Bergljot honestly didn't see the appeal of going to a hot spring. Judging from the way that Sagitta had described it, it was just floating in hot water. She could have heated up the bath or the fountain at the Butterfly castle if she wanted to do that. But both Maria and Amber had encouraged her to give it a try.

It apparently had something with her spending too much time with Lacerta and the rest of the guys. Said she needed some 'girl time'. Whatever that was supposed to mean. She figured since she was supposed to be trying to blend in and adjust that it might be taken as rude to refuse, so she agreed to go along despite her disinterest.

Honestly she had been starting to regret it.

"You just gonna sit there and sulk all day red? I mean the whole point of coming here is to relax. But you look more uptight than ever," Wisteria said, smirking at the redhead from the other side of the water. "Are you always so winded up?"

Sagitta hummed as she floated in the water nearby. "Yep," she answered. She had never seen Bergljot look relaxed even once. She doubted that the girl knew how.

Bergljot grunted. "This isn't relaxing. It's just hot water…" Again, she could have gone this at any lake, fountain, or bath rub. What was supposed to be nice about this?

"It's not just hot water," Delphine said, rolling her eyes. "The Jaggy springs have all sorts of minerals and stuff that help your skin. Just you watch, as soon as you get out of here your skin will be as smooth as a baby's bottom."

Bergljot looked down at her hand. "I won't want soft skin. Won't that just make it easier for my enemies to pierce or cut through me?" she asked. Were they serious? Not only was this not relaxing, but it was going to weaken her. Did females in this dimension really have such ridiculous rituals?

"It's not gonna make you…! Seriously? Where did you find this girl?" Delphine asked, looking over towards Sagitta and Aqua. There was something about her cousin's side of the family that just ended up bringing weirdness around them.

"Well, I for one don't think there's anything wrong with the girl being combat minded. She clearly had her priorities straight," Scent said crossing her arms. She looked over towards Bergljot. "Don't fret however. This won't weaken or hinder you. If anything it'll help you. Keeping your guard up is important, but tensing your muscles for too long isn't good. One must take chances to relax if they are to be at their best when it matters."

The redhead blinked, and then hummed, looking somewhat relieved. Wisteria laughed at the two. "Wow, so I guess you guys are both fluent battle crazed bitch," she joked.

"Yeah!"

There was a splash, and everyone looked towards the middle of the spring where Simmer had canon balled inside. She came back up and cheered. "Simmer, what did we talk about? No canon balls. We're supposed to be relaxing," Delphine said.

"Sorry sis," the young half-breed said casually.

Bergljot growled towards the young girl. "Stop being annoying and making noise. You're annoying me," she said bluntly.

Simmer blew a raspberry at her, and Bergljot looked like she was seconds away from strangling the girl. But Delphine spoke up. "What do you care about loud noises and being annoying? You hang out with Lacerta and his goons," she said. They were some of the most obnoxious people in mewni.

Wisteria hummed. "Yeah, I was gonna ask about that. What's the deal with your joining them? I mean King Astro giving you a guide makes sense, but… Lacerta?" He had his shit together when it came to dealing with rebels and stuff like that, but as a guide? She just couldn't see it honestly.

"I'm simply doing what King Astro asked of me," Bergljot said. She didn't think she needed a guide or guardian really. It wasn't as if there was anything here that could be a real threat to her. But Thor had told her to just go along with it to make things go smoothly, and she didn't want to make much of a fuss.

Aqua huffed before popping another piece of candy in her mouth. "Well, you're more patient than I am. I couldn't bear having to spend all day with those dum-dums." Her brother was bad enough, but the rest of them with it? Unbearable as anything but test subjects. Then again, she had that opinion about half the people here, so…

Delphine smirked. "You got that right. They're just a bunch of thugs. Uncle Astro is crazy to even consider making Lacerta King," she said. Then again, he had chosen that slacker Sandor as a Zodiac above her, so his judgement was already questionable. She could sort of see why her daddy and him argued a lot. "The rest aren't better. Raza acts all timid, but as soon as he gets into a fight he's nothing but a brute. And Dagon is just-"

The princess suddenly heard something whizz by her head, went wide eyed as rock nearby the spring was suddenly smashed into pieces. Everyone looked over towards Ravana, who was casually leaning on the edge of the spring. "Oops, my hand slipped," she said, letting the other drop of water drip down from her hand.

Delphine glared back at her. "Oh come on. Don't act like that brother of yours is prince charming. He's a total nutcase. I don't know any sane girl who would even wanna be within a mile of him," she said simply.

"As if you're one to talk about crazy brothers," Wisteria said amused. "Turq may catch the girl's attention, but those other two? I'll be shocked if Phyrus' little smart ass ever finds anyone, and Vander isn't exactly selling himself to anybody either."

Delphine was about to snap at her in defense of her brothers, but someone beat her to it. "T-that's not true!" Azalea said. "Vander might be a little excitable, but he's really nice. And I think… you know, there's some girl that… you know…"

Simmer snickered at the other girl. "Wow, you got it bad huh?"

"I'm not talking about me!" Azalea said quickly. "I just mean any girl."

"Or boy. We don't know how he swings yet," Wisteria said deviously.

Azalea's eyes went wide. She hadn't even considered that. She thought she was lucky that he just hadn't noticed, but maybe…

Delphine huffed. "I'll admit my little brothers might not seem like the coolest, but that's only because people are always comparing them to me. And that's just not far," she said simply. Anybody would look lame if they were getting stacked up against her. "Also, are we really talking about not selling ourselves? Because you're always on Dorado like glue, and he ended up picking up some chick from another dimension," she said, a smug look on her face.

