), Hetty reflected on the whole day. And knew what she had to do next.
Her next part of the plan involved breaking the 1st mole, Carl Brown, out of prison and using him as bait to draw the real mole out.
She called the people she had been conversing with for the last month and a half, and told them to be ready the next morning.
Nothing left to do but try to sleep. And pray no one dies the next day.
