Back in the arena, at the end of Group 3, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 3, I hope they put on a good show. Now on to Round 2 of Group 4, which includes the Type Expert Trainer Veteran Walter" to the applause of the crowd.
As Rosa returned to the stands, Hannah said "Well done, you did really well,", to which Rosa replied "Thanks", and the fourth Group set up for their battles.
The first battle of Round 1 Group 4 was between Beauty Chloe and Pilot Harley in a Single Battle. And after a close battle, Beauty Chloe's Lapras defeated Pilot Harley's Garbodor, securing victory for Beauty Chloe.
The second battle of Round 1 Group 4 was between Worker Hernando and Veteran Walter in a triple battle. And despite some negative type matchups, Veteran Walter's Forretress, Galvantula and Heracross defeated Worker Hernando's Emolga, Walrein and Ferrothorn, securing victory for Veteran Walter.
The third battle of Round 1 Group 4 was between Clerk Lester and Ace Trainer Alison in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Ace Trainer Alison's Metagross defeated Clerk Lester's Aggron, securing victory for Ace Trainer Alison.
In the stands, Hilda said "Well, this is my group,", and everyone said "Good Luck Hilda" and she waved to everyone as she headed for the arena.
At the end of Group 4, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 4. And we now start on the second round of Group 5. Again, this is a special Group, because, not only is Hilda in this group, who's come out of her big brother's shadow, but also the Type Expert trainer, Homer. Good luck everyone" and the crowd cheered appreciatively. Indeed, there were some cheers in particular for Hilda, from her battles at the Driftveil Tournament, as well as her relationship with Hilbert.
The first battle of Group 5 Round 2 was between Swimmer Tessa and Backpacker Jax in a Rotation Battle. And Jax dominated, his Throh, Unfezant and Mamoswine thrashed Tessa's Sigilyph, Floatzel and Flareon.
Hilda stepped up next and saw that Ace Trainer Drakon was on the other side. Then, the Referee stepped up, and said "The battle between Hilda of Nuvema Town and Drakon of Opelucid City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format", and the clock spun, and landed on Double Battle.
"Kingdra, Druddigon, let's do this" Drakon called, and both Kingdra and Druddigon materialised. Hilda nodded, then said "Samurott, Mienshao, let's show them what we can do" and Samurott and Mienshao materialised.
In the stands, Ash called "Good Luck Hilda" which was echoed by the rest of the crew.
Battle: Mienshao and Samurott VS Druddigon VS Kingdra
"Mienshao, use Fake Out on Kingdra" Hilda called, and Mienshao's arms were cloaked in white, and clapped Kingdra, not only inflicting Minor damage but also causing Kingdra to Flinch.
"Druddigon, quick, strike Mienshao with Dragon Claw" Drakon called, and Druddigon's claws were cloaked in draconic energy, but Hilda was ready.
"Mienshao, quick, dodge it, then Samurott, use Ice Beam" and Mienshao narrowly avoided the claws, then Samurott shot a beam of cold at Druddigon, dealing Considerable damage.
"Now Mienshao, use Drain Punch" Hilda called, and Mienshao's arm glowed with orange energy, and punched Kingdra, dealing Moderate damage.
"Now Druddigon, Glare that Mienshao, then Kingdra, use Dragon Pulse" Drakon called, and Druddigon shot a glare of white energy at Mienshao, Paralysing it, then Kingdra shot a pulse of draconic energy, inflicting Considerable damage.
"Samurott, use Ice Beam again" Hilda called, and Samurott shot a beam of cold at Druddigon, but Kingdra blocked it, taking about a quarter of its max health in damage.
"Kingdra, strike that Samurott with Dragon Pulse" Drakon called, and Kingdra shot a pulse of draconic energy at Samurott, dealing Considerable damage.
"Samurott, use Megahorn on Kingdra" Hilda called, and Samurott'd horn glowed teal, and charged into Kingdra, dealing Moderate damage.
"Now Druddigon, use Dragon Claw on Mienshao" Drakon called, and Druddigon's claws glowed with draconic energy, and slashed Mienshao, KO'ing it,
"Oh no, Mienshao return," Hilda said, and Mienshao was withdrawn. She then called "Now Samurott, use Retaliate" Hilda called, and Samurott erupted in white energy and crashed into Kingdra, KO'ing it.
"Kingdra, return," Drakon said, and Kingdra was withdrawn.
"Druddigon, use Dragon Claw" Drakon called, and Druddigon cloaked its claws with draconic energy, but Hilda was ready.
