Chapter 74 (Hidden Cousin)

Wave pushing and pulling reached my ears, causing me to start to wake up. Light footsteps pulled me from my sleep. Slowly blinking to find myself in the healer cabin at Camp. Pushing myself up from my bed, looking around to see where the guys were and Alex. Seeing that Alex was still resting. I could see she was wearing a tank top and could see that there were white bandages on her side. Apollo camper healers were walking around.
"Hey, how are feeling?" A girl asked coming to my side.
"How did I get here?" I asked.
"Chiron found you both pass out on the big house pouch." The girl said.
"Really?" I asked.
Remembering what happed with Shredder and everything. Gripping my sheet tightly, glancing down to see my arms covered in bandages.
"Whatever happens to you and her looks like you both have been in Hades of a fight I would like to see what the other guy looks like." She said.
"Yeah I'm sure you would," I said. "How back do I look?"
"You had a lot of cuts and bruises, you might even have a concussion," She said. "So you need to take it easy for a while."
"Got ya," I said.
Clip clops alerting us both to Chiron coming. He appeared in the doorway.
"Tabitha you're awake," He said. "Thank the gods."
"Hello Chiron," I said smiling at him. "I don't remember getting here but I was told that you found Alex and myself on the pouch of the big house."
"Yes that is true, Alex was bleeding out," He said. "Well, you were covered in sallow cuts and bruises. I was wondering if you both could tell me what happened exactly."
"It's complicated," I said glancing at the sheets. "It's something that I would rather talk in private about it."
"Understood," He replied. "Katie was is the statue of Alex?"
"She is healing," Katie replied. "But she still hasn't woken up as of yet." "We will keep an eye on her then," He said. "Would you mind given us the room?"
"Of course Chiron." She said turning and walked off.
He turned to face me. "Now what happens?"
"Like I say before it complicated," I replied. "Turns out that we been fighting in a war between two ninja clans, Alex and myself have been fighting against the foot clan with the Hamato clan for a while now."
Chiron gave me a look but said nothing for a long minute.
"Why would you join in this?" Chiron asked.
"Because there are friends and family," I replied. "I could talk to them about everything Chiron but more there welcome me into their clan even if through I shifted plus they treated me like a normal person. I just pray the Guys and Master Splinter were okay.
"That least you are okay and alive," Chiron said. "Let's just hope that Alex wakes up. I'm shocked that she didn't bleed out."
He looked over to Alex's still sleeping form. Glancing over at her as well.
"We have a lot of talk about Tabitha," He said looking at me concern. "It involves the great prophecy and one of your brothers."
"What is going on Chiron?" I asked shooting him a look "What is it did someone died?"
"Thankfully no but it's also I wish it did happen," Chiron said. "Luke."
"What did Luke do?" I asked.
"He betrayed us all," Chiron said.
"What, Why?" I asked.
"He joined Kronos," Chiron said simply.
"Are you serious why would he do that?" I asked. "We all know how bad and evil he is so why would he believe and follow him."
"Like I say before he betrayed us," Chiron said.
"You also said something about the prophecy?" I asked.
"Alex might no longer being demigod of the prophecy," He said simply. "There is a younger demigod of the big three."
"Who?" I asked looking at him with a look of told you soon.
"A young demigod of Poseidon, Percy Jackson." He replied.
"How young?" I asked.
"12," He said. "Unfortunately Luke did try to kill him with a pit scorpion thankfully we save him and he is rest in the big house."
"Thank the gods," I said. "And I'm sorry that Luke did this."
"It's not your fault Tabitha." He said placing a hand on my shoulder. "If you are up to move, I think you need some food and be with your half-siblings at this troubling time."
"Yes Chiron," I said. "I think I'm good to go, but I need to make a phone call."

