Chapter 75: Marsvasion!
The portal on Earth is located on some grassy area near Duckburg. It's a large gate made out of steel frames and it's shaped like a rectangle in vertical position. A control system with a console is just beside the gate on it's right. As of now, it's currently offline and, "VMMMMM..."
On second thought now it's online because an army of Martian Troopers, Strike Speeders, Space Speeders, Skimmers, Heavy Skimmers and Tripod Walkers emerged out as a convoy. And it's a huge army one can say...
On the moon...
Lunaris is seen at the console beside the gate overseeing the ground forces. Then, "General Redstone would like to meet you in person." The mind-controlled Gibbous reported. "Ah. Send him here." He replied and the order is given.
A few minutes later, a Martian Dropship landed and opened out some docking bay and a martian as tall as Lunaris with an athletic build and wearing gold armour, helmet and cape emerged and escorted by 2 Martian Royal Guards.
They are greeted by other Martian Troopers and the mind controlled Moonlanders as they soon met up with Lunaris. "Everyone is going according to plan I see Lunaris?"
"Redstone!" Lunaris greeted the leader of the Martians as they watched the screen console. "Magnificent. Earth is something!" Redstone began. "Indeed. Conquering this planet will really benefit us both." said Lunaris. "Ah yes. Just like before when our fathers signed the treaty. It really benefited our people with peace." said Redstone. Lunaris can agree with that and then, "Tell you this Lunaris, why not you go to Earth and assume command of the ground forces? I will stay on this moon and oversee it for you and ensure that the Psionic Radar here will be secured."
"Why not? Besides, the plan still goes on right?" Lunaris asked.
"Of course. Build the radar here because you told me your people turned against you for reasons unknown and build the other one on Earth so that all will yield to our authority." Redstone replied and the 2of them shared a positive laugh. After that, "Alright. I'll go to Earth and commence the invasion." Lunaris stated. "Very well. I will also have the fleet in the Earth's atmosphere to deploy all available ground forces and have some ships provide air support." Redstone stated. "Ha! Ha! I like that Redstone! See to it then!" Lunaris then entered the portal leaving Redstone to secure the Moon.
With that, "Sir? You sure we can trust the Moonlander on all this?" A Martian Trooper asked. "Our fathers signed the treaty long time ago. It's when we met and became fast friends. If Lunaris has a goal to accomplish, then we will help him achieve it." Redstone replied and then, "Give the order to the fleet holding in the Earth's atmosphere to deploy all ground forces on the entire planet."
"Yes sir!" The Martian Trooper replied and left as, "That way, Earth will be much easier to conquer. Even our mightiest weapons and ships can still be preserved if ever we face resistance." The Martian General thought with a smile.
Back on Earth at the Manor...
"If there's one thing I know for sure, the Martians are advanced in terms of their military strength." Penumbra spoke to the family when the computer screen showed a red exclamation mark in a triangle followed by more scenes being revealed on as Beakly went to check it. "Drop Pods!"
"Curse me kilts! So they're going all out huh?" Scrooge asked as the screen shows various scenes of drop pods landing on cities and countries and, "BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM! BAM!"
"Wot in tha blazes?!" Scrooge asked and then, "Sounds like some drop pods landed around your manor." said Penumbra as all gasped.
It cuts to the front entrance as, "IOOM!"
"We're in!" A squad of 10 Martian Troopers entered the manor followed by a Sergeant. "Search this place!" He ordered as the troopers prepare to disperse when Duckworth walked in. "Oh? Uninvited guests I see..." He spoke as the Martians readied their weapons. But Duckworth transformed into his spectre form and the next thing it happened...

"RUN FOR YOUR MARTIAN LIVES!"
"FALL BACK! FALL BACK!"
"I'M TOO YOUNG TO DIE AND BE HAUNTED!"
"Piece of cake." said Duckworth as he reverted back to his normal form when the family and Penumbra showed up. "Are you alright Duckworth?" Beakly asked. "No bruises and scratches Bentina." He replied when, "Oh my gosh! Look at the city!" Webby exclaimed as all went outside and gasped.
All over Duckburg, Martian Troopers fired their weapons at anything in sight. Buildings were damaged, streets are burning and lots of debris all over the city. The speeders and tripods did more damage as they blew vehicles up and burn some of the green nature.
"BAM!"
"Gizmoduck is here!" The armoured hero had just revved in as he launched shoulder-mounted boxing glove launchers and, "BAM! BAM!"
"IOOM! IOOM!" 2 of the Martian Tripods were destroyed as one of the troopers brought out a beam cannon when, "KLANG!"
"BZZZZZK!"
"ACK!" The Martian Trooper collapsed as some rod was recalled and Gandra Dee doning her armour made her appearance. "Tell you this, call me Gizmochick from now on okay?" Okay, you said it!
"Over here!" Gizmoduck called out to his ally as she flew down and detached her rod into 2 making them short as she started whacking and shocking some of the troopers for they switched their range weapons to their Martian Sharp Blades which are sharp swords made from their planet.
