Chapter 74: Trash's Teamwork
Madara's words echo in Naruto's head, making his heart rate increase tenfold. His wide eyes enlarge to their maximum size as images of what is possibly happening to his teammates and family. Rage fills him from his toes to his stands of golden hair. His fangs elongate and his vision clouds from the rage; the best way to put it, he is pissed.
"MADARA! I WILL KILL YOU!" Naruto screams as he charges towards them with his Tailed-Beast Rasengan.
"Uchiha Reflection," Using his fan, Madara pushes Naruto back, creating a powerful wind attack that sends everyone flying. Just as he does this, Madara glares at the Ten-Tailed Statue as it is engulfed in flames, "Obito, did you decide to launch the jutsu haphazardly? I hope you have a backup plan for this. By the way, where's Nagato? He's supposed to be here,"
"He betrayed us. After Naruto Uzumaki defeated him, Nagato used the Revival Jutsu on the Hidden Leaf,"
"Hn, pathetic. It seems I can't depend on any of you. Very well then, I will deal with the Eight and Nine-Tails. You take care of the other annoyances,"
"I won't let you come near my friends!" Naruto growls.
"I welcome the challenge, little fox. I just hope you won't think I'll go easy on you because you're a Jinchūriki,"
"That's good because I don't plan on going easy on your zombie ass, baka,"
"Naruto, I've got your back,"
"So, you've truly betrayed the last of your clan for the Hidden Leaf, Sasuke. Hn. And to think that both you and your brother are the biggest disappointments to our clan,"
"No one will disrespect my home or my brother in my presence. I'm going to teach you some manners,"
Naruto uses his chakra to form a protective form, in the shape of Kurama, around Sasuke and him. As he does this, Madara summons an earth dragon to attack. Naruto commands the form to bite and try to hold off the wooden dragon. However, the longer it holds onto the dragon, the weaker Naruto begins to feel.
"Damnit," Naruto curses.
"What's wrong, Naruto?" Sasuke asks.
"This damn dragon is absorbing my chakra. At this rate, most of my chakra will be depleted if we don't do something soon,"
"Alright then, leave it to me,"
"Be careful,"
Sasuke nods before escaping the protective Kurama form and charges towards Madara. Along the way, Sasuke uses his sword to try and make weak points in the wooden dragon. When he is close enough, Sasuke summons lightning to his hand and shoots it at Madara. Using his fan, Madara deflects the attack and the two clash their weapons together.
"You will not win this fight,"
"Brave words for the youngest Uchiha to die soon. You will learn respect, little one,"
The two continue to fight, using their weapons to fend off and attack the other. As they collide again, Sasuke uses his lighting element to reinforce his sword deal damage to Madara's fan. While they continue their battle, Gyūki and B jump into action to save Naruto from the wooden dragon. Using the damage Sasuke dealt with it, Gyūki grips the dragon and starts tearing it apart, effectively freeing Naruto. Seeing this, Madara karate kicks Sasuke out of the way before summoning a new dragon to take hold of Gyūki and B.
Nearby, Kakashi and Obito continue their battle with Kakashi on the losing end. With a large star-shaped weapon, Obito slices through Kakashi's jack and makes an "x" on across his chest.
"Obito… how did you end up like this? You were the Hero of the Leaf. I've always looked up to you. Is all of this because of Rin?" Kakashi pants.
Obito's body shakes with maniacal laughter, "Kakashi, you continue to insult me, even after all these years. Don't you realize, you and I are nothing but trash in this world. Anyone who survives the murderous grip of the shinobi world becomes trash, one way or another. That is why I will destroy this world and rebuild it in my own image!"
From above the battlefield, where he retreated, Naruto clenches his fists and growls in anger, "You guys are pissing me off so bad I can't think straight. All this talk of destruction and disrespect makes my blood boil. Allow me to tell you something about me instead," Naruto says as he summons a clone. Both Narutos split up and head to different parts of the battlefield. As the two Narutos fly towards the battlefield, Madara and Obito release their attacks. Having arrived in time, the two Narutos use their Kurama protective forms to fend off both attacks.
"You're wrong about us shinobis who become trash. No one I consider as a friend will ever be trash! I am not trash! My home is not trash! I will die defending everyone around me no matter what! The only trash I see are the people who dare destroy what I hold dear. I cannot forgive that. I will never let my comrades die! I will clean up the trash of this world and save it at the cost of my own life!"
Naruto's speech brings inspiration to his fellow shinobi. Feeling renovated despite his current injuries, Kakashi stands up behind Naruto. Obito charges forward with more of the large star-shaped weapons. Naruto manages to catch one while Kakashi uses his Lighting Blade to destroy the other one.
"Obito, you will always be my friend. And despite what you say, you are not trash. You will always be the hero I used to look up to. I know, deep inside of you, your Will of Fire burns as bright as it used to. I don't know what I need to do to bring it out, but I will do it and protect my student and home at the cost of my own life!"
