Chapter 80 – Teaching Han
It is being a 1 month since Han and Leia adopted Iris. The girl adapted really well and so did Leia and Han. Han in particularly loved the little girl.
Today the girls decided to go shopping for the Freedom Day. The celebration of the end of the Empire was in 3 weeks, and not only Coruscant was celebrating, but a lot systems all over the galaxy. So Leia decided to take her daughter and sister in law shopping for dresses. Of course the little girl was excited but so was Ines, which made Leia not surprise. Since she married Luke, Ines was in fact embracing her beauty more and in some events she actually had good tasted like the dress she wore for Luke's birthday. Her brother told her he didn't rip the dress apart because was in fact very beautiful and Ines would kill him if he did that.
Because Ines was with his sister and his niece, Luke decided to stay at home with his 4 month old baby. At that age he was really more active, kicking his arms and legs and laughed too, also he started to roll over to his back when he was on his tummy time and could support his head more times.
At this time Luke was siting on the couch, holding Ben's on his right arm, while in front of him was a plate with Shuura puree, his mother Padmé favorite fruit and he and Ines had when they were in Naboo and actually Luke loved it too. Since his son was already able to start eating puree, they started to give that fruit to him and he loved it.
Grabbing a spoon of the puree, he looked at him
"Look baby, here comes Red 5, entering the hangar. Open up" smiling when his son opened his little mouth "Here it comes" and Ben took the spoon licking his lips. "It is good isn't" Luke smiled and kissed his little head.
The door beeped and Han entered
"Hey kids" he said sitting in front of them
"Hey Han. Where is Chewie?"
"He went to the Hangar to do some stuff on the Falcon. Since I had nothing to do I decided to be here." he said and couldn't help but smile when Ben looked at him and smile. "What is it kid. Why are you looking at me with your father's blue eyes?"
"Because he likes Uncle Han" he said, as he put another spoon of puree inside his mouth, laughing every time his baby suck his lips, showing that he loved.
"If you weren't so damn cute I wouldn't like you that much" Han winked at him.
Luke looked at Han while he wiped Ben's face
"How is everything with Iris?" he asked
"She is adorable. I really like that girl, she is my daughter Luke, I don't care if she is not my blood, she is my daughter by heart!"
Luke smiled at his brother in law.
"She is indeed a great kid. And I love when she call me Uncle Luke. And she loves her cousin. If you and Leia didn't decided to take her, I would have done myself. Ines and I already had talk about it, but she is in very good hands"
"Thanks Luke"
Finish the meal, Luke put the spoon on the little plate.
"Can you hold him for a while? I will put the plate in the kitchen" Luke asked passing Ben to him.
Han grabbed his little nephew and looked at him. The kid was indeed getting very beautiful and was really Ines and Luke combine.
"Kid you really are a mix of your parents. They were indeed inspired when they made you" Han said smiling at him.
Ben was smiling at his uncle, but his face started to get a little red and it looked like he was pushing, making Han frown
"Kid what are you doing?"
Ben kept looking at Han and make a pushing sound. Han looked at him
"Oh no! Luke!" he called him, making Luke coming from the kitchen in a hurry
"What?" he asked looking at him
"Tell me your kid is not doing what I think he is!" Han looked at him back to Ben.
Luke looked at his son and as the baby continue to push, the sound of a fart was heard, making Luke laughed out loud as he sat on the couch.
"Come on kid, seriously" Han looked at the baby "You are really doing this on my lap" the baby look at him and another fart was heard and he stopped pushing. "Luke this is your kid, take him"
"I have an idea. How about you change him"
"You lost it, right?" Han asked making Luke laughing
"No. You need to practice. I didn't have anyone to teach me how to bath him and change a baby and Ines and I learn on our own, so you are lucky. Come on" Luke said standing up. "Come on"
Han sighed and looked back at Ben
"Be gentle with me kid" and standing up, he followed Luke to Ben's bedroom.
"Lay him on the changing table while I get the wipes and the powder and the diapers. You can push down his little pants and take the dirty diaper" Luke said and opening the drawer, he grabbed the diapers and from the little baby basket, the wipes and powder, laughing when he heard Han
"Oh my goodness. How can a small human being can do such a smelling thing like this. Kid, seriously. I'm going to throw up" he said taking off the dirty diaper. "Well the force is strong with you kid, that's for sure" Han said as Ben looked at him smiling "You are smiling? You think it is funny?"
