A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 7: The Acknowledgement [Part 5]
Byakuya could not help but feel upset, though he will never acknowledge it.
Upset that, it's been weeks since Rukia returned from the human world, and yet the gloom surrounding her, persisted.
It's like, her separation from Kurosaki, hurts her a lot.
Does she loves… Kurosaki…
This thought bothered Byakuya a lot more.
Since Rukia, returned to her old routine of avoiding him, for no reason at all.
Though, she furiously apologizes for not joining him with their meals, and spouting various excuses…
Byakuya could not get off the feeling that it was intentional.
Rukia is deliberately avoiding him.
Why?
He does not know. Though, he would do everything to know the reason.
And yet, he could not just approach her, knowing that he still crave for her attention, and thus might cause unnecessary problem, when he did try to come close to her.
And thus.
He avoided her as well.
But they will never be able to avoid each other for long, when they both live under one roof.

That peaceful night, as Byakuya walked towards the Sakura tree, in which Rukia had forlornly sat on, once again.
Noticing how her raven black eyebrows, crunched together, contemplating.
"Rukia" he called, stoic.
Silence.
Then Rukia looked up at him, with eyes that expressed too much loneliness.
Byakuya had felt a tug on his numbed heart. Beating irregularly.
"Byakuya"
Did she remembered?