"Hn. Kakashi Hatake, forever the foolish one. You may think your words prove anything different about me, but you're wrong. Allow me to prove that to you by taking out the trash on this battlefield!"
Naruto and Obito rush towards each other. Naruto draws his fist back before leaning into his punch, but Obito summons a wooden extension of his arm and captures Naruto. With his other hand, Obito readies another attack for Kakashi.
"Begone with the rest of the trash, Kakashi!" Needing to save his sensei, Naruto wiggles free just enough to headbutt Obito effectively stopping the attack. Grunting as he shakes off his slight headache, Obito glares at his two opponents, "I've had enough of trash defending trash. I'll kill you both!"
"Stop calling us that! Kakashi-sensei and I are not trash! We are shinobi of the Hidden Leaf and we will stop you!"
"Naruto, I think I am at my limit," Kakashi pants.
"What? So soon?" Naruto gasps as he looks at this worn-down sensei, "Kakashi-sensei doesn't look so good. I have to help him or he's going to die,"
"Naruto, switch with me,"
"What?! Again? Can't you make up your mind what you want to do?"
"I can help your sensei. Allow me to take over for a while. After all, I want to enjoy this fight too. I have a score to settle with that shithead zombie," Naruto only nods at Kurama's request before allowing him to take over, "Kakashi Hatake,"
"Nine-Tails?"
"Stop calling me that. My name is Kurama, and you will respect that. Now, give me your hand. I have a surprise for you,"
Hesitant at what Kurama wants, Kakashi cautiously does as the fox commands. As their hands connect, for a moment, Kakashi feels a surge of chakra and power fill his channels before he is thrown at Obito. As the silver wolf collides with the black-haired feline, Obito absorbs Kakashi into the other dimension.
Seeing this from inside his conscious, Naruto gasps before throwing a tantrum and yelling at Kurama, "What the hell did you just do?! Why did you sacrifice Kakashi-sensei like that?!"
"Calm down brat and just watch. I know what I'm doing,"
On the outside, Obito shakes off his slight confusion as he charges towards them. Kurama reels back his fist and aims it at the Obito. Just like any other time, the fist phases through Obito's body, except this time there's a surprise unknown by their opponent.
After being teleported into the other dimension, a confused Kakashi stands up and looks around, "Why did that fox send me here? Did he intend to sacrifice me?" However, just as soon as Kakashi asked his question, something appeared before him: Obito's stomach. On the outside, as Kurama's fist passes through Obito's body, the section that disappeared reappears in the other dimension. Quickly grasping his situation, Kakashi reels his fist back and gut punches Obito. From inside of his conscious, Naruto watches as Obito is being attacked by an invisible force.
"What is happening to him?"
"It is Kakashi. I gave him some of my chakras to enhance his Kamui ability when I grabbed his hand. So now, whenever and whoever he wants to, Kakashi can use his Kamui ability to its fullest extent,"
"That's so cool!"
"If you're impressed by that, then you haven't seen anything yet. Hang tight kit,"
While Kurama's fist is still inside of Obito's body, Kakashi continues his attack on different parts of Obito's body. With a final blow to his face, Obito falls out of Kurama's range and Kakashi releases himself back into their current dimension.
"Thank you, Kurama. I don't think I could survive this war without your help,"
"Do not mention it. You can repay me back by helping us win this war,"
"Aniki! Naruto! Kakashi! Sasuke! Guy! Everyone look!" Gyūki calls out as he points to the Ten-Tails, "We need to stop it before it revives itself!"
"Kakashi Hatake, I must assist my sibling in defeating the Ten-Tails, do you think you can handle this annoyance in the meantime?"
"You can count on me, Kurama-same,"
"Naruto, let's go," Kurama nods before recreating his protective form and taking to the skies with Gyūki, "Gyūki, are you ready to form our attack?"
"I was born ready, aniki," The two open their mouths to summon their Tailed-Beast Balls. "Let's blast it to bits! Give it everything you've got!"
"I should be the one telling you that. Release!"
As the two balls are released, they tear through the environment around them. Everyone tries to make sure they are far enough away to not take too much damage from the attack. As the attack collides with the Ten-Tails' form, a powerful blast forms around it and gives an aftershock wave. Everyone who shielded their eyes looks forward, waiting for the dust to clear, to see the damage.
"We did it fool, ya fool!"
"Alright! Great job, Kurama!"
"We're not out of the woods yet, look," Kurama says as he points ahead.
Everyone looks to where he is pointing and gasps when the dust clears. Before them, the terrifying form of the Ten-Tails and the blood moon lies. The creature lets out a horrifying shattering scream.
"Fuck me," Sasuke groans with his hand over his face.
Madara and Obito both chuckle before moving to stand on top of it.
