A/N: It is Luke and Leia's birthday. In earth time their birthday is on May 4th.
Chapter 73 – Birthday Lunch
2 weeks later:
The day came a little foggy. Ines woke up and looking at her right she smiled seeing Luke sleeping. Today was his 24th birthday alongside with Leia's and she would have a busy day. She had a surprise for tonight but there was another surprise that it was about to come that morning.
Getting out of bed slowly she went to Ben's bedroom and smiled when she saw her 10 weeks old baby already awake, looking at the X-Wing's mobile spinning around on top of him.
"Hey little guy. Awake already and you didn't cry. That's new" she smiled and she picking him up. "I sense someone needs a diaper change" she laughed kissing her son's cheek and laying him on the changing table, she smile as Ben was focus on his hands and putting inside his mouth, something he liked to do a lot lately. After changing him, she kissed his little feet making the baby smile and kicking them "I'm going to eat this little feet" she said laughing at the sight of her son.
Picking him up, she looked at him
"How about we make your father's breakfast since today it is his birthday" she said making the baby smile and put his wet hands on her cheeks "I take that as a yes" she laughed and went to the kitchen with R2 behind her and laying Ben inside the floating crib, she started to make breakfast for the birthday boy.
She smiled thinking that months ago she didn't know how to crack an egg and now she was cooking a perfect meal for her husband. And today she was cooking to her family. Since it was Leia's birthday too, she decided that the lunch would be at her apartment, then at night she already had some reservations on a fancy restaurant and a suite on a high hotel in Coruscant. She already pick up the dress and that he needs to wear a tux she already had for him.
Also she had a big surprise for him and probably for Leia too.
Finishing the breakfast, she picked up Ben and with the force she made the tray coming behind her. Once she entered the bedroom, Ines smiled seeing Luke sleeping on his left. He looked so beautiful even in his sleep. Putting the tray on the foot on the bed, and laying Ben on her side of the bed, and smiling she got on top of him and kissing his shoulder and his neck, she reached his ear and whispered:
"Happy Birthday love of my life" smiling when she saw a smile appearing on Luke's face, and opening his eyes he rolled on his back and wrapping his arms around her waist he took her lips on his. "What a nice way to wake up"
"Hey like I never woke you up like this before" she laughed and looked at him "Look to your left cause there is another person who wants to say Happy Birthday to his father" she said standing up from Luke as he looked to his left and smiling watching his son.
"Hey big fella" he said and grabbing his son, he lay his baby on his chest. "Good morning my boy" smiling when he smiled back him.
Ines took the tray
"Since today is your birthday, you have the right to have breakfast in bed and today there will be a family lunch with Han and Leia, like you already know but we will have some special guests. But at night you have a special suit for you cause we will have dinner in a fancy restaurant and we will spend our night in the high hotel of Coruscant. Just the two of us"
Luke sat down and holding his son, he looked at the tray
"That is a birthday breakfast for sure" he laughed and handling Ben to Ines he started to eat. "But babe what about Ben? Han and Leia will go out for dinner too."
"I know. Don't worry, our little treasure will not be alone. Chewie will be here with R2 and 3PO and I told someone is arriving and stay here for a few days" she smiled at him.
"You've being acting very mysterious lately and you close your mind in the past days for me" he frown
"That is because I don't want you to know the surprise" she winked at him. "Just wait until you see the dress that I will wear tonight"
And standing up she put Ben in his floating crib and took off the nightgown making Luke admiring his wife body. She already reached the weight she had when they met. Smiling he asked while he was eating a toast
"Will I have that amazing body tonight?"
Looking over her shoulder, she smiling at him
"All night if you want"
"I can't wait for tonight already" he winked at her. Eating his breakfast he wonder what was the surprise.
Later in the morning:
Ines was putting the table in the dinning room this time, smiling as she watch Luke laying on the floor, with their son, who was having one of his tummy times.
Shaking her head but loving to watch it these moments, there was a beep in the intercom. Luke looked up
"Who is it? It is not Han and Leia because that is from outside" Luke said sitting down and pulling Ben on to his lap.
"Don't worry. It is the surprise" Ines smiled and pressing the button indication they could go up, she head to elevator waiting for the guests.
Luke frown and standing up, he looked at his son
"I wonder what is your mother planning" he said kissing Ben's little head.
