A few warnings for this chapter, super long one so I hope you guys enjoy that! And towards the end let's just say it's a little rated t-for teen... (✿◠‿◠)
Today was the day. Sting knew what he had to do. But should he? Deep in his heart he really didn't want to let her go... but she needs them...
More than she thinks she does.
The past couple of nights have been hellish for the dragon slayer. Concern, anxiety and heartache all spiraled through his thoughts.
Seeing the Moonlight mage every day at the guild brought such a bright smile to his face. A feeling that he couldn't describe.
Being a guild master, a king as one might say-
She was his Queen.
And forever always will she be royalty to him. The blonde just wanted her to get back with her family. Sabertooth of course was family too! But even Sting knew this one hundred percent...
Fairy Tail is number one and Sabertooth will always be number two.
In all honesty, it took guts for the blonde to admit that out loud, but one day they'll be able to surpass the mightiest guild and the tigers will be on top again.
"Come on S-Sting! W-Where are we g-going!?"
The bluenette giggled with a smile as the blonde directed her, holding onto the back of her shoulders
Groggy from getting off of the train, the dragon slayer's stomach was doing flip-flops.
Hearing his silence, Vyra giggled even louder. Yeah he probably wasn't doing too well after that ride...
But she was so curious. Knowing how much the boy hates transportation, he sucked it up and went on the train just to surprise her?
Where were they going?
He was doing it all for her?
Her heart fluttered.
"Sting seriously-" She halted turning her body around to face him, even though she couldn't see him due to her being blindfolded
Desperate times call for desperate measures... I suppose.
"Just tell me where we're going..."
"...babyyy..."
Cutely whispering, she instantly made the blonde flush red. Thank God she couldn't see his expression or Sting would've lost it.
Twirling her back around to face forward, Sting let out a sigh followed by a groan.
"..."
"Let's list off a few rules shall we?"
He slapped his hands on the tops of her shoulders enough to make her jump. Leaning forward he whispered into her ear. Oh, he so wasn't going to let her win-
"My little Sunshine, you really can't say things like that or I won't be able to control myself-"
He teased into her ear lightly blowing making shivers shock through her body.
"Especially out here..."
"Where there's no one around..."
But the girl was completely still holding her ground.
"And?" She retorted
"What if I want that?"
"..."
"Just k-keep w-walking would y-ya!?" His voice cracked near the end making her break out in laughter.
Vyra Fernandes... Oh what you do to this boy. His body began to sweat with his face already flushed.
Heheh.
Victory.
"Okay, we're almost there-"
"Really!? But we just got off the tra-"
When a familiar scent filled up her nostrils, Vyra's stomach clenched.
Sweet pastries and fresh baked bread swirled around through the air. What a delightful smell. One that was all too familiar... The bakery in Magnolia. She would pass by there every morning on her way to the guild.
"S-Sting-" She stuttered coming to a halt as her body went numb
Hearing the waiver in her voice, she was on to him. This was the moment, he didn't want to face... but it was inevitable. She has to go back to them... and as much as it hurt the dragon slayer, he himself knew that it was the right thing to do.
Sting still holding onto Vyra's shoulders looked past her view to stare at the pink haired fire dragon slayer across the cobblestone Street.
"Vy-"
Hearing his voice, Vyra let out a gasp forcefully ripping off her blindfold. Blinking due to the sudden brightness, it took a minute for the girl to take in her surroundings.
She hasn't been in Magnolia since...
The disbandment.
Love. The blonde didn't know the moonlight all his life, but when they were together they just fit like a puzzle.
They talked about their struggles, Vyra in fact told him everything. Jellal, Laxus, The Tower Of Heaven, Fairy Tail...
Although, Sting was very interested. He's looked up to Fairy Tail since he was a little kid himself, learning all of the members and the experiences that they went through captivated him.
Fairy Tail sure was amazing...
It was as if they knew each other forever, she felt so comfortable with Sting. Honestly what was it that pulled them in?
Noticing Natsu's bright pink hair right away, she turned pale as a ghost.