Meanwhile...
In St Canard, "I am the terror that deals with the outside threats! I am the one that will make you understand fear and terror! I am Darkwing Duck!" And our caped crusader threw smokebombs and used mixed martial arts on hordes of Martian Troopers as they attacked. The city is under enemy fire as the martians went around razing everything they see while the people ran for their lives.
And back to Duckburg...
While the fighting goes on, "Since Lunaris stepped forth on dis planet, I'll go an deal with him!" Scrooge declared. "Scroogey..."
"My luv. I'll be back. And fer you Diamond, daddy needs to kick some alien ass!"
"What the duck?!" All exclaimed. "This is the first time Uncle Scrooge said a bad word. Hope Diamond doesn't understand it." Della whispered to Penumbra and then, "So, where's your ship?"
"Right. Gyro! Help me on that one!" Della called out to the scientist. "Very well. Let's work on the preparations." Gyro replied for earlier on, Della told him of her plan so with that, they along with Penumbra, Donald and Launchpad took off.
After that, "We got to head back to out high school and save it from being destroyed!" Huey told the others. "Okay, let's go." Louie agreed as all prepared to leave when, "You coming Webby?" Dewey asked.
"Uh...no...I can't." Webby replied shaking her head. "Listen Webby, we'll cover for you. We'll make sure the school can put aside their hate." Huey assured to her. "And we need your badass moves to take down the Martians. Maybe that way, they can be convinced." said Louie. "And if they won't listen to us and try something on you, I'll be by your side to protect you." Dewey added.
Webby was still doubtful but still, "Let's go save our school. Louie, get the clique assembled."
"Now you're talking. You even read my mind!" Louie then whipped his phone out and sent the message. Once done, all headed to the school.
At Duckburg High...
When they arrived, "Most of the warriors are assembled but a few have yet to report here!" Melvin roleplay and reported. "Who are they?" Louie asked. "Sabrewing and Shopeck." He reported. Among the group, Lena knew they were at work and then, "What about Webby? Will the school do something about her?" Angelo asked as Webby looked surprised when, "I told the whole clique about everything." Lena revealed as the female members nodded at Webby in forgiveness surprising her some more. "We triplets will be responsible for this." Louie assured to the group when, "BAM!"
"Tripod walker!" Duncan shouted as, "Quick! Inside! Inside!" Huey ordered as the Besties Clique scrambled their way in as the walker arrived and it's cannon fired a sustained beam at the gate. "IOOM!"
Instantly, those still inside the school saw it and ran for their lives as the tripod started firing it's main weapon at the school. "VEEOW!"
The yellow green beam started cutting around the school when, "KSH!"
"Huh?" The pilot in the walker looked to see Webby break the glass hull open with her fist by punching through, grabbed him and threw him out. She found his weapon inside the cockpit so she used it and shot the control system causing the tripod to fall down on it's back.
"KSH! IOOM!"
All witnessed it but, "How dare the treacherous bitch stepped in!"
"She's not worth it!"
Everyone cursed and shouted at Webby when drop pods landed on the school grounds. "Crap! We gotta get outta here!" A boar student exclaimed so all ran out while the Besties Clique went inside. There, "This is an emergency! All students must evacuate to the underground shelter immediately!" Coach Catson is seen giving the order and, "Underground shelter?" Dewey asked. "Russell nearly broke Louie to death last year." Russell recalled. "What the duck?!" Lana and Luna exclaimed when, "You lot! Get inside now! The teachers here will escort you! Your safety is our priority!" Coach Catson then had a few teachers to escort. "Oh! Ms Tilly and Mr Gaston!" Louie recognized as, "Follow us quickly!" Ms Tilly ordered and the clique followed them.
They soon entered the cafeteria and there, she pressed a hidden button and a passageway opened up. "Inside hurry!" Mr Gaston ordered as all went inside and they remained to help evacuate the students.
Down there...
The clique soon reached the underground shelter and, "All 15 school cliques are here." Park noticed. "But the other students that are non-clique are nowhere to be found." said Deco. "Moreover, 2 of our members are not with us." said Louie. "Let's hope they're safe."
As the clique reached the ground. "There's Louie!" Rudy Rhymez It All called out as all the clique leaders went to meet him straightaway. "So it seems for us students, we are all that's left." said Louie. "Probably." said Jonathan. "All the teachers are trying to hide the others and the only adults here are those working in the cafeteria." said Ted.
And then, "What the duck is that bitch doing here?" Cheri asked as all the girls stood up with anger on their faces and fists clenched. "Okay, what's more important? Surviving from an invasion force of Martians or ganging up against a girl whom you all think that stirred up shit?" Huey asked but, "Damn you! We really need some justice!" Cheri snapped when Ted grabbed her hand. "It's not worth it babe."
"What?" She asked. "We got bigger problems besides your feud." He replied. "Yeah! If we don't do something together as a school, we'll never survive our school year and majority of the clique leaders here won't have their graduation!" Louie stated. And definitely, they need each other and they need to overcome all the trials together as a high school.