"Well then, let's get started, shall we?" Madara smirks.
"This world will be over before you know it. Just give in and accept it," Obito says.
"Kurama, what are we going to do?"
"Naruto, have your clone bring me Kakashi. Gyūki, throw me that Guy human. Sasuke, I trust you can come to me on your own?"
Kurama opens his mouth as Naruto brings Kakashi, Sasuke jumps, and Gyūki literally throws Guy into his mouth. Once everyone was inside, Gyūki and Kurama turn tell and runs.
"Obito, I think things will go much smoother if we use the status' power to get rid of them, don't you?"
"You just want to test out the Ten-Tails' power, don't you. That is why all of this was deliberately done a certain way, correct?"
"Hn. You don't seem as dumb as you play sometimes. Now, let's see what this thing can really do,"
As Kurama and Gyūki run away, the Ten-Tails quickly catch up to them by extending its arm and attacking them. Both Tailed-Beasts manage to dodge roll out of the way before Kurama charges towards it. The Ten-Tails makes its own advances. Once close enough, Kurama jumps up and tries to strike it with his claws. However, the Ten-Tails is quicker than Kurama and smacks him out of the sky. Kurama quickly recovers and both Gyūki and he launches their own attack.
"Bomb Barrage!"
Seeing the attack, Obito turns towards Madara to say, "Should we move out of the way?"
"Hn. You severely underestimate the Ten-Tails' power. There is no need to dodge,"
Unfortunately, Madara is correct. As the bombs head towards the terrifying beast, it lets out its own attack. A powerful beam attack shoots from its mouth and splits the ground in half. Gyūki and Kurama dodge the attack but not without taking any damage. Both roll into protective balls as they try to minimize the effect of the blast. When the attack ends and Kurama and Gyūki release themselves from their hold, a Sage Mode Naruto and Kakashi jump from Kurama's head to attack. On his way down, Kakashi uses his Kamui attack to absorb Gyūki.
"You guys try to do an up-close attack. I'll try to hold it off," Kurama commands.
When they get close enough, Kakashi releases Gyūki who in turn releases another Tailed-Beast Ball attack.
"Take this fool, ya fool,"
The Ten-Tails, unaffected, flicks Gyūki away from its face before aiming its tails at Naruto and Kakashi. Thinking quickly, Naruto pushes Kakashi out of the way in time to save him. However, he couldn't prevent the attack from hitting him.
"Hn. It swats them down like simple flies," Madara smirks with his arms crossing.
Kurama rushes to catch his fallen comrades in record time. Once he has them, Kurama sets everyone on the ground as his form disappears.
"I am at my end, Naruto. I need to rest and recover,"
"Yeah B. I'm outty too for a while. Try not to die before I return fool, ya fool,"
An exhausted Naruto and Killer B sit on the ground and pant while trying to recover their breaths.
"We might be in trouble here, guys," Naruto sighs before standing up. Naruto forms the hand signs to summon more colons but stops when Madara talks to him.
"You, fox boy. You seem to enjoy throwing that forbidden jutsu around as you created it. It doesn't matter anyway. Summoning more losers makes no difference to the outcome of this battle,"
"How dare you! I am not a loser! I haven't even shown you what I can do yet!"
"Naruto stop. They're too powerful," Kakashi grunts as he tries to stand with Guy.
"But, Kakashi-sensei, we can't give up yet. The battle is just beginning,"
"You should listen to your elders, boy. After all, you're nothing more than a motley crew anyway," Madara insults.
"Motley crew? Motley crew?!" Naruto yells before leaning over to whisper to Sasuke, "What is a motley crew?"
"Good grief, Naruto," Sasuke sighs as he faces palms himself, "He basically called us a crew of misfits,"
"What?! How dare you insult us like that! You're going to pay,"
"I no longer have the patience to deal with the likes of you. Now parish,"
Madara commands the Ten-Tails to send out another power beam attack, effectively destroying the environment around them. However, something happens with Obito. It seems that someone has a hold on him, effectively stopping him from assisting the Ten-Tails. Although the hold does not last long, it is long enough for reinforcements to arrive.
"Beatle Jamming Jutsus! Hidden Mist Jutsu!"
The combination of the two attacks creates a cloaking mist with a hidden attack. However, the Ten-Tails easily deflects it with its tail. The bright side is that the mist reveals all the Allied Forces standing in front of Madara, Obito, and the Ten-Tails.
"Naruto, Sasuke-Kun, Kakashi-sensei, are you guys alright?" Sakura asks as he approaches them.
"We're fine, Sakura-chan. Thank you for coming to our rescue," Naruto smiles before turning to their opponents with a determined smirk, "Madara! Obito! You've done nothing but mock my comrades this entire battle. Now you shall witness how this "motley crew" will defeat you! I would like to introduce to you our Allied Shinobi Forces Jutsu! And this time, you're the ones who are going down!"