Shaking out of the blondes hold, she snapped turning back around. Enraged, her glassy cerulean orbs matched his dark blue ones as Natsu began to walk over.
"Why..."
"Why'd you bring me here!?"
She shakily shouted making the light dragon slayer's throat close up. God, if he could swallow glass right now he would-
"You..."
"...need to go back-" He uttered, unable to match her gaze
. . .
"And who are you to decide what I want?!" She skeptically eyed the blonde's body in disbelief. She couldn't believe what she was hearing.
Sting...
Sting was different.
She loved-
"Vyra please-"
Eyes narrowing to the ground, her heart almost shattered. One more... one more crack, and that was it. A band aid won't be able to fix it anymore...
"Are you... breaking up with... me?"
'Breaking up with?' He repeated in his mind before frantically spazzing
"W-WHat?! N-NO! Never!"
"Listen to me when I say this..." He grabbed her tiny hands with his strong ones
"Vyra, I love you."
"I love you more than I've ever learned to love something..."
"Fairy Tail is your life. You being in Sabertooth for this past year has been the most wonderful thing that could've ever happened to me, but you and I both know it-"
"If Fairy Tail was ever to reestablish, you wouldn't hesitate to jump... and now it's your chance-"
"I love you. And I will always love you."
Taken back by his sudden confession, the bluenette was completely and utterly speechless. All she could do was stare.
He loved her?
"I'm not going anywhere V. Just because were in different guilds doesn't mean jack-" He winked
"You're still my girl, the sun that lights my way~"
The dragon slayer did his best to try to make the conversation more lighthearted which ultimately worked as the girl let out a giggle, tears about to slip out of her eyes.
'Sting Eucliffe, wow...'
'You are the brightest light I've seen...'
"Jeez... what a mouth full, you blonde idiot-" Vyra leaned forward wrapping her arms around his neck lifting her body upward up on her tippy toes
"I love you too ya dummy..." She smiled letting her emotions to all the talking. The blonde and bluenette embraced to then share a longing lip lock.
"..."
"A-Ahhem..."
The light duo turned around to face the fire dragon slayer lightly blushing in embarrassment having to watch that confessional scene from the side.
Natsu and Vyra over the years had a very platonic relationship. In the beginning, his feelings were a bit stronger at first... but due to her relationship with Gray, having to take on more of the protective roll-
His overall mindset changed.
Smiling at the Dragon slayer's reaction, her and Sting pulled away.
Walking hand-in-hand towards the guild hall following Natsu, Vyra didn't realize how nervous she was. Not that she was scared, just anxious. She hasn't seen any of the other members of Fairy Tail in over a year.
And soon the bluenette came to realize that she has to deal with him again.
Oh, and not only that... Erza too.
But to be reunited with her family, that was a part of it. Vyra hated to admit it, but unfortunately they were a part of the family too.
Sting has been uneasy about the whole situation. Will seeing the ice mage bring up repressed emotions she held down for so long?
It hurt him to think about it, but Sting had trust in the girl.
.
.
.
She wouldn't leave him for that scumbag right?
Fairy Tail Construction Sight
"Hey Happy! Look over here! I went fishing and scored two really big fish for ya!" The dragon slayer aloofly shouted catching the others attention
"I'm...not big..." Vyra muttered under her breath making Sting crack a smile
"FISH?!" The blue exceed spazzed
"Natsu, you went fishing on the job?!" Lucy turned to criticize the pyro holding a hammer in her hand before her eyes caught wind of the two sabertooth wizards trailing behind him
Sting on the right, Vyra on the left, hands intertwined.
Arms crossed with a cheeky grin, the fire dragon slayer was thrilled. So thrilled that his cheeks hurt from smiling too hard.
His best friend... his other half, was back. When he received a call on that lacrima communication device thing Erza introduced him to, Natsu was surprised to hear Sting on the other end of the line.
His tone was serious... and Sting's not that much of a serious guy, so it concerned him. (Neither is Natsu, but that's beside the point xD)
"Heyooo!" Sting rose up an arm catching everyones attention
One Week Ago
"Hey Erza! How the heck do ya use this thing?!" The fire dragon slayer spazzed holding up the ringing lacrimal device
"Remind me to give you a proper lesson later-" The redhead let out a sigh forcefully tapping the answer button shoving it into the salamanders face.