"Samurott, dodge it then use Ice Beam" and Samurott narrowly avoided the claws, and shot a beam of cold energy at Druddigon, inflicting Considerable damage.
"Another Dragon Claw Druddigon" Drakon called, and Druddigon's claws glowed with draconic energy, and slashed Samurott, dealing Considerable damage.
"End this Samurott, another Ice Beam" Hilda called, and Samurott shot a beam of cold at Druddigon, and KO'ed it.
"Woohoo, Samurott we won" Hilda called, and she hugged her Samurott as they celebrated.

In the stands, Ash called "Awesome battle Hilda, you did very well", and the rest of the crew also cheered.
The final battle of Group 5 Round 2 was between Swimmer Ted and Camper Victor in a Triple Battle. And after a close battle, Camper Victor's Weavile, Crawdaunt and Gliscor defeated Swimmer Ted's Scrafty, Sawsbuck and Weezing pretty easily, keeping Victor in touch with the top of Group 5.
At the end of Group 5, Drayden stepped up, and said "And with that, Group 5 is concluded. And now, we move on to the second round of Group 6, which includes Driftveil Tournament trainer Dmitri" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
In the stands, Hilda returned and gave Ash a big hug, which he returned.
"That was tough, but I'm so glad I won," Hilda said, to which Ash replied "Yeah, that was close, but you showed that you can hold your own"
"Well done Hilda," the rest of the crew said, to which Hilda replied "Thanks" and she took a seat again.
The first battle of Group 6 Round 2 was between Hiker Eric and Clerk Nakaka in a Triple Battle. And in a close battle, Clerk Nanaka's Scolipede, Cryogonal and Dewgong defeated Hiker Eric's Mienshao, Electivire and Vanilluxe, keeping Hiker Eric at the bottom of Group 6.
The second battle of Group 6 Round 2 was between Policeman Bobhiko and Scientist Carver in a Double Battle. And Policeman Bobhiko's Stoutland and Leavanny pretty easily defeated Scientist Carver's Jolteon and Roserade, keeping Bobhiko near the top of Group 6.
The third battle of Group 6 Round 2 was between Beauty Hermiornie and Scientist Dmitri in a Rotation Battle. And in a close, intense battle, Scientist Dmitri's Klinklang, Conkeldurr and Golduck defeated Beauty Hermiornie's Seismitoad, Solrock and Cryogonal, keeping Scientist Dmitri at the top of the Group.
Once Group 6 finished, Drayden said "And now, it's lunchtime. We have to take a break, but we'll be back in an hour to complete the rest of Round 2" and the crowd cheered, then dispersed. Ash and the rest of the crew headed for areas to eat.
While they ate, Hilda said "This tournament's proving to be challenging, I love it", to which Ash replied "Agreed on that count, the strength of everyone is on display"
"I'm really proud of you sis, you've shown your development. And Ash, I'm so glad you helped her with this" Hilbert said, as he joined them. Ash replied "Thanks Hilbert", and Hilda responded "Thanks bro, I would love to see how far I get"
"That'd be interesting to see. I'd hope to battle you at some point, that'd be cool to see how far you've come" Ash replied, to which Hilda responded "Yeah, that'd be cool"
"Also, I reckon it was a great idea to invite the trainers from the various Pokémon Tournament trainers," Ash said, to which Hilbert responded, "I think they've been nerfed a bit though, I remember them being in the mid-60s during most Tournaments"
"Well, the average level of the trainers around here is the low 50s, so facing off against Pokémon 10 or more level above yours isn't exactly fair, when it's meant to be a fair test" Delia replied, to which Ash nodded.
Once lunch was over the crew return to the stadium. And over the next twenty minutes, the rest of the audience return.
After Group 6 finished, Drayden stepped back up to the arena, and said "And with that, Group 6's battles are done. Now for the second round for Group 7, which includes Driftveil City trainer, Xavier and Type Expert Tournament trainer Margaret. Good luck" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 7 Round 2 was between Lass Danielle and Bird Keeper Eric in a Single Battle. And in a fairly close battle, Lass Danielle's Krookodile defeated Bird Keeper Eric's Crustle, securing victory for Lass Danielle, despite the type disadvantage.
The second battle of Group 7 Round 2 was between Ace Trainer Xavier and Veteran Margaret in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Veteran Margaret's Steelix defeated Xavier's Heracross, keeping Veteran Margaret at the top of Group 7.
