Pokemon: Alola Journey VOL 1 - The Trials of Sarah

In the Alola Region, Sarah attends her first day at the Pokemon School where she meets Ash, Pikachu and their friends. With her pokemon, Sarah will take on the Island Challenge along with Ash, but while doing the Island Challenge, Sarah discovers there may be more to her than meets the eye.

73. Chapter 72: Battling the Beast Within

Another day, another beautiful morning comes to Melemele Island with the sun peeking through the curtains in Sarah's bedroom. It was Wednesday morning and while she was sleeping, Sarah awoke to a familiar little sheep nuzzling her and calling her with a cute little "baa". She then noticed Wooloo and Ponyta cutely smiling at her as if they had woken up and were waiting for her to get out of bed so they can play.

"Baaaaa!"

"Neigh!" they said cutely.

"Mmm, morning, you guys..." she replied with a tired smile before she yawned.

As she got her bearings and Wooloo and Ponyta could get off the bed to let her join them, after changing her clothes and brushing her teeth, they could hear excited barks and meows coming from the main level of the house. When they went downstairs to see who was making all the racket, they found Yamper and Skitty running around her adopted parents' room like crazy before they jumped on the master bed multiple times.

"Yam, Yam! Yam, Yam, Yamper, Yamper, Yam! Yam!" barked Yamper excitedly.

"Nya-Nya! Nya, Nya, Nya, Nya! Nya-Nya-Nya-Nya-Nya!" meowed Skitty, wanting Nikki and James to get up and play.

"What are you two doing?" giggled Sarah, unable to help herself after seeing her Galar Puppy and Kitten Pokemon wanting to play with her adopted parents so badly.

"Nngh, Skitty, what are-ah!" mumbled Nikki, annoyed as she slammed her pillow down on her head to block out Skitty's excited meowing.

"Mmmm... Okay, okay, we're up," grumbled James, the Galar Puppy Pokemon's yipping getting through to him. "Honestly, Ponchita. Someday, you'll have to teach them self-control if this is what they're going to do to us and any guests visiting us any day."

"Sorry. Okay, guys, let them sleep," Sarah finally said, wanting Skitty and Yamper to stop as she gently grabbed them and petted their heads to calm them down. "You're not gonna do them any favors by doing that."

"Now, honey, don't you have school today?" asked Nikki, trying to sleep again.

"Yeah, we'll leave soon once I got my stuff and keep these two wrangled. Bye," she replied, leaving her parents to sleep again.

"See ya when you get home," sighed James as he and Nikki fell asleep again.

But, as she got her stuff together and she, her Pokemon (barring Eternatus who was still sleeping and brooding in the Pokemon Dragon Heart Dome), her dragons, and Solar (while she's riding on him in his Solar Rider Mode) and they made their way to the Pokemon School, what neither of them realized was that the little princess and a select few of her Pokemon were about to embark on their strangest and yet wildest adventure yet. One that would pit them against an Ultra Beast that'll prove to be a serious threat to everyone and reveal to her untold mysteries about different dimensions and universes.

The trek to the Pokemon School was peaceful as it is and uneventful. However, one thing that was on Silvally's mind and a few others in the family was the Alola League; despite Guzma's prior misgivings about it in regards to his own strengths and questionable reasons following their recent confrontation with him, he was curious to see how they were all going to break through the competition upon its completion.

"All right, Mother, have you thought about it yet?" he inquired.

"About what?" Sarah quizzed back.

"About how you're going to smoke through the Pokemon League once it opens?"

"If I knew about that I would've told you guys sooner. I want to keep my rosters as a surprise, you know, to keep people guessing. It's not just gonna be all of Alola coming in, you know."

"Are you kidding, Master? You're the strongest trainer around and who else has been able to beat you?" interjected Hashimoto. "Sure, you've gotten in some draws but you still clobbered whoever battled you. Why should you be worried?"

"But, I'm still not the best compared to some including Lance and Wallace from the Johto and Hoenn Regions," Sarah countered. "Besides, who am I compared to them, really?"

"You've taken on more opponents stronger than you and you've always come out on top one way or another, Ms. Sarah," Mai put in, having faith in her. "You got Mr. Race and his Pokemon, you got Daddy, you've beaten Mr. Mustard, you've beaten Mr. Nanu, you've-!"

"All right, all right, I won't deny any of them. But, you do remember we got our paddled shins whooped by my uncle and Ivanka when we and my friends first battled him, do you? And, that's before any of the others after that came in *and* before we crossed paths with the Beast Morphers Rangers after."

"So? You guys learned from your mistakes and you've grown stronger from them, I don't see why you should be so worried about the competition Prof. Kukui's Pokemon League will eventually draw," replied Solar, confident in his partner. "And, out of all the trainers in Alola, you've gotten the most Pokemon on your stead (with the exception of the ones from the Pokemon Gems, of course), your bonds with them are unparalleled!"

"Yeah, but what difference does that make?"

"Well, whatever the case, I'm sure you'll do just fine in this new Pokemon League you humans and Sir Kukui are creating for Alola, Sarah," said Calyrex, adding his two cents and deciding to end the discussion so she doesn't think too hard on it. "It would be interesting for all of us to take part in the competition and blow everybody away, as you would put it."

"Well, we'll see but if any of you aren't chosen for the competition, I don't want to hear any of you whining since there will always be others leagues should we decide to go after them following the Alola League."

"Always one to be a taskmaster at the best of times when you need to be regarding our training, huh, Mom?" chuckled Star.

"And, how are you supposed to get on in life without keeping up your exercise?" Sarah chuckled back.

Leaving it at that, they kept on walking towards the school until Silvally felt two familiar presences near them and looked around carefully for them.

"What's wrong, Silvally?"

"Yeah, what do you see?" Solar and Mai inquired, noticing his behavior as they stopped.

"Look there," he responded, finally locking his gaze on a familiar Pokemon Electric/Dark Type pair team looking down on them.

"Hey, took you guys long enough to finally get the picture!" snarked Zorua with a snigger while on Zeraora's left shoulder, catching everyone's attention.

"Dou, Dou, Dou, Dou-Dou, Dou?" inquired Houndoom, wondering why they would appear before them and not be relaxing in Zeraora's floral field.

"Hey, come on, Bluey. If it were Team Earwax, your girl would've morphed by now or if it were another private lesson, we would've beeped you after school. But, nope, we've got Old Sparks and Thunder waiting for us with a little favor to ask of the princess."

"Zera..." Zeraora nodded, having a sinking feeling what Tapu Koko was about to tell them would not be pretty.

"Wait, what, Tapu Koko? What does Tapu Koko want with me now, I have to get to school before the first bell rings," replied Sarah.

"Unless you want to give your island home's head honcho a headache for not heeding his emergency call and if you want to explain passing his word up for a dinky and boring exam, you better get your Beedrill-hind over to him," retorted Zorua, looking serious. "He's not gonna be happy if you kick his offer to the curb."

"Goo, Goodra, Goo, Goo," said Goodra, wanting to see what Tapu Koko wanted with Sarah.

"Sylve, Sylve," Sylveon agreed, curious as to what Tapu Koko wanted involving her human mother.

Sarah thought for a moment and since she didn't want to make Tapu Koko angry or disappoint him, she eventually agreed. "All right, bring us to him," she told the Thunderclap and Tricky Fox Pokemon.

Zeraora nodded while Zorua sniggered gleefully. "Now, you're talking!" she smirked before she transformed into a Pikipek and flew off with Zeraora joining her, the two of them leading Sarah and her entire family to what is an oddly familiar spot.

It was the clearing in the forest where Sarah and Ash had found Nebby when he was a tiny Cosmog and when she officially took him into the family. And there, floating down after a short cry to let them know he was here was Melemele's Island Guardian, Tapu Koko, himself.

"Ah, Princess. Good, you came, punctual as ever," he nodded in approval. "I see Zeraora and Zorua got my message to you."

"Sure did but why did you want me to meet you here in the clearing?" she questioned.

"I assure you, I'm sure your teacher won't mind if you play Hooky for the day on my account. You've grown so much ever since you and Nebby first crossed paths and I've been watching you ever since that moment when my fellow Tapus and I agreed to let him stay with you. But, I sometimes worry if you've been keeping up your training with him. You know Team Eclipse will be getting stronger and smarter with each failure, don't you?"

"Hey, I know that and we've been working hard. We haven't missed a beat after you approved of him living with me, not once. Even the rest of my family aren't pulling back any punches during their training, too."

"I know, and you've all shown great promise at that. However, I want to see how strong you've become since Nebby's evolution. If you're going to have any hope of purging Team Eclipse and proving yourself at the Alola League, I need to test you to see if you're ready."

"You mean like another battle against you?"

"That's right," Tapu Koko nodded.

"Okay, just make it quick so I don't end up running late and Kukui doesn't kill me," she complied. "I don't like the idea of playing Hooky but I'll give it a go."

"I assure you, I'll have you called away on important business and he'll understand I'm involved in your little affair."

"Boo-yah! Sign me up, I'm ready for another-!" cheered Silvally, immediately raring to go up against Tapu Koko before he was quickly met with an annoyed Blitz looking at him upside down while standing atop his head. "WAH!"

