Then the second battle was on, and Maximus stepped up to face Youngster Allan, and when the Referee stepped up, he said "The battle between Maximus of Nacrene City and Youngster Allan of Castelia City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the clock spun and landed on Single Battle.
"Gigalith, let's go," Allan said, and Gigalith materialised. Maximus nodded and responded "Simipour, let's unleash our power" and Simipour materialised.
Battle: Simipour VS Gigalith
"Alright. Simipour, use Surf" Maximus called, and Simipour unleashed a wave of water at Gigalith, inflicting Significant damage.
"Gigalith, retaliate with Stone Edge" Allan replied, and Gigalith summoned, then threw a bunch of sharp stones at Simipour, inflicting Significant damage.
"End this Simipour, use Surf again" Maximus called, and Simipour sent another wave of water at Gigalith, KO'ing it"
"We won Simipour, we won," Maximus said, and both he and Simipour celebrated.
Conclusion: Simipour wins.
The final battle of Group 10 was between Hiker Roddy and Scientist Levina, in a Rotation Battle. And it wasn't close, as Scientist Levina's Sawsbuck, Mamoswine and Lopunny thrashed Roddy's Throh, Wailord and Drapion. After this round, Maximus was the only one in the group with two wins from two battles. Sunan being the only one who has two losses.
In the stands, Hilda commented "That was a surprisingly short battle"
"Yeah. I think we can see that Maximus is going to be a big threat" Nate said, to which Ash replied "He's the tied favourite with me for a reason"
After Group 10 finishes, Drayden stepped up again, and said "And that concludes Group 10. With the start of the second round of Group 11 trainer battles, which includes Clerk Brooke and Policeman Bobmosa" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 11 Round 2 was between Worker Kaden and Pilot Larry in a Double battle. And after a big battle, Larry's Tyranitar and Alomomola defeated Kaden's Krookodile and Weavile.
The second battle of Group 11 Round 2 was between Clerk Brooke and Baker Liz in a Triple Battle. And after a close battle, Brooke's Stoutland, Eelektross and Heracross defeated Liz's Audino, Scolipede and Cryogonal, securing victory for Brooke.
The final battle of Group 11 Round 2 was between Ace Trainer Yareli and Policeman Bobmosa in a Triple Battle. And after a fairly rough battle, Policeman Bobmosa's Arcanine, Sawk and Aggron defeated Yareli's Ferrothorn, Floatzel and Glaceon, securing victory for Bobmosa.
At the end of Group 11, Drayden stepped back up to the arena, and said "And with that, Group 11 is complete. Now we move on to the second round of battles for the trainers of Group 12, good luck" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 12 Round 2 was between Youngster Franco and Pokéfan Tristan in a double battle. And in another blowout, Pokéfan Tristan's Gliscor and Musharna thrashed Youngster Franco's Lopunny and Braviary.
The second battle of Group 12 Round 2 was between Beauty Karlie and Black Belt Minory in a Triple Battle. And in a close battle, Black Belt Minory's Drapion, Krookodile and Tangrowth defeated Beauty Karlie's Sawk, Camerupt and Gothitelle, anchoring Beauty Karlie to the bottom of Group 2.
The third battle of Group 12 Round 2 was between Lass Jocelyn and Guitarist Nokko in a Triple Battle. And in a blowout, Lass Jocelyn's Mantine, Whimsicott and Raticate defeated Guitarist Nokko's Drifblim, Lopunny and Whimsicott, keeping Lass Jocelyn at the top of Group 12.
In the stands, Ash stood up at the end of Group 12 and said "Alright, it's time for my Group battle", to which Hilda replied "Good luck", which Delia adds, and Ash smiled, replied "Thanks" before he departed for the arena.
At the end of Group 12, Drayden stepped up and said "And now, for the second to last group. And this one includes the other favourite for the tournament crown, Kanto native Ash Ketchum, as well as Type Expert trainer Veteran Vito, and Driftveil City trainer Roughneck Rylan" and the crowd cheered appreciatively, though an enormous cheer was once again given for Ash, due to his favourite status for the Tournament, equal with Maximus.
Back in the arena, Ash steps up to the arena, facing Veteran Vito. Then, the referee stepped up and said "The battle between Ash of Pallet Town and Vito of Castelia City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the clock spin, and landed on Rotation Battle.
