The first ten seconds of music simply have a black screen with four pictures that flash briefly in a small square in the middle, one after another: a pair of knives, a rope, a pair of feet, a limp hand. Then, as the beat of the music properly kicks in, the screen goes completely black, and the words 'AND SO IT BEGINS' appear in colourful criss-crossing lines in a similar manner to the first ending, before the letters retract and the black fades to show a number of computer screens all hooked up. At first they show grey static, but then the camera zooms into one of the screens and a scene starts to become clearer, until the view shifts so that the camera is directly in the scene-that of an empty classroom, just as the words begin.

The camera lingers on the classroom, which looks half-bathed in darkness, when suddenly, there is a bright flash, casting the picture with a neon-blue filter. This filter also reveals the presence of two boys sitting together at one desk-one boy, with a cloak and a silk hat, sits on the desk while a more ordinary looking boy with messy, spiky hair sits at the desk more normally, though his hand covers that of the silk hat boy, and the two look at each other. The scene lasts long enough for the two of them to turn towards the camera, and for the names 'EMLYN GRACE, SHSL FABULIST' and 'SHUUHEI MURAYAMA, SHSL CRIME JOURNALIST' appear in stark black letters next to silk-hat boy and his ordinary companion briefly, before the neon-blue filter disappears, taking with it the two boys and showing an empty dark room again. Suddenly, though, there is another flash, this of bright orange, and there are two new figures in the room-a girl with curly hair that seems dark even under the filter, pouting as she stares at the board, and a cutesy looking girl wearing a frilly choker and casual jumper-dress hovering by the teacher's desk. They, too, look up in surprise, being respectively declared as 'TAMA ITSUKI, SHSL ROLLERBLADER' and 'MAI ISOBE, SHSL NAIL ARTIST'. Then, they disappear with the filter, and the room once again looks normal. Dark, and empty.

The scene switches to what looks like a small cafeteria-type area, also half-dark. The neon-filter that is cast over it is green, and it reveals three boys and a girl, each at a separate table. One boy is wearing a hoodie and frowning at something in the distance, the black lettering declaring him as 'SATOSHI KUSANAGI, SHSL LUCKY STUDENT', another with many piercings taps at the table absently and is identified as 'HIRO KITA, SHSL GLASSBLOWER' , while the very tired girl is 'INORI KASABA, SHSL GENEAOLOGIST' and the final boy, scowling and haughty, is revealed as 'MASAO KISHITANI, SHSL FOOD CRITIC'. The green disappears, making the cafeteria empty and dark once again, and the camera lingers for a blink before the scene changes.

The next scene shows another empty classroom, this one with tables overturned and chairs askew. The screen flashes a bright baby-pink, adding one girl with extremely long-straight hair to the scene, kneeling by the table and labelled as 'MINORI SATSUKI, SHSL MODERATOR', and once again once the pink filter disappears the classroom is shown empty before the scene changes to a small room with two beds on it. The filter that flashes over this turns the room a bright yet sickly yellow, showing a girl sitting cross-legged on one bed and a boy lying down on the other, head propped under his folded arms. The girl is identified as 'MAWA KASAI, SHSL CHEERLEADER' and the boy as 'TERUYA KASAI, SHSL SPRINTER (REPLACEMENT)', before they disappear with the yellow.

An empty stretch of corridor is shown next, and when the screen flashes red, three boys are shown. One is bespectacled with thick hair, leaning against the wall, identified as 'ICHIRO TOKIGAWA, SHSL HEART SURGEON'. 'RYUUNOSUKE UCHIDA, SHSL SHOEMAKER' is the somewhat taller youth adjusting his shoelaces, while 'SOUTAROU LEE, SHSL STUNT DOUBLE' waits nearby impatiently. The red flashes away, and then after a flicker of empty corridor once again, the screen floods with turquoise and the familiar figures of 'LEAH OKAWA, SHSL GRAPHOLOGIST' and 'AI FURUKAWA, SHSL NETBALLER' appear to be looking around them furtively, arms linked.

The next darkened scene is that of a pair of doors. They are closed, heavy looking with a bar across them to push it open, and it is not clear where they lead. The scene flashes magenta, showing a girl that is clearly Minah, albeit with her back turned. She turns to look at the camera, furtive expression on her face, but rather than simply disappearing, the magenta fades away, and Minah remains. She sighs and takes a deep breath, and all of a sudden, the scene brightens, as if lights have been turned on, rendering her in full colour. After another moment, she turns away, and pushes open the door.

The camera quickly flashes through all the other scenes-corridor, dorm, classroom, canteen, classroom in reverse, except now they are in full colour and with all the students present as they start to move, all heading to the same point. Some are walking fast, others slower, but all are purposeful, and all are apprehensive.

Save me, save me, into an unknown country I dive.
They all reach the doors that Minah had disappeared into moments ago, and when they file in it is revealed to be a somewhat smaller, shoddier version of a gymnasium. They all file in, sticking to groups of friends or other relationships-Emlyn and Shuuhei, the Kasai twins with Minah, Leah and Ai, Ichiro, Satoshi and Soutarou, the others dotted around.

The camera pans around them to capture their various expressions of concern, suspicion and other related feelings, before panning across to the stage, where Monobear is sitting on his podium, looking pleased with himself. The scene then turns to show the whole class standing together in the auditorium, Minah roughly at the front and center of their little group, staring in horror.
The camera zooms out slightly until the scene shrinks and shows itself displayed on the same screens shown at the beginning of the song. It remains like this for a moment until abruptly, the screens fill with static. Thus, the song ends.
The translations came from subtitles on the version of this song uploaded by 'Just passing by, don't mind me' on YouTube, with some modifications by me to make it flow better. Though the lyrics have a certain bleak nonsense to them so said mods didn't really do much.
Anyway, if this story was a more typical killing game one (in that it took place entirely in the killing game with one POV most of the time) then this'd probably serve as a good opening song for that. But obviously this story is what it is, and thus it's an ED song :)