The final battle of Group 7 Round 2 was between Youngster Dorian and Pilot Kendal in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Youngster Dorian's Toxicroak defeated Pilot Kendal's Muk, keeping Pilot Kendal to the bottom of Group 7.
In the stands, as Group 7 finished, Hugh stood up and said "it's my group next, so I'll see you all in a bit", before giving a big hug to Hannah, and everyone said "Good Luck Hugh", to which Hugh nodded, and headed for the arena.
At the end of Group 7, Drayden steps back up to the arena and said "And with that, it is the end of Group 7, and the start of the second round for Group 8 trainers, which includes the Aspertia City hotshot, Hugh, as well as the Type Expert trainer, Drakon" and the crowd cheered appreciatively, with additional cheers
for Hugh specifically.
The first battle of Group 8 Round 2 was between Battle Girl Wanda and Pokémon Ranger Makina in a Triple Battle. And after a close battle, Pokémon Ranger Makina's Carracosta, Simisear and Mantine defeated Battle Girl Wanda Drifblim, Magmortar and Amoonguss.
The second battle of Group 8 Round 2 was between Psychic Delphine and Black Belt Hayden in a Double Battle. And in a bit of a blowout, Psychic Delphine's Starmie and Sigilyph defeated Black Belt Hayden's Scolipede and Steelix, triumphing despite the negative type matchups.
Hugh and Psychic Destiny walked up to the arena, and when the Referee stepped up and said "The battle between Hugh of Aspertia City and Psychic Destiny of Undella Town will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the clock spun, and landed on Triple Battle.
"Chandelure, Swoobat and Mr Mime let's go," Destiny said, and Chandelure, Swoobat and Mr Mime materialised.
"Accelgor, Chandelure, Azumarill, let's show our power," Hugh said, and Accelgor, Chandelure and Azumarill materialised.
Battle: Chandelure, Swoobat and Mr Mime VS Azumarill, Chandelure and Accelgor
"Azumarill, we must get that Swoobat. So, use Aqua Jet" Hugh called, and Azumarill cloaked itself in an arrow of water and shot at Swoobat, but Destiny was ready.
"Swoobat, use Protect" Destiny called, and Swoobat threw up a barrier to stop the Aqua Jet.
Having seen this, Hugh called "Accelgor, use Acid Spray on Mr Mime" and Accelgor shot a stream of purple acid at Mr Mime, dealing Slight damage and sharply lowering Mr Mime's Special Defence.
"Mr Mime, take out that Accelgor with Psychic" Destiny called, and Mr Mime shot a burst of psionic energy at Accelgor, dealing Considerable damage.
"Chandelure, use Shadow Ball on her Chandelure" Hugh called, and his Chandelure shot a ball of spectral energy at Destiny's Chandelure, but Destiny called "Chandelure, use Protect" and Chandelure blocked the ball with a barrier.
Hugh then called again "Now Azumarill, use Aqua Jet on Swoobat again" and Azumarill once again cloaked itself in an arrow of water, and shot into Swoobat, dealing Considerable damage.
"Now Accelgor, use Me First" Hugh called, and Accelgor generated a bunch of balls around Swoobat, then absorbed them. After that, it shot a blade of sky blue energy at Swoobat, using Air Slash, dealing Considerable damage.
"Didn't work, so KO Accelgor with Air Slash" Destiny called, and Swoobat shot a blade of sky blue energy right back at Accelgor, KO'ing it.
"Now Mr Mime, use Energy Ball on Azumarill" Destiny called, and Mr Mime shot a ball of natural energy at Azumarill, dealing Considerable damage.
"Let's take out that annoying Mr Mime Chandelure, use Shadow Ball" Hugh called, and Chandelure shot a ball of spectral energy at Mr Mime, KO'ing it.
"This isn't over, Azumarill, use Aqua Jet on Swoobat" Hugh called, and Azumarill cloaked itself in an arrow of water and shot into Swoobat, KO'ing it.
"And Chandelure, use Shadow Ball" Hugh called, and his Chandelure shot a ball of psionic energy at Destiny's Chandelure, dealing significant damage.
"Now my Chandelure, respond with Hex" Destiny called, and her Chandelure sent a spectral spell at Hugh's Chandelure, dealing Considerable damage.
"My Chandelure, end this with Shadow Ball" Hugh called, and Chandelure shot another ball of spectral energy at Destiny's Chandelure, KO'ing it.
