Chapter 71 – Anuska Ywely
Ines was with Han and Chewie showing the other rooms, while Leia was admiring the busts of the many Jedi Masters that were part of the Jedi Council. She had stop in front to the Bust of her Biological father and was reading the info that appeared a long side of his hologram.
Luke came next to her, still holding a sleeping Ben in his arms, although his son was waking up once in a while.
"I didn't know he and his mother were slaves from Tatooine" she said turning off the information button.
"Our grandmother Leia" Luke told her making Leia face him
"Luke…" she started but Luke interrupted her
"I know. It is still very painful and I will not talk about it, but our grandmother had nothing to do with it. After all you don't mind about our mother's family"
"Our mother didn't do anything bad to anyone. She was a fighter and fought for the right thing. After all my father and her were friends and they were the one who started the Rebellion. So of course I want to know more about her and our grandparents. But I don't know if I ever can forgive him" Leia said making Luke nod
"I understand, but you are still mixing Darth Vader and Anakin Skywalker together"
"They are the same person Luke"
"Yes they are, but there was a reason why our father became Darth Vader and I already told you why. He is sorry for everything and the fact is he didn't appear to you anymore, he is respecting your opinion. But you can't live with that hate in your heart. Leia, our father is really sorry for everything he had done. And deep inside you know that is true. But he giving you time and I will do it too. I just think everyone needs a second chance"
Leia sighed. She knew Luke was right. But the pain was still there.
"By the way I'm glad that you and Ines are friends again" Luke said to her smiling
"Yes, I was horrible towards her and I love my nephew and my sister in law. And I feel so bad for the horrible things I said to her. And I'm happy for both of you and about this little cutie that is getting each day more beautiful" she said stroking his cheek as Ben opened his little eyes but rest his head under Luke's chin putting his left hand inside his mouth sucking it.
Ines arrived with Han and Chewie.
"Are you ready to go home?" Ines asked
"Yes, but do you guys want to have dinner in our apartment?" Leia asked Ines and Luke. "I'm cooking"
Luke looked at his sister
"You cook!" he said
"Yes, I'm good now" she smiled
"What time?" Ines asked
"1900 hours!" she said
"For me is fine. But I need to take a shower first, after all it was a long trip" Luke nod
"Me too kid"
"Then let's go all together" Ines said and they left the Temple heading towards their apartment building
"So how is everything lately?" Luke asked
"So far everything is calm and quiet. Which you know it is never a good thing. When everything is so calm for so long, it means something big is coming" Leia looked at them.
"That is not wrong. If the empire that are still out there is quiet, it means they are planning something big." Han said and Chewie growled
"You're right about that" Luke nod adjusting his son in his arms.
They were all talking about how the trip was, when they heard a female voice calling
"Leia?"
They all stopped and looked to the direction of the voice and saw a young woman, around Leia's age, with blonde hair and blue eyes walking in their direction.
The moment Ines saw the woman, she got tense. Luke felt that and he looked the woman in front of them
"Leia is really you" she said smiling
"Anuska?" Leia said and was surprise when Anuska pulled her into a hug.
"Long time no see" Anuska said and looked at Ines "Ines?"
"Hey Anuska" Ines said giving her a yellow smile. All of the sudden the memory of them back in Alderaan came into her head.
Flashback
Alderaan, 5 BBY:
A 13 years old Ines passed by, all dirty, from being with the guys playing a track game, sighing when she saw her friend Leia, with her two friends that she didn't like since they were always making fun of her for prefer being with boys than with them.
At the moment the three girls were by the lake, laying at the sun, taking advantage of the late fall sun and nice warm weather, before the winter arrived.
She try to pass by them without being notice but with no success
"Ines." Leia called her making Ines sigh
"Damn it" she said and looking back she walked towards them. "What is it?"
Once she got near them, the girls looked at her from head to toe, something that always upset Ines
"What happened to you? You are all dirty" Sandy asked.
"Like you don't know. She was with the guys as usual" said Anuska that didn't even look at her.
Sandy and Anuska were cousins and the daughters of the high society of Alderaan. They were also very pretty and for two 15 years old, they like to dress and act too sexy for their age which was something that Ines never understood.
"I like to be with the guys. I think it is way more productive that being laying down all day and spend money on clothes and stuff than can't save your life if you need it" Ines answered them, not caring who they were. She didn't have royal blood or "blue" blood, even if she lived in the Palace because her father, Ken Talia, was Bail Organa right hand, and they were treated like members of the royal family, she knew some of Leia's friends always saw them as servants, which deep inside she didn't mind. They were servants but they were honest.