"Pika, Pikachu, Pi, Pika, Pikachu, Pi, Pi, Pika," chastised Blitz with a finger wag, saying that he wants to go up against Tapu Koko.

"Hey, no fair! I called dibs on the sparkler!" argued Silvally. "I've been looking forward to duking it out with one of the Tapu-Tapus again for months! I owe him for bringing me to you guys last year!"

"Actually, Young Silvally, I want Little Blitz to battle me again. I planned this battle out with him in mind and I want to see how strong he is now since our first battle," reasoned Tapu Koko, staring intently at Sarah's Mouse Pokemon.

"Wait, you want to battle Blitz again?" questioned Sarah, to which Tapu Koko nodded.

"Oh, come on! Why are you leaving me high and dry with this, dude?!" groaned Silvally, causing Sarah to rub him sympathetically.

"Sorry, Silvally, but it looks like he wanted to go up against Blitz again for a reason. But, it'll only just be for this one, I'm sure you'll get another chance to fight him at any time. Maybe sooner than you might think, you can thank him until then."

"I know but still, I hate it," he admitted in defeat as he moved back and Sarah and Blitz took their positions.

"Now then, let the contest begin!" declared the Melemele Guardian, using Electric Terrain to cover up the clearing in a yellow field to strengthen Electric Type attacks before starting out. "I'll let you and Little Blitz thave the first attack from here on out, Princess!"

"All right, let's go! Blitz, start off with Tackle!" cried Sarah, allowing her first partner to charge forward but Tapu Koko immediately dodged and glowed brightly as he used a familiar Fairy Type attack before he charged at his fellow Electric Type.

"Dazzling Gleam!"

"Dodge and lose him with Double Team!"

"Pika!" nodded Blitz, creating several clones of himself.

Using Double Team, he trapped Tapu Koko, trying to confuse the Melemele Guardian Deity into attacking one of the fakes. But, he barreled through them all before hitting him. "PIKA!"

"Blitz, oh no!" screamed Sarah, shocked that Tapu Koko was able to pick him out so fast as Blitz tumbled back but got up. "You okay?"

"Pi, Pikachu!" reassured Blitz, keeping his glare on the Melemele Deity.

"Okay, if we can't fool this guy, we'll try to fight thunder with thunder! Use Thunderbolt!"

"Pika...CHU!" boomed Blitz, shooting a full-powered Thunderbolt at the Legendary Pokemon.

But, Tapu Koko immediately countered with his own Thunderbolt, and then, just when the battle was about to become intense after the Thunderbolts connected, a large electrical sphere was formed. "Hey! They're gonna buzz up the whole damn clearing and us with it!" cried Silvally in shock.

"What's going on?!" shouted Mai through the extreme crackling of the Thunderbolts.

"Baaa, Baa, Baa, Baa!" bellowed Wooloo, not knowing what's happening as they watched the electric sphere growing.

None of them had any idea what was going on during the battle but unbeknownst to them, Tapu Koko had intended for this to happen. He knew that through a powerful connection between a strong Electric Type and when two Thunderbolts connected, they would serve as an unknown gateway that ripped through the Time/Space Continuum. At that moment, to the ultimate shock of Sarah's family, another Tapu Koko appeared and used a third Thunderbolt attack using the same amount of force the original Tapu Koko and Blitz are using.

"Pika-?!" gawked Blitz in absolute bewilderment, seeing two Tapu Kokos at the same time as he kept up his Thunderbolt.

But, as the battle pressed on and the electric sphere became even more powerful, the Sun Sword started to rattle and shimmer again from Winter's saddle before it suddenly shot a golden beam of light at the sphere. The moment the beam made contact with the sphere, it suddenly exploded and enveloped Sarah and Blitz in a powerful light.

"AAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"PIKA!" they screamed, shielding themselves from the light as they were soon pulled in.

"KID!" called Zorua in horror, she and Zeraora being forced to run over to them before they were also enveloped in the light as they held them.

"MAMA!" cried Nebby and Nebula, running and flighting towards the light and joining them before they were sucked in, too.

"Quick, Poipole, grab them!" shouted Star with a panicked Poipole joining her as they go into the sphere with Silvally following from behind.

"Grab them and Mother, who's gonna grab me in this little joyride?! WHOA!" bellowed the Synthetic Pokemon.

"Rawr!" cried Salamence, shocked to see what was happening before them.

"LAAA!" screamed Latias as she tried to follow, only to be held back by Latios and Braviary as they and everybody else gathered shielded themselves from the light before it and the electric sphere suddenly disappeared.

When the battle was over and the light show had ended, the remaining lot of Sarah's Pokemon, her dragons, and Solar looked around to find that Silvally, Poipole, Nebby, Nebula, Star, Zeraora, Zorua, Blitz, and Sarah had gone, vanished without a trace.

"Raboot, Boot, Raboot?!" gawked Raboot, rubbing his eyes to make sure he isn't dreaming.

"Sarah, Silvally, Zeraora, Zoura, guys? Where'd you go?" called Solar, looking around for them only to find nothing and no sign of them.

"Yam, Yam, Yam, Yam?!" panicked Yamper, immediately whimpering when he realized they're gone before he was comforted by a concerned Rapidash.

"Vul, Vul, Vulpix?! Vulpix, Vul, Vulpix, Vul, Vul!" screamed Snowflake at Tapu Koko, horrified and angry tears starting to stream down her face as she broke down with her family trying to comfort her as best they can.

"I assure you, Little Snowflake. I've intended this to happen for a reason and one that I've every reason to worry about," put in Tapu Koko.

"What reason?! You might've just poofed them out of existence with that stupid stunt of yours!" snapped Ching Wan furiously. "Now, what are we gonna do?!"

"I would not hurt them, Master Ching Wan. I've sent them across the Time/Space Continuum to the Alola Region in another dimension with the help of my transdimensional twin when he sent me a telepathic call wanting help urgently. I had to do this to ensure that my counterpart would get the help he needed to stop what's plaguing his own Alola Region."

"Wait, the Time/Space Continuum, another Alola Region? What are you talking about?" quizzed Hashimoto, not getting what Tapu Koko was saying.

"Cufant, Cu, Cu, Fant, Cufant, Fant, Fant?" asked Cufant, already starting to lose what Tapu Koko's telling him and his family.

Even the dragons warbled worriedly and in great confusion; what could Tapu Koko be talking about? What was this another Tapu Koko and another Alola Region in a different dimension of some kind? They had no idea what he's saying until the Melemele Guardian told them what he did to Sarah and the Pokemon with him in a grave tone.

"My friends, I've sent the princess and the Pokemon joining her to a different dimension in the Multiverse to stop an impending doom that's already thrown the Alola Region there on the verge of total destruction," he said, his tone becoming graver and more worried as he eyed the now greatly concerned Pokemon/Dragon menagerie before him. "I fear that if nothing is done to stop this threat, it may pay a visit to our dimension and we'll all cease to exist..."

"And, what would that be, Master Koko?" asked Calyrex worriedly.

"...The end of the world."

CHAPTER 72 – BATTLING THE BEAST WITHIN!

(As the recently new Power Rangers Ultra Rescue, Sarah and her friends appear just as the introductions begin to show us our main group in the story before the rest of the crew separate)

(Sarah (voice inspiration – Flora (Spyro Reignited Trilogy) ft. Cassandra Lee Morris) is the first to be introduced as she performs the Zenkaiger dance with Blitz, Poipole, and Hashimoto dancing in the background)

The companions with serious yet shining spirits

(Ash is shown along with Pikachu while he joins Sarah for the Zenkaiger dance before moving on to Sophocles and Mallow's introductions and soon, they join in on the dance and their Pokémon partners gather with Sarah and Ash's Pokémon)

Be it in a parallel world, in the past, or in the future [Bang! Bang! Bang! Ba-bang!]

