Clash in the Cloister

(Ayla's POV)

*The Blue Typhoon was in front of the yellow vortex Shadow & the Crimson Egg disappeared into a few days ago. Right now, Knuckles was in the engine room, adjusting the. Master Emerald*

Knuckles:*off-screen* That should do it. Alright Tails, everything's tightened up and good to go. You can take off whenever you're ready.

Tails: Roger!

*We looked at the vortex & saw chunks of space rocks being sucked in*

Amy: So way beyond that gravity pool, there's an even deeper part of space called the Intergalactic Cloister?

Tails: I'm no expert, but it sounds pretty accurate to me.

*Cosmo nodded. Chris looked at my brother, who's been really quiet for the last few hours*

Chris: Something bothering you?

Sonic: I've been thinking, Everyone back home must be worrying an awful lot about you these days. I feel like we oughta figure out a way to get you back there, don't you think?

Ayla:*in her mind* That's true. Lindsey and Nelson must be going crazy with worry right now.

Chris: But how can you say that? You think I could just abandon you to battle those Metarex alone!? There's no way!

*We all looked at Chris. I could tell he was serious*

Sonic: Yeah, I guess your right.

Chris: Sure I am! And besides, don't forget I'm 18 now, which means I get to be your chaperone so you won't get into too much trouble.

Ayla: Excuse me?

Sonic: Chaperone?

Chris: That's right.

*All three of us laughed. Then it was time to get ready to travel to the Intergalactic Cloister. Chris & Knuckles were in the engine room. We headed straight into the vortex*

Tails: Typhoon Laser Shield, activate!

*A blue shield surrounded the Blue Typhoon as we entered*

Cream: 8, 7, 6, 5, 4, 3, 2, 1! Here we go!

*There was no turning back now*

*As we traveled into the vortex, I crossed my fingers, hoping nothing would happen to us*

Amy: We're gonna make it . . . Aren't we? *Chris nodded. suddenly, I noticed we were all looking distorted* Freaky.

Tails: I feel really weird.

Ayla: Me too.

Chris: What's going on?

*Things started to spin. Then everything went black. When I opened my eyes, I found myself lying on the floor*

Sonic: Everybody okay?

Cream:*holding Cheese* Cheese, wake up!

Amy: Where are we? *I looked out the window & saw we were in some kind of weird space* It looks so strange.

Tails: Strange isn't the word for it.

Cosmo: We're in the cloister.

Chris: We made it!

Sonic: Now we gotta get to the other side.

Ayla: And let's do it fast, this place is giving me the creeps.

*Tails started the engines & we took off*

Knuckles: This place is more twisted than I thought.

Tails: Twisted is right. That's space debris from surrounding planets left to float around in space

Amy: Looks gross if you ask me.

*Suddenly, we stopped*

Cream: What's the matter, Tails?

*Tails looked at the monitor*

Tails: I think we're trapped.

*I looked outside & found vines wrapped around the outside of the Blue Typhoon. We went outside & began cutting off the vines. I used my Ring Blades & everyone else used scythes*

Cosmo: My sister Galaxina and I used to love gardening. It's great therapy.

Knuckles: Yeah sure, cutting through unidentified space gunk really does it for me too.

Amy: Just shut it and cut it!

Ayla: We'd be done a lot faster if you'd quite complaining!

*I then looked at Tails & saw him using some kind of weed whacker*

Amy: What's that you got?

Tails: A laser power weed whacker. I made it when I used to help Ella with her gardening. Now tackling stubborn weeds is a breeze!

Amy: Well, hand it over.

*He looked at her worried*

Tails: Huh? But, I . . .

Chris:*off-screen* We've got a better idea.

*We looked & saw Chris & Sonic running towards us. Sonic was wearing new shoes. He jumped on the side of the ship, blades came out of the bottom of his shoes, & he glides across the side, cutting all the vines in his way*

Cosmo: He's using your power shoes to cut the vines!

*Chris nodded*

Ayla: I hope that doesn't scratch up the paint job.

*Soon, all the vines were off the ship. Sonic then landed on the ground in front to us*

Sonic: Well, that wasn't too hard.

Cream: They might not be so easy!

*I looked at where she was pointing & saw rocks that looked like asparagus rise out of the ground in front of us*

Amy: They just came out of nowhere.

Sonic: Another dirty Metarex trick!

Chris: Looks like we're not going anywhere. Great.

Tails: Chris is right, you guys, I don't see a way out of this. *he saw Cosmo looking worried & instantly changed his attitude* Wait a minute! We can't give up that easy! We just gotta put our heads together!

Cosmo: Yeah.

*Knuckles then jumped up towards the rocks with his fist ready, but it didn't do anything & he fell to the ground in pain*

Knuckles: Uh . . . That worked well.