"Forretress, Scolipede and Galvantula, let's go" Vito called, and Forretress, Scolipede and Galvantula materialise.
"OK, Emboar, Haxorus and Braviary, I choose you" Ash called, and Emboar, Haxorus and Braviary materialise.
Battle: Forretress, Scolipede and Galvantula VS Emboar, Haxorus and Braviary
Vito rotated to Forretress, then said: "Forretress, use Spikes", while Ash switched to Emboar, and called "Emboar, use Flare Blitz" and as Forretress sent a bunch of orange spikes around the ground, Emboar cloaked itself with fire and crashed into Forretress, reducing it to Sturdy and taking Moderate recoil.
Ash then switched to Braviary, and called "Now Braviary, use Defog" and Braviary flapped its wings, and sky blue energy picked up the spikes and dispersed them.
Vito then called "Forretress, use Explosion" and Forreress expelled a massive amount of white energy, explosively, inflicting Significant damage, though KO'ing Forretress. Vito then rotated to Galvantula, while Ash rotated to Haxorus.
"Galvantula, use Hidden Power" Vito called, and Galvantula shot icy orbs of energy at Haxorus, inflicting Considerable damage.
"That's an Ice-type Hidden Power. Alright. Let's see how much this does, Haxorus, use Brick Break" Ash called, and Haxorus' claws glowed with draconic energy, and slashed Galvantula, inflicting Significant damage.
"Galvnatula, use Hidden Power again" Vito called, and Galvantula shot icy orbs of energy at Haxorus, inflicting considerable damage.
"Haxorus, end this with Dragon Claw" Ash responded, and Haxorus' claws were cloaked with draconic energy, and slashed Galvantula, KO'ing it.
Vito then rotated to his Scolipede, while Ash rotated to Braviary.
"Scolipede, use Rock Slide" Vito called, and Scolipede generated, then shot the rocks at Braviary, almost KO'ing it.
'End this Braviary, use Brave Bird" Ash called, and Graviary glowed with Sky Blue energy and crashed into Scolipede, KO'ing it in one hit, and KO'ing itself in recoil.
"Scolipede, Forretress, Galvantula and Braviary are unable to battle, Emboar and Haxorus win. The victor is Ash of Pallet Town" the Referee said, and Ash, Emboar and Haxorus celebrate.
Conclusion: Emboar and Haxorus win.
The second battle of Group 13 Round 2 was between Guitarist Ren and Lass Indy in a Triple Battle. And in a close battle, Guitarist Ren's Metagross, Wailord and Maractus defeated Lass Indy's Roserade, Aggron and Flygon, keeping Guitarist Ren in contention for passage to the Knockout stage of Group 13.
The final battle of Group 13 Round 2 was between Roughneck Rylan and Backpacker Berke in a Rotation Battle. And in a close battle, Roughneck Rylan's Sigilyph, Starmie and Cofagrigus defeated Backpacker Berke's Zangoose, Sawsbuck and Zoroark, keeping Backpacker Berke at the bottom of Group 13.
At the end of Group 13, Drayden stepped up and said "And now for the second round of trainer battles for the final Group, Group 14, which includes Type Expert Tournament trainer Veteran Impera, and Driftveil Tournament Trainer Veteran Theodora" and the crowd clapped appreciatively.
"You did well there Ash, will Braviary be OK?" Hilda asked, to which Ash replied "Yeah, Haxorus will be fine"
"Great work, you're 2-from-2 now," Hannah said, to which Ash replied "We all are. This hasn't proven to be easy, but it's been fun"
"Good to hear" Delia replied.
The first battle of Group 14 Round 2 was between Beauty Hannah and Veteran Impera in a Rotation Battle. And it wasn't that close, as Veteran Impera's Sharpedo, Scrafty and Krookodile easily defeated Hannah's Leafeon, Yanmega and Heatmor, keeping Veteran Impera at the top of Group 14.
The second battle of Group 14 Round 2 was between Backpacker Butch and Veteran Theodora in a Single Battle. And it wasn't close, as Veteran Theodora's Lilligant crushed Backpacker Butch's Mienshao, keeping Veteran Theodora at the top of Group 14.
The final battle of Group 14 Round 2 was between Ace Trainer Seamus and Roughneck Gavin in a Single Battle. And after a close battle, the power of normal Pokémon over Ditto won, as Seamus' Swanna defeated Seamus' Ditto,
Then, Drayden stepped up and said "And with that, the second round of battles is complete. Now, it is also the end of the day, so rest up, and get ready for the Third Round of Group battles tomorrow" and the crowds cheered, then everyone started heading off.
