James POV

I awake to the sound of my cell door opening. "Get in there," I heard someone mutter before they slammed the door shut. I opened my eyes to find Delilah passed out on the floor. I rushed over to her to make sure she was still alive. Her pulse was steady but she had dark circles under her eyes and looked as if she hadn't slept in days. I assumed that she wasn't going to wake up soon so I just slumped up against the wall and waited.

By the time she woke up, it had been hours. "What happened?" She asks rubbing her neck.

"I don't know. I've been here for a while now and you just got here. I was hoping you'd tell me what the heck is happening." I say standing up.

"Where's Abby?" She asks rubbing her eyes.

"I don't know. I figured she was wherever you guys were," I say walking towards her to help her stand up.

"I don't need you." She mumbles pushing off the ground.

"This is probably not the time or place but what is going on with you, you've been acting really weird," I ask.

"How do we get out of here?" She asks looking around, avoiding making eye contact with me.

"There's no way out so you may as well just answer my question," I say sitting down again.

She hesitates but eventually answers in a louder tone than I expected "My problem. You kissed another girl. I mean who does that? I guess it's my fault though." She stops "I never should've fallen for a boy, especially not you. They'll just break your heart. Maybe Daisy does actually know something." She mumbles, but I can't hear her.

"But Delilah, she kissed me I still...I still have feelings for you." She finally looks at me.

"Yeah well, the only one left is Daisy and I don't know what's going to happen next," she says worriedly.

"Delilah, we'll figure this out together, I promise. I know I haven't been the most reliable, but I want to make this better." Delilah hugs me before we come up with a plan to get out of here.
