Everyone followed Viper who lead them somewhere before stopping on what looks like a helicopter stop before it started shaking being raised up.
"What the hell?" Yosuke questioned.
Soon the ledge exited the lab where they see Academy Island around them at night as Viper smirked turning over, "A perfect setting for this battle wouldn't you agree team? To where I can use your Dueling Energies to take back what's mine, and get Pierce back!"
"So that's it, you've been draining the students here using the Bio-Bands to bring your son back from the dead." Naoto noted.
"But that's impossible, you can't bring back the dead." Chie argued.
"I used to think I can't but remember what I told you about that arm?" Viper reveals his left arm looks demonic, "She can bring Pierce back to me by giving her energy, and it's nearly complete!"
"You're kidding me, you made an actual deal with a devil?" Rise asked in disbelief. "How stupid are you?"
"Don't be delusional. It is not the Devil." Viper stated simply.
"What is it then?" Yukiko asked.
"Something you all experienced... A Persona." he revealed.
The entire Investigation Team froze hearing that.
"What... what did you just say?" Teddie asked.
Viper raised the arm as it glowed where Rise felt the presence she felt sometimes.
"That... you guys, it's Jaden's Persona, the one Aster destroyed!" she told them in shock.
Viper raised an interested eyebrow, "Oh Jaden knows her? That explains why she has her eye on him."
"Hold on, how does he have Jaden's Persona? What's going on here?" Chie questioned.
"I don't know, but if it is the same Persona we can't duel Viper." Yu frowned as the others noticed he looked uncertain of himself.
"Well you don't have a choice. You challenged me so you have to honor the warrior's code." Viper told Yu, "If you backdown then maybe Jaden can fill in for you."
Yu frowned at that before closing his eyes and reluctantly activating his Duel Disk.

"What was that?" Yu questioned.
"That's what called a Venom Counter. We will get to it all in good time." Viper smirked before looking at his hand, "Moving on, I activate Molting Escape!"

At that the ledge around them moved around into a swamp like environment.

They looked around before noticing something on Jack Frost.

Yu grunted at that and looked to be in pain.
"What just happened?" Teddie questioned.
Viper smirked, "Remember the Venom Counter, Venom Snake placed on his monster?" He pointed to where they see the place where the Counter bit Jack Frost is turning purple looking infected, "As long as Venom Swamp is on the field all monsters that have a Venom Counter are poisoned, and lose 500 attack points for each of those counters."
"Poisoned?" Yukiko asked nervously.
"So not only does your snake get stronger Yu-Sempai's Personas get weaker?" Kanji questioned.
"Pretty much." Viper smirked, "But he'll catch a break cause on the turn Venom Snake's special ability is used it cannot attack. However..."
A second Venom Counter popped out of the swamp jumping on Jack Frost wrapping around his neck before biting him there where it's turning infected.

Yu winced and fell to one knee at that.
"During every End Phase, Venom Swamp places a Venom Counter on all monsters on the field." Viper smirked at this.

Yu was breathing heavily as he drew his card.
"I... switch Jack Frost to defense mode, and use his ability to destroy a face-up card in your spell and trap zone. That means... Molting Escape." he said weakly.
Jack Frost switched. (Defense Position) Before firing a freezing blast destroying Viper's equip spell while the shell on Venom Snake faded which Viper only shrugged unfazed.
"I... end my turn." Yu whispered.
At that a third Venom Counter popped out wrapping around Jack Frost's other arm infecting it.
Jack Frost: (Venom Counter: 3/ATK: 500 - 500 = 0)
Viper smirked, "And now Venom Swamp's other effect activates!"
"What other effect?" Teddie asked nervously.
"Whenever a monster's loses all it's attack points by Venom Counters that monster is destroyed!"
At that Jack Frost cried out shattering which leaves Yu defenseless. Yu cried out himself and collapsed to his hands and knees.
"You, and your monsters cannot handle the venom." Viper smirked as Yu's graveyard glowed, "Hm?"
"Jack Frost's ability... when it's destroyed I can add... another Persona to my hand as long as it isn't of the Magician Arcana." Yu explained adding the card before taking a slow breath.

At that a green two headed cobra raise up hissing.

'It's all I can do for now.' Yu frowned. "I end my turn."
At that the Swamp attached a Venom Counter on Alice.

"It's ok, that Snake is gone and Alice is still stronger than his Venom Serpent." Yosuke pointed out as Yu winced from even more poison.