(Lana and Kiawe are featured as they gave affirmative smiles before they join their friends in the Zenkaiger Dance with Turtonator, Popplio, and Pyroar dancing in the background, too)

There's a miraculous bond that unites us heroes

(Lillie is the last person to be introduced as she gave a cute smile while she and Snowy joined in on the dance, unable to contain her excitement as the others can't help but dance as well)

(Latios and Latias bring up a screen showcasing a quick preview of what's to come in the current story chapter at certain points before the Beast-X King Key is inserted into the Beast-X King Activator before cutting to Sarah's Poke-X Morpher was activated before the gang morphed into action at the call of another Ultra Beast dispatch and do a group pose with their new individual weapons at hand)

Once it's started, the excitement never ends

(As the song reaches its climax, Sarah, the others, and their Pokémon with them continued to dance as shots of them battling Team Eclipse and their friends and Sarah's adopted family and godfather including Burnet, Kukui, Principal Oak, Nikki, James, and Tsukumaro appear in greeting as they nodded. The young rangers are then seen looking at the stars of Alola's night sky, seeing Nebula, Nebby, and the Tapu Guardians coming together for some reason as they looked like they're preparing a ceremony of sorts or getting ready to fight for a giant battle ahead of everyone)

So just do your be-be-best, that's right

There's no limit if you have the courage

(Nebby and Nebula make their way forward into battle with Eternatus (whether reformed and rehabilitated or not at the moment) following from behind them as Sarah (riding on Solar who's on Hovercycle Mode), Salamence with Eevee and Skitty on his back, Latios and Latias, and King, her Beast-X King Zord from the Beast Morphers Rangers, joined them before the lion Zord stands ready in its Ultra Sunne and Battle Modes)

Make your desires run through an invincible gear

(Sarah and her Pokémon family along with her dragons have fun inside their Pokémon Dragon Heart Dome as they enjoy their time together with Eternatus not paying them any attention as he continued to brood and be asleep despite Sarah's hopes of having him be fully rehabilitated and more trusting of humanity and Pokémon)

(As the theme song finally reaches its end, Sarah, her friends, and their Pokémon partners that joined them throughout the opening finished their dance before they charged into parts unknown as the next series of their Alolan adventures kicks into overdrive)

Pokémon Alola Journey Pt.3 – Dawn of Destiny

Darkness, that's all Sarah could remember and feel around her right now. When she and the Pokemon with her were caught in the electric sphere caused by Blitz and Tapu Koko's combined Thunderbolts along with a third Thunderbolt from the other Tapu Koko from wherever it was, the overwhelming power opened up a powerful time warp that ended up dragging them all into the wormhole and they all blacked out as a result.

But then, she finally came to and when she did, all she could see around and above her was nothing but sand and a greyish sky. There were clouds all around her from the air and there was no sun or moon peeking out so she couldn't tell whether it was day or night.

She groaned as she held her head and found Blitz, Silvally, Zeraora, Nebby, Zorua, Star, Nebula, and Poipole all starting to come to as well, all of them reeling from the unexpected time warp that sucked them into their current location.

"Guys...?" she hissed in pain, still holding her head.

"Pika-Pika?" breathed Blitz.

"Mama?" moaned Nebby as he and Nebula slowly approached her while trying to stave off the pain of their landing.

"You okay, kid?"

"Zera, Zer...?" questioned Zeraora and Zorua, also reeling from the rough landing.

"Yeah," nodded Sarah.

"Okay, where the hell are we and why is there nothing but grey skies and rotten sand? It's just like a Hawaiian graveyard," questioned Silvally bluntly, looking around at the new more menacing and yet haunting and gloomy scenery before them.

"Mom, Guys, I think we're not in the Alola Region anymore. Something's completely off and I don't see the others or the dragons anywhere," interjected Star, realizing something's off and the rest of their family's gone, horror suddenly landing a sick feeling in Sarah's stomach when she looked around.

"Oh no! Solar, Shadow! Winter, Twilight, Tidal, Hurricane! Skitty, Latios, Latias! GUYS! CAN YOU HEAR ME!? TAPU KOKO!" she screamed but only getting as much as her own echo booming around them.

"Man, what a time Mr. Thunder picked to have a fight with you and Sparky," sighed Zorua as Sarah went over to Nebby and hugged him tightly while he nuzzled her in reassurance. "What the hell is going through his mind? I know he wanted to test you at some point but I never thought he'd pull this and drop us off in this dump."

"But, what could've happened to us after that battle, Mama?" pondered Nebula.

"I have no idea. One minute I watched as Blitz and Tapu Koko's Thunderbolts connected and this electric sphere suddenly popped up out of nowhere. And, the next thing we knew, we were pulled into some kind of wormhole after it covered us and you all followed. What were you guys thinking?!"

"We were only worried and tried to help you get out of it, Mama," wilted Nebby, purring quietly with a whimper.

Zeraora nodded and growled gently, knowing that they didn't have any choice and they were about to lose her and Blitz when it looked and felt like they were in danger.

"Poi, Poipole, Poi, Poi!" nodded Poipole in agreement as she hugged and nuzzled Sarah while slowly crying.

"...I'm sorry, Poipole, you've must've gotten scared for us after seeing us vanish like that in that sphere. All of you," said Sarah, gently rubbing her as she held her.

But, just when they were cool with each other and were about to start wandering to figure out where they currently are, Blitz's ears perked up as if he felt something and looked around. But, when he turned to whatever caught his interest, he gasped in shock.

"Pika, Pi! Pika!" he cried frantically.

"What's wrong, Blitz? Did you find anything?" asked Sarah.

"Pi!" he continued, pointing towards the sight that left him speechless.

"It's a city, on the other side of this creepy desert!" gasped Nebby.

"But, it's completely ruined and where are all the people?" quizzed Star, feeling uneasy about the place.

"I don't know but we better head on over there and see what's happened," Sarah decided, now wanting answers.

"Wait, wait, wait! Don't tell me, you want us to waltz right into that wasteland of civilization in the middle of nowhere and not knowing what kind of creepazoids are lurking in that dump?" Silvally cried incredulously. "Not. Happening. There's no way I'm going to take one step in that dumpster fire, no how, no way! FORGET IT!"

"Do we have a choice, Silvally? We have no idea where we are and who knows what else could be prowling around here? Besides, it's better than nothing and how do you suppose we get back home?"

"...Urgh, one for your side, Mother," he groaned, no answer coming to him as they all headed for the city.

Keeping close together so as to not get separated from one another, Sarah and her current team made their way to the decrepit city. Upon entering, they discovered that it really had been in ruins and not only that, it was completely abandoned. Building after building they came across and passed by was wrecked like they was no tomorrow for them and large pieces of debris from them were scattered all around the place.

To make matters worse and give them more of an eerie and uneasy vibe, there were no people around and there was no sign of any Pokemon beside the princess' family, Zeraora, and Zorua with her. They couldn't understand it, where had they even landed following Blitz's brawl with Tapu Koko?

"What a dump," Nebby quipped.

"What the hell happened?" breathed Silvally, feeling very uneasy.

"It's completely abandoned and destroyed but what could've caused a sanctuary like this to fall to ruin? It's almost like this whole Zombie Apocalypse thing you humans kept preaching on about in the media buzz and it ended up getting busted?" pondered Zorua, looking around.

"What could've happened, I've seen something as horrible as this," wondered Sarah, feeling worried.

"Whatever did this, Mama must've had some malicious intent of some kind. Something that could warrant this kind of destruction to a place like this," theorized Nebula.

"Pi...?" chirped Blitz, now hearing something else as they entered what looked like a destroyed business complex.

"What is it, Blitz?" asked Sarah, noticing her partner's reaction. "What did you hear?"

Carefully maneuvering himself through the debris around him, the little Mouse Pokemon lead his human mother and family towards the source of the sound, which gave off a screeching and grinding noise like two metal pieces from the building had been brushed hard together. They carefully followed his lead until they saw something ahead of them that caused them to hide and look on cautiously.

"What's that?"

"Pikachu..."

"Is it a Pokemon or an Ultra Beast?" questioned Star quietly as they hid, hoping they would not draw its attention.

"Poi, Poipole, Poi, Poipole, Poipole, Poi..." quivered Poipole, shaking a little as she tried to hide and make herself small after seeing the creature.

The creature was indeed a Pokemon but it is more than that. It was a large, 18' 01" Ultra Beast that Sarah and her family had never seen before; its primarily spherical body housing a large and yellow-colored mouth in the center lined with two rows of teeth with the front row being yellow and the rear row being black. The second row of the upper jaw had two tusk-like teeth curling outwards while the inside of the mouth was bright blue and its throat lines laced with small spikes and inside, it even had a large tongue lined with several small spikes to boot. The giant Ultra Beast was supported by a pair of thick legs, having yellow zigzag markings across the knees and three claws each.

Additional tongues resembling long arms with pincers protrude from its lower jaw even when its mouth is closed and just above its mouth, there are two glowing, blue eyes with a yellow, diamond-shaped marking between them. Above each of its eyes is a single bat-like wing with yellow along the upper edge and not only that, there are other small bat-like wings down the sides of its body as well.

It did look terrifying but that wasn't all that sent massive shivers down their spines as they looked it over more closely; On the underside of its body are three, fin-like projections that curve up towards its mouth as either side of its head housed large and slightly curved horns with a yellow tip and on the top of its body featured a pair of arms, each of them with three yellow claws. Finally, a row of small spikes trailed down its back and along its tail which itself extends from the center of its back and resembles a medieval mace.

The beast before them was a total monster as it looked like it was eating parts of the building which only further allowed a growing fear to fester in the group's stomachs.

"What the hell is that thing?!" whispered Silvally in absolute shock as if he could faint at any time.

"Zera..." hissed Zeraora, warning everyone to be quiet as the Ultra Beast continued to eat parts of the building.

"I don't know but something tells me it's bad news and it's not friendly at the very least," gasped Sarah before she grew determined and tried to get closer. "Let's take a closer look at it, then figure out what to do."

"Wait, Mom, are you sure you want to get closer to that thing?" mumbled Star as she, Silvally, Blitz, Zeraora, and Zorua followed to keep her out of trouble. "Just think about it; it's huge, it eats buildings, it looks and feels powerful that it looked as though it could demolish or eat us alive at any time... Why do I get the feeling that it's scaring the heebie-jeebies out of us and what if it's responsible for what happened to the city?"

