'Choice is the most powerful tool we have.

Everything boils down to choice.

We exist in a field of infinite possibilities.

Every choice we make shuts an infinite number of doors and opens an infninite number of doors.

At any point we can change the direction of our lives by a simple choice.

It is all in our hands our hearts and our minds.'

Epilogue

In the depths of the burning mako reactor it was simmering.

Big green bubbles rippled the surface, burst before they could rise up too high.

The metal ceiling that had covered it for decades had caved in, construction melted in the raging fire's heat, had given way to a brilliant dark nightsky, littered with a thousand stars.

The last few bits of debries were sinking to the mako's depth and the first few rays of moonlight were touching it's surface.

It was quiet inside.

The buzz of electricy was gone, the humming of the generators had ceased.

There was only the low soft sizzle of the mako, the gentle crackling of the fire, slowly dying down.

Suddenly the mako parted and from it's depths emerged a hand, an arm, a head.

A delicate pale skinned slender arm, a silverhaired redeyed female head.

They were followed by a single strong grey feathered wing, and a slender female body carrying the gaunt unconscious form of a dark haired bespectacled man.

A dark haired bespectacled man with saber long razor claws instead of hands.

'Where are you taking me?' the man in the alien woman's arms asked somewhat hopefully, looking up into her big red eye.

'Home.' The alien woman whispered as she spread her wing and took to the sky, back to where she'd come from, back to where she belonged.

The man in her pale slender arms looked up at her with big admiring shining eyes.

'Thank you.' - Arigato.