"Don't be to sure." As Viper drew he called, "Remember what my Snake's effect is? Well guess what, Serpent has the same effect!" Serpent shot more purple goo which formed another counter at Alice.
Yu's eyes widened hearing that as both he and Alice winced in pain.

"And now that she's weak enough Serpent destroy it!" Viper called as Serpent hissed charging to destroy Alice.
The attack hit as Yu cried out in pain.

"Yu!" the Team cried in concern.
He weakly got up but was clearly in bad shape.
"Viper's venom is having a dangerous effect on him." Naoto frowned.
"This isn't even hard. In fact pretty easy." Viper smirked at Yu, "You disappoint me, I thought with me around you grow stronger but turns out what holds you back was that girl that's too young to be here is that it?"
Yu's eyes widened. "What?"
"I know that ever since that Dojima Girl's been around you've shut yourself off from everyone to my arrival to where I had Axel get you on the battlefield to examine your abilities to where he had pretended to put her in danger." Viper stated coldly, "Now I get it, the reason why your weak is because of her which means whenever she's in danger you let loose."
"You wouldn't!" Chie panicked hearing that.
"If you won't fight to your full abilities then you'll regret it with her in line, do you understand?" he asked Yu calmly letting him know he's serious.
Yu's eyes widened hearing that before for the briefest of moments his eyes flashed yellow for the first time. "Don't touch her."
"Then fight like you mean it." Viper stated calmly, "Battle me seriously or she's ruined."

Loki charged an attack which made Viper cry out as Serpent, Swamp, his two set cards, and Yu's face-down are all shuffled into their Decks making Loki the only monster standing.
"Alright Sempai, now his monsters won't get poisoned anymore!" Teddie cried with a smile.
"Now I sacrifice Fool Persona Loki!" Yu called coldly. "To summon the last monster you'll see Viper."
Loki cried out as it was enveloped in something which Viper blinked at. At that the members of the Investigation Team looked shocked as what appeared was a red, savage looking version of Izanagi.