"And that is why you will never find a guy who wants you" Sandy said looking up at her
"Please Sandy, like who on this galaxy will ever find a girl who likes to fight, sexy to the point of wanted to marry her and have kids with her? Which is sad, since you are not that ugly, if you knew how to dress and behave like a girl." Anuska replied laughing.
Leia looked at Ines. She loved Ines like a sister and she knew every time her friends said things like that, it hurt her even if she didn't show to them.
"Girls, you know the outside is not always important" Leia told them
"Leia, you are a princess, if you like or not you will have tones of guys after you, so you know how to act and dress. Maybe you should teach your friend to do the same"
"I like the way I am. And trust me, I will find a guy who like me for who I am as a person, and not for what I wear" Ines replied to them
"Come on Ines, who will be the guy from here that will have want to be with you. They see you like one of them" Sandy said
"And who told you he will be from here" Ines said starting to get annoyed
"One thing I know for sure. When I reach my 20's I will married the most important and famous guy in the galaxy and we will have two children: a boy and a girl" Anuska said smiling "Mark my words. Maybe I will hire you for my bodyguard, Ines" she laughed.
Ines rolled her eyes and without a word she left back to the palace.
Present Day:
"Anuska, what are you doing here?" Leia asked
"Well I need to do some stuff here in Coruscant and I decided to stay for a while. And what about you? I thought you were dead when I heard the news. I couldn't believe when I found out. I cried for so long"
"I know. I watched it myself." Leia told her "Well I participate in to the fall of the Empire, and now I'm a Senator here"
"I see" as she saw Leia left arm wrapping around Luke's right one "And I see you are very well. Hello I'm Anuska Ywely. I'm Leia childhood friend"
"Nice to meet you. I'm Luke Skywalker" he said making her gasped
"The famous Luke Skywalker. Well, well, well, Leia, how you were able to catch the most famous guy in the galaxy, and very handsome too?"
Ines turn to face Han and rolling her eyes she pretend to throw up, making Chewie laughed.
"And what about you Ines?"
Ines turn around to face her
"Me? What about me?"
"I see you didn't change much" she said with a smile that made Ines wish to throw her away with the force, but she calm herself down.
"Well Anuska I take that as complement. But are you alone? Where are your husband and kids. I mean I'm sure you are married by now right, if I remember correctly that was what you said when we were kids"
"Actually I'm single. I didn't find the right guy yet. But I see you didn't either" she told Ines, who really want to replied, when Ben woke up on Luke's arms and started to whimp, indicating it was his meal time.
"I see someone is hungry" Anuska said smiling at the baby
"Yes he is. My son is a ticking clock when the subject is his meal." Luke said smiling at his boy. "I wish I could help you sweetie but that is your mother department, not mine" he said kissing Ben's forehead and looking at Ines "Babe, our little guy is hungry"
Ines smiled and walked towards Luke and grabbing their baby, she rest him on her chest and started to rocking him gently
"I know. Mama will give your meal right now." she told and look at the others "I think I will go first, I can't breastfeed him in the middle of the road." and looking at Luke "Will you come or you will stay for a while"
"I'll be right after you, sweetheart" he told her leaning forward he kissed her.
"Okay. So dinner at your home at 1900, right?" she asked
"That is right" Han said
Turning to face Anuska, she said
"It was nice to see you Anuska. And you see a lot of thing change for me. That girl did find a guy who loved her for who she is and not only she is his wife but also have his baby. Meet mine and Luke's son: Ben Anakin Talia Skywalker and I wish I could talk more with you but he wants to eat. See you around"
And winking at others she left, leaving Anuska in shock
"Ines is married and a mother. I can't believe it"
"And a great Jedi too, believe it. And I did fell in love with her for the strong and amazing girl she is and yes she also is damn beautiful and sexy and I'm so lucky to say she is mine. Well I really need to go. I need to change clothes and being with my wife and son. Nice to meet you too" he said and looking at Leia and Han and Chewie "See you guys later"
And he left with a smile on his face. He saw Ines flashback in his head and deep inside he was happy that Ines show that girl how wrong she was about her. Looking at the time, he saw that he had 5 hours until dinner time at his sisters, so he had plenty of time to be with her and their boy.