Luke smiled and passed the wipes to Han
"Here clean him up" Luke said passing the wipes to Han
"How you and Ines do this all day?" he asked Luke
"When it is your baby you don't mind. And you got lucky. When he was around 9 weeks, he had one of his bowels releases and he was all dirty, up to his back. We need to bath him. So this is nothing" Luke told him
"Leia will be the one to change the diapers. Not me" he said while he wiped Ben's little butt, then without warning Ben started to pee, almost hitting Han "Hey. You almost pee on me kid. What do you have against me"
Luke had to sit on the bed laughing making Han looked at him
"You knew your son would do this, didn't you?"
"No I didn't. He just sometimes like to pee when he is free of the diapers, or while taking a bath. At least he didn't hit you, unless is me and his mother, but it isn't all the time. He is a boy after all, right sweetie" Luke said kissing his little forehead. "Here put the powder, not much and then the diaper"
Han did what Luke asked him and after everything was done, he put Ben's little pants
"Here done. Now go to your father okay" and passing Ben to Luke, who holding him and kissed his little cheeks.
"Well congrats I just taught you how to change a diaper. Han trust me, Iris is not a baby but when you and Leia have one, you won't mind to change the diapers. I thought like you, but when this little one born I didn't care. He is my little baby" Luke said holding his baby closer to him, who grabbed his lips making Luke smile at him.
As they walked back to the living room, the girls entered. Iris ran towards Han
"Father look what Mother and aunt Ines bought for me for the Freedom Day" Iris smiled showing the dress and the shoes
"Wow, very beautiful. You will be the most beautiful girl in the party" Han smiled making Iris smiled happy.
"Look Uncle Luke"
"I see. Your father is right, you will be so beautiful" he smiled to his niece. Han was right, she was his niece too, always.
Later at night at Han and Leia's apartment
Han was caring his daughter over his shoulder towards her bedroom, making the little girl laughed.
"Okay young lady, time to go to bed." he said laying on the bed and pulling the covers aside, Iris crawled under them as Han covered her.
"Father?"
"Yes"
"When you and mother have your own babies, will you loved them more than me because I'm not your real daughter" she asked with a sad face, making Han looked at her with frown
"Of course your mother and I will love you. You are my daughter" Han told her "Where did you get that idea?"
Looking at her doll she said
"Some mean kid told me the other day"
Han sighed. He knew his little girl would hear some of those mean comments
"Hey next time some mean kid say that to you, introduce them your uncle Chewie." he winked making the girl laughed. "Go to sleep" Han said and kissed her forehead
"Goodnight father"
"Goodnight my sweet girl" Han said and left the room smiling. Being a father was actually a good thing.
No wonder Luke is always happy with his little fella he thought
Luke and Ines's apartment:
Luke was in the kitchen, drinking a glass of water. Today was a sad day for him, it was the 4th year anniversary of Nakari's death, a death that still today he blame himself for it. He knew her father would be in the celebration in 3 weeks and that made him nervous. He didn't see Fayet Kelen, her father since the moment he brought his daughter body to him. He knew he also blame him and he understood.
Even if their relationship was short, in a way she was his first girlfriend and they also were each other firsts. So no matter what, he had a special feeling for Nakari and he will always have. No matter what, he did loved her and she will always have a special place in his heart.
Going inside, he entered slowly in his son bedroom and approaching the crib he smiled when he saw his little boy, on his right side, sucking his pacifier. He had his meal an hour ago, and now he will sleep until 6 in the morning. Pulling the covers up he covered him, somehow he was always able to kick the covers down.
Walking out of the bedroom, he entered his own and smiled seeing Ines in a deep sleep, laying on her left with a beautiful hair spread around her pillow.
He did love Nakari but that love was nothing compare to the love he had for Ines. If he ever lost her, he would die alongside with her. She was his world, the love of his life.
Getting under the covers, he got closer to her and pressing his chest against her back, he wrapped his right arm around her waist, kissing her right shoulder. It was with her that he made his son, it was her who carried him 38 weeks inside of her and put him in this galaxy, so he loved her more than he loved Nakari. Ines was also his Forcebond and the fact they loved each other made that connection stronger. They use that connection a lot especially when they made love, something that made an act that was already so pleasure between them, made even stronger. Yes, even if Nakari didn't die 4 years ago, it was with Ines he wanted to spend the rest of his life. Pulling her closer to him, he let the sleep take over, holding the love of his life in his arms.
