Chapter 76 – The Next Day
Leia and Han's apartment:
It was 8 in the morning and Leia was in the kitchen making breakfast. Today she had to go the Senate. Yesterday she had a day off because it was her birthday, but today she needed to get back to work, but she will enter the Senate as a fiance now. Looking at her beautiful engagement ring, she couldn't help but smile. She never thought Han was the type of a guy that wants to get married. She didn't mind to live with him, after all they were living together for months now, but deep inside she always dreamed with a wedding day, wearing a wedding dress, and now she will have that. Now what she needed was to plan everything and being the perfectionist she always was, she would start soon and the first thing she wanted to find out was the place where she wanted to married. She didn't want to marry the same place that Luke and Ines married. She wanted to be in a different location. But with the work in the Senate, she needed help and after seeing the amazing things Ines did for the Temple, she indeed was the perfect person to help her with the wedding planning.
Feeling two arms wrapping around her waist, she smiled
"Good morning future Mrs. Solo" Han told her at her ear
"Mrs Solo? Who told you I want to take your last name" she replied turning around and wrapping her arms around his neck.
Han looked at her
"Well I thought that after we married you could take the Solo name, but hey if you don't want, I will not be upset. I will still love you."
Leia smiled at him
"Leia Organa Solo" she said thinking "I kind of like it" and with a smile she kissed him.
"You don't planning to use the Skywalker name, do you?" Han asked her after a while making Leia sigh. "I'm just asking okay" he said raising his hand "I'm not trying to force you on anything. After all that is a decision that only you can take."
Leia nod. She knew Han was right. Sitting by the table, they started to eat the breakfast
"I will always be an Organa and that is the name I want to wear forever, even if I know I'm a Skywalker by blood, but wearing that name…. I don't know, I just can't do it"
Han hold Leia's hand and kissed it.
"Leia, you must do what you feel right, but I know I'm not the right person to say this but let me tell you just this: as long as you take that anguish against your biological father, sooner or later it will consume you. I'm not tell you to forgive him now. Take your time. It can take days, weeks, months, even years, but you two need to find peace: you and him. There will be a time you need to talk to him again and trust me, when you do, you will fell so much better"
"Hey since when you became so philosophical?" she giggled
"I have my moments you know. After all you were the one who told me that remember?" he winked making shake her head, but she knew he was right. Sooner or later she need to find the strength to talk to her father again and put that pain and hate behind her back. The question was it would bring her peace of mind? Luke did find it and so did Ines. She accepted Anakin as her father in law. If her sister could, she could too, right?
Coruscant Royal Hotel:
Inside their hotel suite, the Skywalkers were laying in bed. Luke was supporting himself on his left elbow, while he ran his right prosthetic hand down Ines naked back. Ines was on her stomach, with her arms under the pillow, with her eyes close, feeling her husband hand on her back.
They were awake for a while now, and decided to stay there, relaxing after an intense night for them, before they head home.
Luke leaned down and started to kiss Ines lower back, going up, making Ines smile feeling Luke's lips going up her back. Once he reached her neck, he ran his fingers through her long hair and pulling aside, he kissed her neck and then nibble her earlobe, whispering to her
"My beautiful, and amazing wife" making Ines smiled and opening her eyes, amber met blue, and Luke lick Ines lower lip asking for entrance, that she allowed and soon they were sharing a deep kiss. Luke grabbed the base of her neck and pulled her closer while they kissed, letting the force flow through them, making the moment even stronger as usual between them.
Pulling apart, Luke rest his head on the pillow while continue to ran his fingers on Ines hair, and stare at her in silence
"Are you going to stay there in silence all morning?" she giggled and he kissed her shoulder and rest his head again on the pillow.
"I like to watch you while we're in bed. Always did since the moment we started to share it" he smiled "And I know you like it too"
"I do, but normally you beat me all the time cause you are the morning bird of the family" she replied
"Actually we got another morning bird that wakes even earlier than me" he said making her laughed.
