The Pier Diner
"How is the happy couple's honeymoon going so far?" Irene asks Kyle, Lucas and Bianca.
"Brax might have been annoyed about how long they were going for, but I don't think he cares about that now. They're having a great time already and Ricky thanked us about a hundred times when they called us last night." Kyle smirks.
"I think they loved that it wasn't just their honeymoon, it was something from all of the boys as an appreciation gift for everything Brax has done for them." Bianca says. "Apparently Ricky cried when she read the letter Lucas wrote from them all explaining the reasons behind their choices."
"I just wanted them to know that we're grateful for everything they've done for us, especially Brax. He could have told me to go home with Tyler in the beginning, but he gave me a chance and this place makes me really happy." Lucas says. "We just wanted Brax to know that we're grateful for what he does for us when he doesn't have to. We wouldn't be here if it wasn't for him."
"That's so sweet!" The girls smile.
"There was something else in the letter that Heath put in, but we're not allowed to know what it was." Kyle says, glancing at Bianca.
"You can know part of it, but you won't find out everything for a while longer yet." Bianca smiles at them all. "We told them the gender of our baby as Ricky wanted to throw us a gender reveal party for everyone in a couple months."
"A couple months?" Kyle moans, not knowing if he could take Heath's teasing for a couple more months over whether they'd have a niece or nephew. "Why can't we know now?"
"Because Heath is having a lot of fun with this secret. You'll be fine waiting longer." Bianca laughs.
"I bet you've told more than Brax and Ricky." Lucas says as she stares at her, noticing her glance at Irene. "You have!"
"Irene, you know you're our favourite diner lady, and we're grateful for you letting me stay for a bit." Kyle says.
"That won't work with me darl. My lips are sealed." Irene says, now seeing why Heath enjoyed keeping this from his brothers.
"Who else knows?" Kyle asks as Casey walks in with Denny.
"No one." Bianca says. "And it's staying that way."
"What's going on?" Casey asks.
"Irene, Ricky and Brax know the gender of Bianca and Heath's baby." Lucas says.
"What?" Casey exclaims. "When are we going to find out?"
"In a couple months apparently." Kyle says.
"I bet it was Heath's idea hiding it from us for so long. Where is he today anyway?" Casey asks.
"Behind you." Bianca says as he walks in, straight over to her.
"Alright boys." Heath smiles, getting stared at by his three brothers. "Right, what's been said?"
"You're hiding the gender of our niece or nephew from us and we don't know why." Casey says. "Irene, Brax and Ricky know, so why can't we as well?"
"Because seeing you all suffer like this is making me very happy." Heath grins. "But enough of that. Me and Bianca are going into Yabbie Creek to the estate agents, so we'll see you later."
"Yeah, we better get to work." Kyle says, say bye before they leave the diner.
Surf Club - Angelo's
"You can't work. Brax has made it extremely clear that I'm not allowed to let you on shift unless it's written down on the rota." Lucas says.
"Come on, it's not like he's going to find out. And I'm the main manager, so you can't tell me no." Kyle says.
"Brax told me he's checking the time sheets when he gets back, and he actually put me in charge while he's gone. I'm sure he's got other ways of finding out as well." Lucas says. "And don't you have a counselling session soon?"
"Not for a couple hours." Kyle says, having a feeling that Lucas wouldn't let him on shift no matter how hard he tried. "How about a film night tonight? Tyler said he found a few he wanted to watch and they sound quite good."
"Yeah, that sounds great but I'm on close tonight." Lucas says.
"Brax wouldn't mind if you were to shut this place up a bit early. I've done it a lot and make up for it on weekends when it's busier." Kyle says.
"Okay, as long as it will be fine. Where would we have it?" Lucas asks.
"Irene was having Leah, Marilyn and Roo over tonight, so how about I stay another night at home?" Kyle suggests. "I was thinking about spending more time there as I feel ready to come home, I just don't want to rush it."
"That's a good idea. And it's fine if you want to do it that way, you're in control of it. It would be good for us all to spend time together at home as well, I missed having you around." Lucas says.
"You've seen me everyday." Kyle smirks.
"Yes but you're my triplet, so that is my excuse." Lucas grins. "Plus Heath was really bossy last night and we need more backup."
"Surely Bianca isn't letting him be bossy?" Kyle frowns.
"She wasn't, but then she was feeling tired so went to bed early. I think he's capable of a lot more, so if you're around, he might go easy on us. I heard Brax warning him against you being put under any stress at all while he's away." Lucas says.
"That sounds about right." Kyle rolls his eyes. "I told Brax I was starting to feel better, I don't need people going easy around me."
"I get where you're coming from, but I can also see where Brax is coming from." Lucas says.
"What was that about me being your triplet?"
"You might be starting to feel better, but you don't need anything getting in the way of that. Just because you think you can start doing more to get back into a normal routine, it doesn't mean you should be forcing it so soon. You don't want to ruin all this hard work and be back where you were in the beginning." Lucas says, knowing they'd all be there to help this time.
"You sound like my counsellor." Kyle smirks. "You don't have to worry, I'm not going to force myself into anything. I'll only be staying at home a couple extra days a week until I'm ready to properly come back. But I haven't felt this good for ages."
"That's great to hear and you've got all of us no matter what." Lucas smiles.
Braxton House
"Hey, have you seen a woman with any of the triplets?" Casey asks as he was in the garden with Heath, so they wouldn't hear them.
"No, why?" Heath asks.
"Not long after you guys left the diner, a woman came in looking for them. She never said who she was or why she was looking for them, but it was weird cause she said she wouldn't be around for another few days and to not tell them." Casey says.
"Okay, I'll look into it. Don't mention it to them yet either." Heath says as they walk inside. "Boys, wanna go for a surf?"
"Sure, I'm up for it." Tyler nods, not having been for one in a few days.
"I don't surf." Kyle says.
"We'll change that, you can use the big fellas board." Heath says.
"I said no, Heath." Kyle says a lot firmer, not wanting surfing to be one of the new changes he had.
"Well do you want to come down to the beach then so we can hang after? Or are you too embarrassed to be seen with your big bro?" Heath asks.
"Fine, I guess I could hang down on the beach, as long as you don't surf for hours." Kyle says, knowing they lost track of time a lot when surfing.
"I doubt we'll be out there that long. It depends how good the surf is." Heath says. "You sure you'll be alright by yourself?" Heath asks, not wanting him to be alone.
"I'll join you, I don't feel like surfing today." Lucas says to Kyle.
"Cool, that's great." Heath says.
"When was the last time you even went surfing?" Kyle asks as Tyler, Heath and Casey go to get their surfing gear.
"Uh… I can't really remember but I think it was a couple weeks ago. It's fun but it's not my thing. I'd prefer hanging it with my little bro over surfing anyway." Lucas grins.
"Don't you dare call me little bro! I doubt I was even born that long after you." Kyle shakes his head.
"Well I was born six minutes after Tyler, so you can't have been that far behind me." Lucas shrugs. "It would have been nice to know, but I don't think it really matters when we know each other now. It feels like I've known you forever."
"Let's go." Heath says as they grab their boards, Lucas and Kyle following them out.