Upon the Duel's ending both Yu, and Viper's Bio-Bands glowed bright. Yu's eyes widened before he collapsed to his hands and knees breathing heavily. Viper grunted raising up as the Demonic Arm he has vanished restoring his arm to normal while Rise felt something astonishing.
"Guys, something really bad is going on. I think we should get away from here fast." she warned them.
Before they can something started manifesting in front of them.
"It smells weird." Teddie mentioned.
That manifesting was something an orange glowing being shaped as a young boy while having the demonic arm as it breathed in a echoing female voice looking over itself, "Finally... I had regained my abilities in the past. But... My physical form is still beyond reachable at the moment."
"What... what is that thing?" Yosuke questioned.
The thing turned to Viper who stared at it in shock before saying, "Well done faithful Viper. You fulfilled your end of the bargain, but I will carry out the rest of the way. Now I promised you Pierce haven't I?"
With that before anyone can react it grabbed Viper's face with it's demonic arm as it glowed bright before letting go where Viper sees the shade as someone else, "P-Pierce...? Pierce it's me, I'm here..."
"Yes, Daddy! Come on! It's time to reunite!" the shade did a feign voice of a young boy as Viper walked before he fell off the ledge with Pierce in his mind.
"Pierce... We're back together... For good!" Viper cried disappearing in the darkness below.
The shade only looked down where Viper fell musing, "Hm, pawns that fulfilled their end are worthless when no longer needed."
"He... he killed himself." Chie whispered in horror.
The shade then turned over, "And as for you team, I thank you for giving me this chance to reunite with Jaden right after that happened last year. But alas I know you hold abilities beyond my knowledge."
"After... but that's impossible." Rise said fearfully. "I felt it, you were completely destroyed by the Light of Destruction when it was still manipulating Aster."
"Indeed. It felt like I was torn apart." the shade said looking over itself, "I probably would've been dead if Jaden died as well but it was thanks to those Neo-Spacians that he had regained his ability to use his Soul, and you all taught him to master it. And that in turn made me stronger along with Viper's aid." That was before it said to them, "But I still need your assistance."
"Forget, there's no way we're helping you with anything." Kanji snapped.
The shade merely chuckled, "Then how else can you get home?" At that it started to build up energy which made them tense before letting out a bright light.
They all cried out at that. When it faded everyone sees their in a different area with sand around the Academy, and a clear gray sky.
"What the hell?" Kanji questioned.
"Rise-chan, can you tell where we are?" Naoto inquired.
"I... I don't sense anyone we know here." Rise said in shock.
"That's because we're now in a different Dimension." the shade stated to them chuckling.
"What did you do to the others?" Yukiko asked it.
"Everyone else is here now with us but I suggest you not wait long cause soon they'll work for me for me to get Jaden back, and still manage to give me energy to go into my true form." the shade stated chuckling, "But first, I need to get into an appropriate vessel for me to take over until then. And I know the perfect candidate." It stepped to the edge before looking back to Yu is, "And for your sake Yu Narukami, I hope you chose to fight." With that it flew off to the Academy's Infirmary.
"No way!" Chie panicked as Naoto frowned before drawing her revolver and firing a shot at the demonic arm.
The shade dodged the shot before yelling, "Don't stand in my way." She charged an attack calling, "Megidola!"
At that an Almighty Attack charged at them. The Investigation Team members cried out as the attack created a massive explosion.
Meanwhile...
Nurse Fontaine with Marcel were talking about Nanako, Blair, and Jim's conditions before the island shook which Marcel asked, "What was that?"
"I have no idea." Nurse Fontaine admitted.
Marcel walked pulling back the curtain. To their shock they were in the same strange location as the Investigation Team.
"W-Where are we?" Marcel asked shocked.
"I have no idea." Nurse Fontaine answered just as the students started waking up.
"We're in a different dimension Arcana of Death." a voice said behind them.
Hearing that they turned to the voice. It was the shade that the Investigation Team encountered.
Marcel took a fearful step back at that. "How do you know about that?"
The shade merely stepped forward, "I had been observing you Marcel Bonaparte..." As it walked closer Marcel stepped back farther, "About your past where your father decided work over you, and your mother, and that your chosen to wield the most powerful Arcana of Erebus, Death which means the Powers of Life are in your hands which can prove beneficial to me here."
Marcel paused at that. "You've been watching me. How, why?"
"Let's say the Bio-Bands are more then giving me energy." the shade smirked before grabbing Marcel with it's demonic arm, "Now let me in."
Marcel's eyes widened just as the door opened revealing Blair, Atticus, & Nanako woke up letting the three of them see the shade grab Marcel.
"Hey!" Atticus yelled which the shade heard looking over to the three.
"Get away from him!" Blair cried running at the shade.
The shade only transported with Marcel at the door as it smirked, "You want him, come get him!" With that the shade jumped out the window shattering it with Marcel in it's arms. Blair looked horrified at that. "MARCEL!"
They ran out looking at the window not seeing the shade or Marcel anywhere. Suddenly Nanako paused before taking out The First Darklord. "Can you lead us to Marcel?"
The card glowed before a voice said in her head, 'Head into the arena south of the Volcano...'
"I know where he is." Nanako mentioned before telling Blair and Atticus what she heard.
"How can you be sure to trust him?" Atticus asked her suspicious of her Erebus card.
"That's... true." Nanako frowned.
Blair shook her head, "I'm going anyway!" She ran off to the area.
"Hey wait!" Atticus told her.
Blair just ignored him running off to where the First Darklord told Nanako.
"We should find the others, I have a bad feeling about this." Atticus mentioned.
Nanako only looked worried for her best friend before telling, "I'm going with her! She can't be by herself!"