"I don't know but I bet once we tell Lusamine when we get back about it, she'll have an idea from the scriptures about the Ultra Pillars."

"Mama, can we get out of here?" Nebula whimpered quietly, now frightened out of her wits.

"Nebula, will you relax? Nothing is going to happen as long as we're-" She soon stopped as she accidentally kicked a loose rock and it clattered.

"Mother!" hissed Silvally in horror and disbelief.

"Mom...!" groaned Star, panicked.

"...Oops," Sarah eventually squeaked.

Then, without warning, as if it had heard the rock from behind it, the Ultra Beast slammed its mace-like tail on the ground and turned around, giving off a loud and nightmare-inducing roar. It looked around as Sarah and her family, Zorua, and Zeraora hid again while it picked up another piece of the building and ate it before it finally caught sight of them and let out an angry roar before it started charging at them.

"AAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

"WAAAAAHHHHHH!"

"PIKA, PIKA!" everyone barring a battle-ready Zeraora screamed as they immediately ran for their lives.

The Thunderclap Pokemon used Plasma Fists to try and stun the Ultra Beast as it continued to charge after them and while it did buy them some time to escape, it only seemed to make the monster madder as it destroyed everything in its path to reach its newfound prey.

"Why did you have to crawl over to that demon just to know more about it, Mother?! Do you seriously have a death wish?!" screamed Silvally in his panic.

"I had to find out what it is! I couldn't contact Lusamine or anybody else at Aether Paradise since we don't know what happened to them or the others!" screeched Sarah, continuing to run in her panic.

"Would you stop playing the blame game and just keep running?!" cried Star as they all noticed the Ultra Beast still coming after them until they eventually reached a dead end with nowhere else left to run. "Aw, man! It's a dead-end, Mom! What'll we do now?!"

"I guess the only thing we CAN do is fight. It's not gonna leave us alone unless we get it running back the way it came," the princess replied, seeing no point in running anymore. "If we just keep running, it'll go in circles around us!"

"I got this, Mama!" called Nebby as he launched a powerful Flamethrower, only for the Ultra Beast to eat the Fire Type attack whole.

"No way! It ate the kid's Flamethrower whole!" exclaimed Silvally in shocked horror.

"Poi, Poipole, Poipole, Poi, Poi!" screamed Poipole as she hid behind Sarah, unwilling to continue watching the new Ultra Beast's horrifying might.

The Ultra Beast continued to eat the attack completely but then, it roared again and sent powerful shockwaves that came from eating Nebby's Flamethrower. The Solgaleo in question went in front to block the soundwaves and keep his family from being blown away and fired a Focus Blast at the giant Ultra Beast. Unfortunately, it saw the Focus Blast coming at it and blocked it with its large pinchers before it threw one of them down on Nebby and punched him back.

"Nebby, no!" cried Sarah, seeing her grown-up Ultra Beast already getting rag-dolled as he tumbled back to his family.

"What are you... You're no Pokemon, you're like the devil!" she breathed in horror before she looked at her Z-Power Ring and the Electrium Z on it and tried to perform a Z-Move to save him before the unknown Ultra Beast can kill him. "...I gotta try! Z-Power Ring, activate!"

But, to everyone's horror, when she did try to activate her Z-Power Ring, there didn't seem to be any effect and there was no Z-Power coming through her. Even Blitz was dumbfounded as he didn't feel any Z-Power flowing through him as well.

"Come on, Kid! Do something, are you seriously pulling our legs at a time like this?!" called Zorua incredulously, not wanting to die.

"Are you kidding?! You'd think I'd fool around when I'm trying to use a Z-Move? I can't feel anything, my Z-Power Ring won't start!" she shouted back, not getting anything from it as she turned the key circle.

"Get away from my family!" cried Nebula, firing Moongeist Beam but failing as the beast ate her attack and sent more shockwaves at her that blasted her back to her family and Nebby before crashing into him. "AAAAAAHHHHHHHH-UGH!"

"PIKA!"

"Noooo!"

"Nebula, oh no!" screamed Star, Blitz, and Sarah.

The Ultra Beast soon made it within killing range as it stalked the group and the two downed grown-up Ultra Beast babies and when it was ready, it was about to throw down one of its pincers to end their lives, wanting its so-called pests to be gone and to feast on them when it's done.

"Nebby! Nebula, NO!" boomed Sarah, horrified as she rushed over and held them, wanting to protect them.

"KID!"

"ZERA!"

"MOM!"

"MOTHER!"

"PIKA!"

"POI-POI!" cried Zeraora, Poipole, Blitz, Star, Silvally, and Zorua as they joined her and tried to shield them as well.

The group all braced themselves for imminent death while the Ultra Beast before them continued to throw its pincer down on the group, the situation looking as if they won't make it out of it alive and would very well cross over into the afterlife if only to protect their human mother, best friend, and Sun Princess. That would've been the case if it weren't for...

"...Use Close Combat!"

"Zera!"

Two voices from nearby sounded off followed by a series of rapid-fire punches and fast-paced grunts timed with each punch before ending off with a loud grunt and a kick to throw the pincer off. The first voice belonged to a male trainer who watched a familiar Pokemon launch a full-throttle assault on its giant nightmare-like adversary using Close Combat and throwing it off with one last kick as it tilted over before falling and crashing into the ground.

Feeling like they were still alive, Sarah turned to her family's savior but then, she gasped in absolute shock and bewilderment as she saw what looked to be...ANOTHER ZERAORA having fended off the Ultra Beast!

"Zeraora?! But, how-?!" she spluttered looking at the Zeraora with her (her old friend and guardian figure wearing his cloak, Black Belt, and Light Bracelet) and seeing him still protecting her, Nebby, and Nebula.

She could've sworn that if it weren't for her prior gifts for the Thunderclap Pokemon with her, she would've been seeing double on the spot.

But, she didn't have time to think about it as three more roars sounded off from nearby, and following them, three more Pokemon emerged from different open spots in the decrepit building before each of them started making their own assault on the Ultra Beast.

One by one, the three Pokemon surrounded the Ultra Beast from whatever angles they have on them, the three of them countering its soundwaves with a Triple Roar attack to blast the monster and lower its phenomenal attack power drastically. This gave them the opportunity to fire Ice Beam at its right pincer, a Thunderbolt from above to stun it, and Eruption to blast it from below.

The first Pokemon to attack was a massive, leonine, quadrupedal Pokemon covered in orange-brownish fur coupled with a long and solid cream cloud of smoke running along its entire back with gray plates on either side of the cloud and a plate beneath the cream belly fur on its chest. A yellow crest with three sloped points rested on its forehead and red eyes and clamped to its grey paws with brown pads and black cuff-like bands on its legs with both of its front paws housing three small white retractable claws. Its main faceplate is black and shaped either like fins or a six-sided star with a gray plate resembling a horseshoe mustache covering its muzzle.

The second Pokemon following the first one was a quadrupedal, orangeish-yellow, tiger-like Pokemon with black stripes and a white underside. It had a thin, tail with sharp angles and a spark-shaped formation at the end with most of its face consisted of thick, greyish fur and shorter yellow fur around its red eyes. Its muzzle was an "X" and it had a faceplate with two bumps that cover its forehead, nose, and ears. It also possesses two long fangs similar to the Smilodon (Saber-Toothed Tiger) and its large claws each converge to form a single point and never retract with extra fur hanging off its body in front of its thighs, its mane running across its back resembling dull rainclouds.

The final Pokemon to attack was a slim, quadrupedal, light blue, mammalian Pokemon with white, diamond-shaped markings. Its face and underside are white as well and it had a thick, blue mane that resembles the aurora borealis and two white, streamer-like tails that wave forward along with a long white snout. It also had a large, hexagonal, blue crest on its forehead that resembles the antlers of a Qilinwith two prongs on either side of the base. To top it all off, the Pokemon also has red eyes, a small tuft of fur under its chin, and small paws with white paw pads.

By their own individual looks and given the legends told about them, they were none other than the Legendary Beasts of Johto: Entei, Raikou, and Suicune, the loyal and faithful servants of their leader, the Rainbow Pokemon responsible for using her power for creating them, Ho-Oh. But, what threw everyone off (when her Pokemon finally laid eyes on them and the new Zeraora, whom they were all bewildered to finally see) was that the Legendary Beasts before them are Shiny Pokemon thanks to their different colorations.

"They can't be-!"

"No way!"

"AHH! Master?!"

"PIKA?!"

"WHOA/POI!" gawked Sarah, Zorua, Star, Blitz, Silvally, and Poipole in astonishment.

"Zera, Zeraora, Zer-Zer, Zera!" gasped Zeraora, recognizing them as the Legendary Beasts.

"But, look! They're not the original Legendary Beasts, they're the Shiny Versions!" Zorua continued to gawk.

"Huh, where did those guys come from?!" gasped Nebby.

"I've no idea, Kid, but they and Thundercat's double couldn't have picked a better time to pwn this guy to hell and back!" replied Silvally, feeling relieved but also a little peeved that it took him and his family nearly dying for help to arrive.