"Uh- H-Hello?" The boy stuttered holding the device to his ear
"I don't know Erza I think ya broke it-"
"Natsu..."
Blinking in surprise hearing the raspy voice, the dragon slayers demeanour changed in a matter of seconds realizing who called him.
"Yo Sting! What up man!"
"..."
"Hey listen, you got a sec?"
Instinctively without saying a word, Natsu was able to pinpoint the exact root of the problem. What else would he be calling him about?
"It's Vyra..."
Gripping the side of his bed clenching his sheets, the blonde was trying not to spiral.
Was this the right decision?
Will she hate him after?
He's not doing it in spite-
It's because he loves her... that he has to let her go.
"I know how much she cares about you guys, even though she's upset right now... Fairy Tail needs their Sunlight Goddess..."
"Fairy Tail is where she belongs..."
"Would ya help me?"
Present
"Woah!"
"Is that Vyra?"
"...and Sabertooth?"
As the three entered the Fairy Tail construction site, their presence was easily spotted. That and the dragon slayers we're both loud and boisterous so that added another element of the spotlight.
Lovely.
"VYRA!" Happy flew straight into the bluenette's chest with tears leaking out of his eyes
Hearing the shout of the girl's name, caught the attention of other Fairy Tail members in the surrounding area. Specifically catching the ice mage's ear.
"L-Lady Vyra!"
The bluenette dropped to her knees comically throwing Happy over her shoulder watching the little black cat run towards her at full speed.
"L-LILY!" She opened her arms making Sting lightly jump at her excited squeal as the little exceed jumped into her chest
Wow. What a reunion.
"What am I? Chopped liver?!" The blue furred cat cried
"Don't ya worry about it lil' buddy-" Natsu picked up Happy
Eyes all locked on the small group, many of the Fairy Tail members gasped slowly putting two into together. She was hanging out with the master of the Sabertooth guild? Why? For what reason?
Until they noticed her bright white sabertooth guild mark on the front of her left thigh.
"VYRA'S A MEMBER OF SABERTOOTH?!"
"Hm... I never seen that coming-" Maccao put a hand up to his chin
"I figure she would be with her brother if anything-" Romeo added dropping a pile of wood on the ground
Weird...
"Hey kid-"
Looking up from Lily, Vyra matched a pair of piercing red eyes.
"I'm not a kid if we're the same age, Gajeel..." The bluenette rolled her eyes before accepting his open hand to help her stand back up
"Hey man, long time no see!" Sting rose up a friendly hand as the iron dragon slayer just stared... deep into his soul, making the blonde suddenly nervous
"Where's the other one-"
The sabertooth couple blinked a few times before they realized who he was talking about.
Ahh-
Rogue.
Well, it made sense. Sting never went anywhere without Rogue by his side, and vice versa... accompanied by Lector and Frosch of course.
"He's uhh- back a-at the guild-" The blonde stuttered scratching the back of his head as now Natsu began to stare.
For whatever reason, Natsu wanted to keep an eye on Rogue and Sting listened. Not knowing the reason why, he was confused at first... but fully trusted the fire dragon.
"Hey look Carla, Vyra's here!" Wendy smiled holding her water bottle
"Looks like Natsu's and Sting's plan worked after all, isn't this great?" She turned to the little white exceed as she nodded along
A little far behind, a certain ice mage heard the whole thing. On the top of the ladder, his back twisted almost eighty degrees looking over in the direction noticing her bright blue beautiful locks...
He needed to see her. Talk to her.
But...
"Here you go my darling~"
Water rose up to the boy's location with five or so nails on the top so her could use them. Sweat dropping at Juvia's usual antics, he let out an annoyed sigh.
"Oh, uhh... t-thanks..."
"Okay then, let's get cracking-" Sting stretched before going over to pick up a shovel making Vyra's eyes widen turning to face him
"Wait-"
"You're staying?"