Ash and Hilda reached the Trainers Quarters, Ash said "Vito proved a challenge, which was really good to see, keep me on my toes a bit, and get some good practice for later battles", to which Hilda nodded.
"Yeah. So, have you thought about what you're going to do after the Tournament?" she asked, to which Ash replied "I haven't given it much thought, but maybe we could travel around the remaining areas of the Region"
"That'd be cool, though there isn't a huge amount left" Hilda replied. After dinner, Ash and Hilda spent some time working on strategies before heading to their rooms for the night.
The following morning, Ash and Hilda meet up after breakfast.
"Well, Round 3 is ready to go. We're almost halfway through the Group stages" Ash said, to which Hilda nodded, and replied "Yep"
"Let's continue to do our best, and show how far we've both come" Ash replied. Hilda nodded, and they headed for the stadium.
Over the next hour, the Stadium filled, including
with their fellows Nate, Rosa and Hugh, as well as Delia, Professor Oak, Hilbert, Hilda's mom and Professor Juniper.
Drayden then stepped up and said "Good morning, and welcome back to the tournament, we pick up today with the Third Round of trainers seeking to get into the Knockout Stage of the Unova League Tournament. Good Luck everyone" and the crowd cheered.
The first battle of Round 3 Group 1 was between Waiter Andrew and Backpacker Mashashi in a Double Battle. And after a close battle, Waiter Andrew's Zoroark and Probopass defeated Mashasi's Haxorus and Slaking, pushing Andrew to near the top of his Group.
The second battle of Round 3 Group 1 was between Youngster Charlie and Pokéfan Anupa in a Rotation Battle. And in a close battle, Youngster Charlie's Accelgor, Skarmory and Ninetales defeated Pokéfan Anupa's Leafeon, Arcanine and Sigilyph, anchoring Charlie to the top of his group.
The third battle of Round 3 Group 1 was between Clark Naomi and Lass Kelly in a Single Battle. And after a close battle, Lass Kelly's Arcanine defeated Clerk Naomi's Grumpig, anchoring Clerk Naomi to the bottom of her Group.
Drayden stepped back up to the stage, and said "And that concludes Group 1. Now we continue with the third round of battles for trainers of Group 2, which includes the Nacrene City hotshot, Trip, and the Type Expert Tournament trainer Bonnie" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Round 3 Group 2 is between Doctor Maxie and Hiker Euro in a Rotation Battle. And after a close battle, Doctor Maxie's Gothitelle, Haxorus and Sunflora defeated Hiker Euro's Grumpig, Audino and Sawk, keeping Doctor Maxie in touch with the top of his Group.
The second battle of Round 3 Group 2 is between Pokéfan Makayla and Ace Trainer Bonnie in a Double Battle. And after a pretty close battle, Ace Trainer Bonnie's Weavile and Houndoom defeated Pokéfan Makayla's Bisharp and Zangoose, keeping Ace Trainer Bonnie in touch with the top of her Group.
Trip was in the final battle of Round 3 Group 2. As he stepped up, he saw Socialite Wilia on the other side. The Referee then stepped up and said "The battle between Trip of Nuvema Town and Socialite Wilia of Striaton City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Single Battle.
And both Trip and Socialite Wilia called "Vanilluxe, let's go" and both their Vanilluxe materialised.
Battle: Vanilluxe VS Vanilluxe
"Vanilluxe, use Mirror Shot" Wilia called, and her Vanilluxe shot a silver ball of energy at Trip's Vanilluxe, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Respond Vanilluxe, use Mirror Coat" Trip called, and Vanilluxe shot a mirror of psionic energy at Wilia's Vanilluxe, inflicting Significant damage.
"Now Vanilluxe, use Ice Beam" Trip called, and his Vanilluxe shot a beam of cold at Wilia's Vanilluxe, inflicting Minor damage.

At the end of Group 2, Rosa stood up and said "Alright, it's time for my next Group battle" to which everyone said "Good Luck Rosa" and after hugging Hannah, Hugh and Nate, Rosa headed for the arena.
At the end of Group 2, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 2. Now we continue with the third round of battles for trainers of Group 3, which includes the female member of the Aspertia City Trio, Rosa, and the next Type Expert Trainer, Homer" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.
