Chapter 75: Danny Phantom the Pissed Off Ghost
*****Previously In Athens*****
"How was Wonderland, Wally," Dick glared at his former best friend.
"I pretty much go by Bolt nowadays," the former Kid Flash glared back.
Nightwing clutched Cavalier's amulet harder. He could only imagine getting these powers while Kid was still on the team. If he couldn't accept the brothers of his best friend having magic, then his actual best friend having magic would have drove him crazy.
"I'd say i'm happy that the Queen of Hearts didn't cut your head off, but i'd be lying," Dick growled.
"You won't get rid of my that easily, Dick," Wally said. "How could you just turn your back on me? Your best friend. We started the team together with Kaldur. Did you really forget all that."
"You are not the person that we started this team with," Dick snapped. "Your bitterness and selfishness about your disbelief in magic separated you from us. We accepted them while you didn't. There is nothing wrong with the mystics."
"It is wrong that they pretend to be make believe creatures and have something as fake as magic," Wally sneered.
"I'll give you fake," Dick says. "In French legend, gargoyles are fierce creatures that were first out in churches to keep evil spirits away. That their intimidation alone could win a battle. They could even drink a river dry. Even to this day, these same creatures are used as part of architecture as a symbol of protection. Time for you to meet the creature that started that legend."
He pulled out one of the amulets Lien gave him.
"Teach him a lesson," Dick called. "Gar-Ghoul."
The stone beast slammed onto the ground.
"Guess i'm now one of those 'make believe' creatures," Dick taunted the former hero.
*****Present Time*****
The former Kid Flash just stared at him like he had spontaneously grew two more heads.
"This is what you get for trying to hurt my family," Dick yelled at his used-to-be best friend. "Gar-Ghoul, blast this idiot off his feet!"
Gar-Ghoul opened his mouth, and let out a giant roar. With the roar came a powerful water blast. Not to sound cliche, but Bolt then bolted away. He also managed to avoid a strike from Cavalier. But what caught him by surprise was when one of Nightwing's escrima sticks knocked him right in his face and he crashed into his back.
"When you tend to hang around a girl that can channel a cheetah, a boy who has a wolf's speed, and a fast flying harpy, you get pretty good at being fast yourself," Dick smirked.
While he really liked how Cavalier and Gar-Ghoul were handling the situation, he was kind of itching to use the other amulet Lien gave him. If his first two titans were this powerful, then he almost didn't want to see what his third would do.
"I can't believe you let those fakes turn you into a freak," Wally sneered at the new Guardian.
"They didn't do anything to me," Dick threw back. "If anything, they helped me deal with the fact that my so-called best friend betrayed me and now works with the same organization that almost literally tortured my brothers to death. If anyone is the freak here, it's you. Cavalier, Gar-Ghoul!"
His titans charged the speedster. Now, it was more difficult for him as both of the magical creatures had learned of his speed. Cavalier definitely fit his legend as the once titan of the legendary knight Lancelot. The knight titan would take charge of the frontal assault while Gar-Ghoul had the more defensive techniques.
As Cavalier took another swipe with his flaming sword, Bolt did a baseball player slid to dodge it. But that's when Gar-Ghoul slicked up the ground with water. His speed made the wipe out even worse. The crashed into one of the ruin's walls.
"Now, I know you don't care, but i'll tell you what I am anyway," Dick glared at him. "Magic chose me to become a guardian, a mystic chosen for their ability to protect others. I'm the first mortal guardian to be chosen since Queen Hippolyta of the Amazons. These titans are my powers. Like my ability to lead the team, my magic is to summon allies to my side. And right now, my titans have you in their sight."
The two creatures stared menacingly at the hero turned traitor. Gar-Ghoul actually looked a tad bit hungry.
Around the rest of the ruins, harpies were having the time of their lives getting revenge on the Guys In White. If you just happened to come upon the battlefield, your stomach would be turned by the sight of multiple bodies of agents with their eyes clawed out. (AN: I apologize for the mental image.)
Lien sent mother agent flying into a wall with a wave of her hand.
"Alright, which one of you wants to be the next to fall by the hand of a harpy witch," she screamed.
Multiple agents took a step away from the blessed harpy.
"No volunteers," she taunted. "Then i'll just choose one of you myself."
One agent got the purple outline of her magic around him. Picking him up, she drew him close to her. An evil smirk formed on her face.
"I may be from another realm, but even my kind knows how to bowl," Lien evilly giggled.