"Pick up, pick up," I whispered on the phone. "Please pick up."
"Hello," I heard April's voice.
"April?" I asked.
"Tabitha," April said sounding shocked. "Where are you and Alex? Are you okay? The Guys and Master Splinter have been worrying about you both."
"April," I said. "Take a breath. We are okay we healing up at camp, are the Guys and Master Splinter okay?"
"Thankfully there are okay," April said. "Master Splinter Tabitha is on the phone."
"Tabitha where are you and is Alex with you?" Master Splinter asked.
"We are at Camp Sensei," I said. "Alex and I are healing, I don't know how we made it here."
"That least we know that you made it back to the earth," He said. "You need both need to heal."
"Yes Sensei," I said. "Goodbye Sensei we will see you guys later."
Hanging up on the phone and taking a much-needed deep breath the Guys and Master Splinter was alright and alive. There were up at the farmhouse.
Walking back outside from the big house, I was shocked that Mr. D was nowhere to be seen which was better. Many of the campers were walking around and enjoying the summer sun. I was don in borrow clothes from another camper. Bright white bandages were covering my arms from the cuts and bruises. Running alerted to campers coming in, turning speedily to see the Stoll brothers running towards me.
"Tabby," Connor announces pulling me into a hug.
Fighting back a hiss.
"Too tight." I hissed.
Connor quickly releases me.
"Right sorry forgot about the bandages." He said sheepishly
"It alright Connor," I said offering a bittersweet smile. "I'm alright how is everyone holding up with the whole you know what,"
They both looked at me unsure.
"Chiron told me, everyone."
"It's hard everyone else keeps looking at us like we going to go to Kronos' side," Travis added.
"We need to hold a vote on who is going to be the new counselor of the Hermes cabin," Connor added.
"When the vote?" I asked.
"We were set to look and bring you to the cabin," Travis said.
"Let's go then who is there thinking of?" I asked easily keeping up with them.
"Someone suggested you," Connor said. "Even though you don't come to camp all the time."
"No thank you," I replied. "If anything I think you two would be a great counselor."
"Thanks for the vote," Travis added.
(Alex P.O.V.)
All I could feel was pain, could hear screaming and laughing. Pushing my thoughts down.
"Wake up, wake up," I yelled at myself.
Ripping my eyes open, only to shut them once again. Slowly blinking until my eyes began okay with the light. Looking around to see that I was in the healing hut at camp. Feeling the pain from my side, instantly remembering what happens to shut my eyes shut once again, making myself breathe through the pain. Slowly opening my eyes, the pain started to dissipate. Carefully reaching down to feel the bandage wrap tightly around my gut. Feeling more bandages wrap around me.
Knowing that I was safe, waves hitting the sand pushing and pulling brought me some peace. Hoofs brought my attention to the doorway, glancing to see Chiron walking towards me.
"Before you start," I muttered. "I needed to protect everyone including Tabs and the Guys."
"You are damn lucky that you and Tabatha survived," Chiron said. "Tabitha told me everything."
Carefully pushing myself from a laying position, feeling the pain again but push it down.
"I know you're disappointed in me more than Tabitha," I said simply.
Chiron said nothing but gave me a look, which I gave one back.
"Tabitha told me about the Hamato clan and the war between them and the person called the Shredder," Chiron said.
"Yes, I'm not surprised," I replied. "I know that she had to say something about being hurt and things about it."
"Yes, I understand that," He said. "We have to talk, there have been situations as of late."
"Care to tell me?" I asked reaching for a glass of water.
"Kronos is stirring and Luke Castellan help with it," He said. "And I have to tell you that you have another cousin."
"Like another Apollo kid?" I asked.
"No Alex more like one of the big third," Chiron said. "A son of Poseidon."
"Younger or older?" I asked refusing to look at him.
"Alex," Chiron said.
"Younger or older?" I asked again.
"Younger," Chiron said.
"I want to meet him," I said simply.
"It might be hard right now Alex," Chiron said.
"How it is hard?" I asked.
"Come and you will see then," Chiron said.

Sitting in the big house, unsure what to do or say. Somehow we survived the battle with Shredder, not sure why but sent Tabs and myself to camp not knowing if the Guys were okay. Seeing the young boy that was my cousin, a one Percy Jackson, short jet black hair, tan complexion. Sleeping in one of the medical beds.
Looking out at the campground, unsure to make sense of what I was being told, the fact there was another demigod of the big three was here in the camp without my knowing.
Hooves alerted me to Chiron or a satyr, hearing four stompings instantly knowing that it was Chiron.
"When were you going to tell me about him?" I questioned refusing to look at him.
"Alex I…" Chiron started.
"I will say it about again if and when you were going to tell me about him," I growled standing up and shooting him a death look. "Answer me."
"I didn't know if the boy until he arrived to the camp," He said. "I'm trying the truth, Alex."
"Why do I smell bull shit?" I questioned hands moving into fists. "Chiron you didn't think of telling me that moment that he was claimed?"
Shadows slithered up one arm, while the fire roared to life up the other.
"Alex this isn't you," Chiron said.
"Well maybe I'm different now," I growled. "I'm done being lied to and hate that my destiny is already written, and I will tell you this Chiron, this great prophecy that you claim is mine, it's not! It has never been mine!"
"Alex," Chiron said walking over and placing hands on my shoulders. Causing me to look up at him, "I understand that you are sure that the great prophecy is not ours but it could still for tell that you are the demigod of the great prophecy."
"No," I ordered fighting to break free from him. "It's not my destiny and I'm over seventeen meaning I aged out of the prophecy."
"Alex," He said again and pulled me into a hug. "It's alright."
Allowing myself to relax in the hug, both the fire and shadow disappeared from my hand, as the tears began to fall down my eyes.
"Alex?" I heard Tabs, voice filled with concern. Looking at her eyes wet and stickily from the tears. Chiron released me into Tabs opening and waiting arms
She let me tightly being mindful of my sides, and let me just cry on her.
"It's okay it's okay." She whispered letting me cry it out.
"I told her about her cousin Tabitha," Chiron said.
Feeling the tears dry out, and knowing that the crying was over.
"He told me about the cousin." She said to me.
Pushing away from her, giving her a look which she just offered me a smile.
"I'm free from this prophecy," I announced. "It not my job anymore."
She laughed at my announcement to the world.
"It seems that you are feeling a bit better," Chiron said.
"Yes because I don't have the weight of the world on my shoulder anymore," I replied.
Chiron gives me a look but shook his head at my announcement.

"So the Hermes cabin wants you to be a counselor?" I asked as we sat on the big house pouch.
"Yes and after Luke leaving us, the counselor role is vacant and they want someone to fill it," Tabs said. "I made it clear that I'm not interesting but I stood with the Stoll brothers to be the new counselor a dual counselor."
"Do you think there are going to allow it?" I asked.
"I think it went over well enough," She replied. "Have you meet the cousin yet well aware that is?"
"Nope I would like him to wake up so we can talk," I said.
"Are you worried about Kronos waking up?" She asked.
"Are you?" I asked.
"Somewhat I don't know what is going to happen," She replied.
"I agree," I said. "But whatever happens we got each other's back right?"
"Yes," She said and placed a hand on my shoulder. "We always got our backs and just so you know that the Guys and Master Splinter are okay."
"I knew that no ringing in my ears," I replied. "Where are the Guys and Master Splinter?"
"The farmhouse." She replied.
"Hopefully after we are healed enough we could go and see the Guys and Master Splinter," I said.
"Yes hopefully." She replied.
