For that short word, Rukia conveyed her deepest lonesome feelings.
Byakuya…. I remembered.
Rukia thought, as she stared at his eyes intently, for the first time since she was adopted, 50 years ago.
She remembered the very first time they met…
It was…
Unexpected.
Truly fateful day.
The day she had foolishly fallen in love with him.
And yet…
He left her.
Hanging…
At that thought, Rukia turned her head away from Byakuya, who was just looking down at her, unmoving.
"Nii-sama" Rukia called as tears flows down from her closed eyes.
Silence filled the night, as they just remained still.
No words were spoken…
Only breathe of cold air.
"I… I remembered" Rukia said after a while, her voice expressing so much pain.
And yet, Byakuya could only stare at her, not knowing what to do…
For the first time in his life.
