Holding his clipboard, Dimitri started with Lila first, asking her name, age, and jotted everything down as she answered his questions. He then proceeded to check her heartbeat, her blood pressure, weight, everything he can with the equipment he had on hand.

Once he finished, Dimitri noted that her heartbeat's high, but Lila told him that she's not good at going to the doctors. Makes her heart beating mad sitting on those tables in a quiet room waiting for the doctor to come inside the room.

Sighing, Dimitri wanted to wait until she's settled to try her heartbeat again, give her time for her nerves to calm themselves, get a better idea then, and while waiting for it, he wanted to start on Theodore.

Turning his head, Dimitri asked for Theodore to take off his stitched long coat and scarf.

Reluctantly, Theodore obeyed, taking off his stitched long coat and scarf, carefully hanging them up on the rack near the door, revealing Theodore's white dress shirt, neatly pressed as big brother demanded when he's working at the library.

He sat on the table adjacent towards Lila as he asked Lila via telepathy what she had in mind to keep the fact he had two hearts a secret. Lila replied that he goes through with what Dimitri says and she'll do the rest.

Frowning, Theodore watched as Dimitri proceeded to get a fresh clipboard and paper, asking him his name, age, so forth.

He didn't have much of a choice, so he told Dimitri his real name, as telling them that he's the Doctor wouldn't bode well, since they'd frantically think he's a real doctor.

Rather deal with the headache, Theodore leaned on the truth as much as possible, his father wouldn't approved of him doing this, since he himself knew the ramifications of telling certain people he's the Doctor.

As Dimitri checked his blood pressure, Theodore looked towards Lila who reached into her trouser pocket, getting out a psychic paper she carried with her, just for an occasion like this.

Once Dimitri wrote down Theodore's blood pressure, he reached for his stethoscope, readying to check Theodore's heartbeat.

Wincing, Theodore recoiled as Dimitri pressed the stethoscope against his chest, hearing his hearts beat.

There's confusion on Dimitri's face as he brought it away from Theodore's chest, he's about to say something when Lila spoke up.

"Hey, doc, what's this paper for?" Lila convincingly held up the psychic paper as Dimitri turned around to look at her.

On the psychic paper, it told Dimitri that the stethoscope's one of the bad batches collected, Dimitri needed to stop using it, and find another pair.

"What, that's impossible, it worked fine before!" Dimitri's shocked as Lila showed him the fake paper saying that the one, he's using doesn't work as intended.

Baffled, Dimitri checked her heartbeat one more time, he's miffed when he started hearing two heartbeats, and when he checked his own, he heard similar.

Shaking his head, Dimitri muttered under his breath before he pulled the stethoscope away from his chest, pulling off his ears, and tossed it in the bins.

He ended up asking medical questions which Theodore answered and when Dimitri finished, he sighed as he filed their papers in the cabinets, before letting them leave the office.

Collecting their things, the two hurried out of there, Lila complimenting Theodore's ability to trick Dimitri that they all had two hearts via a brief use of telepathy, enough he can mess with Dimitri without too much of a risk.

"Just my job," Theodore yawns as he walked with her, arm in arm, trying to find their way around the quartered sections of the library. It's tall enough that with makeshift scaffolding, survivors built up miniature flats, made with whatever they found around the ruined city, using the ground floor up to the second, doing what they can to maximize the space in the large library.

Years of work went into making the library what it is for Prime, no space went unused, and as a cost for space, Prime didn't just let anyone into the camp.

Everyone did their share of work, if they didn't follow Cyrus out on his scavenging, there's plenty of work for them to do around the camp.

Building up defenses around the parameters, guard shifts, jobs such as these keeps things productive, and in return, nobody needed to worry about food.

With concerns of them unable finding things close to the camp, the leader of Prime, Josef, thinks they have better chances getting supplies in the outer areas.

Of course, he couldn't outwardly say anything about sending a team, due to the fears the survivors held about life outside the Ruins, and the fears of Omega circling around, waiting for a chance to swoop in on them.

They can trade with other camps for supplies, but Josef knew that time's coming where they can't trade for even a loaf of bread and he worried heavily about the safety of Prime.

Should anything happen to Prime, members risk having nowhere else to go, as other camps have their own prerequisite rules and restrictions.