His answer came a few minutes ago, when the elevator opened and his grandparents appeared, making Luke gasped
"Surprise" Jobal said smiling and hugged her grandson kissing him.
"Grandparents!?" Luke said kissing Jobal "What are you doing here?"
"Well Ines contacted us and told us about your birthday and if we wanted to be here to celebrated and she needed someone to watch my great grandson since she had plans for tonight. Of course we couldn't say no to her and I miss my great grandson." Jobal said and looked at the baby "My goodness he is so big" she said and smiling she picked Ben from Luke's arms. "Hi sweetheart. You grow up so much since the last time we saw you" and she kissed his little head.
The baby looked at her sucking his fingers and then smiled at his great grandmother
"Hello my beautiful boy. He is getting so beautiful" she said "Look Ruwee, he so big and beautiful"
Ruwee looked at his great grandson and smile because indeed he was getting big and beautiful. He was a mix of his parents for sure.
"How about we take you to the guest bedroom" Ines said and Luke helped with the luggage and took them to the bedroom
"I still can't believe you are here" Luke said smiling
"Your wife kept everything in secret I have to say" Ruwee smiled "Besides we couldn't say no. It is your birthday and our granddaughter too"
"Besides we want to meet her" Jobal said rocking Ben's
"You will because the lunch is in an hour" Ines informed them
"So maybe we better change clothes and unpack" Jobal said handing Ben to his father.
"Feel free like you are in your home. The bathroom is there" Ines said and left the room with Luke, heading to the kitchen where a cake was in the oven. Luke looked at Ines and she smiled as he got closer to her and kissed her neck
"You are the best wife I could ever ask you know that" he said making her look at him
"You didn't see nothing yet Jedi Knight" and lean forward she kissed him, making Luke deepened the kiss, but as usual was interrupted by their son who started to make some noises
"I think he jealous of you." Luke laughed "Hey, I know she is your mother but she is my wife. We can share her, how about that" he said kissing Ben's little tummy making the baby smile and give one of his high pitch.
"Now the question is, how Leia will react when she sees them?" Ines asked
"I think she wont mind when it is from our mother's side" Luke said smiling.
"Well we will see in an hour" she told him kissing him and then Ben's head.
1 hour later:
Jobal and Ruwee were sitting on the couch in the living room, with Ben in Ruwee arms this time. The baby had already his meal, 30 minutes ago, and now with his tummy full, he was starting to close his eyes, feeling sleepy.
The elevator door opened and Leia and Han entered the room alongside with Chewie and 3PO
"Hello" Han said and Luke just look at him
"Please be quiet. My son just fell a sleep" he told him
"Sorry kid" Han whispered
Ines walked towards Leia and hugged her sister in law
"Happy birthday my dear sister" Ines smiled
"Thank you" Leia replied at her and hugged Luke "Happy birthday to you too"
"And happy birthday to you. But I'm still the older one, don't forget that" he smirked at her.
"Happy Birthday Master Luke" 3PO said making Luke smile
"Thanks 3PO"
"Hello I didn't know we had visitors" Han told the first time he saw Jobal and Ruwee on the couch.
Ines looked at Luke and picking Ben from Ruwee, she told Luke
"I think I will put this one in his crib" and went towards Ben's bedroom.
Jobal and Ruwee stood up and looked at Leia. Indeed she looked like Padmé and Jobal couldn't wait and walked towards Leia, she hugged her crying. Leia looked at Luke, and she didn't need for Luke to tell her who she was. She understood right away and smiling she hugged the old lady back.
Pulling back Jobal smiled
"You are so beautiful. You look like your mother. Doesn't she look like our Padmé" Jobal asked looking at her husband
"Yes she looks" Ruwee smiled stroking Leia's cheek who smiled at him. Deep inside she always wanted to meet her grandparents from her mother's side. And they where like she imagine, nice and sweet people.
"What are you doing here?" Leia asked them
"Ines planned everything" Luke replied to her. "And by the way, this is Han and that is Chewie and 3PO"
Ruwee and Jobal nod their heads to them.
"But how about we get some lunch and then we can talk about everything?" Ines said coming from inside and they all sat down by the dinning table and have lunch, talking about how Ines planned everything and about their lives and about Padmé, after all it was also the day she died, but the day was of celebration and not sadness. And the day didn't end yet, for Luke and Leia it was only the beginning.
So finally Leia meet her maternal grandparents. What will be the night for them?