Hearing her sudden tone of voice, Sting made a sour expression holding the back of his head aloofly.
"What? You thought I was going to drop you off and split?"
"Now... that's not a very manly thing to do, is it Sunshine?" He comically pestered the blunette, catching the attention of the middle Strauss sibling
"Ha! I like this guy!" Elfman smirked crossing his arms
Letting out a small smile, the bluenette eyed the blonde. Oh, how thankful she was for him.
As the couple began to get to work, others were about to start their break. Watching Sting and Vyra interact, the gossip cloud began to swirl.
"Hey, you know what I heard about those two?" Max smirked
"They're totally shacking up-"
"What?!"
"No Way!" Kinana and Laki spazzed
"I thought Vyra and Gray were endgame?" Levy leaned forward from her giant pile of paperwork
"Sting and Vyra... t-together?!" The purple haired girls gasped
"You know... as in it takes two to tango?" Wakaba puffed his cigar with a smirk
"The ol' hippidee dippadee-" Makao winked as they began to laugh
With their revolting jokes about the couple, others didn't exactly find it very comical...
"What makes it even more gross is that you two out of all people are talking about Sting and Vyra hooking up-"
Cana rolled her eyes before taking a swig of her beer making Wakaba and Macao look like some old pathetic perverts
"W-Whatt? No!" They spazzed with flushed cheeks
"Two older men talking about wizards that are thirty years younger than them 'getting it on' is kinda disgusting-"
"CANA!" The men shouted in full embarrassment
"Getting it on?" Wendy repeated in question sitting on one of the wooden logs
"What does that mean?"
"Not a clue-" Romeo stood next to her snapping open his water bottle
"S-SOMETHING Y-YOU TWO W-WILL NEVER N-NEED TO KNOW!"
"I only know what I know from an article in Sorcerer Weekly! Promise!" Wakaba clasped his hands together
"The master of Sabertooth has been linked to a mysterious girl and by the looks of it, it's our Vyra!" Macao shouted
I mean, that made sense. Sting Eucliffe was one of the youngest guild master's ever seen. Of course Sorcerer Weekly would be all over him... and Vyra, especially now-
Hated the spotlight. Very few members of Fairy Tail actually knew of Vyra's location during the gap year.
Such as Lucy, from Yukino... as well as doing her own digging-
Mira and Lisanna found when she and Sting went to the pub that they happened to be working at-
And surprisingly Lyon from Lamia Scale...
"Who give a damn if they're shacking up, everyone's old enough to make their own choices..."
"Isn't that right?"
Gajeel proclaimed putting a heavy hand on the smaller overworked girl's shoulder making her instantly stiffen.
"Y-Yeah... r-right..." Levy nervously smiled before quickly diving back into her paperwork catching everyone off guard blinking in surprise
Well...
.
.
.
That was weird.
"Sting, I don't think it's supposed to go that way-"
"Whatya talkin' about? Of course it does-"
From below, Vyra held onto the bottom of the ladder keeping it stable as the dragon slayer was about ten feet above assembling some metal beams
"Be careful please-" She pleaded watching the dragon slayer stretch, trying to reach the spot where the beam should go
"Careful?" He twisted his body to face her
"I'm always carefu- ARGHHHH-"
And with that, the boy tripped over his foot losing his balance beginning to dramatically fall from the ladder. Vyra flinched before her instincts took over. Shifting her body to the right, catching him in her arms. Sting blinked a few times, surprised he didn't break his neck and looked up to match Vyra's bright blue orb's staring into his, before his signature smirk broke out.
"My knight and shining armour-" He dramatically put a hand up to head his playing the 'damsel in distress' causing Vyra to beam out a smile
'What an idiot...' She thought rolling her eyes
...
'But he's my idiot...'
From Around The Corner...
"Wow, look at Vyra and Sting-" Lucy turned with a gasp catching Natsu's attention watching the Sabertooth couple comically laugh and smile
"I know it's been a while... but this is the first time I've seen her smile-"
"She's so happy around him-" Her voice softened, eyes narrowing to the ground
"Natsu, I'm worried. What if Vyra-"
"It's not going to happen Lucy." The dragon slayer cut her off
"Were her family and family sticks together-" He proclaimed without a waver in his voice.
