After Round 10 finishes, Drayden stepped up again, and said "And that concludes Round 10. With the start of Round 11, which includes Clerk Brooke and Policeman Bobmosa" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
In the stands, Hilda asked, "Is, anyone notable in this group?"
"Not until Group 13, because that's my Group" Ash replied, to which Hannah and Hilda both replied "Awesome, good luck"
"Heh, thanks" Ash replied. Hilda's mom asked, "Should I contact your mom to watch your battle?"
"Sure, but I'll call her," Ash said, and he called Delia and invited her to join the group when Group 13 came up.
The first battle of Group 11 Round 1 was between Pilot Larry and Policeman Bobmosa in a Triple Battle. And in a close battle, Policeman Bobmosa's Aggeon, Arcanine and Pinsir defeated Pilot Larry's Scrafty, Tyranitar and Jellicent, securing victory for Policeman Bobmosa.
The second battle of Group 11 Round 1 was between Ace Trainer Yareli and Baker Liz in a Double Battle. And in a close battle, Baker Liz's Scolipede and Sigilyph defeated Ace Trainer Yareli's Floatzel and Jolteon, securing victory for Baker Liz.
The final battle of Group 11 Round 1 was between Clerk Brooke and Worker Kaden in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Clerk Brooke's Stoutland defeated Worker Kaden's Amoonguss, securing victory for Clerk Brooke.
At the end of Group 11, Drayden stepped back up to the arena, and said "And with that, Group 11 is complete. Now we move on to Group 12, good luck trainers" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 12 Round 1 was between Youngster Franco and Black Belt Minory in a Triple Battle. And in a close battle, Youngster Franco's Zoroark, Electivire and Braviary defeated Black Belt Minory's Krookodile, Drapion and Tangrowth, securing victory for Youngster Franco.
The second battle of Group 12 Round 1 was between Pokéfan Tristan and Guitarist Nokko in a Triple Battle. And in a pretty wide blowout, Pokéfan Tristan's Gliscor, Steelix and Weezing defeated Guitarist Nokko's Magnezone, Whimsicott and Lopunny, securing victory for Pokéfan Tristan.
The final battle of Group 12 Round 1 was between Beauty Karlie and Lass Jocelyn in a Single Battle. And Lass Jocelyn's Bisharp easily defeated Beauty Karlie's Ferrothorn, securing victory for Lass Jocelyn.
In the stands, Delia turned up just as Round 12 ended.
"Hey mom, you're just in time, Round 13 begins, and I'm part of that Group," Ash said, giving his mom a big hug, which she returned.
"Cool, I can't wait to see how you go sweetie" Delia replied, to which Ash nodded and headed off to get ready.
At the end of Group 12, Drayden stepped up and said "And now, for the second to last group. And this one includes the other favourite for the tournament crown, Kanto native Ash Ketchum, as well as Type Expert trainer Veteran Vito, and Driftveil City trainer Roughneck Rylan" and the crowd cheered appreciatively, though an enormous cheer was once again given for Ash, due to his favourite status for the Tournament, equal with Maximus.
The first battle of Group 13 Round 1 was between Veteran Vito and Roughneck Rylan in a Single Battle. And it wasn't close, as Veteran Vito's Parasect defeated Rylan's Musharna, securing victory for Veteran Vito.
The second battle of Group 13 Round 1 was between Backpacker Berke and Guitarist Ren in a Rotation Battle. And after a close battle, Guitarist Ren's Metagross, Pelipper and Maractus defeated Backpacker Berke's Zoroark, Sawsbuck and Reuniclus, securing victory for Guitarist Ren.
In the stands, Delia said "And now, it's Ash's turn"
"Good luck Ash" everyone called, and Ash, hearing this, was heartened as his battle came up.
And then, the crowd went silent, as Ash stepped up onto the arena, and waited for his opponent. After a couple of moments, Lass Indy stepped up. Then, the referee stepped between them, and said "The battle between Ash of Pallet Town and Lass Indy will now begin. The wheel will spin, and pick the format for this battle", and the wheel rotated, and landed on Double Battle.