The Ultra Beast snarled as it eyed its new adversaries dangerously as if it had known them from whatever prior experiences it had from battling them before Sarah and her family dropped in.

"Zeraora, use Plasma Fists!" shouted the male trainer.

The Zeraora before the group looked towards his master as he heard his call, revealing a man who's in his Thirties and wearing a black shirt and dull-grey pants held by a black belt that had a strange buckle holding it underneath a rugged brown cloak and dulled white and red boots. He even had a band-aid wrapped around his right wrist along with a Z-Power Ring on his left wrist coupled with a fingerless brown glove covering his left hand and he was wearing a dulled red hat with dulled orange goggles attached to them.

Nodding and grunting in agreement, the man's Electric Type partner unleashed his signature attack to shock the menacing Ultra Beast but it didn't turn out to be enough as it held off the Plasma Fists. Seeing this, the man gave off an annoyed grunt before he turned to his partner and the Shiny Legendary Beasts.

"Fall back, all of you!" he called, allowing them to run off before he turned to Sarah and her family, still gawking from what they saw. "You too and your Pokemon, kid!"

Sarah turned to the man in surprise when he called her and her family. "Huh?"

"Don't just stand there! Come if you don't want to get eaten by Guzzlord, follow me!"

The man hurried off and with no choice after seeing the Ultra Beast, now known as Guzzlord, shake off his Zeraora's Plasma Fists, Sarah had to relent but not without returning her Ultra Beast babies to their Pokeballs leaving her, Poipole, Zorua, her Zeraora, Blitz, Star, and Silvally to follow their saviors.

"Hurry!" called the man as he, his Zeraora, and the Shiny Legendary Beasts went into a pipe large enough to fit them all in with their temporary charges following.

Their quick escape had managed to cut them off from Guzzlord, the Ultra Beast having missed them and roared in frustration over losing its prey to the Pokemon and human left in the world it's currently in after they found them and interfered.

"Um, thank you," whispered Sarah. "So, that Ultra Beast, you called it Guzzlord?"

"Right," said the man.

He then turned to her as the group continued on walking, being ever so cautious as to not let Guzzlord know of their presence in the tunnel. "But, I'd advise you to keep quiet, though. What if it hears you and it eventually finds out our escape route?"

"You got it," she nodded, deciding to keep her mouth shut until they were safely away from danger.

The man's Zeraora and Suicune looked back towards Sarah's Pokemon curiously as they continued on walking. This got Blitz's interest as he smiled at the lone wolf Electric Type and the Shiny Aurora Pokemon, the former deciding to ignore him while the latter gave a soft smile before it turned back and regained its determined glare, keeping constant vigilance in case Guzzlord picks them out much to his surprise. Not even Raikou and Entei bothered to give him a glance as they looked around and listened carefully for their enemy's presence.

"How much farther now, Sir?" inquired Star to the man carefully.

"Not long now, we'll be out in the open soon," replied the man carefully and quietly. "Once we get to the other side, it'll be a while before Guzzlord finds us again."

The trek took some time considering the danger they were in and the threat Guzzlord posed as they felt its angered rampaging from afar, the tunnel shaking with each stomp until the sound became fainter and fainter the further they got away from the monstrous Ultra Beast. Nobody dared to breathe after the man answered, knowing that even the tiniest bit of noise can tip the Guzzlord off.

At last, they had reached the end of the tunnel with the man and his wild Zeraora popping out first to look around before they went off with the Shiny Legendary Beasts joining them as they scouted around for a bit.

Soon, Sarah and the rest of her family joined them, all of them breathing a sigh of relief as she safely released Nebby and Nebula who had managed to rest up despite being worn out from their short-lived tussle with Guzzlord.

"Okay, Zeraora?" asked the man.

"Zera," nodded the wild Zeraora, seeing the area clear as Suicune, Entei, and Raikou returned and nodded in agreement.

"Well, guys, did Guzzlord find out and follow us?" inquired the man again, permitting them to shake their heads and get a nod from him as he petted Suicune's head in approval. "Good..."

"...Sir, thanks for saving us back there. I'm Sarah and these are my Pokemon, Blitz, Nebby, Silvally, Star, Nebula, and Poipole," introduced Sarah, she and her Pokemon joining their saviors. "And, these two with us are our Zeraora and Zorua friends."

"Zera, Zeraora," replied Sarah's Zeraora with a polite bow.

"Hey, how's it going?" peeped Zorua, sniggering.

"Yeah, you were awesome back there though you took your sweet time getting there," nodded Silvally with a snark despite the man not being able to understand him fluently as Sarah can. "We were almost Ultra Beast bait to that walking haunted house of a monster before you showed up."

"Pika, Pikachu," bowed Blitz, expressing his gratitude for their being saved.

"Hi, Mister," chirped Nebby.

"Nice to meet you," added Nebula.

"Poi, Poi, Poipole," put in Poipole, smiling with great relief.

"My name is Dia," answered the man as he, the wild Zeraora, and the Legendary Beasts turned to them.

"Do you have a surname, too? Like, Mr. Dia?" quizzed Star.

Dia shook his head in disapproval as he simply answered and introduced his partner and the Legendary Pokemon with them, "Just Dia. This is Zeraora and these three Shiny Pokemon are Legendary Beasts: Entei, Suicune, and Raikou."

He then eyed the cloaked Zeraora, Nebby, and Nebula thoughtfully, feeling a little suspicious and intrigued about them. "I see you also have a Zeraora with you and you're the first human I've ever seen to have both Solgaleo and Lunala on you," he continued.

"Yeah, well, my Zeraora's not mine officially. He and Zorua are still wild Pokemon, I haven't caught them. But, that Guzzlord, is it really a Pokemon or an Ultra Beast?"

"You could say that since you're pretty knowledgeable on the subject of Ultra Beasts. But, enough about that. What's going on, why are you and your family here? This area is strictly off-limits, you shouldn't have come!"

"Pi-Pika?" repeated Blitz in surprise.

"But, we had no idea it was off-limits in the first place!" reasoned Star.

"I know this is going to sound crazy but hear us out, Dia," added Sarah, deciding to fill him in as she recalled her and Blitz's battle with the Melemele Island Diety. "See, where we came from, we crossed paths with Tapu Koko who wanted to test us to see how far we've come since Nebby became part of my family. But, while he and Blitz were battling, their Thunderbolts connected and this huge electric sphere popped up out of nowhere. And, before we knew it, something weird happened as it sucked us in and I could've sworn it got some kind of charge from somewhere or something but we had no idea what."

"Battle, an electric sphere?" inquired Dia.

"Yeah, and little did we know, Nebby, Nebula, Silvally, Poipole, Zeraora, and Zorua immediately followed as they tried to save us but they ended up getting pulled into the sphere with us. I don't know what happened after since we blacked out but when we came too, we ended up here and found this city. We wanted to find some shelter to figure out how to get home but we ended up finding Guzzlord and now, well, you came in to save us."

Dia looked down in thought as he quietly hummed; he seemed to have an idea of how Sarah and her family had ended up where they are now but he didn't bother to say it out loud. That was when he decided to fill her in on Guzzlord and how the world they're in came to be.

"I see. As for your concerns about Guzzlord, Guzzlord is an Ultra Beast. More specifically, he's the 7th Ultra Pillar and the Ultra Beast everyone has come to know as either UB-05 Glutton or more appropriately, the Dragon of Gluttony," he began, recalling how Guzzlord came to ravage his own world.

(Flashback)

It started out like any other normal day in the Alola Region as everyone went about their business. But, deep in one of the lower basement garage levels inside a business complex in the middle of Hau'Oli City, little did anybody know that trouble of the worst kind was about to appear before them.

A police officer was doing his rounds as he walked out of an elevator into the final lower basement level and looked around, shining his flashlight to find and track down anything suspicious that could catch his eye. For a while, it seemed peaceful and nothing looked suspicious. However, it didn't last long as the ground shook and the roads broke apart, startling him and causing him to run and get the word out.

Soon, everyone else in the complex felt the rumbling and they were thrown back or had to run away in panic as the floor in the main floor erupted and the building collapsed, the people and Pokemon in it barely managing to make it out alive. And there, emerging from the ruins of the building in his full, menacing glory was the Dragon of Gluttony himself, Guzzlord.

"He appeared from out of nowhere, destroying buildings and slicing through mountains with nothing short of tremendous force unlike anything the world had ever seen," Dia recalled, remembering Guzzlord rampaging and eating through the city before making his way towards the mountains and any nearby settlements unfortunate enough to be in his way, the people and Pokemon fleeing in terror from his overwhelming gluttonous might. "He ate everything in his path as though he was trying to level and chow down on the entire city."

Everywhere he went, the Dragon of Gluttony made a name for himself as he chomped on and chowed down on buildings and trees he comes across, his hunger and thirst for destruction not being satisfied with every bite. It had gotten so bad that a special ops team of Power Rangers in Dia's world had to be called in to stop him and ensure Alola's ultimate salvation.