Atticus frowned at that. With that Nanako ran after Blair. Atticus frowned before he turned to Nurse Fontaine. "You can get in touch with the rest of the school right? We need to let the others know what's going on."
Fontaine nodded heading off.
Meanwhile...
Blair arrived looking around where it is where she sees someone kneeling over with a frustrated look. "This is where they were sealed where are they!?"
"Marcel?" she asked nervously.
Hearing that the person looked over, "Tch, you've already tracked me down huh?"
He stood up revealing himself which it is Marcel but he looks different having a long brown cape with his hair looking spiky, and ragged, and having the shade's demonic arm on him with the sleeve ripped along with lighter colored eyes.
Blair looked horrified at that. "What happened to you? No, let him go you... whatever you are!"
The possessed Marcel only smirked, "You want this kid back do ya? Well your gonna have to do something for me first. That is if your willing to do so."
"What is it?" Blair asked uncertainly.
Marcel pointed to what he was doing, "The Sacred Beasts were sealed down there but their gone. Which means you or someone else knows where they are. I want you to get them for me wherever they are."
"Sacred Beasts?"
Hearing that they looked to see Nanako followed them which Marcel smirked, "The Wildcard's cousin who carries Erebus' Justice. Perhaps you can help your friend here with the Sacred Beasts."
"What are you talking about?" Nanako asked him.
"Guess your cousin, and friends never told you about the Sacred Beasts." Marcel mused hearing that before saying, "They are three cards that had been sealed on this Island, and their power triggers the emergence of the Shadows. In fact their the reason why your friends, and cousin are here now, to guard the Sacred Beasts, and control their power from going rampant."
Hearing that Nanako frowned. "If big bro is protecting them I'm not giving them to you."
Marcel frowned before smirking, "Oh yeah?" He took the demonic arm to his neck where the nails are touching it.
"What are you doing?" Blair cried in horror.
"I would rather not do this but I can if you leave me no choice. If you don't hand over the Sacred Beasts then this boy dies." Marcel answered with a smirk, "So what's it gonna be, the Sacred Beasts or this boy?"
"Nanako please!" Blair panicked.
Seeing that Nanako frowned before closing her eyes and nodding.
"Good girl." Marcel smirked lowering his arm, "Now the Beasts?"
Nanako gestured to follow her which they did so to the Investigation Dorm which they walked downstairs after Nanako pressed a button labeled release where the barrier shut down as the ledge that carried the beasts rose up which Marcel smirked walking over to the display seeing all three locked in it, "Finally... With there help, I can regain my true form."
He reached to them only for them to hear something from the otherside of the room.
"What was that?" Blair questioned.
They looked to see someone was waiting as he stepped forward.
Adrian.
"You're... Adrian Gecko right?" Blair recalled.
"That's me." Adrian nodded.
Marcel growled, "I remember you."
"Glad to hear you haven't forgotten me shade. Now I will calmly ask you to step away from those cards." Adrian stated glaring at him.
Marcel only chuckled, "Ah of course, I guess I forgotten about the other reason why your here."
"Other reason?" Blair asked in confusion.
"What do you mean?" Nanako asked Marcel.
Marcel explained to the two, "Adrian was chosen by East Academy to be here yes but it's more then that. Adrian is also the adoptive son of the Gecko Family, and he had been refused his place as heir when his little brother was born. He used to be jealous of him but soon later decided to abandon his jealously, and support him instead." He then smirked, "But not only that he is also an agent employed by the Kirijo Group to oversee the Sacred Beasts are well guarded."
"Wait, but if that's true... are you like big bro and his friends?" Nanako asked in shock.
Adrian explained, "I don't have a Persona or anything of that kind but I got something better." Glaring at Marcel he said, "The ability to fight off Shadows."
Marcel smirked, "Is that a challenge I hear? Why not we make things interesting?" He walked over to the otherside of Adrian who stared before Marcel smirked, "Why not we battle for the Sacred Beasts then? Sound fair doesn't it?"
Adrian glared before deciding, "Alright fine. If that's the case then I'll accept your challenge shade!"
"Glad to hear it. I am wondering what this kid's Arcana of Erebus can do." Marcel smirked to Adrian who only look serious, "Which means you should know, 'Death awaits you'."
"I wonder about that." Adrian prepared himself before telling the girls, "I'll take Marcel from this shade's hold on him. Go find Jaden, and the others, and tell them it's here with the Sacred Beasts!"
"I'm not abandoning Marcel." Blair told him before they heard slow applause.
"A clever idea, but the girl isn't going anywhere."
Hearing that they all looked around to who said that while Adrian looked around, "Who's there!?"
A figure with glowing yellow eyes was staring at them. "Death and Justice in one place, and soon both will belong to me."
Marcel only stared, "So your one of the Shadows that desires the Fall's release."
"That's correct." the figure nodded stepping forward revealing a young woman wearing a robe with several gemstones on it. "I have a proposition for the three of you if you're interested. A Tag-Duel."
"And give me a reason to team up with you." Adrian told her.
"Simple." she stated looking at Adrian. "If you and I work together against the two of them the Sacred Beast Cards will be safe and secure. That is why you came here correct?"
"On the otherhand the Fall will be closer." Adrian stated simply, "Both you, and him threats so I won't let you both take your agendas one step further." He also stepped in front of Nanako, "And if you want her your gonna have to go through me."
"So you'll work with the girl?" the shadow questioned before shrugging. "Very well, I can work with Death."
Marcel only told the shadow, "To be perfectly clear after this duel we will be enemies again, understand?"
"If you insist, though you may find my skills admirable." the shadow stated activating her Duel Disk.
Adrian turned to the two girls, "Guess this means you two are stuck here with me, sorry to drag you into this."
Blair looked worried.
"I'll do my best Mr. Adrian." Nanako told him.
"Just call me Adrian." Adrian stated to her.
With that the four prepared themselves before they all declared, "GAME ON!"