"Bouffalant, Flygon, let's go" Lass Indy called, and Bouffalant and Flygon materialise. Ash nodded, then said "Haxorus, Rufflet, I choose you" and both Haxorus and Donphan materialised.
Battle: Haxorus and Rufflet VS Bouffalant and Flygon
"Haxorus, use Dragon Claw on Flygon" Ash called, while Indy called "Flygon, use Dragon Claw" and both Haxorus and Flygon's claws glowed with draconic energy, and they slashed each other. Haxorus took about half of its health in damage while Flygon was KO'ed in one hit.
"Bouffalant, quick, get that Haxorus down with Head Charge" Indy called, and Bouffalant's head was cloaked in white energy. Ash, however, was ready.
"Rufflet, intercept with Brave Bird" Ash called, and Rufflet cloaked itself in sky blue energy, and charged into Bouffalant, countering Head Charge, though not inflicting any damage itself.
"Haxorus, respond, Brick Break" Ash called, and Haxorus' arm was cloaked in a blade of orange energy, and struck Bouffalant, dealing Considerable damage.
"Follow it up, Rufflet, use Return" Ash called, and Rufflet cloaked itself with a heart of white energy and struck Bouffalant, dealing Minor damage.
"Argh. Bouffalant, struck back with Head Charge" Indy called, and Bouffalant again cloaked itself with white energy, and crashed into Rufflet, dealing Significant damage and taking Minor recoil.
"Rufflet, are you OK?" Ash called, and Rufflet got back up, somewhat unsteadily. Then called angrily.
"Haxorus, end this with Brick Break" Ash called, and Haxorus' arm was cloaked with a blade of orange energy, and struck, KO'ing Bouffalant.
"Bouffalant and Flygon are unable to battle, Rufflet and Haxorus win. The victor is Ash of Pallet Town"
"Woohoo! We won!" Ash called, and his Pokémon cheered. In fact, Rufflet cheered loudest, then glowed white, and started to grow.
"Wow, Rufflet's evolving," Ash said, and Rufflet grew, went more majestic, and when the evolution finished, the Pokémon called "BRAVIARY!"
"Wow! Rufflet evolved into Braviary" Ash said, and he got his Pokédex out and scanned Braviary.
"Braviary, the Valiant Pokémon, and the evolved form of Rufflet. Called "soldiers of the sky," Braviary fights tirelessly to protect its friends. If it has many scars, it earns more respect from its comrades." Ash's Pokédex said, to which Ash replied "Wow,
this is cool"
Conclusion: Rufflet/Braviary and Haxorus win.
In the stands
Hannah, Delia, Hilda's mom, Nate, Rosa, Hugh and Hilda all cheered.
"He won! He won!" Hannah called happily, while Hugh said "Wow, I didn't expect Rufflet's Brave Bird to cancel out Bouffalant's Head Charge"
"Yeah, it shows that Ash is going to be a big force in this Tournament" Nate responded. Hilda's mom turned to face Delia, and said "You must be proud of your son Delia"
"Oh I am, he's come so far" Delia replied. Soon, Ash returned to the seats and was greeted by a big hug from both Hilda and Delia.
"Heh, thanks," Ash said, returning the embrace. He then took a seat, and said "Well, there's only one more Group left in this first round,
At the end of Group 13, Drayden stepped up and said "And now for the final Group, Group 14, which includes Type Expert Tournament trainer Veteran Impera, and Driftveil Tournament Trainer Veteran Theodora" and the crowd clapped appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 14 Round 1 was between Veteran Theodora and Beauty Hannah in a Rotation Battle. And it wasn't that close, but Theodora's Klinklang, Lilligant and Vanilluxe defeated Hannah's Yanmega, Leafeon and Heatmor, securing victory for Veteran Theodora.