*Suddenly, I heard a cracking sound*

Ayla: Uh . . . Do you guys hear that?

*We all looked ahead & saw one of the rocks falling over*

Cream: Chris, something's coming!

Chris: Yeah, something big.

*I looked closer & saw something running towards us*

Amy: We have to be ready!

Sonic: Yeah.

*I got out my Ring Blades as I saw a big yellow robot running towards us, knocking over any rocks in it's path. It stopped in front of us, laughing*

Knuckles: What's so funny, big guy!?

Yellow Zelkova: YOU WILL FIND OUT SOON ENOUGH, MY FRIEND.

Knuckles: Well, let's hear it, tough guy!

Yellow Zelkova: MY NAME IS YELLOW ZELKOVA. OUR MIGHTY RULER DARK OAK HAS SENT ME TO DESTROY THE TWO HEDGEHOGS! NOTHING WILL STAND IN THE WAY OF MY TASK! SONIC, AYLA, AND ALL WHO STAND WITH THEM ARE DOOMED! *He lifted a rock over his head & through it at us* CRUSH!

*Tails, Chris, Cream, & Cheese ran back to the Blue Typhoon while the rest of us stood our ground*

Sonic: Quick, get back inside the Typhoon!

Tails: Come on, guys!

*They went into the ship & Cosmo follow them. Amy just got out her hammer*

Ayla: Amy! That means you too!

Amy: But why!?

Sonic: This isn't just Eggman we're dealing with, now get inside!

Amy: If you say so.

*She ran after the others*

Sonic: This oughta be fun.

Ayla: You said it.

*Zelkova had lifted up another rock*

Knuckles: Looks like we're gonna need some ammunition.

*He jumped towards another rock & tried to pick it up, but it wouldn't budge. I face-palmed. How embarrassing*

Yellow Zelkova: laughing* YOU WEAKLING.

*He picked up another rock*

Knuckles: Whoa, he's not fooling around!

Ayla: What was your first clue, genius!

*Zelkova threw one of the rocks. We dodged & it hit the Blue Typhoon. He then spun the other one over his head*

Knuckles: Ready when you guys are!

Sonic: Then let's do this!

Ayla: All together!

*We ran towards Zelkova & dodged any rocks he threw at us. Knuckles then pulled out his Shovel Claws & sliced at the Metarex, but it didn't do a thing*

Yellow Zelkova: PERHAPS I SHOULD SHOW YOU HOW IT IS DONE.

Knuckles: Uh oh.

*Zelkova swung the rock like a baseball bat & knocked Knuckles away*

Sonic: Knuckles!

Ayla: No!

*Zelkova then came running towards us, holding the rock like a jousting Lance. He hit us both & we hit the side of the Blue Typhoon. We both slide down*

Ayla: Sonic, you okay?

Sonic: I'll live. You?

Ayla: I'm fine.

*Zelkova came back for another attack*

Knuckles: There's no way we can beat him, he's too strong for us!

Sonic: Big boy may be strong, but there's one thing he's not: speedy!

*Zelkova swung his rock at my brother, but missed*

Yellow Zelkova: HE HAS VANISHED.

*He looked up & saw Sonic standing on the other end of his rock*

Sonic: You gotta be quicker than that if you wanna keep up with me.

Yellow Zelkova: I'LL SHOW YOU, HEDGEHOG! *he swung the rock around, but Sonic held on. it reminded of when we fought Missile Wrist* YOU COME DOWN FROM THERE!

*He kept swinging the rock & hit the side of the ship a few times. Then Sonic hit the ground. Zelkova got ready to smash him*

Ayla: Sonic!

*I ran in front of my brother & activated my Ring Blades to make a shield, but Knuckles beat me to it. He caught the rock in both of his hands*

Knuckles: So, you think just because I'm little, I'm no match for you, is that it!?

Yellow Zelkova: I SHOULD THINK THAT WOULD BE OBVIOUS, MY FRIEND

Knuckles: Well, you're wrong, my friend!

Yellow Zelkova: WE SHALL SEE HOW WRONG I AM, AFTER I PULVERIZE YOU AND THE REST OF YOUR TINY TEAM! GIVE UP! YOU CANNOT WIN!

Knuckles: Okay.

*Knuckles threw the rock Zelkova was holding, with him still at the other end, & sent him flying. Zelkova landed on the ground & the rock landed on top of him*

Ayla:*in her mind* I'm never getting on Knuckles' bad side.

Knuckles: That about does it. Take that, Meta dope.

*Suddenly, the rock started moving. It went up & Zelkova came out of the hole underneath it*

Yellow Zelkova:*laughing* NOT QUITE, MY FRIEND!

Knuckles: But . . . But that can't be!

Yellow Zelkova: WE SHALL SEE WILL DESTROY WHO!

*He ran towards Knuckles & rammed into him, knocking him away*

Ayla: Knuckles!