If worse happens, the furloughed members won't have any choices but to survive on their own in the unforgiving lands outside the carefully constructed tunnels and passages.

The only way to ensure Prime's future, find steady supplies that they're able to trade without risking the demand shifting and prices dropping.

Few supplies offered that, hence Josef's concerns about the dwindling resources found closer to their camp.

Elsewhere, Theodore and Lila found people huddled around the fire pit as they kept themselves warm during the cold nights.

Among them's Vodka and he's telling stories to the others in the camp, among them small children held by their parents.

His eyes lit up by the flames, Vodka begins telling a ghost story about a tunnel somewhere underground, the only tunnel that looked pristine, with soft lights on the walls.

It's wide enough that those who discovered it would've thought it used to be another subway line or an old military tunnel that once saw vehicles coming through it in the cover of darkness.

Anyone who discovers the tunnel would be forgiven if they thought it led somewhere, and those who went through the tunnel found that it's longer than any tunnel charted. They're not alarmed, they haven't found a creature trying to kill them or someone picking a fight with them, for the most part, they felt safe in the tunnel.

Continuing through the tunnel, they find that no access tunnels, no ladders, and when they turn around to leave, they find that there's a wall behind them, preventing them from leaving.

Forced, they continue their desperate attempts to escape this tunnel, but they can't find anywhere to escape through, no dynamite, no nothing, just the clothes on their backs and meager weapons.

Sleep starts taking over, their eyes growing heavier, their legs turning into cement blocks they forcibly pull forward to walk, and then they're forced to stop in their place.

They sit down, their eyes too heavy to keep open for long, but as their eyes closed, there's movement in the corner, enough they're able to jolt their eyes open, for a little while.

There's a large open-faced pipe in the wall adjacent, they didn't notice it there before, it's as though it suddenly appeared.

Couldn't go near it if they could, but as their eyes remained open for a little bit, they noticed two boney starchy white arms snaking out of the pipe.

Resting on the ground, the long-clawed hands moved like spiders, crawling around the ground, then they stopped and turn towards the poor bastard stuck on the ground unable to move.

Couldn't fight as the hands moved like a tiger, grabbing both feet, dragging them towards the hole. Try as they might, they can't escape, as the hands successfully pulled their feet towards the edges of the pipe.

The only thing they'll ever see before they die's the face of a gaunt man with large protruding teeth, his narrow frame that of a fiddle's body, and his large black eyes. That of a spider's. Behind him, there's more hands as they begin grasping the shins, yanking the poor bastard inward.

It's said that this mythical tunnel's a trap, once someone ends up in it, there's no escape, they're doomed the moment the mysterious pipe shows up.

Nobody knows where it is or how it shows up, but if someone doesn't recognize the eerily signs, they too will meet the same grim fate.

Finishing his story, Vodka snorted as he laughed loudly, much to the dismay of onlookers who listened to his story, and he apologized before saying that it's just a story that he heard from someone in Prospect.

"Is there a monster like that Uncle Vodka?" One of the children asked him and as he smiled, Vodka warmly told the child that he never seen anything like it before, but he couldn't deny that there isn't a chance it could exist to some capacity.

This strange new world they're living in, anything's possible, and he encouraged the child to follow his and the others' examples, don't go down tunnels they don't recognize.

The child nods and the session concluded as people moved away from the fire, moving to their respected flats for the night.

A little later after looking around a while, Theodore and Lila found a place to sleep for the night, cramped, but the aloof giant managed to make it comfortable for both. Rearranging the cramped boxy flat, Theodore made it big enough for the two to sleep on the ground, with Theodore's coat, he made it comfortable for them to sleep on it.

The next day, Cyrus found them, saying that they have jobs as Josef ordered.

"You'll join our scavenger team," Cyrus told Theodore that since he's part of Prime, now, part of comes with working a job to support the camp.

Raising her hand, Lila asks about her job and disappointed when Cyrus said that Josef thinks she's better off working with Dimitri as a nurse.

"Why can't I be a scavenger, too?" Lila curiously asks why she couldn't be one like Theodore and Cyrus bluntly stated that it's because she's a woman.

With camps like Omega, it's dangerous for women like her to travel outside the safe zone.

Too many stories of women beaten and dragged away by unscrupulous members.

"There'd be a rainbow in the dark before I let you travel with us," Cyrus bluntly tells Lila.