She threw the agent, and he spun like sideways yo-yo. Lien definitely proved her point when she knocked down another fourteen agents with that single one.
"Strike," the harpy yelled, laughing.
Her celebration was cut short when another agent that had been behind her fell to the ground. His skin looked to have green plants growing either in it or in it. Forest was floating there. his arms crossed.
"Lien, be more aware of your surroundings next time," he told her. "Cause I am not always gonna be around to give you a helpful hand, or a poisonous one."
He added that last part with a smirk. Lien rolled her eyes at his antics.
"Are you sure that Apollo didn't also bless you when you weren't looking," she teased. "Cause his personality seems to be rubbing off on you."
"Artemis would never forgive me if I let her brother rub off on me," Forest chuckled. "She barely tolerated us male harpies as it is."
"Can't argue with you there," Lien shrugged. "Have you seem Orion?"
"Last time I saw him, he somehow managed to use the stone sword from a statue as a weapon to impale three other agents," Forest says. "How he even took it off the statue is beyond me."
"Guess a prince protecting his people is like a mother lifting a car off her child, anything is possible," Lien said.
Phantom, on the other side of the ruins, was pissed. And not his regular ghost boy angry, but his royally pissed side that seems to come from his Prince of the Ghost Zone personality. And boy was that side of him showing. Even Fright Knight looked a little weary of him, and he was the spirit of Halloween.
"You two are despicable," Danny growled at them. "Krinos may hate humans, but all he's ever done against them was when he was defending nature. Most vampires live off of blood banks and animal blood, like Ethan, Sarah, and Erica. Harpies like Orion, sirens like Lena, witches like Melinda, even were-creatures like Alain and Caitlin. All of them just want to be left alone."
"Why should monsters have free reign of themselves," Maddie sneered. "All you would do is harm us normal humans."
"GET OVER YOURSELVES," Danny boomed in his deep ghost voice that he loves to use to scare people. "You are not normal. Normal people don't kidnap two eight year olds from their older brother. Normal people don't neglect their 'kids' and never give them a Christmas or birthday. Normal people don't torture two teenagers for no reason. NORMAL PEOPLE DON'T MURDER THREE PEOPLE AND NOT SHOW ANY REMORSE!"
"They got what they deserved," Jack snapped.
"RAAA," Danny shouted.
His hands glowed their green color. He clapped them together, sending out a green wave. Almost like a sonic boom. All fighters within range were knocked off their feet, and even the harpies and Fright Knight had a hard time to stay upright or in the air. Phantom has never looked so angry.
"My prince has finally had enough," Fright Knight murmured. "He had eight years of rage about to come out into the open."
Even his horse, Nightmare, was a little unnerved by the look of the halfa.
"Fright... uh... would you mind..." Danny started.
"I will take my fighting business elsewhere, my prince," the Halloween spirit slightly bowed, them flew away on Nightmare.
"Dora isn't the only ruler with loyal knights," Danny thought.
He turned back to the Fentons. He cracked his neck and knuckles, his eyes glowing with intensity.
"This is for every ghost and mystic you have ever harmed," he stated.
Jack whipped out the Fenton Bazooka. He fired at his former son. Phantom held up his glowing hands, taking the blast full on. His hands acted like Huntress's ghost gauntlets, steaming with his ecto-energy. He started punching his way through the beam, coming closer and closer to the fat oaf. When he reached him, he snatched the weapon right out of his hands. The heat from his ecto-energy was so much that the bazooka melted in his hand.
"Oops," Danny said, darkly.
Both Fentons then took out more of their guns, a Jack-O-Nine-Tails, and even the Fenton Peeler. Phantom rose his hand, snapping his fingers. All their weapons got surrounded by a green aura. They shot away from the adults, floating around the half ghost. Phantom closed his hand into a fist, tightening his grip. It caused all the weapons to be crushed by the telekinetic aura. They soon dropped to the ground, in pieces.
"I might despise Dan with the passion of a thousand suns, but having watched him use these powers does help me," Danny said, scary how calm he said it.
The adults still looked about to fight, but he had one last trick that would scare them silly. Or at least make them slightly catatonic.
"Pathetic," Phantom sneered, then duplicated himself.
"But that is to be expected from you," clone number 1 glared, them duplicated.
"Hate to break it to you," clone number 2 said, then duplicated again.
"Actually, no I don't," clone number 3 says, duplicating a fourth time.
"But you are nothing compared to us," clone number 4 smirked.
"And never will be," all five Phantoms says.
All of them fired ecto-rays at the Fenton crazies.