Confidence... that's a quality from the dragon slayer that Lucy totally admired. His confidence to aspire and be positive through the roughest situations...
It was amazing.
Seeing Vyra hold Sting in her arms even brought a small smile to his own face, and when she dropped him like a can of worms... hysteria.
After all, Everybody loves a strong woman.
.
.
.
With hours of hard work and labor put behind them, the sun was slowly beginning to set as the shining stars began to peek out from behind the fluffy clouds.
...
"Yo Sting!"
"How long are ya going to be in town for? If you don't got a place to stay, you could always bunk with us!" Natsu smiled alongside Happy sitting on his shoulders
"Nah man, don't worry your empty little head about that-" Sting swatted his hand back and forth in a modest way
'Empty?' Happy repeated
"Little?" Natsu gasped realizing the blonde dragon slayers dis towards him
"Thanks for the offer, but I'll be staying at an Inn. You guys recently reunited, spend time with your guild man!" Sting smiled in a humbling manner putting a light hand on the fire dragon slayers shoulder showing his appreciation
"What about you Vyra?" Levy questioned walking up to the girl next to him
"Me and the girls are back at Fairy hills or what's left of it at least-" The smaller girl sweat dropped
"You're welcome to stay with one of us!"
However, Vyra shuttered at the thought. Sting's proclamation of being reunited... spending time together... Is that what she should do? She should be happy... shouldn't she?
Vyra wanted to be with Fairy Tail... That's why she was here. If the Moonlight mage didn't, she'd be back at Sabertooth. In all honesty the girl just didn't feel comfortable.
So her answer was...
"I go, wherever he goes."
Surprised, everyone blinked, taken off guard... even Sting. Her chest ached as her anxiety began to swirl. She was too afraid at the moment to be left alone with her former comrades. Not that they would harm her in any way obviously, it's just...
The emotional trauma...
Vyra didn't want to relive it.
Not yet at least...
"Awwww little Sunshine, miss me already?" The blonde teased making her face instantly flush causing everyone to stare after her outburst
"I DO NOT!"
That was the loudest any of the Fairy Tail members have heard the Moonlight Mage as of today... and Sting was the one to bring it out of her.
"Whatever you say sweetheart-" He winked before wrapping an arm around her shoulders continuing on towards the Inn
"You better watch it-" She pouted, eyes glaring
"Should I?" The poked poked fun as she let out a defeated sigh as the remaining Fairy Tail members in the area watched the mages head off.
"Is it me... or Vyra and Sting seem a little too close?" Lisanna walked forward in question as the rest of the guild members begin to speculate
"..."
"They're good for each other." Taken by surprise at the fire dragon slayers comment, the Fairy Tail guild members stared at the boy
"Natsu..." Lucy gasped
"He loves her... and she loves him." Natsu's eyes lingered on the back of Sting and Vyra's bickering figures watching them walk down the cobble street sidewalk
And cue the mania.
"WHAT?!"
"WHEN DID YOU BECOME A LOVE EXPERT?!" Happy shook the boy back and forth standing on his chest as his little paws pushed and pulled the dragon slayer
"VYRA AND STING?!
"T-TOGETHER!?"
From all the rumours flying around, they didn't know what to believe... until they heard it confirmed by the dragon slayer himself. Natsu being the closest to Vyra, they knew his words were genuine when it came to her.
"I mean, think about it you guys-" Levy put a hand on her hip
"Vyra is the goddess of light energy, and Sting is the white light dragon slayer... to me it sounds like it was destined for them to meet each other-" She spoke as Lucy clasped her hands together
"Oh my gosh! This sounds like a romance novel! I should get writing right away!" She spazzed making Natsu and the boys facepalm
. . .
Sting Eucliffe and Vyra Fernandes... Huh. Who would've thought?
Radiant Inn (With Sting and Vyra)
"Wow, check out this room-"
"Pretty cool, dontcha think?" The dragon slayer tossed the hotel keys onto the side table before taking of his shoes and stretched
Vyra on the other hand didn't say a word. Her anxiety was thriving at the moment. Was he leaving tomorrow? Would this be their last night... together?