He reveals the field spell card.
"You both play fairy monsters?" the shadow inquired. "That's fortunate for you both."
"Well it's a mistake you battle someone who uses Fairies, cause Nanako's Fairies depend on Sanctuary while I depend on my monsters defending me. I activate The Sanctuary in the Sky!"
They appeared in the temple looking around.

Nanako shook her head while Blair nodded.
"If you have all five pieces in your hand you automatically win the duel." Blair said.
"Which means we gotta be careful to how he uses it." Adrian said to them before placing down a card, "But now the way's clear for Angel Joan to attack Vortex Trooper!"
Guardian Angel Joan charged attacking the lone monster while Marcel grunted. (Marcel & Shadow: 5200/Hands: (Marcel: 4) (Shadow: 5)) Marcel told him, "Well I have another effect in the house. Since you destroyed my Trooper, I can draw another card. But this time I'll let my partner do the draw."
The shadow smirked before drawing. "Thank you."

Nanako grunted not sure what to do before seeing Adrian's look before nodding calling, "Alright, Kristya attack Master Diamond!"
The sudden command surprised everyone as Kristya flew up to attack Master Diamond who readied his sword.
"Nanako?" Blair asked in shock. "What are you doing?"

Just then the display glowed as the Sacred Beasts in black illusion forms raise up which Marcel smirked, "Well then guess that's it." He walked which Adrian yelled, "Hey where you doing we're not done!"
Marcel stopped before closing his eyes with a smirk revealing his hand to the three.

"Hold it, this duel isn't over." the shadow stated grabbing his arm. "Finish this."
Marcel snatched his arm away smirking to her, "Sorry but your on your own this time. We're enemies remember?"
"Your leaving right before you win?" Blair asked shocked.
Marcel only stated, "This duel really isn't about winning or losing, it's to see what you can do. You two are pretty strong, and maybe we can form an alliance here." He then smirked to them, "That is if any of you are interested."
The shadow glared at him only to hear voices. "You'll regret this decision. I'll claim your card soon enough."
She then turned to Nanako.
"As for you, you won't be able to hide behind Cloudian boy next time."
With that she vanished just as Jaden, Syrus, Jasmine, and Zane arrived.

Marcel ignored him before the illusions charged to Marcel only for him to retaliate with orange energy that easily countered the Illusions dispelling them without much trouble.
"What?" Syrus asked in disbelief as they noticed his arm.
"Who or what are you?" Zane questioned.
Marcel walked before using the demonic arm to punch the display shattering the glass as he takes the Sacred Beasts smirking before turning to them, and noticed Jaden, "Well well well... Jaden Yuki, it's been way too long old friend."
"What are you talking about?" Jaden asked in confusion. "We've barely spoken since you got to the island Marcel."
"I wasn't talking about this kid, I was talking about me, Jaden. Don't you remember?" Marcel asked glowing purple when he started talking in the shade's voice.
Jaden froze at that before grabbing his head in pain. "That... that voice."
"Seems like your starting to remember." Marcel said in the shade's voice before the glow faded saying in his regular voice, "But I suppose we have time to 'catch up'. But you wanna check on the Investigation Team before hand."
"The team, what did you do to them?" Jasmine asked him.
"Ran into them after Viper did his purpose, and I dispose of him." Marcel smirked, "Not much effort to hurt them also but wouldn't want them to miss our reunion. See you soon."
With that he glowed before jumping up crashing out of the Investigation Dorm's basement to outside as they grunted while Adrian grunted, "Well there goes my mission for the Kirijo Group. But you know who that was Jaden?"
Jaden didn't answer but was just staring at the hole in the basement only to suddenly blink. "Wait, the Kirijo Group?"
"Yeah, I was here for something else then being East Academy's Rep. I was on the same mission as the Team is on the Sacred Beasts." Adrian admitted knowing their's no reason for it to be a secret now.
"We need to find Teddie and the others, they could be hurt or worse." Jasmine pointed out.
They all ran out to look for them eventually entering the lab where the Team encountered Viper.
Ulrich362: Things are getting really complicated.
bopdog111: Viper's gone but Jaden's Persona who was thought to be destroyed re-surfaced with the Sacred Beasts in hand.
Ulrich362: Add to that the shadows are making more moves to reclaim the Erebus cards and they're in a completely unknown location... what's next?
bopdog111: We're about to learn what the hell is going on how does this shade know Jaden so much, and what's their backstory.