"The Ultra Beasts Special Ops Team of Power Rangers/Ultra Rangers - the Power Rangers Beast Defenders - tried to stop him from causing so much destruction to our home and the world should it fall as well, but..."

The morphed team of Ultra Beasts Power Rangers (comprised of and inspired by a reformed Lord Drakkon, a reformed Ranger Slayer, Crimson Hawk Ranger (violet in this story), Blue Phoenix Ranger (red in this story), an MMPR Movie Blue Ranger (Ninjetti), and the Gokai Silver Ranger (Gold Mode)) stood before their opponent, preparing themselves to fight against the rogue Ultra Pillar as they sent out their chosen Pokemon.

Before the six rangers stood a Blastoise (belonging to the Lord Drakkon hero lookalike), an Alolan Golem (partnered with the Violet Hawk Ranger), a Houndoom (assigned to the Blue Ninjetti Ranger), a Blissey (belonging to the Ranger Slayer hero lookalike), a Passimian (partnered with the Silver Gokaiger (currently in Gold Mode)), and an Azumarill (belonging to the Red Phoenix Ranger).

The six Pokemon and their masters all fought their hardest to protect their world against Guzzlord but their efforts were all for naught as the Dragon of Gluttony ate their attacks, shocking the Power Rangers of Dia's world and blowing them away with one attack using its sonic waves. The rangers and their partners all took the full brunt of the blast and the leader was also blown away, his visor cracking upon impact to reveal a younger Dia, horrified over the sheer power Guzzlord had shown. Guzzlord's rampage was too much; reluctantly, everyone evacuated and the BD Rangers were forced to retreat, their mission a failure.

"But, it was useless; our efforts were futile and in vain no matter how hard we fought. Guzzlord continued to eat and destroy everything in his path, his hunger never satisfied as he carried on with his rampage. The wounded Beast Defenders Rangers and their partners were forced to retreat and the people fled this land..."

(End Flashback)

Dia snarled in self-loathing as he finished his story, beating himself up and blaming Guzzlord for everything that happened to his world ever since the monstrous Ultra Beast appeared and ravaged his home.

His tragic story left Sarah and her family, Zorua, and her Zeraora friend in horror and shock; Guzzlord had obviously dealt a huge blow to him, his team, and their world and because he had proven to be too much of a threat to deal with given the horrible circumstances they were in, the people of Alola were forced to abandon the region for safer pastures left in the rest of the world that haven't been touched by the monster.

They had no idea what to say to him that could offer comfort; how could they? They never had to go through the horrors of what Dia and his ranger team went through as well as the people of their world and they can't even begin to imagine the trauma and the horrors plaguing Dia and his only friends who found and stayed with him during the apocalyptic hellhole they were in.

"...So, all that's left of this world is you, your Zeraora, and the Legendary Beasts?" began the princess slowly.

"Yes," nodded Dia as Blitz perked up and felt something odd before he ran off to check it out. "We're the only ones left in this world fighting to protect it from Guzzlord."

"How come you didn't join your friends and everybody else that evacuated?"

"Many Pokemon once lived here, too," Dia answered, thinking back to how much of a paradise his world was to the humans and Pokemon that once inhabited it before Guzzlord came along while he and Sarah watched Blitz try to find what he's looking for before Poipole joined in to help. "People and Pokemon lived here together back then, nurtured by the abundant nature that surrounded them. I want to defeat Guzzlord and reclaim this land so we may rebuild this paradise no matter how hard the journey gets, that's all."

Sarah nodded; she could feel the determination and the fire of hope burning and dwelling within Dia.

But, even so, she couldn't help but wonder how he and Zeraora came across the Shiny Legendary Beasts as she turned her attention to them continuing to scout around for Guzzlord before they nodded to each other and eventually rejoined the group once more. Even Star couldn't put it past her as she looked over to Dia.

"But, how did you meet the Legendary Beasts while Guzzlord laid waste to this world?" the Shiny Lucario inquired.

"I'll tell you in time, but right now, this is not the time nor the place for such a story," he answered just as they see Blitz and Poipole finding a pack of Pokemon comprised of some Alolan Raticate and Gubblin and a Midday Form Lycanroc, a small flock of Beautifly, and a quintet of Seviper.

The Pokemon they found all appeared and nuzzled the two of them happily, relieved to see some friendly faces amongst all of the destruction before them and no longer worried about having to live in fear of hoping that Guzzlord wouldn't find and pick them out even for a little bit.

"Dia, if that's what you want to do, then I think I can help you with that," Sarah replied, wanting to help him. "I'm sure my family would feel the same way since we're all fighting for the same thing - peace and happiness for everyone. Shall we join forces to deal with Guzzlord?"

"Not a chance," Dia shot down, brushing her off immediately.

"But, why not?"

"You'll just slow us down even if you can help," he stated matter-of-factly.

"Dia, please! I've never gotten in the way of anybody and I won't get in your way, too! I've battled against the Ultra Pillars in my world before as the leader of my ranger team, the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue!" defended Sarah, wanting Dia to see sense. "You can trust me! I even have three Ultra Beasts as part of my family. Isn't that right, Poipole?"

"Poi, Poi!" agreed Poipole in her defense.

But, Dia wasn't convinced as he just scoffed, "I've never heard of the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue but this is serious. This isn't child's play."

"Dia, the Ultra Rescue Rangers and I don't do child's play! The danger we've been dealing with is on par with the levels Guzzlord is presenting to you and your friends with what I had to go through in my world!"

"This is too dangerous for you, forget it! I don't want to be responsible for your own deaths given what we're dealing with, you have no idea what you're getting yourself and your Pokemon into."

The Legendary Beasts looked over to the conversation and they all agreed, knowing how it's too dangerous and how much of a risk it is being some assistance to help them take down Guzzlord.

"Don't you dare look down on Mama and be so self-righteous!" barked Nebby finally, shocking Dia, his Zeraora, and Legendary Beasts as they looked at him, his anger over his human mother being criticized and their lack of trust in her showing. "Do you really think Mama is that weak and she can't handle herself while you think you're the only one in the world who has something to fight for? Mama is much stronger than you think because she also has something worth fighting for!"

"That's right! If you really want to beat Guzzlord and take back this world, you have to learn to trust her!" agreed Star as she faced Dia with a disappointed and angry frown thrown at him. "But, if you all go at him again and die, do you think your sacrifice will make him go away and save your world from impending doom? If you're alive and you trust us, especially Mom, we can put an end to him and send him back to the Ultra Dimension. There will come a time and a day when your world can be rebuilt again but if you die, everything you've done will still be all for naught."

"I'm not one for sappy stories but you're really setting yourself a new low by looking down on Mother," added an unimpressed Silvally, coming forward to speak his own mind on the matter with Dia's Zeraora and the Legendary Beasts. "Why not settle this on a one-on-one battle? Your Zeraora against Sparky, you'll trust us soon."

Dia's Zeraora seemed thoughtful of what he had heard from Nebby, Star, and Silvally but while Entei and Raikou either scoffed or chuckled in amusement at their faith in Sarah and they and their family's willingness to help stop Guzzlord, Suicune seemed to be deep in thought as well.

She couldn't help but feel the same determination she, her brothers, Dia, and his Zeraora all shared to protect the world and end the Dragon of Gluttony's wrath and hunger and what seemed like an endless battle against the monstrous Ultra Beast. Ever since they came across Dia and his Zeraora after recognizing the danger presented to the humans and Pokemon in the Alola Region, after hearing the news about Guzzlord laying the island he was on to waste and the world following in his wake, they've been fighting diligently to preserve the peace that once held for so long.

However, as time went by following their first encounter with Guzzlord and their faithful friends and companions coupled with enduring the hopelessness, suffering, and trauma from their ongoing war with the Ultra Pillar and everyone else who had to evacuate and/or die in the process, their constant battling had worn her and her brothers down, their will to ensure eternal peace again being the only fire to keep them going. For the five warriors, it was a war without end and it had taken a heavy toll on them all.

But now, seeing Sarah and her family before them and hearing how fiercely determined they were in wanting to help Dia end Guzzlord and save their world through their love for Pokemon and each other had given her a sliver of hope. Maybe with their help, just maybe, their world still could have a chance to be saved.

With no other choice, she went over to Dia and nudged him gently, cooing as to give Sarah a chance to prove herself and for her family to do the same. Even Blitz calmly persuaded his Zeraora to allow him the chance to fight him, hoping to prove to him that he can hold his own against Guzzlord, too.

For Dia, he could tell that Sarah was determined to prove her mettle and she wasn't going to back down. Neither her family would want to back down knowing how much Guzzlord can be a problem and she would honorably submit to him if she were to lose. Not only that, but he also trusted the Legendary Beasts to know what to do in tough times when their, his, and his Zeraora's backs were against the wall. Eventually, deciding to trust Suicune and her judgment, he relented.

"Very well," he sighed reluctantly.

A little later, Dia and Sarah were ready for their battle with Blitz and the former's Zeraora taking their places in the area. Knowing that everything about their impending trust and teamwork to stop Guzzlord's rampage rested on this battle and with the Ultra Pillar bound to pop up when they least expect it, they agreed to make it quick before making their escape.

