Jay was going undercover, his first undercover assignment as sergeant, not that he was filling in Hanks shoes anytime soon to really call himself sergeant. But Erin was less then thrilled about it because majority of the time he went undercover it either bought a dark side of him out or he ended up getting tortured or even shot at, she didn't exactly know how to handle it with a baby due in two months and a 3 year old that wanted her parents undivided attention 24/7.

They both stood either side of the table in the break Room, Erin was pacing with her hands on her hips as Jay stood there with his feet glued to the floor, "I just can't wrap my head around what's happening."

"Erin come on you know this is our job and I can't really say no, I just became sergeant barely two weeks ago, I have to step up."

"Our job doesn't stop at this district Jay, we have a job as parents remember? And step up? You've got to be kidding me."

"Of course I remember, don't do that." Jay said trying to defend himself.

"The baby is due in less then two months, I can't have you hurt when we are meant to be welcoming our son into the world and let's not forget about Lily what's she going to think?" Erin said as she rubbed circles on her belly trying to calm herself.

"Babe I haven't forgot any of that, it's only a short term undercover assignment, will barely last the week, Lily is too young to understand anyway." He said walking over to her slowly to rest his hand on her back.

"I'm scared Jay, what if something happens to you...we can't lose you." Erin said blocking the tears from her eyes.

"You won't." Jay said giving her a reassuring smile.

"There's just a lot more to think about this time around, you have beneficiaries to think about now remember." Erin tried to lighten the mood, thinking back at the time he put himself at harms way to get a bounty off his head that kept getting people around him hurt.

"Very important ones." He said leaning down to kiss her cheek.

The door opened as Adam popped his head in, "Upton's looking for you Jay, we got a lead on our suspect we gotta roll."

He nodded then looked down at Erin, "So are we all good?"

"I don't think I'm going to be all good about this whole situation but I know it's what you have to do so yeah I guess we have to be."

He smiled, "Its going to be fine Er, I love you."

"Love you too." She said forcing a smile as she watched him run off, she definitely was getting tired of seeing everyone do the job she loved while she was forced to sit at a desk all day. She was especially excited to welcome their son into the world and be finished with this pregnancy. Each day she was getting more and more uncomfortable, this baby was definitely bigger then his sister.

She looked down at her belly, "Well that's that then, your daddy will be the death of me. Always constantly making me worry."

She continued rubbing her belly, "No opinion?" She frowned, usually a rub on her belly or when she had been standing for a while she would feel a wild kick to the bladder or ribs, "You in a bad mood too? Or asleep?"

She walked out and sat at her desk, it was quieter then usually and it only made her mind run wild even more.

"It's easy to miss movements when your on your feet, barely sat down all day." She kept thinking to herself, repeating things she had read in what to expect when your expecting books.

Between the five o'clock start with Lily, rushing to drop her off at daycare. Going to check on a victim at med, then arguing backwards and forwards with Jay about his undercover assignment he put his hand up for, she had barely sat down.

"Last time the baby moved was...yesterday. After eating Thai food for an early dinner."

She got up and paced back and fourth, the worry growing stronger. She tried taking some deep breaths, trying not to think the worst. But they'd already lost one baby. So it only made the worry stronger.

"The baby's most likely asleep. Wake up, little one."

She tried jumping up and down a little, then swinging side to side, something to get her little man moving, "Come on little guy, wake up buddy."

She stopped and quickly grabbed her jacket and keys before walking down to the front desk, "Hey Trudy, just have to run and errand, should be back soon."

"No worries, Erin you okay?" Trudy asked being able to notice something was wrong but she was just waved off by Erin before watching the young detective walk out the doors.

As Erin made her way to the Emergency Department she saw Natalie getting out of her car, Natalie noticed her straight away but could tell something was wrong, "Erin you okay?"

Erin shrugged sadly, "Uh not sure. I think somethings wrong."

"What is it. Are you spotting?" Natalie said, the doctor voice suddenly coming out as she witnessed the worry spread across the face of her friend who was rubbing her belly with worry.

"I can't...I can't feel the baby. There's no movement."

"Have you been on your feet all day?" Nat asked, Erin nodded, "When was the last time you felt the baby moving?"

"Last night, he went crazy after I ate some Thai food." Erin let out a soft chuckle thinking back to it.

Nat gave her a reassuring smile, "Have you had any sugar lately?" Erin shook her head, "Here eat this." Natalie fumbled around in her bag reaching out to give Erin a candy bar. Erin started biting into it, "It's okay. Just going to see if the sugar wakes the baby up."

Erin looked towards Natalie, "Tell me I'm not being stupid."

"No, if you haven't felt the baby move since yesterday, you're not being stupid."

"We already lost one baby Nat." Erin said sadly.

Natalie nodded, "We're going to get you into a room for an ultrasound okay?"

Erin nodded and walked into the ED with Natalie, she put on a gown and waited on the bed for whatever news was to come.

Before Natalie was about to walk into Erin's room she saw Jay and Hailey about to walk out, "Jay!"

Jay whipped his head around to whoever had yelled his voice, nearly every doctor and nurse were looking between the both of them but quickly went back to what they were doing.

"Nat?" He said confused as he and Hailey walked towards her.

"What are you guys doing?"

"Just finished talking to a victim, what's going on?" Jay asked, sensing something was wrong by Natalies voice.

"Have a sec?" Natalie said showing him to a empty room.

He nodded, "Sure, meet you in the car?" He said to Hailey who nodded.

Natalie walked into the empty room with Jay on her heels, confusion and a hint of worry on his face, "Everything all good Nat?"

Jay raced into Erin's room after Natalie had filled him in on everything, she was close behind him.

Erin could see the tears that were forming in Jays eyes straight away once they made eye contact, he was taking deep breaths, "Are you okay?" Dumb question he thought but he breathed a little easier when she gave him a small nod and reached out for his hand.

He pulled up a seat next to her grabbing her hand to squeeze hard as they waited for Natalie to do the ultrasound.

"All right. Where are you little one." Natalie said as she moved the stick around on Erin's belly, "Ah, there he is." Natalie smiled.

Jay ran his fingers through his hair and wiped his eyes, as did Erin as their ears were filled with the familiar and comforting sound of their sons heartbeat. Jay grabbed Erin's hand and kissed it, "Oh thank god."

Erin rubbed the back of Jays neck as she watched the tears fall from his eyes, extremely happy and relieved tears.

"I like what I'm seeing here." Natalie said looking at the monitor, "As you can see, your baby has moved into a position that has made it harder to feel movements. But I assure you, everything is fine."

"Thanks Nat." Erin and Jay both said.

"I will give you guys a second." She smiled and left the room leaving them both alone together.

"Why didn't you call me or say anything? How long have you known?" Jay asked looking up to Erin.

"We were fighting. I only just realised after you left."

"Babe I don't care if we are fighting or not, you gotta tell me when something like this happens," She nodded and kissed him again, when she pulled back she smiled, he raised an eyebrow, "What?"

"Alec."

"Hmm?"

"I want to name him Alec. Alec Henry."

Jay smiled and took a deep breath, "It's perfect. Your perfect."