She's been glued to the blonde since the very beginning... joining Sabertooth, and now he wouldn't be around everyday...
What will she do without him?!
If Vyra didn't want anything to do with Fairy Tail... she'd be back at Sabertooth having a beer with Olga and Rufus right about now... but instead she was here...
Consciously, her body wanted to march back right into the Sabertooth Guild...
Subconsciously, her heart was telling her to stay...
and the heart always wants what it wants...
Checking out the lavish hotel room, Sting curiously waltzed throughout the room, turning on all the lights, opening doors, making his way to the kitchen, then onto the bathroom...
Knowing the guild master from such a prominent guild chose their hotel, the employees opted to get the best room available for the blonde and his lady. Perks of being a guild master... a young and charming one...
"Woah, Vyra! Check it out!"
"There are jet's in the bathtub!" He spazzed like a child receiving a lollypop for the first time
"We should try it out, whatcha say?" His voice deepened into a sensual manner trying to get the bluenette riled up but unfortunately for him, it didn't work this time.
Giving up, he walked back over to the bed to which Vyra was sitting on the side of. Stripping off his clothes down to his boxers (B/c that's how he slept) he threw them on the chair letting them hang before getting under the sheets finally letting his muscles relax. Turning on his side, he faced the girl.
"Vyra?"
Her silence was unsettling as he sat back up. Cranking her head over, the bluenette's eyes were puffy... tear stained.
"S-Sting..." She stuttered turning the other way, her back facing him
"I...don't...want you to...leave me..."
Hearing her broken voice, made the dragon slayer break himself.
"I want to stay... but I want to go home..." She turned to face him with a harsh amount of confusion mixed with psychotic sadness
"Being without you..."
"Shit, shit, shit!" She eccentrically spazzed losing control of her emotions
"Gray was the only other person I loved before, and I NEVER felt like this!" She ranked her fingers through her tangled hair
Vyra...
Was never good at... feelings...
But hearing the ice mage's name slip out of her mouth... He wasn't going to lie. That burned. Like boiling water to the skin.
"I don't want to be apart from you, I like you being next to me every single day-"
"No, I NEED you next to me..." She cut herself off realizing how much she desperate for the blonde
"Vyra-" Sting's eyes deepened in colour propping himself up on his elbows looking like a mythological god from an old painting with the way he was positioned.
The upper part of his naked body showed off, while his lower half was covered by the purple lilac silk sheets.
. . .
"This isn't a marriage proposal is it?"
Face instantly heating up, she wasn't taking it anymore. How was he able to sneak something snarky in?
Grabbing the closest thing to her, Vyra stormed over to the edge of their shared bed smacking him in the back of the head with the fluffy pillow
"WOULD YOU SHUT UP AND BE SERIOUS FOR ONCE IN YOUR LIFE?!"
"I'm as serious as a heart attack, babe-" He said calmly watching her fluttering figure
"Vyra, I didn't bring you here because I wanted you to... I knew deep down it's what you want my love-" He leaned forward to cradle her face
"And you're too much of a kind soul to leave yourself..." His thumb circled around her temple
"Vyra-" He paused
"You know I'm not dying-"
"Y-Yeah..."
"I'm still going to visit, and you're always welcome to stay with us too you know-"
"I-I know..." Her voice softened plopping back down onto the bed
"So enough with the doom and gloom yeah?"
To be honest, he couldn't take much more of her depressing demeanour. It made his chest tight as feelings of guilt began to take over.
But why feel guilty? Because he pushed her into this? She wanted to be with Fairy Tail...this... this was the right thing to do.
But that didn't mean it didn't hurt...
"Here, come here-" He widened his arms as the girl watched his welcoming figure. Feeling her anxiety leave her body, she crawled across the bed accepting his embrace.
She felt her mind calm itself when the feeling of firm, warm hands caressed her torso. Their heart beats synchronized as their breaths soon followed in a simple rhythm.
From shallow hyperventilated breaths to calm and relaxed ones.