"Chandelure, Swoobat and Mr Mime are unable to battle, Chandelure and Azumarill win, the victor is Hugh of Apertia City," the Referee said, and Hugh and his Pokémon cheered.
Conclusion: Chandelure and Azumarill win.
In the stands, Hannah, positively jumping up and down, said "Big bro won! Big bro won!"
"Heh, calm down, but yeah, he did well," Ash said, and Hida responded "Heh, the energy of kids"
"Agreed" Ash replied. Both Nate and Rosa called "Congratulations Hugh", and Hugh waved to everyone as he returned to the waiting areas.
As Hugh returned to the stands, Nate stood up, and said "Well, I'm in the next group, so it's my turn to head down and get ready"
"Good luck Nate," the rest of the crew said, to which Nate nodded, and headed for the arena, just as Hugh returned.
"You did well big bro," Hannah said, to which Hugh replied "Thanks sis"
At the end of Group 8, Drayden stepped back to the arena and said "And with that, we now move on to the second round of Group 9, which includes the final of the Aspertia City trio, and the strategic trainer, Nate, as well as the Type Expert Trainer, Castor" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 9 Round 2 was between Swimmer Yen and Scientist Castor in a Double Battle. And despite a massive type disadvantage, Scientist Castor's Gengar and Skuntank defeated Swimmer Yen's Gliscor and Golurk, showing Castor's skill as a Type Expert Tournament trainer.
In the stands, Ash asked Hilbert "Another Type Expert Tournament trainer?" to which Hilbert replied by nodding.
"Yep" Hilbert replied, to which Ash nodded.
Back in the arena, the second battle of Group 9 Round 2 was between Swimmer Yen and Camper Yosef in a triple battle. And Swimmer Yen's Gliscor, Wailord and Golurk defeated Camper Yosef's Skarmory, Floatzel and Seviper.
Nate steps up to the arena and sees Scientist Celsius step up to the other side. The referee stepped up between them and said "The battle between Nate of Aspertia City and Scientist Celsius of Nimbasa City will now begin. The format clock will spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Single Battle.
"Weavile, let's go" Scientist Celsius called, and Weavile materialised. Nate nodded, then said "Lanturn, standby" and Lanturn materialised.
Battle: Lanturn VS Weavile
"Weavile, use Night Slash" Celsius called, and Weavile's claws were cloaked in anti-positive energy, and slashed Lanturn, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Respond Lanturn, Hydro Pump" Nate called, and Lanturn shot a blast of water at Weavile, inflicting Considerable damage.
"Night Slash, again Weavile" Celsius called, and Weavile again cloaked its claws with anti-positive energy, and slashed Lanturn, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Respond, use Thunderbolt" Nate called, and Lanturn unleashed a blast of electricity at Weavile, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Night Slash again" Celsius called, and Weavile's claws were cloaked in anti-positive energy, and slashed Lanturn, inflicting Moderate damage.
"End this Lanturn, use Signal Beam" Nate called, and Lanturn shot a teal and red beam of energy at Weavile, KO'ing it.
"Weavile is unable to battle, Lanturn wins. The victor is Nate of Aspertia City" the Referee said, and Nate celebrated with his Lanturn.
Conclusion: Lanturn wins.
In the stands, Hannah said "Woohoo, Nate won, that was cool" to which Ash replied "I suspect that Stockpile helped a lot with the battle"
"That's probably why he did it" Hugh replied, to which the others nodded.
Ash then said "And now it's Group 10, which is Maximus' group. He's the tied favourite for this tournament, along with me"
"Interesting. Have you two faced off before?" Hilbert asked, to which Ash nodded, and replied "Yep, the final battle of the Driftveil Tournament, it was me versus him, and I won, but narrowly. My Rufflet and his Vulaby started their rivalry then"
"Cool" Hilbert replied, to which Ash nodded.
At the end of Group 9, Drayden stepped back up to the arena and said "And now, we move on to Group 10, which includes one of the favourites of the tournament, Maximus" and the crowd cheered appreciatively, though there's the biggest cheer yet for Maximus in particular.
The first battle of Group 10 Round 2 was between Hiker Roddy and Scientist Levina, in a Rotation Battle. And it wasn't close, as Scientist Levina's Sawsbuck, Mamoswine and Lopunny thrashed Roddy's Throh, Wailord and Drapion.
And then, Maximus stepped up. And in the stands, Ash said "Here we go, Maximus' second-round battle. Let's see what he can do", to which the others nodded.
