A/N: I just wanna post everything I've got, damn the consequences, and see what happens. I'm soo close to the end. Anyway... I beg you to search images for this beast. It's a real myth, and scientifically, it's not impossible to have existed at one point. And while I do try to describe it... the pics are better.
~Centicore~
Killian had the fish hanging on fishing wire from his hook. He'd originally set out to refill the canteen, but found that no matter how much he drank, the damn thing kept full. Emma must have spelled it. He had no idea she knew how to do anything magickal intentionally, but she was the only one who could have done it.
He couldn't help but feel the pride swelling in his chest.
Having found a stream for the task, realizing he no longer needed to use it for his original intentions, he decided not to waste the trip. It was obvious in the clear waters that there were many fish, and he decided, why the hell not? The last of the Jackalope had long been gone, eaten as he taught her how to build a hammock. He hadn't realized how useful his stay in Neverland would eventually become, but there was the proof, in their safe night of sleep high above the ground.
When he made it to the tree he was sure they had climbed, he was startled to realize she was not there. Basted woman had left, with no word- Looking around was of no help in the thick foliage. He convinced himself, rather than to panic, that it was entirely likely that she could still be in the tree, very well hidden. He began to climb.
Halfway up, he caught sight of a beast he knew never to cross - a bloody Centicore. He'd lost many a friend stupid enough to try and hunt such a thing.
Reddish brown fur with white stripes, and fringe for a mane that trailed below the beast's muzzle and onward toward it's stomach. The beast's body mainly resembled a horse, though it was much larger. A normal man could stand with his head to it's shoulder. The head was more like that of a deer, with the exception of the protruding tusks, penetrating from its mouth. His antlers went straight out to each side, each as sharp as any sword and much stronger, being made of calcified bone. Nothing, to his extensive knowledge, could stop this beast.
As maneuverable as a shark in water, as smart as a human, these beasts were not to be trifled with.
That's when he saw her, and his heart stopped. She had just stepped closer to the thing, and it was looking right at her.
Thank you for reading!