The second battle of Group 14 Round 1 was between Veteran Impera and Roughneck Gavin in a Double Battle. And after a close battle, Veteran Impera showed her skills as a Type Expert Tournament, her Scrafty and Krookodile defeating Roughneck Gavin's Crawdaunt and Liepard.
The final battle of Group 14 Round 1 was between Backpacker Butch and Ace Trainer Seamus in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Backpacker Butch's Scolipede defeated Ace Trainer Seamus' Bouffalant, securing victory for Backpacker Butch.
"And that is the end of the first round of the Group Stage of the Tournament and the end of the first day. We thank you for your time, and we'll see you tomorrow for Round 2" Drayden said, and everyone cheered.
"Well, we'd better get going," Ash said, to which the rest nodded, and all departed.
Or they would have, but Ash, Hilda, Hugh, Nate, Rosa, Delia, all were mobbed for autographs. Even Hannah got to sign autographs for a couple of people. Eventually, Ash and the rest of the crew got back to trainer headquarters.
"Well, I've got to meet my newly evolved Braviary," Ash said as Pikachu returned to him, and he let Braviary out of its ball.
"Braviary!" he called, cheering. Ash smiled, then patted the Valiant Pokémon. He then said "We'd better exchange your item. Eviolite won't work for you anymore", to which Braviary nodded. Ash then exchanged the Eviolite for the Muscle Band.
"Well, I think we'd better get ready for bed, to rest for tomorrow's tournament battles," Ash said, to which Hilda nodded, and after returning his Braviary and they gave their Pokémon to Nurse Joy, they all headed for their rooms.
The following morning, Ash and Hilda met up again out the front, after collecting their Pokémon and having breakfast.
"Well, here we go, the second round of battles," Ash said, to which Hilda nodded, and said "Let's go" and they headed for the stadium.
Drayden was back, and standing at the centre of the arena, as the Tournament spectators took their seats.
"Welcome to the second round of battle for the Group stage of the Unova League Tournament. We continue with the first Group of trainers seeking to get into the Knockout Stage of the Unova League Tournament, and their second
round of battles. Good Luck everyone" and the crowd cheered.
The first battle of Round 2 Group 1was between Waiter Andrew and Youngster Charlie in a Triple Battle. And after a very close battle, Youngster Charlie's Simisage, Vullaby and Magnezone defeated Andrew's Altaria, Stunfisk and Emolga, securing Charlie at the top of his group.
The second battle of Group 2 Round 1 was between Clerk Naomi and Backpacker Mashasi in a Rotation Battle. And after a close battle, Mashasi's Haxorus, Slaking and Throh defeated Naomi's Lickilicky, Grimpig and Carracosta, keeping Mashasi in contention.
The final battle of Group 2 Round 1 was between Lass Kelly and Pokéfan Anupa in a Triple Battle. And after a pretty close match, Pokéfan Anupa's Arcanine, Leafeon and Floatzel defeated Lass Kelly's Arcanine, Pelipper and Maractus, leapfrogging Pokéfan Anupa to a tie for the lead in his Group.
In the stands, Ash said "Trip's up in the next Group", to which Hilda replied "Yep"
"Let's see what he's got," Delia said, to which the crew nodded.
In the arena, Drayden stepped back up to the stage, and said "And that concludes Group 1. Now we continue with the second round for the trainers of Group 2, which includes the Nacrene City hotshot, Trip, and the Type Expert Tournament trainer Bonnie" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 2 Round 1 is between Doctor Maxie and Socialite Wilia in a Double Battle. And in a close battle, Doctor Maxie's Gothitelle and Haxorus defeated Socialite Wilia's Sigilyph and Stoutland, earning victory for Doctor Maxie.
In the stands, Hilda said "Now it's Trip's turn", to which Hilbert added on "This'll probably be Trip's toughest battle, Bonnie is a Type Expert Tournament trainer, so she'll be tough to battle"
"If Trip predicts correctly though, he may have an easy time. He has that Conkeldurr after all" Hugh said, to which Ash replied "I'm sure that Bonnie's ready for that"
"Let's see if Trip realises this" Hilbert replied, to which the rest of the crew nodded.
