Movie night has been a great idea...

Even though I didn't really care about the film, something with a lot of shooting and loads of blood, it was nice to see Jake and Seth relaxed, one on the couch beside me the other sitting in Charlie's recliner, eyes focused on the screen where a bald man with a lot of tattoos jumped from a skyscraper and onto a helicopter and didn't break a single finger.

I had intertwined my fingers with Jacob's and played idly with them when all of a sudden a knock from the door woke me from my half-asleep state. Rolling my eyes I got up, motioning for the boy's to stay put.

I didn't even raise an eyebrow when I opened the door and found three people standing outside, soaked from the still pouring rain. I had known it would be simply a matter of time before they showed up. After Seth's arrival and what he had told me about Sam and the pack, I knew that they'd come too.

How?

I honestly couldn't answer that. It was some kind of feeling inside my stomach that told me, this little pack was about to grow larger before the night was over.

I opened the door fully and let them enter, way beyond caring about the floor or the carpet. I was already calculating where to let them sleep and if my clothes would fit her or if she would even consider wearing them. I closed the door. "Need a towel?" I asked lightly and smiled. "If you don't mind... The rain is rather wet, you know?" Embry replied with a grin. I shook my head, amused, and went up the stairs to get three more towels.

In the meantime, Jacob and Seth had come from the living room, looking surprised at the new arrivals. Especially Seth seemed to be caught off guard by the appearance of his sister.

"Leah?" he asked. "What are you doing here?"

"How about looking for my little brother who had decided to run away in the wilderness?" Leah replied angrily and gave Seth a hard slap on the back of his head. "You are such an idiot, you know? Do you know how worried I was?" She slapped him again and Seth put up his arms to defend himself. "Ouch, Leah... Ouch, what are you... ouch, stop it... I am sorry, alright? Just... ouch... stop it."

"You deserve much more than that for giving me such a fright", Leah snorted before taking the towel from my outstretched hands and started to dry her short hair.

Beside her, Embry and Quil did the same, watching the scene between the siblings with a huge grin on their faces.

"She is right about that", Quil stated the obvious. "You should have told us what you wanted to do."

"Why? So you could stop me? Tell me, that Sam is right and that you had to obey your leader?" Seth asked stubbornly, crossing his arms. He earned another slap but this time it came from Embry. "No, you idiot, of course not. So that we could come with you, kid."

Jacob's brows knitted tightly together. "You what?"

"Jake, really, did you honestly think we would leave you in times like these?" Quil had dried his hair and was now rubbing the towel against his arms and chest. "You are our friend and no matter what Sam says, you are not a traitor. Nobody who sees things differently should be called that. That's not what a leader is supposed to do. Sam sees himself more and more like a king or something, not like an Alpha. He thinks that only he knows what's right and what's best for everyone, and everyone who thinks otherwise should either shut up or get out."

"So, we decided to get out", Embry added, slinging the damp towel across his shoulder.

"I might add that I didn't do it entirely out of my free will but since my little brother here follows you around like a puppy, it would seem you are stuck with me too."

The way they all looked at Jacob made smile with amusement. It was the same look that had once been reserved for Sam, their Alpha and leader and was now for Jacob.

Seems like Sam's getting competition over here. The Black Pack. I must say, it has a nice ring to it. Wonder, what Jacob's thinking about this...
