"Thanks" Rosa replied, smiling before she headed for the arena.

Meanwhile, at the end of Group 2, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 2. Now we continue with the fourth round of the trainers of Group 3, which includes the female member of the Aspertia City Trio, Rosa, and the next Type Expert Trainer, Homer" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.

Rosa stepped up again, and this time Psychic Ferly stepped up on the other side. Then, the Referee stepped up between them and said "The battle between Rosa of Aspertia City and Psychic Ferly of Undella Town will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Single Battle.
"Stoutland, let's do this" Psychic Ferly called, and Stoutland materialised. Rosa nodded, then called "Stoutland is a dangerous one. So, Escavalier, let's put on a show" Rosa called, and Escavalier materialised.

"Stoutland, use Thunder Fang again" Ferly called, and Stoutland once again cloaked its fangs with electrical energy and bit Escavalier, inflicting Minor damage.
"Strike back Escavalier, use Iron Head" Rosa called, and Escavalier cloaked its head with silver energy, and charged into Stoutland, inflicting Minor damage.
"Stoutland, use Thunder Fang again" Fidel called, and Stoutland cloaked its fang with electricity, bit Escavalier, inflicting Minor damage and causing Escavalier to Flinch.
"Strike again, Thunder Fang" Fidel called, and Stoutland again cloaked its fangs with electricity, and bit Escavalier, inflicting Minor damage and inflicting Escavalier with Paralysis.

The second battle of Group 3 Round 4 was between Hiker Fidel and Lass Uno in a Single Battle. And in a close battle, Psychic Fidel's Simipour defeated Lass Uno's Seismitoad, keeping Fidel in touch with the top two.

The final battle of Group 3 Round 4 was between Hiker Homer and Beauty Centsa in a Triple Battle. And despite a negative type matchup, Hiker Homer's Camerupt, Steelix and Krookodile defeated Beauty Centsa's Roserade, Drifblim and Gliscor, anchoring Beauty Centsa to the bottom of Group 3.

At the end of Group 3, Rosa returns to the stands, and Hugh said "Good battle, that can't have been an easy one"
"It wasn't but I'm glad I pulled through" Rosa replied, to which the other nodded.

At the end of Group 3, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 3, I hope they put on a good show. Now on to the fourth round for the trainers of Group 4, which includes the Type Expert Trainer Veteran Walter" to the applause of the crowd.

The first battle of Group 4 Round 4 is between Veteran Walter and Clerk Lester in a Double Battle. And despite a major type disadvantage, Veteran Walter's Scolipede and Galvantula defeated Lester's Drapion and Ninetales, keeping Veteran Walter at the top of Group 4.

The second battle of Group 4 Round 4 is between Ace Trainer Alison and Worker Hernando in a Single Battle. And it wasn't close, as Alison's Metagross crushed Hernando's Ferrothorn, keeping Ace Trainer Alison near the top of Group 4.

The final battle of Group 4 Round 4 was between Beauty Chloe and Pilot Harley in a Single Battle. And after a close battle, Beauty Chloe's Lapras defeated Pilot Harley's Garbodor, guaranteeing Pilot Harley bottom of Group 4.

At the end of Group 4, Hilda stood up, and said "Alright, now it's my group, so I'll see you all later" and Ash replied "Good Luck Hilda, I'm sure you'll do well", while the rest of the crew also said "Good Luck", and after giving Asha big hug, which he returned, she headed for the arena.

At the end of Group 4, Drayden stepped back up to the stage and said "And that concludes Group 4. Now we move on to the fourth round for the trainers of Group 5. And this is a special Group, because, not only is Hilda in this group, who's come out of her big brother's shadow, but also the Type Expert trainer, Homer. Good luck everyone" and the crowd cheered appreciatively. Indeed, there were some cheers in particular for Hilda, from her battles at the Driftveil Tournament.

The first battle of Group 5 Round 4 was between Backpacker Jax and Ace Trainer Drakon in a Single Battle. And despite a major type disadvantage, Drakon's Hydreigon defeated Jax's Mamoswine, keeping Drakon in touch with Hilda at the top of Group 5.

The second battle of Group 5 Round 4 was between Camper Victor and Swimmer Tessa in a Rotation Battle. And Camper Victor's Crawdaunt, Weavile and Sandslash pretty easily defeated Tessa's Floatzel, Absol and Liepard, keeping Camper Victor tied with Hilda for 1st, while dooming Swimmer Tessa to last.