Wisteria kept the smile on her face, but it was clear she had struck a nerve. "You really shouldn't talk. You don't know the first thing about boys. Daddy's little princess probably hasn't even had her first kid," she said. "And even if he wasn't chasing them away, I'm pretty sure that rotten ass attitude would."

Delphine glared back at her, and Simmer spoke up in her big sis' defense. "Don't get salty goop for brains. Instead of going after Dorado why don't you aim for someone a little easier? I know Pavo is always looking for someone to-" Another drop of water flew by Simmer's head, and everyone once more looked towards Ravana surprised.

She was glaring. "My hand slipped again…"

"Seriously? Over Pavo? The guy's a succubus," Delphine said, confused. "It's literally in his DNA to be a horndog." Her daddy had always told her to stay away from the King's Crew, not that she needed to be told, but Pavo in particular was to be avoided. Hody didn't want him trying to paw at his little princess.

Ravana rolled her eyes. "Just because he's an Incubus doesn't mean he's just going around controlling girls minds. I bet your old man filled your head with that crap."

"Okay, you might be right about that. But there's something way more important here. Aside from your brother and Cetus, I have seen you defend anyone, over anything, ever," Wisteria said, raising an eyebrow. "So why the hell are you suddenly speaking up for Pavo? What's up with that?"

Ravana scowled. "I just hate hearing that type of stuff get spread around. It's why some monsters end up having it so much harder in places like the Waterfolk kingdom."

"Hey! Big sis kingdom treats monsters fine!" Simmer yelled, shaking her fist at Ravana. She always got treated nicely whenever she went there.

"It has gotten better I think. My parents said it used to be a lot worse," Azalea added.

"It's better for certain species of monsters," Ravana said bluntly. "Ones closely related to ones the king likes to sleep with."

"You're out of line!" Delphine snapped, the water shifting around her. "You shut your mouth about my parents!"

"You want to try and make me?"

Ravana and Delphine both glared at one another, the water in the spring ripple around both of them. "Oh my, how interesting," Scent said intrigued. Wisteria looked just as amused. Now this was gonna be a hell of a show.

"Kick her ass big sis!" Simmer yelled, shaking her fist.

Azalea looked nervous. "Guys, we shouldn't be fighting here…"

Sagitta sighed. "Seriously? Why can't we ever go anywhere without things like this happening?" she asked. She didn't want them fighting and getting them kicked out, but she sure as heck wasn't gonna step in between them either.

Aqua said nothing, simply sitting back and observing. She was almost certain she knew how this was going to turn out, but it was still worth seeing it through.

Just as it seemed like they were about to go at it, a figure popped up from the surface of the water. Everyone's attention immediately turned towards Rain, who was smiling brightly. "Ha! I told you I could stay under there for five minutes! I bet if I really tried I could hold it for ten like mom!"

"Oh my goodness, I forgot you were under there…" Sagitta said wide eyed.

"I didn't," Aqua said, crossing her arms. "And it was four minutes and fifty two seconds."

"No it wasn't! It was five minutes even!"

"I didn't start counting until you hit the bottom."

"That's not fair!"

"Neither is life. Give me my candy."

"Hey, where did red go?"

Everyone stopped and then looked around, realizing that Bergljot was now gone. "If you mean the scary red headed lady, she left a while ago," Rain said pointing.

Lacerta laughed as he threw Hati to the ground. The wolf tumbled to the ground, but then quickly rolled back up to his feet and charged as the young titan once more. He tackled Lacerta, who while being pushed back managed to hold his ground and push him down to the ground. "Nice try! You're feeling lively today boy, but I-!"

A pair of arms suddenly wrapped around his neck, yanking him back and pulling him into a chokehold. He was caught off guard, and immediately shot a wave of flames from his back. But the grip didn't loosen at all. "Are those the hottest flames you can conjure when surprised? If I were an enemy you'd be dead."

"What the hell?!" Lacerta said looking over his shoulder at Bergljot, who had a smug smirk on her face. "You sneak attacking bitch!"

"You should have sensed me coming," she said before throwing him to the ground. He rolled forward and then turned back towards her as she dusted her hands off.

"What the hell are you doing here? I thought you were having a spa day or whatever," he said rubbing his neck. His mother had told him she had gone off with his sisters and the rest of the girls to the Jaggy mountains. Here he was thinking he would have a day off from babysitting, yet here she was.

Bergljot cracked her neck and then got into a fighting stance. "I left. It was boring. You and Hati are sparring aren't you? I'm joining." It was much more productive than just sitting in warm water all day.

Lacerta snorted. "Not down for spending the day with the girls? I totally thought you'd be all for that," he said with a smirk.

"They're insufferable," Bergljot said, shaking her head. She found herself annoyed with the King's Crew at times. Particularly with Lacerta. But as annoying as they could get at times, she could never say, unlike today, that she was bored. "Try not to be as disappointing as this 'spa day' was today."

Lacerta cracked his knuckles and got ready to fight. While playing with Hati was fun, it was hardly real training. "You better not be all soft and shit from the soaking all day. I don't plan on holding back just cause you got all pampered up," he said.

"At my worst I'm still more than a match for you," Bergljot said before charging at him.

The two clashed, trading a flurry of blows. The others could keep their warm water and chatter. This was how a warrior like her relaxed and cut loose.

A/N: Bergljot doesn't really like to chill in traditional ways, and she definitely isn't one for girl talk. She's not the type of can relax in a... you know, relaxed setting lol. Also thought it'd just be cool to show some of the others future au girls interacting. Hope you guys enjoyed.