The first battle of Group 3 Round 3 was between Psychic Ferly and Beauty Centsa in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Psychic Ferly's Aggron defeated Beauty Centsa's Flygon, keeping Psychic Ferly in touch with the top of Group 3.
The second battle of Group 3 Round 3 was between Lass Uno and Hiker Homer in a Single Battle. And in an easy victory, Hiker Homer's Gastrodon thrashed Lass Uno's Seismitoad, keeping Homer near the top of Group 2.
Then Rosa stepped up, and she saw Hiker Fidel was on the other side. The Referee stepped up in the middle and said "The battle between Rosa of Aspertia City and Hiker Fidel of Icirrus City will now begin. The format clock will spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Double Battle.
"Arcanine, Crobat, let's go" Fidel called, and Arcanine and Crobat materialised.
"Seismitoad, Eelektross, let's put on a show" Rosa called, and Seismitoad and Eelektross materialise.
Battle: Seismitoad and Eelektross VS Arcanine and Crobat
"Crobat, use Wing Attack" Fidel called, and Crobat cloaked its wing with sky blue energy, and struck Seismitoad, inflicting Minor damage.
"Arcanine, use Outrage" Fidel called, and Arcanine unleashed a rampage while covered in Draconic energy, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Seismitoad, respond with Earth Power" Rosa called, and Seismitoad unleashed a burst of earthly Light Brown energy at Arcanine, inflicting Severe damage.
"Now Eelektross, end that Arcanine with Wild Charge" Rosa called, and Eelektross cloaked itself with electricity and charged into Arcanine, KO'ing it and taking Slight recoil.
"Crobat, respond, use Cross Poison" Fidel called, and Crobat's wings were covered in poisonous purple energy and slashed Elektross, inflicting Minor damage.
"Seismitoad, use Hydro Pump" Rosa called, and Seismitoad shot a blast of water at Crobat, dealing Considerable damage.
"Now end this Eelektross, use Wild Charge" Rosa called, and Eelektross cloaked itself with electricity and charged into Crobat, KO'ing it and taking Minor recoil.
"Arcanine and Crobat are unable to battle, Eelektross and Seismitoad win. The victor is Rosa of Aspertia City" the Referee said, and both Rosa and her Pokémon celebrate.
Conclusion: Seismitoad and Eelektross wins.
In the stands, Hannah said "Yay! Rosa won", to which Hugh replied "Yeah, she did, that was a pretty intense battle, but Rosa knew what she was doing"
"Heh, you three have learned a lot of each other, and got yourselves stronger as a result, so it shouldn't be that much of a surprise" Professor Juniper responded, to which both Hugh and Nate nodded, and said "Thanks Professor"
At the end of Group 3, Rosa returned, and Hugh said "Professor Juniper just said that we all learned a lot of each other, and got stronger as a result", to which Rosa replied by beaming at Professor Juniper, and said "Aw, thanks"
"Heh, no worries Rosa, it is true" Professor Juniper responded as Rosa took a seat.
At the end of Group 3, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 3, I hope they put on a good show. Now on to the third round of battles for trainers of Group 4, which includes the Type Expert Trainer Veteran Walter" to the applause of the crowd.
The first battle of Group 4 Round 3 is between Worker Hernando and Clerk Lester in a Double Battle. And in a close battle, Worker Hernando's Ferrothorn and Vaporeon defeated Clerk Lester's Ninetales and Toxicroak, keeping Clerk Lester near the bottom of Group 4.
The second battle of Group 4 Round 3 is between Pilot Harley and Veteran Walter in a Triple Battle. And Veteran Walter showed his skill as a Type Expert trainer, his Heracross, Galvantula and Scolipede defeated Pilot Harley's Magnezone, Garbodor and Audino, keeping Walter at the top of Group 4.
The final battle of Group 4 Round 3 is between Beauty Chloe and Ace Trainer Alison in a Triple Battle. And Ace Trainer Alison showed her skill, and her Magmortar, Metagross and Drapion defeated Beauty Chloe's Mienshao, Lapras and Umbreon, staying in the logjam for 2nd in Group 4.
At the end of Group 4, Hilda stood up and said "Well, the next Group is mine, so I'd better get down there"
"Good luck Hilda" everyone replied, to which Hilda smiled and nodded, then headed for the arena, waving to everyone as she did so.
