Braxton House
"I've had about a hundred missed calls from mum. Have you seen her since she tried taking you home?" Tyler asks his middle triplet.
"Nope, I've been avoiding the outside world as much as I can." Lucas says. "Kyle didn't take it well and he's been quiet again since. He'd just got back into a good place and she has ruined that."
"You know Heath is willing to get rid of her for us. I can ask him to do it if you want?" Tyler asks.
"As in get rid of her for good?" Lucas frowns.
"Yeah." Tyler nods.
"I don't want her around, but that doesn't mean I want Heath risking a jail sentence for it or her to be murdered." Lucas says.
"Luc, I meant to send her back to Cairns!" Tyler laughs as their brothers walk back in from their surf with Kyle, who they met on the way back.
"What's so funny?" Casey asks.
"Nothing." Lucas mutters, shaking his head at Tyler. "It's just some people don't know how to word things right."
"I thought it was obvious Heath wouldn't have offered to kill our mum, no matter how bad we want to get rid of her." Tyler laughs. "You're meant to be the smart one."
"Stop!" Lucas moans. "On a serious note, I do want her to go because she's going to ruin our new lives here."
"Do you really want her gone?" Kyle asks, not wanting him to be upset over the decision, but he also saw how withdrawn he was after their encounter with them in the diner.
"I finally felt free after moving here. I know she's our mum, but you should be lucky you never had her around when you were growing up." Lucas says.
"A kids home wasn't much better, at least you had one home for your childhood." Kyle says.
"I'm sorry, I didn't mean-"
"It's fine." Kyle mutters. "I might just go and hang with Emily, bye." He says walking out.
"Kyle!" Lucas sighs.
"Don't take it personally. Meeting your mum really messed with his head, even if she basically blanked him." Heath says. "I just don't think he was ever expecting to meet her, so he didn't plan anything out as such."
"But that wasn't my fault."
"Lucas, what you have to realise is Kyle was abandoned by her as a baby. She kept you and Tyler and brought you up, even if she didn't do a great job of it. He's had so many questions about why she dumped him, why our dad never told him if he knew, why she never gave him a chance to be with you two." Heath says. "If you seriously want me to get her out of town, then I will. Until then, it's going to be tough on Kyle knowing she's around and doesn't want anything to do with him still."
"I want her gone and Kyle back." Lucas says, glancing at Tyler, who glances down. "Tyler?"
"She's our mum, we can't just tell her leave after she came all this way for us." Tyler mutters.
"She's the reason you were getting into trouble with the law all the time, being a parent and a brother, missing out on your teens just to fend for us." Lucas says. "Please think of our new family, our technically new triplet. She hid him from us for 20 years and it would have been longer if you never found the birth record!"
"I get that, Luc, but-"
"There's no but! If you want mum around, then go back to Cairns with her!" Lucas shouts, storming out.
"I'm with Lucas on this, I don't want that woman around." Heath says, needing to put Kyle first as he knew Brax would as well.
"Is this what you really want?" Casey asks, Tyler staring at him in confusion. "Your mum has barely been here two minutes, barely seen you and Lucas but look at the rift she is causing between all three of you. You are going to lose Kyle and Lucas for good if you don't do the right thing!"
"I get that, I really do! But mum is using some stuff against me and I've finally got my life on track." Tyler says.
"What is she using against you?" Heath asks.
"Just some stupid stuff I did as a kid, mainly criminal stuff. I know it's extremely unlikely anything will come from it, I just don't want to risk it after all the effort I've made changing myself over the past few weeks. I'm happy with where I am in life now, I just know she'll ruin that if I go against her."
"Don't worry about that, I'll sort it." Heath says.
Caravan Park
"Tyler!" Lucas shouts, stumbling over to his caravan. "Tyler!"
"Lucas, what're you doing?" Tyler hisses as opens his caravan door.
"I needed to talk to you, it's important." Lucas says, tripping as he walks into Tyler's caravan.
"It's three in the morning! Are you drunk?" Tyler frowns as he shuts the caravan door.
"So what if I am?" Lucas asks. "I need to talk to you."
"Yeah, you said. Why don't you just get some sleep and we'll talk in the morning?" Tyler says, about to move him over to the bed when he's shoved off.
"No, we need to talk now. How could you do this to me?" Lucas asks.
"Do what?" Tyler asks.
"I saw mum earlier, she came into Angelo's when I was closing up and she said you asked her to move here. You agreed to let Heath sort it so he'd stop her revealing your crimes or whatever she blackmailed you with." Lucas scoffs. "Kyle was there with Emily and heard the whole thing, now he's not answering any of my calls and won't let me see him. I hope you're happy with yourself because you've ruined our lives here."
"Luc, I never asked her to stay!" Tyler exclaims. "I swear on my life, I told her that I wanted her gone as well, even ask Heath because I went with him after you left. I love our new life here with all of our brothers, and I did it because this is the happiest I've ever seen you."
"Why would I believe you?"
"Because Casey was right! Mum is causing a rift between us all and it's working so much. Please believe me!" Tyler sighs.
"I just want Kyle to talk to me." Lucas mutters as he sits on Tyler's bed.
"We'll go and see him tomorrow. I think he's got a counselling session but I can check with Heath in the morning." Tyler says, going to sit next to him.
"Why did she even turn up like this?" Lucas asks.
"I don't know, she wouldn't really say. She was just really harsh and demanded that we go home with her. She still wouldn't acknowledge Kyle as her son, and she hated that we've got more brothers. She obviously never knew about them either." Tyler says. "But Heath is certain that she was going to leave town so we can work this out. I promise that you and our brothers come first. Mum, well she was never a mum to us. She was just the person who gave us a roof over our head, and was the one who nearly lost it as well. But none of that is relevant, I told her to go home. I've never felt more part of a family than I have here."
"I love that you love it here, I love it here." Lucas grins, slowly gazing over at him.
"Seriously, Luc, how much have you drank?" Tyler asks.
"I went for a beer with Blake." Lucas says.
"One beer doesn't even touch you. And it's nearly half three in the morning, so where have you been since closing Angelo's?"
"I went home to get changed and to call Kyle, but he wasn't answering his phone, so I went over to Irene's. She said he was out with Emily and wasn't going to be home for a while, then I met Blake. We went for a beer that may have turned into a few more." Lucas laughs. "He's a really good guy, you should meet him."
"I have met him, he's Kyle's best mate, remember?" Tyler shakes his head. "Take the bed and get some sleep, I'll have to call Heath in the morning cause there's no way you'll be up in time to open Angelo's."
"Brax is going to hate me." Lucas mutters as Tyler stands up.
"Why would Brax hate you?" Tyler frowns.
"I think I may have called him when I tried calling Kyle." Lucas says as Tyler takes his phone to check.
"Yeah you did, you were on the phone to him for over an hour. What did you say?" Tyler asks.
"I read out the letter we were going to give him for their honeymoon." Lucas says.
"The letter we did give them for their honeymoon?" Tyler frowns, taking another mental note to mention the phone call to Brax when he calls Heath in the morning.
"Yeah. We talked about other things. Do you think he would have thought I was Kyle?" Lucas asks as Tyler goes to get him some water.
"No, he's not that stupid." Tyler says, turning to see Lucas had passed out in the seconds he turned his back. "Great one mum." He whispers to no one, hating this situation they were in.