Hilda stepped up, and soon, her opponent, Swimmer Ted, stepped up at the other end. The Referee steps up and said, "The battle between Hilda of Nuvema Town and Swimmer Ted of Undella Town will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun, and landed on Single Battle.
"I'll call in my Eelektross," Ted said, and his Eelektross materialised. Hilda nodded and continued with "I have an Eelektross as well, so let's show them what we can do" and her Eelektross materialised.

Battle: Hilda's Eelektross VS Ted's Eelektross
"Eelektross, use Thunder Wave" Ted called, and his Eelektross shot a beam of electrical energy at Hilda's Eelektross, but Hilda
was ready.
"Eelektross, use a spinning Wild Charge to deflect the Thunder Wave" Hilda called, and Eelektross cloaked itself with electricity, and deflected the electrical energy, avoiding Paralysis. Then, Hilda's Eelektross charged into Ted's Eelektross, inflicting Minor damage and taking Slight recoil.
"Crunch her Eelektross" Ted called, and his Eelektross' fangs grew and were cloaked in anti-positive energy, and charged at Hilda's Eelektross.
"Eelektross, dodge it" Hilda called, and her Eelektross narrowly avoided the crunch.
"Now quick, return" Hilda called, and her Eelektross' arm was cloaked in white energy, and punched Ted's Eelektross, dealing a quarter of its health in damage.
"Quick, respond, Dragon Claw" Ted called, and his Eelektross' claws were cloaked in draconic energy, and slashed Hilda's Eelektross, dealing Minor damage.
"I see you've made good friends with you Eelektross Hilda. But will it be enough to win?" Ted asked, to which Hilda replied "We'll see. Eelektross, use Return again" Hilda called, and her Eelektross' arm was cloaked with white energy, and punched Ted's Eelektross, dealing Moderate damage.
"Eelektross, use Thunder Wave" Ted called, and his Eelektross hit Hilda's with the beam of electricity, Paralysing it.
"You OK Eelektross?" Hilda asked, to which Eelektross nodded. Ted then added "Now, Eelektross, use Dragon Claw" Ted called, and his Eelektross cloaked its claws with draconic energy and slashed Eelektross, dealing Minor damage.
"Eelektross, respond with Crunch" Hilda called, and Eelektross' fangs grew and were cloaked in anti-positive energy, and bit Ted's Eelektross, inflicting Minor damage.
"Eelektross, use Crunch too" Ted called, and his Eelektross' fangs grew and glowed with Anti-Positive energy, and bit Hilda's Eelektross, dealing Minor damage.
"End this, Return" Hilda called, but took Minor damage again as it was immobilised by Paralysis. However, the second time, its arm glowed white successfully, and KO'ed Ted's Eelektross.
"Eelektross is unable to battle, Eelektross wins. The victor is Hilda of Nuvema Town" the referee called, and both Eelektross and Hilda cheered.
Conclusion: Hilda's Eelektross wins.

In the stands, Ash said "Well done Hilda, your Eelektross showed itself to be the top"
"Yeah, you've taught her well Ash," Hilda's mom said, to which Ash nodded and smiled, then said "Thanks".

At the end of Group 5, Hilda returned to the stands, and after another big hug with Ash, she returned to her seat.

At the end of Group 5, Drayden stepped up, and said "And with that, Group 5 is concluded. And now, we move on to Round 4 for trainers in Group 6, which includes Driftveil Tournament trainer Dmitri" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.

The first battle of Group 6 Round 4 was between Hiker Eric and Scientist Dmitri in a Single Battle. And Scientist Dmitri's Cokeldurr destroyed Hiker Eric's Mienshao, keeping Scientist Dmitri at the top of Group 6, and Hiker Eric at the bottom of Group 6.

The second battle of Group 6 Round 4 was between Scientist Carver and Beauty Hermiornie in a Rotation Battle. And in another blowout, Beauty Hermiornie's

Aggron, Seismitoad and Maractus destroyed Scientist Carver's Roserade, Jolteon and Throh, keeping Beauty Hermiornie in touch with the top of Group 6.