This is good, he calmed her down.
The smell of vanilla filled her nostrils as she buried her face into the crevice of his neck letting the shiny end of his earring tickle the bridge of her nose. With a tight lipped smile, she squeezed her arms around him even tighter.
How was he always able to make her happy at the end of the day?
This feeling...
'Oh-'
It was because she loved him.
Finally coming to terms... and comfortably admitting it, the thought itself made her giggle like a stupid school girl.
"Vyra-" Sting slightly pulled away as she watched him instantly cutting him off
"Sting-"
Their eyes matched but no words were said.
. . .
"Thank you."
Watching the bluenette in front of him, the blonde was left speechless.
"Just... thank you."
"Anything for my angel-" He kisses the top of her head
Angel? Hm. That was a new one.
...
And she liked it.
Getting ready for bed, the girl proceeded to take off her tank top and shorts stripping down to her matching black bra and panties. Her and Sting we're no strangers to each other's bodies.
It was never awkward at all. Sting has seen Vyra through her most vulnerable moments which the bluenette found way more embarrassing than her being half naked in front of him.
If you think about it, undergarments were just like bathing suites... and it didn't phase her that she was walking around their hotel room the way she was.
Shutting off the lights before getting into the bed, she lifted the covers and slid her body underneath. The coolness of the silk sheets brought the tensions of her stressed muscles down, ready to fall asleep.
About to close her eyes and drift off to dreamland... a jolt spooked her. Snapping her eyes open, the bluenette was met with a dragon slayer straddling her waist, pinning her wrists above her head with one hand.
His eyes were darkened full of lust making her cheeks instantly burn at their position.
'W-Woah-'
The blonde's breaths deepened ever so slightly as he continued to meet her gaze, before his fingers unintentionally dug into her wrists a little bit harder.
Her mouth fell ajar a bit at the heated, pressure sensation, even though the dragon slayer was so clearly watching her intently. She couldn't help it when her eyes barely glazed over... half lidded.
Subtly swiping her tongue across her bottom lip, Sting's ocean eyes immediately trailed down to the movement as he slowly started to study her lips before letting out a horse groan.
Vyra's cheeks were completely flushed letting her back arch as her hormonal emotions took control of her body.
"I-If we do this-" Sting lifted his torso up before quickly hovering, inches away from her lips
"I won't be able to stop... sunshine-"
Pondering for a moment, Vyra's mind was stuck in the clouds. They wouldn't get a wink of sleep if they were going to do what they were planning to do... and tomorrow was a big day.
One thing to know about Vyra is, if she doesn't get her sleep... she turns into a satanic monster. Yeah, it's not a pretty sight.
"I-"
"U-Uh-"
She tried to focus on any other object in the room, unable to face the dragon slayer straddling her thighs. Her slow breaths had gradually started turning into shallow huffs.
'Pull it together Vyra!'
"We..."
...
"S-Should g-go to s-sleep..."
Staring at the flustered girl underneath him, woah. What a sight. At first Sting didn't know what came over him.
Seeing how comfortable they were around each other, not to mention his crazy boy hormones arose at the sight of her... and her light energy... It was as if his dragon slayer instincts took over.
The Sunlight Goddess was all his.
What a lucky man he was to have her in is life, but no man takes advantage of a lady... so he asked.
"Roger that-" He narrowed his eyes in a slightly defeated manner before lifting his warm body off of her, letting his head hit the pillow.
The bluenette turned on her side facing the boy, wrapping her arms around him as he did the same. Just because they weren't going to 'do it' doesn't mean they couldn't be close.
"Vyra?" Sting raked his fingers through her blue locks
"I love you."
Smiling at the sentence, she inched forward and planted a soft kiss on his sweet lips.
.
.
.
"I love you too... Sting."
A/N: I write Sting so well, I'm so proud of myself.
I think it's the longest chapter I've ever written for this fanfic. Sting and Vyra... did I convince you yet that they are an AMAZING couple?!
I'm really excited to write Gray's interactions with Vyra next, it's going to be an interesting one for sure, now that she's in love with Sting.
