A/N: since I think that I was grasping at straws on Game of Life, I decided to document the supposed events that can support this pairing.
Chapter 7: The Acknowledgement [Part 8]
At the acknowledgement of what has passed that can never be retrieved.
Byakuya had decided to completely accept the past.
While Rukia, finally understood the nagging feelings she felt whenever he is around.
The times, when it's too difficult, to even look at him.
For he was her first love…That she had forgotten.
And she should know her place.
Her place as his adopted sister. And his sister in law.
He is her brother now…. And she should accept it.
The longed past… has passed.
"I will be going to the human world…." Rukia said as she prepared to leave Byakuya's side. Byakuya…
Silence met her words, as Byakuya remained still, his eyes closed, as if he had fallen asleep.
At this, she decided to get up and leave.
"I apologize" Byakuya said stoically. Rukia…

And as Rukia was assigned to the human world to monitor Ichigo's activities, now that he is powerless.
Everyone assumed that the melancholic vibe surrounding her, was due to Kurosaki. And now that she's going to be reassigned to Karakura, the infamous couple will be reunited again.
For that, some of Rukia's friends celebrated, especially since, she will be promoted as vice captain of the 13th when she returns from her mission.
Except for Isane, not one of Rukia's friends knew the truth of her sadness.
