Chapter 71- Three Roses and a Smile

Skye wasn't too happy that Myrtle sent her out to lunch with Kendall and Bianca. She needed to be there for Rae's homecoming, and she was starting to feel angry towards her grandmother for it. Kendall suggested BJ's, but Skye didn't want to go to Pine Valley, she wanted to stay in town and eat somewhere fancier. Kendall won out though because Bianca also voted for BJ's and Myrtle only gave them enough money for a cheaper restaurant.

"How many today?" the hostess asked as they walked in.

"Three," Skye said.

"Actually, four," Kendall spoke up.

Skye scrunched her face. "Four?"

Kendall nodded. "I invited a guest."

"Just who is this guest?" Skye asked as they were seated.

"Well, I didn't want Bianca to find out, but I had plans already and Myrtle insisted on this lunch."

Bianca skimmed through her menu. "Find out about what?"

"Okay, Bianca…" Kendall looked at her seriously. "You don't like me, and I don't like you. But you have to promise me you won't say anything to Erica."

Skye rolled her eyes. "Is this about Fusion?"

Kendall glared at her.

"She already knows," Skye said.

"She what?"

"Our sponsors want more females, so I hired Bianca."

Kendall raised an eyebrow. "Excuse me? Well, then un-hire her!"

Skye crossed her arms. "I'm not going to do that. She was raised by Erica Kane. She understands cosmetics. We need people like her."

"That wasn't part of our plan," Kendall said. "Now Erica's just going to look at this as Bianca's project and when we get big, she'll get all the credit."

Bianca scrunched her face. "Huh?"

"She'll be working for us," Skye said with emphasis. "She won't be running the company—"

"Bianca already has everything," Kendall said. "She's a spoiled little brat and doesn't get to step on my toes—"

"Can you please not talk about me like I'm not sitting right here?" Bianca inquired.

"If anything, you can view her like a servant," Skye said.

"Uh, nuh uh, I'm not her servant," Bianca said.

"Even more than that, Bianca will be on our side," Skye added. "Wait to see Erica's reaction when both her daughters are her competition. With you and me at the top."

Kendall stopped and pondered but shook her head. "You're just doing this to pay me back."

"Okay, fine… but you made me so mad when you were trying to steal my mom and grandma from me," Skye said.

Kendall laughed. "You really thought I could steal them from you? You really do need therapy."

Skye scowled at her.

"I just did that because I knew it would make your blood boil," Kendall said. "It's not that hard to tick you off, you know. You have a short fuse."

"What about you? You're some miserable pathetic thing who is so jealous of Bianca, you feel threatened that I hired her to work for us."

"Fine." Kendall turned to Bianca. "You can work for us on two conditions, Binks."

Bianca rolled her eyes. "I don't know if I want to now. It sounds like you're both just using me."

"Oh, come on," Kendall said. "You want to stick it to Erica as much as I do."

Bianca set her menu down and looked at Kendall. "What are the conditions?"

"You don't utter a word about this to Erica. And Skye and I are in charge."

"Fine by me," Bianca said. "I don't want to be in charge anyway."

Rae was shocked to say the least when she saw Myrtle's pink hair. She wasn't shocked, however disappointed, when Myrtle told her how she got the pink hair.

"And here I was feeling bad for Skye that Kendall was purposely making her jealous," Rae said as John helped her into his car and Myrtle sat in the back with her. "I should've known it was all just part of a game between them."

"Why on earth would Kendall try to make Skye jealous?" Erica said as she settled into the passenger's seat.

"Well, it's not just Skye," Rae said. "I think she was trying to make you jealous too."

Erica scoffed. "Me? I don't get jealous."

"Even I know you get jealous easily, Ms. Kane," John said as he started the car.

Erica rolled her eyes. "Just how was she trying to make me and Skye jealous?"

"By moving in with me and showing affection to Rae," Myrtle explained.

Erica laughed nervously. "She was showing affection to Rae?"

Rae sighed. "Don't worry, Erica. I'm no threat to you."

"You still haven't told us who this mystery guest is," Skye said as she sipped on her club soda with lime.

"Yeah, and I'm getting hungry," Bianca added. "Do we have to wait to order?"

"All right, so you got us two sponsors. AJ and Jax," Kendall said.

Skye rolled her eyes. "No kidding."

"And I got us Ryan," Kendall continued. "So, there's no way I'm going to let you use this against me and claim you own more of the company than I do. So therefore, I got us another sponsor."

"And just who is this new sponsor?" Skye asked.

"He comes from a very powerful and wealthy family and he's in town looking for his brother."

"Hello, Kendall."

They all looked up to find a very handsome, thirty-something man with a charming smile on his face and holding three roses.

"Michael." Kendall started to blush when he kissed her cheek and handed her a rose. "Ladies, I'd like to introduce you to Michael Cambias. Michael, this is my sister Bianca Montgomery and my business partner, Skye Chandler."

Skye started to blush too when he kissed her hand and gave her a rose. "Of Cambias Industries?"

"Indeed," Michael said and went on to kiss Bianca's hand and giving her the final rose before taking a seat. "It's a pleasure to meet all of you."

"H-how were you able to get a Cambias?" Skye asked, still gazing dreamily at Michael.

"As soon as Kendall caught my eye at the Valley Inn last week," Michael said. "I knew it was meant to be." He looked deep into Kendall's eyes. "I believe this is the start of a beautiful partnership."

Kendall bit her bottom lip to stop herself from smiling so much but Bianca just rolled her eyes at how Kendall and Skye were so giddy over him.

"So, uh…" Skye scooted her chair closer to him. "Kendall said you're looking for your brother?"

He nodded. "We believed him to be dead for many years, but I recently discovered he's still alive and living in Pine Valley."

"Oh, you must be so relieved," Skye said.

"Not as relieved as I am to be part of this exciting new business venture."

Kendall and Skye both sighed contentedly as they continued to gaze at him.

"Excuse me?" Bianca flagged down the waitress. "We're ready to order."