Next, it was Trip's turn. He stepped up to one side of the arena, while Ace Trainer Bonnie stepped up to the other. A referee stepped up in between, and said "The battle between Trip of Nuvema Town and Ace Trainer Bonnie of Undella Town will now begin. The format clock will spin, and determine the battle format" and the format clock spun, and landed on Single Battle.
"Alright. Mandibuzz, let's go" Bonnie called, and Mandibuzz materialised.
"Ugh, she predicted I'd use Conkeldurr. Change of plans, Vanilluxe, let's go" and Vanilluxe materialised.
Battle: Vanilluxe VS Mandibuzz
"Mandibuzz, use Substitute" Bonnie called, and Mandibuzz used a quarter of its health to hide behind a doll.
"You dare hide behind a doll? Vanilluxe, use Ice Beam" Trip responded, and Vanilluxe shot a beam of cold at Mandibuzz, breaking the Substitute.
"Now respond, quick, use Heat Wave" Bonnie called, and Mandibuzz unleashed a wave of hot air at Vanilluxe, inflicting Minor damage.
"Vanilluxe, respond with Ice Beam" Trip called, and Vanilluxe shot a beam of cold at Mandibuzz, but Bonnie was ready.
"Use Tailwind to dodge it" she called, and Mandibuzz summoned a stream of wind behind herself, and avoided the attack with the increased Speed.
"Brace yourself to respond Vanilluxe" Trip called, then Bonnie called "Now strike again with Heat Wave" and Mandibuzz once again shot a stream of hot air at Vanilluxe, inflicting Minor damage.
"Quick, respond with Ice Beam" Trip called, and Vanilluxe shot a beam of cold at Mandibuzz, this time hitting and inflicting Considerable damage.
"Mandibuzz, strike again with Heat Wave" Bonnie called, and Mandibuzz once again shot a stream of hot air at Vanilluxe.
"Vanilluxe, dodge it then finish this with Ice Beam" Trip called, and Vanilluxe avoided the Heat Wave and shot a beam of cold at Mandibuzz, KO'ing it.
"Mandibuzz is unable to battle, Vanilluxe wins. The victor is Trip of Nuvema Town" the Referee said and both trip and Vanilluxe celebrated.
Conclusion: Vanilluxe wins.
The final battle of Group 2 Round 1 is between Hiker Euro and Pokéfan Makayla in a Single Battle. And it was a Whimsicott off, and Hiker Euro's Whimsicott defeated Pokéfan Makayla's Whimsicott, securing victory for Hiker Euro.
In the stands, Rosa stood up, and said "Alright, this is my group, so I'd better get going"
"Good luck Rosa," the crew said, and she waved to them as she headed for the arena.
Back in the arena, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 2. Now we continue with round 2 for the trainers of Group 3, which includes the female member of the Aspertia City Trio, Rosa, and the next Type Expert Trainer, Homer" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Round 1 Group 3 was between Psychic Ferly and Hiker Homer in a Triple Battle. And despite a massive type disadvantage, Hiker Homer's Krookodile, Claydol and Camerupt defeated Psychic Ferly's Lilligant, Dewgong and Stoutland, securing victory for Homer.
The second battle of Round 1 Group 3 was between Beauty Centsa and Hiker Fidel in a Single Battle. And after a close battle, Hiker Fidel's Crobat defeated Beauty Centsa's Garbodor, securing victory for Hiker Fidel.
In the stands, Hannah said excitedly "Rosa's next, wish her luck", to which Hugh, gently putting his hand on his sister's shoulder, said "Calm down a little please sis, I know you're excited, but you're kinda drawing a lot of attention to yourself"
"Oh, sorry" Hannah replied, and she returned to her seat. Hilda's mom chuckled, and said "Heh, both of you were like that when you were younger"
"Hilda still is" Ash replied, to which both Hilbert and Hilda's mom nodded.