The final battle of Group 6 Round 4 was between Clerk Nanaka and Policeman Bobhiko in a Double Battle. And in a close battle, Policeman Bobhiko's Leavanny and Zoroark defeated Nanaka's Dewgong and Claydol, keeping Bobhiko in contention for going through to the knockout stage of the Tournament.

And with the end of Group 6, Drayden steps back up, and said "And now it's lunchtime. We hope you enjoy, and we'll welcome you back in an hour to restart Round 4" and the crew stepped up and headed out.

When everyone arrived, Ash said "We're nearly through the Group Stage"
"Yeah. This has proven to be an interesting challenge. The format randomiser helps mix things up as well" Hilda replied, to which Delia nodded, and said "Sure is, I've seen Ash's other Tournament battles, and this is a unique twist"
"That's nice to hear" Hilda's mom replied, smiling.

After an hour, the crew returned to the arena, and took seats, waiting for the Round 4 Group Stages to restart. And as everyone also took their seats, Drayden stepped back onto the arena and said "Welcome back to Round 4 of the Group Stage of the Unova League Tournament. Now for the fourth round of trainers of Group 7, which includes Driftveil City trainer, Xavier and Type Expert Tournament trainer, Margaret. Good luck" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.

The first battle of Group 7 Round 4 was between Lass Danielle and Veteran Margaret in a Triple Battle. And after a fairly close battle, Veteran Margaret's Skarmory, Bisharp and Aggron defeated Lass Danielle's Bronzong, Krookodile and Heatmor, keeping Veteran Margaret at the top of Group 7.

The second battle of Group 7 Round 4 was between Bird Keeper Eric and Pilot Kendal in a Triple Battle. And in a fairly close battle, Bird Keeper Eric's Amoonguss, Cryogonal and Banette defeated Pilot Kendal's Muk, Espeon and Banette, keeping Pilot Kendal at the bottom of Group 7.

The third battle of Group 7 Round 4 was between Ace Trainer Xavier and Youngster Dorian in a Single Battle. Ad in the Jellicent off, Ace Trainer's Xavier's Jellicent defeated Youngster Dorian's Jellicent, showing Ace Trainer Xavier's skill as a Driftveil Tournament trainer.

At the end of Group 7, Hugh stands up and said "Well, Group 8 is next, so I've got to get going"
"Alright, good luck big bro," Hannah said, and she gave her brother a big hug, which he returned, then headed for the arena, with the rest of the crew also wishing him good luck.

The first battle of Group 8 Round 4 was between Battle Girl Wanda and Psychic Delphine in a Rotation Battle. And it wasn't that close, and Psychic Delphine's Starmie, Sigilyph and Jynx defeated Battle Girl Wanda's Metagross, Drifblim, and Carnivine, securing victory for Psychic Delphine, despite the negative type matchups.

The second battle of Group 8 Round 4 was between Psychic Destiny and Pokémon Ranger Makina in a Double Battle. And after a close battle, Psychic Destiny's Metagross and Chandelure defeated Pokémon Ranger Makina's Carracosta and Ferrothorn, keeping Psychic Destiny in touch with the top of Group 8.

As Hugh stepped up to the arena, he saw Black Belt Hayden step up to the other side. The Referee then stepped up and said "The battle between Hugh of Aspertia City and Black Belt Hayden of Nacrene City will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the format clock spun and landed on Single Battle.
"Electivire, let's go" Hayden called, and Electrivire materialised. Hugh nodded, then called "Serperior, let's show our power" and Serperior materialised.

Battle: Serperior vs Electivire
"Serperior, use Coil" Hugh called, and Serperior coiled up while cloaked in poisonous energy, raising its Accuracy and Physical stats.
"Electivire, use Fire Punch" Hayden called, and Electivire cloaked his fist with flames, and punched Serperior, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Now Serperior, strike back with Leaf Blade" Hugh called, and Serperior's tail glowed teal, and slashed Electivire, inflicting Considerable damage.
"Strike back Electivire, use Fire Punch again" Hayden called, and Electivire once again cloaked its fist with flames and punched Serperior, inflicting Moderate damage.
"Another Leaf Blade Serperior, keep this up" Hugh called, and Serperior's tail again glowed with natural energy, and struck, inflicting Considerable damage to Electivire.
"This isn't over, Electivire, another Fire Punch" Hayden called, and Electivire cloaked its fist with flames and punched Serperior again, dealing Moderate damage and knocking Serperior to Overgrow.
"End this Serperior, use Leaf Blade" Hugh called, and Serperior's natural coloured tail was further strengthened by a green glow of Overgrow, and struck, KO'ing Electivire.
"Electrivire is unable to battle, Serperior wins. The victor is Hugh of Aspertia City" the Referee said, and Hugh and Serperior celebrated.
Conclusion: Serperior wins.