"Make your move," ordered Dia, offering Sarah and Blitz the first move.

"Right! Coming your way, Dia!" nodded Sarah as she called on Blitz's first move. "Blitz, Tackle! Use your electricity to gain momentum for a makeshift Quick Attack from it!"

"Pika!" affirmed Blitz, charging forward and making use of his electricity stored in his body to speed up and do an improvised Quick Attack with Thunderbolt and Tackle together.

"Zeraora, you counter with Quick Attack," called Dia simply.

"Zer!" agreed his Zeraora, charging forward as they collided with each other and made a Thunderbolt shoot up into the sky, initially being at equal power.

"A Quick Attack collision!" grunted Silvally, feeling the sheer power before him.

"That mouse better not miss this chance!" put in Zorua, watching the fight intensely.

"There's more to it with Big Brother Blitz!" argued Nebby, having faith in Blitz.

"Yeah, he and Mama are not down yet!" agreed Nebula.

"Your Zeraora's strong, I'll give you two that. Blitz, fight thunder with thunder using Thunderpunch!" Sarah said, calling Blitz's next attack.

"Close Combat," Dia countered.

Heeding his master's next order, the wild Zeraora unleashed the same attack he used on Guzzlord and the two of them clashed again but this time, the Fighting Type attack was directed at his smaller opponent.

"Pik!" cursed Blitz, glaring determinedly at Dia's Zeraora while their physical attacks collided upon the initial punches.

The Mouse Pokemon tried to counter Close Combat using consecutive Thunderpunch attacks but the speed and power of Dia's Zeraora's Fighting Type move quickly overwhelmed him and with one last kick, he was sent flying back before he landed on his paws over on Sarah's side again. The cloaked Zeraora was in awe from seeing his counterpart and fellow Mythical Pokemon battling Blitz with ease while the Shiny Legendary Beasts watched on with intrigue and approval.

He and everybody else on Sarah's side could see that there wasn't even a scratch on him. They had a feeling that the ongoing war with Guzzlord he was in alongside the Shiny Legendary Beasts and Dia had allowed him to hone his attacks to an incredible degree which could make him and Dia the strongest Pokemon/Pokemon Trainer pair team they've encountered to date.

"No way! You okay there, Blitz?" asked Sarah to her partner.

"Pika! Pi, Pikachu, Pi, Pika, Pikachu, Pi," reassured Blitz, stressing that they need a new plan if they were going to beat Dia and his Zeraora.

"I see, I guess we'll need to get the drop on him somehow. Trap him with Electroweb and use Double Team!"

Blitz nodded and quickly getting back into the battle, he ensnared Dia's Zeraora in an Electroweb before he summoned clones of himself and circled around his powerful Electric Type opponent. Dia's Zeraora looked around as he tried to pinpoint the real Blitz while patiently waiting for his master's next order.

"Great job, Blitz! That won't hold him for long, though, we've got to end this now! Thunderbolt, GO!"

"Pika, Pikachu! Pika...CHU!" shouted Blitz, now trying to get the drop on the wild Zeraora.

"Slash, let's go!" countered Dia again, allowing his Thunderclap Pokemon partner to enlarge his claws and break through the Electroweb before dodging the Thunderbolt.

"What?!" gasped Zorua in shock.

"Zera, Zer!" cried Sarah's Zeraora in astonishment.

"Poi, Poi, Poipole!" shouted Poipole, realizing that Blitz is now in a real bind.

"He's going to pummel Blitz and wipe out the clones after breaking out of that Electroweb!" gasped Star, looking towards the stunned and weary Blitz. "Mom, Blitz!"

"Sparky, Mother! Move, he's faster than he looks!" screamed Silvally, seeing Dia and his Zeraora preparing their big finish.

"Use Plasma Fists!" shouted Dia one more time, initiating the final attack from his Zeraora.

With his eyes, paw pads, and blue fur glowing as he charged up the stored electricity he got from the ions exuded from Electroweb and the magnetic field he created after channeling it to his paw pads, Dia's Zeraora roared loudly as he then slammed the ground and the electricity traveled at blinding speed. His signature attack from before may haven't done much on Guzzlord before but it was sure to be effective on any other Pokemon including his tiny Electric Type opponent.

"No! Plasma Fists is moving too fast for you to dodge! Brace yourself, Blitz!" screamed Sarah, the Mouse Pokemon gasping in shock and realizing what it meant as he prepared to take the attack head-on.

He didn't need to say anything as he gave a determined grunt and closed his eyes; the Alolan Mouse Pokemon knew it was all over when he heard Dia call the attack.

And, he was right to follow Sarah's last order; when the Plasma Fists attack made contact with him, he was thrown up into the air with a pained squeal. While his clones were destroyed, he landed on the ground, groaning in pain and having more respect for Dia's Zeraora while humbled from the final assault done on him.

"Wow... Mmm, looks like you and your Zeraora won, Dia," sighed Sarah, admitting defeat with a slow curtsy bow before she looked to Blitz.

It did hurt her for having to lose again after a while but she's able to take this latest loss of hers in stride and it didn't hurt as much before.

Her family, on the other hand, was stunned that Blitz went down willingly as he took the Plasma Fists attack from Dia's Zeraora. Even Zorua and Sarah's Zeraora couldn't help but gawk in astonishment seeing how quickly the battle tipped over in Dia's Zeraora's favor and Blitz took on the two Mythical Pokemon's signature attack without having to counter or dodge it.

"Mama, Big Brother Blitz," gasped Nebby, feeling devastated.

"I can't believe it, how come they didn't dodge or counter Plasma Fists?" asked Star, stunned.

"They couldn't," Silvally stated. "It would've been impossible to dodge or break, anyway. He now knows how Luna felt when he took on that crazy Electric Type attack head-on back at Clawmark Hill last year. It's already over."

Seeing how diligently Dia and his Zeraora's young opponents battled despite the clear victors being Zeraora and Dia with the last Plasma Fists attack, Suicune approached the defeated pair team and nuzzled the still-unconscious Blitz gently and cooing admiringly, showing a soft smile towards the princess.

Sarah was surprised as she gasped; did Suicune really see them as a worthy Pokemon and Pokemon trainer for some reason? What was it about them that drew her attention to them? Her brothers seemed to beg to differ as they looked at each other incredulously and with raised skeptical eyebrows, still unsure if Sarah and her family could help them after being outmatched by Dia and his Zeraora.

Time past and thankfully, there was no sign of Guzzlord around so their battle didn't draw his attention which meant that they're all in the clear, for now. During which, Blitz had finally managed to recover and he and his family were now mingling with the surviving Pokemon, all of them being in awe of the stories they had to tell.

"I see that Blitz has finally woken up," noted Dia, he, the Legendary Beasts, and his Zeraora coming from another patrol to see how Sarah's partner is getting on after the battle.

"Yeah. But still, I'm amazed by how you and your Zeraora battled, Dia. You two were perfectly in sync with one another and you took us down without even breaking a sweat," nodded Sarah before looking towards the Shiny Legendary Beasts. "And, I suppose the same can be said for Suicune, Raikou, and Entei seeing how much they trusted you."

Dia nodded as he continued, "So, it's all settled now. You should go home, there's no need for you and your family to concern yourselves with this mess of ours."

"All right. One problem, though; I had no idea how to even get back home. Unless we have a miracle, we're basically stuck here for who knows how long."

"Hmm... I see, I think the best thing for us to do is to contact my fellow rangers and see if we can get you all back home tomorrow."

"Whoa... Thanks, Dia, but... About the Power Rangers Beast Rangers, you mentioned in your story about Guzzlord's beginnings in this world that you were once their leader, right? Why would you be a former Power Ranger?"

"...I quit but kept my powers when my fellow rangers ultimately decided to make their retreat. I have my reasons for staying, selfish reasons, that is. But our commander, our superior who spearheaded my ranger team and the project we're in, was understanding of my plight so she let me go, hoping to see our world taken back once I defeated Guzzlord with the assistance of Zeraora and the Legendary Beasts. It was her faith and hope within me that kept me going, really."

This gave Sarah some thought; hearing Dia openly admitting to her that he had selfish but understandable reasons for wanting to stay and defeat Guzzlord reminded her of Ash and how the older trainer and former ranger seemed alike from what she could tell.

"Hmm, you know, you kinda remind me of a good friend of mine from my world with that kind of thinking, Dia," smiled Sarah, ignoring the incredulously raised eyebrow she got from him. "Come on, guys, let's find some shelter to bed down for tonight."

"And, should Big, Tall, Spikey, Draconic, and Ugly, rear his demonic head on us again?" quizzed Silvally incredulously.

"Then, we'll keep on running until we find a place where he can't find or pick us off."

"Mom, I don't want to run a whole marathon just to stay alive," groaned Star, already worried about coming across Guzzlord again. "Can't we stick it out here until tomorrow morning and meet up with these guys at that time?"

"Unless you want to become Ultra Beast Clam Chowder and become reacquainted with the Devil of the Ultra World should he know we're out here and see living hell if that's what you want."

"...I'll pass," Star admitted, shaking her head frantically as Nebby, Nebula, Zeraora, and Silvally joined them.