It was true, their baby many times woke up at the sun rise crying to show his parents it was his time for his meal.
"Speaking of our little morning bird, I loved last night, be just the two of us but I miss our little treasure so much." she said looking at him
"I know what you mean. I miss him too" he replied playing with her hair "But I also loved our night. It was like old times, just you and me. But deep inside I wont change our lives with our little boy for anything. I love being a father and you made that wish and dream come true"
"Well I needed you for that remember?" she laughed making him laughed too
"Look at us, married and parents of the most beautiful baby boy in the galaxy" Luke smiled "I can't wait to have our twins and our other boy too."
"I already love those kids and they don't even exist yet" she said to him
"Me too." he said
"I'm just scare the things the empire followers will try to do with them and with our Ben?" she said serious
"I will protect you all. Nothing will happen to you my love."
"My powerful and strong private protector. I like it" she said and rolled on top of him, making his smile when her long hair fall over their heads, making him pull it apart.
"Kiss me" he told her
"As you wish, Master" she giggled and leaning down she kissed him again.
After pulling apart, Luke get out of bed and with a grin he grabbed Ines and pull her over his shoulder
"Luke!" Ines laughed "What are you doing?"
"Taking a nice shower with my lovely wife and maybe something else" he said laughing and walked them towards the bathroom.
After making out in it and finishing taking their shower, they got dressed and left the hotel, eager to get home.
Once they entered in their apartment, Jobal was with her great grandson, talking to him, while the baby kept his eyes on her shiny necklace.
"Look who came from the long date" she smiled at her grandson and granddaughter in law.
"Morning." Luke smiled and kissed her cheek.
"Hello Jobal." Ines said and looked at her baby with a big smile "Hi my love" she told him and her heart melt when her little Ben gave her his big smile. "Yes it's me your mother" she picked him up and hold him closer to her, resting his little head on her cheek "I missed you so much" she said looking at Luke, who wrapped his arms around them and kissed his son head, smiling when his boy looked at him and smiling he started to made his baby noises, like he was happy to see his parents.
"How did he spend the night?" Luke asked his grandmother
"He is the most quiet baby ever. He didn't cry at all, slept very well and eat very well too. It was around 6 in the morning when he awake."
Luke nod
"Baby Ben is a very behave human being, Master Luke" 3PO said making Luke giggled at him
"Thanks 3PO" he replied
"Thank you for watching over them Chewie and 3PO" Ines thanked the droid and the Wookie who growled at her, making Ben smiled at the Wookie. He loved Uncle Chewie
"It is always a pleasure to take care of such a behavior baby Ma'am" 3PO told her.
The door opened and Han and Leia entered in the apartment, making Ines and Luke turned and smiled at them
"Look who just entered in the room: the new engage couple" Ines told them smiling "Let me see it"
Leia laughed and showed her left hand where the beautiful pink ring shine on her finger
"Look at that. Nice Han. Lando knows how to pick wedding dresses but you can pick engagement rings" she said looking at him
"Thank you" Han said
"I can't" Luke said crossing his arms and looking at Ines
"You can too, you know I love my engagement ring cause it is special" she said looking at her left hand "But that is a big rock"
Luke couldn't help but laugh at that. She was right, the ring was very beautiful.
"So when do you plan to married" Ruwee asked them
Han and Leia looked at each other
"We don't know yet. We still have a lot to plan" Leia said to him
"Well I'm here to help if you need." Ines smiled to her friend
"I was counting on it" Leia replied "But we need to get back to work, we just pass by to show you the ring"
"Thanks." Luke said "Hey I'm happy for both of you. We both are"
Leia hugged her brother.
"You know who is walking me down the aisle, don't you?"
"It will be a pleasure dear sister" he said kissing her forehead.
Smiling back they left the apartment. Luke was happy for his twin sister. Leia and Han deserved the same happiness that he had with Ines.
And the birthday day passed. Leia and Han are engaged and Luke and Ines are with their baby. But something is coming.