In the stands, Hannah called "Yay! Hugh won! He's won all four of his group stages" to which Nate replied "Yeah, and now it's my group next, so, I'll see you all soon"
"Good Luck," the crew said, and Nate smiled, nodded, then departed, heading for the arena, just as Hugh gets back.
"That can't have been an easy battle Hugh," Rosa said, to which Hugh replied "Nah, it wasn't, but I figured I'd just get enough of a buff from a Coil to win"
"That was so cool big bro," Hannah said, to which Hugh replied "Thanks, sis. So, Nate's up"
"Yep," Rosa replied, to which Hugh nodded, and took a seat.

At the end of Group 8, Drayden stepped back to the arena, and said "And with that, we now move on to Group 9, which includes the final of the Aspertia City trio, Nate, as well as the Type Expert Trainer, Castor" and the crowd cheered appreciatively.

In the arena, Nate stepped up and noticed that he would be facing off against Lass Clarissa. Now, Nate would normally try to hit on her, but he knows better than to do that, as it'll throw him off his game. The Referee stepped up and said, "The battle between Nate of Aspertia City and Clarissa of White Forest will now begin. The format clock will now spin, and determine the format" and the clock spun and landed on Double Battle.
"Tropius, Zebstrika, let's go" Clarissa called, and Tropius and Zebstrika materialised.
"Reuniclus, Klinklang, Standy" Nate called, and Reuniclus and Klinklang materialised.

Battle: Reuniclus and Klinklang VS Tropius and Zebstrika
"Zebstrika, use Wild Charge on Klinklang" Clarissa called, and Zebstrika cloaked itself with electricity and crashed into Klinklang, inflicting Minor damage and taking Slight recoil.
"Well I know what needs to be done, so, Klinklang, use Shift Gear" Nate called, and Klinklang ground its gears while cloaked in silver energy, sharply raising its Speed, and increased its Attack.
"Tropius, use Energy Ball on Zebstrika" Clarissa called, and Tropius shot a ball of natural energy into Zebstrika, which did no damage and instead triggered Zebstrika's Sap Sipper Ability, increasing its Attack.
"There's the dangerous one, Reuniclus, use Psychic" Nate called, and Reuniclus shot a burst of psionic energy at Zebstrika, dealing about half of its health in damage.
"And now we have the Speed advantage, Klinklang, KO that Zebstrika with Return", and Klinklang cloaked itself with white energy, then struck Zebstrika, KO'ing it.
"Aw man, my strategy didn't work out well," Clarissa said as she withdrew Zebstrika. She then continued with "Well, Tropius, respond with Energy Ball" and Tropius shot a ball of natural energy at Klinklang, dealing Minor damage.
"Alright, let's continue the offensive. Reuniclus, use Psychic" Nate called, and Reuniclus shot a burst of psionic energy at Tropius, dealing Considerable damage.
"Now Klinklang, follow up with Gear Grind" Nate called, and Klinklang shot into Tropius while its gears are spinning, while covered in silver energy. Each hit did about a quarter of Tropius' health, and half overall.
"Oh no, I've lost. Grr, Tropius, use Air Slash on Reuniclus" Clarissa called, and Tropius shot a blade of sky blue energy at Reuniclus, not only inflicting Minor damage but causing Reuniclus to Flinch.
"Oh man, that sucks. Oh well, Klinklang, finish this with Return" Nate called, and Klinklang shot into Tropius while spinning its gears, while cloaked in silver, energy, which KO'ed Tropius.
"We won, woohoo!" Nate said, and both Klinklang and Reuniclus cheer.
Conclusion: Reuniclus and Klinklang win.

In the stands, Hannah said "Nate won! Woohoo!" and Hugh replied "That's the three of us through to the knockout stage, we have four wins, we can finish second at worst"
"It is? That's awesome" Nate replied, to which Hugh nodded.
"I think that leaves just Ash and Maximus, to win their fourth games and get through to the Knockout stage"
"We'll do it, no problem" Ash replied, and Hilda nodded.