*He stood up, but looked in pain. Zelkova then ran towards him*

Yellow Zelkova: PREPARE FOR YOUR DOOM!

*Sonic them jumped in & got him out of the way. I flew along side them on my board*

Knuckles: Right on time.

*Zelkova then then hit a rock & the ones behind it fell over like dominoes. We then landed on a cliff*

Sonic: This is gonna take some fancy footwork. *he whispered in both of our ears* Got it?

Ayla: Got it.

Knuckles:*chuckling* Got it.

*We all nodded at each other*

Yellow Zelkova: WHERE ARE THEY? HOW CAN I DESTROY THEM WHEN THEY MOVE SO QUICKLY?

Sonic: What's the matter, buddy?

Ayla: We thought you said it was big bad demolition time.

*Sonic then jumped off the cliff over his head & I followed him. We then landed next to the Blue Typhoon. Sonic then stuck out his leg & waved it*

Sonic: Come and get me.

*I stuck my tongue out at him*

Yellow Zelkova: YOU ASKED FOR IT! *he ran towards us, but we dodged & he it the Blue Typhoon, causing it to shake* SHOW YOURSELF, HEDGEHOGS!

Knuckles: Hey, over here!

*Zelkova then looked at Knuckles & saw him teasing him*

Yellow Zelkova: ARE YOU TOYING WITH ME!?

*He towards Knuckles, but he dodged & Zelkova hit the Blue Typhoon again, casing it to shake. Sonic then gave Knuckles a thumbs up*

Sonic: Let's do this, Knuckles! *We all nodded at each other. Sonic then waved Zelkova* Hey, what are you waiting for, big fella?

Knuckles: I think he's chicken.

Ayla: Buk! Buk! Buk!

Note: Chicken sounds, incase nobody gets it

Sonic: Come on, chicken boy, we're ready for ya!

Yellow Zelkova: YOU MOCK THE GREAT ZELKOVA! *he charged at all three of us, but we dodged every time. then all three of us were standing together* YOUR CLEVER TAUNTING IS COMING TO AN END!

Sonic, Knuckles, & Ayla: Yeah, whatever.

*We jumped up & he hit the ship again*

Yellow Zelkova: YOUR FOOLISHNESS GROWS MORE WEARISOME BY THE MINUTE. WILL YOU FIGHT ME OR NOT!?

Sonic: Sure, we'll fight ya.

Yellow Zelkova: THEN COME DOWN HERE!

Knuckles: I think we've kept him waiting long enough. What do you say?

Sonic: It's show time!

Ayla: Let's do it!

Yellow Zelkova: I'VE HAD ENOUGH OF YOUR GAMES. YOUR PATHETIC ATTEMPTS OF VICTORY ARE AT AN END!

Knuckles: Get ready, Tails!

Sonic: Time for the Sonic Power Cannon!

*Zelkova looked confused*

Yellow Zelkova: SONIC WHAT?

Knuckles: Later!

Ayla: You'll find out soon enough, big boy.

*We both went back inside. I went up to the bridge*

Yellow Zelkova:*off-screen* WHAT ARE YOU DOING!? YOU THINK YOU CAN FOOL ZELKOVA!?

Tails: Prepare the main cannon! *the cannon came out* Active energy link!

Knuckles:*off-screen* This is gonna be fun. *chuckling*

Tails: Increase pressure and main detonator! Main power level set. Okay guys, get in position.

Sonic:*off-screen* Here goes!

Tails: Deactivate safety trigger. Target locked on B for bullseye! Launch Sonic Power Cannon now! *Sonic was launched & Zelkova was sent flying* Direct hit!

Knuckles:*off-screen* Yep! Let's charge up. Master Emerald, can you hear me? Give us all your power!

*I could feel the power from the Master Emerald surging through the ship. Sonic then knocked away all the rocks on our way*

Sonic:*off-screen* Start the engine, Tails!

*As the rocks fell, we took off. I could see Yellow Zelkova below us*

Ayla: Bye bye, bad guy!

Yellow Zelkova: YOU WILL NOT GET FAR! THE GREAT MASTER DARK OAK HAS MORE IN STORE FOR YOU! MARK MY WORDS, WE WILL DESTROY YOU YET!

Knuckles:*off-screen* Sure, bring it on, meta loser, and we'll be waiting for you!

*Amy went outside the ship to meet Sonic*

Amy: Sonic! *he landed on the ship & she hugged him* Your okay.

*Soon, we were out of the valley of rocks*

Cream: Thanks to Sonic, Knuckles, and Ayla, we made it through that Cloister with barely a scratch!

Cheese: Chao-Chao!

Ayla: Guys! I see the exit! Straight ahead!

Sonic: Good going, gang!

*We went through the light & were out of the Cloister*
