Scene: The Nursery
Kyle ((Jai) measuring Sarah's enormous stomach): Your stomach is enormous. You are long overdue. You must deliver John very soon.
Sarah (experiencing Braxton Hicks): It is time
Kyle (frantic): OH MY GOD!
Sarah (sitting down in a rocking chair): I am not in labor. It was a false alarm.
Kyle (rubbing Sarah's stomach): Please hurry up, baby. I am so anxious and excited to meet you.
Pops (entering the nursery): Firstborn babies usually arrive late
Sarah (choked up): I read somewhere overdue babies can make the birthing process hard for women. Young women can die in childbirth.
Kyle (touching Sarah's cheek): I will not lose you
Time Period: John's actual birth
Scene: A delivery room
Sarah (crying and screaming): AHA...AHA...AHA
The doctor: The baby's head is emerging
Sarah (holding onto Kyle): AHA...AHA..AHA
Kyle (choked up): I love you so much
Sarah: AHA...AHA...AHA
Pops: You are very strong, Sarah
(Sarah screams and pushes one more last time. John experiences breathing issues as the result of spending a day of time in the birth canal. Who knew an asthma attack would kill John (Thomas) one day?)