Finally, Rosa stepped up to the arena, for her battle, and Lass Uno turned up on the other side. Then, the Referee stepped between them and said "The battle between Rosa of Aspertia City and Lass Uno of Castelia City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and decide the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Rotation Battle.
"Bronzong, Sandslash and Swanna, let's do this" Uno said, and Bronzong, Sandslash and Swanna materialised. Rosa replied "Seismitoad, Eelektross and Swanna, let's put on a show" and Seismitoad, Eelektross and Swanna materialise.
Battle: Bronzong, Sandslash and Swanna VS Seismitoad, Eelektross and Swanna
Rosa rotates to Swanna, then called "Swanna, use Air Slash" and Swanna shot a blade of sky blue energy at Sandslash, inflicting Moderate damage.
"I'm not being caught out by that, Sandslash, use Crush Claw" Uno called, and Sandslash's claw glowed white, and grabbed Swanna, crushing it and inflicting Minor damage.
Uno then rotated to Bronzong, and Rosa, seeing this, rotated to Eelektross.
"Eelektross, use Fire Punch" Rosa called, and Eelektross covered its fist with flames, and punched Bronzong, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Bronzong, use Hypnosis" Uno called, and Bronzong sent psionic waves of sleep at Eelektross, putting it to Sleep.
Rosa then rotates to Seismitoad, and calls "Seismitoad, use Surf" and Seismitoad sent a wave of water at Bronzong, inflicting Minor damage.
"Bronzong, use Extrasensory" Uno called, and Bronzong sent a beam of yellow and white psionic energy at Seismitoad, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Seismitoad, another Surf" Rosa called, and Seismitoad once again sent a wave of water at Bronzong, inflicting Minor damage.
"Strike again Bronzong, Extrasensory" Uno called, and Bronzong sent a beam of yellow and white psionic energy at Seismitoad, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Keep it up Seismitoad, use Surf again" Rosa called, and Seismitoad unleashed another wave of water at Bronzong, inflicting Minor damage.
"Respond, Extrasensory" Uno called, and Bronzong sent a beam of yellow and white psionic energy at Seismitoad, inflicting Moderate damage.
"One more Surf Seismitoad" Rosa called, and Seismitoad unleashed another wave of water at Bronzong, inflicting exactly enough to KO Bronzong.
Uno then rotated to Swanna, while Rosa rotated to Eelektross.
Seeing the danger, Uno rotated to Sandslash, then called "Sandslash, use Crush Claw" and Sandslash' claw glowed white, and crushed Eelektross, inflicting Minor damage and lowering Eelektross' Defence.
Rosa rotates to Seismitoad, then calls "Seismitoad, use Surf" and Seismitoad unleashed a wave of water at Sandslash, inflicting Significant damage.
"Sandslash, respond with Earthquake" Uno called, and Sandslash unleashed waves of light brown energy at Seismitoad, KO'ing it.
Rosa then rotated in Swanna
"Swanna, use Air Slash" Rosa called, and Swanna sent a blade of sky blue energy at Sandslash, KO'ing it.
Uno then rotated into Swanna, while Rosa rotated into Eelektross.
"Swanna, use Bubble Beam" Uno called, and Swanna shot a beam of bubbles at Eelektross, inflicting Minor damage.
Eelektross stayed asleep for a second turn.
"Keep the Bubble Beams coming" Uno called, and Swanna shot another beam of bubbles at Eelektross, inflicting Minor damage.
Eelektross then woke up, and Rosa called "Eelektross, use Wild Charge" and Eelektross cloaked itself with electricity and charged into Swanna, KO'ing it while taking Minor recoil.
"Bronzong, Sandslash and Swanna are unable to battle, Swanna and Eelektross win. The victor is Rosa of Aspertia City" the Referee said, and Rosa celebrated with her Eelektross and Swanna.
Conclusion: Eelektross and Swanna wins.
In the stands, Hannah said "Rosa won, Rosa won"
"Yeah, she did well" Nate replied, to which Hugh nodded and said "She's doing well"
"That she is" Hannah replied, to which the crew nodded.