"I thought you'd say that. Zorua, Blitz, Poipole, come on!" replied Sarah, calling out to Zeraora's disciple along with Blitz and Poipole as they parted from the surviving Pokemon, rejoined their group, and prepared to head out.

"Wait," interrupted Dia, stopping them in their tracks. "My hideout's a much better place for you all to sleep."

"Your hideout, you really think so?"

"It's too dangerous for you all to sleep out here in the wild and who knows what'll happen if you become easy targets for Guzzlord once he finally knows you're still around and away from him. We managed to escape him once when we saved you but he could still pop out at any time without warning. And, don't forget, my team will be arriving tomorrow morning after I make contact with them. You're leaving as soon as they arrive."

"I know. But, we're grateful for your help, really."

Without another word, Dia, his Zeraora, Suicune, Entei, and Raikou lead the way to their hideout for the night with Sarah and her family joining them. It had been a weird and frankly rough day for everyone; from meeting Dia, his Zeraora, and the Shiny Legendary Beasts to landing in an apocalyptic wasteland and seeing Guzzlord, things were getting too tall for TV for the small group.

As they left the area, the Midday Form Lycanroc and the youngest of the Beautifly and Seviper groups followed while the older ones stayed to protect the rest of the little Pokemon in their current location.

Night came as everyone and the current surviving wild Pokemon with them continued walking towards Dia's hideout and even though it seemed peaceful to everyone now, the threat of Guzzlord still loomed over them as they kept their eyes and ears open, hoping that they won't be ambushed by the Dragon of Gluttony at any time. But, everywhere they went leading to the hideout, Sarah and her family could see even more of the devastation that came from the monstrous Ultra Pillar.

The little princess thought back to the Ultra Pillars she and her friends had come across with each dispatch ever since becoming the Power Rangers Ultra Rescue; with Buzzwole, Pheromosa, Kartana, Xurkitree, Poipole, and Blacephalon, none of them meant any harm since the other five crossed over by accident or for whatever reason they had and Poipole was still on her mission to find help to bring back the life force that had been stolen from her world in the Ultra Dimension while living her new life with her and her family in the meantime.

With Guzzlord, however, he was a far cry compared to them. He was monstrous, ruthless, an absolute beast that showed no remorse for or mercy to anybody standing in his way since his neverending hunger is all that he's really concerned about. He really meant what he did when he ate away at anything and everything in his path as she could see from the trail of destruction left behind in his relentless hunger.

"Dia, I'm so sorry. You guys shouldn't have had to go through all of this. Have all these buildings and the rest of this world turned into a wasteland when Guzzlord crossed over from the Ultra Dimension?" Sarah asked, now feeling dreadfully sorry for everything Dia and everyone else in his world suffered through.

"Yes," replied the older trainer simply.

"Poi, Poi, Poi, Poipole..." sniffed Poipole, starting to cry again as she looked around the wasteland that came as a result of Guzzlord's destruction.

"I never thought an Ultra Pillar like Guzzlord could do all of this and without showing any mercy to anything or anyone," Nebula mused mournfully.

"You're telling me, that creep that caused all of this scared the heebie-jeebies out of me," nodded Silvally, still feeling uneasy. "I betcha Eternatus would smoke that Guzzlord and eat that monster for breakfast but I thought for sure that he gave us nightmares for days."

"He doesn't even come close to Tall, Dark, Draconic, Brutal, and Hungry since he's a total killing machine," noted Zorua, riding on Sarah's Zeraora's head. "At least we managed to stop Snake Eyes from obliterating Galar and humanity when we did."

The youngest Beautifly, terrified out of its wits of Guzzlord's rampage and the destruction he caused, fluttered closely to Sarah as it landed on her head. The princess, noticing her surprise passenger, gently rubbed it to reassure it that they'll all get out of this mess they're in somehow.

The party continued on their way past the debris from their common enemy's terror until they finally came to Dia's hideout which actually looked like a familiar building when Sarah and her family finally got a good look at it.

"Wait, Dia?" asked the princess, stopping everyone in their tracks.

"Yes, what is it?" he replied.

"Your hideout, My family and I, we know this place..."

"Poi, Poi-Poipole, Poi?!" gasped Poipole, finally recognizing it as the Pokemon School.

"Wait! Is Strongman's old shack really the Pokemon School?!" gawked Silvally.

"It can't be!"

"But, it is!" spluttered Nebby and Nebula.

"Pika...?" questioned a shocked Blitz.

"It is, it's our school!" breathed Star, reeling from what she and her family saw before them.

"Wow, that definitely looks like the Pokemon School back in our world," nodded Zorua, looking flabbergasted.

"Zer, Zera, Zera," agreed Sarah's Zeraora, thunderstruck (metaphorically speaking, of course) by the sight of the Pokemon School.

"Pi, Pi, Pi-Pikachu," stuttered Blitz in disbelief and shock.

"But, it also fell to Guzzlord's might when he appeared as Dia told us. How can it still be standing after he laid waste to this world...?" Nobody else had anything to say to Sarah as Dia, his Zeraora, and the Legendary Beasts looked at them as their temporary charges gawked at seeing Dia's hideout.

"What has appeared before Sarah and her family and friends currently comprising of Blitz, Silvally, Poipole, Nebby, Nebula, Star, Zeraora, and Zorua is an abandoned Pokemon School. How can this be? What is the fate of our heroine in this wild and woolly chapter of her ongoing journey where there is no rest for the weary and a new danger lurks within the shadows every couple of minutes in the apocalyptic hell they're in? The answers to come as the journey continues..."

Epilogue: "Where Are You Going, Eevee and Friends?"

While Sarah and her family with her, her Zeraora, and Zorua were stuck in Dia's world and trying to figure out how to get home without running into Guzzlord, Eevee, his family, Mantine, and Lapras were still making their way to the Alola Region and having fun in the process.

Well, Eevee and Mantine were the only ones having fun as they did some more Mantine Surfing on a big wave that came their way.

But, as they came off the wave and did another trick while Delcatty and Boltund watched on from their spot on Lapras, the shaggy Evolution Pokemon's hair lifted from his eyes as he started falling and in front of him, he saw Melemele Island in the distance before he finally landed back on Mantine's back.

"Eev, Eev, Eevee, Vee, Vee!" cried Eevee to Mantine and his parents before he pointed them to Melemele Island. "Ee, Eevee, Vee, Vee?"

Mantine cooed to his little passenger, telling him and his parents that they've reached the Alola Region and the current home of a friend of his, Sarah Tomoe, and her Pokemon family.

"Bol, Bol...?"

"...Prow, Prrow?" questioned Delcatty and Boltund.

Lapras and Mantine nodded, the Transport Pokemon informing them that Sarah is the region's Sun Princess and she's befriended and taken in a number of Pokemon as her own, knowing that she and some human friends of hers will do them well.

After arriving on the island and getting off their new friends on the beach, the Pokemon family of three bids goodbye to both Water Types as they headed off. Then, they were left on their own to figure out what to do next. Boltund and Delcatty looked around for a few seconds, finding the peaceful tranquility of the island to be rather enjoyable for them.

(Pokemon POV)

"Mom, Daddy, now what?" asked Eevee, starting to grow bored and wanting to find the human, Sarah Tomoe.

But before his parents could reply, a wild Wimpod passed from behind them but its presence soon caught Eevee's attention.

Then, as if it felt his eyes behind his shaggy fur peering down on it curiously, the Wimpod froze and began sweating in fright. "Oh, crap..." it whimpered quietly.

Finally, when it couldn't take him anymore, the Water Type screamed as it ran away in a cowardly panic while the energetic Evolution Pokemon chased after it, wanting the appropriately titled Turn Tail Pokemon to play with him and be his new friend.

"Eevee!" gasped Boltund and Delcatty, hearing and noticing their adoptive son chasing after the cowardly Pokemon before going after the Normal Type to stop him.

The Wimpod whimpered as it scuttled across the beach with Eevee hot on its tail and his parents not too far behind him until it took cover inside a hole on a small cliff, preventing Eevee from going after it.

"Aww, no fair. I just wanted to be your friend," he pouted sadly as his parents joined him.

"Son, you know better than to do something like that to make new friends," Boltund chastised.

"That's right, you can't expect everyone to be your friend. You have to see if anybody is trustworthy enough to be your friend, remember what we told you about strangers?" asked Delcatty in agreement.

"I know, never talk to strangers," sighed the little Normal Type before he felt a palm tree leaf gently falling on him. "Huh?"

Then, they found what looked to be Nanab Berries growing from trees above him and his parents, feeling hungry for the first time in a while since they "abandoned ship" on the way to Alola. "YUMMY! N-n-n-n-n-NANAB BERRIES!" he screeched in delight.

He quickly climbed up the cliff as his Prim Pokemon mother and Dog Pokemon father jumped after him and he shook the tree, causing several berries to fall off with one of them landing on his head.

"OWCH?!" he winced, getting a bump on his head before he happily noticed the berries and immediately dug into one.

His parents just sighed with knowing smiles as they joined in, "That's our Eevee."