Meanwhile at the gate...
"I need to find the perfect location to establish the second Psionic Radar so that all of Earth will submit to me!" Lunaris thought as he used his scanners to scan around the city while the gate remains online and more of the Martian Military is being mobilized.
As he continued scanning, "Oh? A large building? Wow! The roof is really large enough to establish the radar! But what is it?" He went to the console to get data and after some computing, "Duckburg High...Perfect! Contact the fleet! Deploy the Psionic Radar on these coordinates!" Lunaris ordered as he showed a Martian Trooper the screen. With that, he relayed the coordinates.
At the school, the teachers and the principals are still trying to get their students to safety while the fighting is all over the city when, "Uh guys?" One of the teachers pointed at the sky and then, a dropship escorted by 2 gunships emerged and the dropship is carrying some cargo in the form of a large box and it set it down. Once down, the ships remain in air as the box unfolded out and the Psionic Radar activated itself standing tall and online.
From McDuck Manor, "That is one tall tower we are seeing over there." Launchpad told the group. "There! That's the machine that forced my people into submission!" Penumbra told them. "If such machine is on Earth..." Gyro began. "Then he's planning to activate the machine and soon enough, Earth will be enslaved by him and the Martians!" Della exclaimed and then, "The ship is ready! Your uncle's counting on you to save those Moonlanders." Gyro reported and behold, the Spear of Selene II. "It really has the same design but is slightly larger than before." said Penumbra. "And it's equipped with scatter laser turrets, torpedo launchers, reinforced armour made out of steel and a shield generator." Gyro explained the upgrades as Della got in the ship, "C'mon! We got a moon to liberate!"
"Agreed. For the Moon shall never have them!" said Penumbra as she, Donald and Launchpad entered the ship when fighting took place. "Don't worry! My associates and I will deal with it!" Gyro assured to them as it cuts to the gate as Lil Bulb and Manny the Headless Manhorse is wrecking 2 platoons of Martians as Gyro went to join the fight by drawing out 2 laser guns and firing them at the enemy. "Go! Take off!" Donald shouted shaking his sister as she elbow struck his guts and got the ship's engines running.
Down there outside the front gate as fighting continues on, all stopped to see the Spear of Selene II take off to outer space.
Back to Lunaris...
"Good news and bad news sir." A Martian Trooper went to bring his report.
"What's the good news first?" Lunaris asked.
"The good news is, the Psionic Radar is established online!" He reported.
"Excellent! Bad news?" Lunaris asked on.
"Uh...it'll take 24 Earth Hours to be fully operational enough to force the entire planet into submission." He reported. The general smacked his forehead. "Indeed, Earth and Moon hours are different. Still, we can accomplish the task at hand. Secure the school, take anyone there prisoners and deploy security around it. Make sure that tower does not fall! I can tell that Scrooge will set his eyes on it and will do anything to interfere with our plans!" Lunaris ordered as the trooper obeyed and went to relay the order. And then, he saw it.
"Impossible..." Then, "So you're alive Penumbra! Unforgivable!" He thought in anger as he grabbed a nearby trooper and, "Tell the fleet to open fire when it enters their space!" He ordered pointing at the ship and the trooper nodded.
And then...
Back at the school while the teachers are pondering over the device built on their area, "FREEZE!" They turned to see a platoon of Martians and a few of their vehicles in front of them. "WE SURRENDER!" Coaches Knight and Catson shouted frantically and the rest of their teachers smacked their foreheads. "That's just like in the movie where that panda shouted the same thing when he and his allies were surrounded by Wolf Warriors." said Dr Proton.
It now cuts to all of them handcuffed and rounded up including the principal and vice-principal. "Take them away to be locked up! Deploy security around this building!" A Martian Commander ordered and from inside, Algernon saw everything and ran off.
Back at the shelter...
"We need to first uncover why the Martians invaded our planet and-" Before Huey can continue, "HELP!"
"It's Algernon!" Ernest exclaimed as the weak bladder student hurried down the stairs. "I heard those aliens have deployed their forces around our school! They even had some machine on the roof! I don't know what it's gonna do but since it was just built up, it may need some time to get it hundred percent fully operational!"
"The same one on the moon..." Dewey thought. "We see it now..." Louie thought. "Their plan is to bring our planet into submission! If we don't destroy the machine, everyone on Earth even us will be nothing but mindless thralls to Lunaris..." Huey thought.
And definitely it's a race against time as it cuts to Scrooge, Gizmoduck and Gizmochick fighting hard and seeing the Psionic Radar established. And back at the manor, Gyro and his associates joined by Beakly and Duckworth witnessed it and inside the computer room, Goldie saw it via the screen and it also shows other countries under attack by the Martians. As for Lunaris, he can only smile deviously. Everything is going according to his plan...
The invasion has begun but the McDuck family just got started! How will they stop Lunaris and his Psionic Radars? How will Della and her group save the moon and how will the students of Duckburg High survive and find a way to save their school? Most importantly, will Earth survive another invasion like before? We are getting close people...close I repeat.
